Once referred to as "The Mysterious Tapestry", this wall hanging first came to notice during Draconia's tenure as Headmistress. The passageway which existed behind the tapestry has long since been sealed but, the tapestry continues to be a site of great interest to those familiar with its story or appreciate such textile arts. It also makes a convenient meeting place as there is no other tapestry as grand as this in the castle.
A childish, excited grin made it's way across Eris' cheeks slowly and happily as the idea circulated through her mind. The student gardens was perfect as they would be mostly left alone, because really, who studies? Not to mention that they would have a smidgen of advanced knowledge on plants for when class time rolled around, considering Slytherin could afford to miss any more points.
"Brilliant! Let's head over there now then..." the boyish witch practically rocked on the balls of her feet, never being the one able to pose still with the air of excitement and wanting to just run around observing everything she possibly could.
It's probably going to be the death of her one day.
She liked the idea of studying spells as well, "Mmm, were going to be the best witches this school has ever seen!"
Sarah couldn't help but grin back at her friend, yes, this was certainly the beginning of a beautiful, and unrivaled friendship.
"Of course we are," she said faux-arrogantly, "Because we're simply brilliant."

"Really? Is that all it took to get you to lick the spoon?" He thought Evelyn had been exaggerating. But... he didn't know. Mostly because Evelyn hadn't been talking to him. He'd just overheard the conversation.
And more importantly... "Would you really eat a dirty frog if I gave you a galleon?" And... what else would she do for a galleon?
"Are you telling me you'd ruin my day?" Because he didn't think that she had it in her. Plus, they were serving potatoes today, so there was no way the girl was missing out on that.
"Like what?" He was actually curious as to what exactly filled Destiny's days.
What did Carter mean was that all it took?
No, it took much, much more than just getting a galleon to lick the spoon. She had to actually hold the spoon in her hand, she had to then raise her hand, while holding the spoon, up to her mouth. She had to stick her tongue out and then lick. That was alot of work! So it was only right that she would get paid for doing it. At least, in her mind it was right. Merlin knew what was going on in Carter's mind.
But she wouldn't tell him all that. It would only give him ideas on how to make money, and then she'd be put out of business! Besides, by the sound of his question, it seemed like she was going to make another galleon. And sweet Merlin, Hogsmeade weekend was approaching. She be loaded with chocolate forever! "That all depends. Do you have a galleon on you? Right now." Because she wasn't going to wait for it.
Although, they were headed up to the seventh floor. He could go into his Common Room. But she wasn't sure if he would come back out.
Reaching the landing of the fourth floor, bloody steps, Destiny stopped to glance around. It didn't seem there were any good hiding spots on this floor either. If she ever became Headmaster, she'd make sure there were hiding spots. Hearing Carter behind her, though, she started walking once more.. until she reached.. some sort of tapestry. She didn't think anything could be uglier than the statue they just left, but she was wrong. "Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But I could still ruin your day."
Turning around to face him, she gave him a smirk, just because she wanted to, and moving closer to the tapestry, she lifted it from the wall and hid behind it. "Like this." she called out from behind it. "I normally spend my days like this." Which was not too far from the truth.

Carter dug into his pockets. His fingers closed on some coins in his pocket. He withdrew two gold coins. "I've actually got two..." Why...? He didn't know. It was odd for him to carry money when it wasn't a Hogsmeade weekend.
Hmm... had he not emptied this pockets since the last time he went to Hogsmeade?
He dug back in his pockets but didn't find anything else. He just randomly had two galleons.
"What else would you do for a galleon?" he asked. Because he had two. And he might as well have a bit of fun while chasing the snake all over the castle.
He continued to follow her. And now they were on the 4th floor... Did Destiny know where she was going?
"That doesn't mean you will ruin my day." he replied. Mostly because he'd spent half the day already hanging out with the snake. And it was hard to ruin time that was already spent... in fact, he was sure it was impossible.
He tilted his head as Destiny hid herself behind a tapestry. This was how she spent her days? This was her plan for the day?
He ducked behind the tapestry too. He was a tad bit curious if she could really entertain herself with the back of the tapestry all day.
"Soo... what happens now?" he whispered. He decided to whisper because it was dark behind the tapestry... and he had a vague feeling they were supposedly hiding.
And because he may be a bit scared of her answer.

Wait!
Carter had a galleon on him? TWO galleons actually? Well, of course Destiny wanted them both, Hogsmeade was on her mind, but did that mean he was going to make her eat the dirty chocolate frog? Sure, she may have brushed off all the dust, but it was still on the floor. Oh well, at least she wouldn't get grim disease like she did when she licked the spoon.
Eying the SHINY coins for a moment, she gave a shrug of her shoulders. "I don't know. I don't think about that kind of stuff." He would just had to dare her to do something. Then she'd decide if she'd do it.
But if he asked her to reveal the locations of her hidden chocolate stash, she would have to decline.
She rolled her eyes at his comment, he must not know her as well as he thought. If she set her mind on ruining his day, she would. But she wasn't going to mention that. One day, one day she would ruin his day! It wasn't going to be today, though. She was getting far too tired for that.
And she was right, he didn't know her well at all. Did he not remember that day in the garden? The day she and Marie were tied together!? Did he forget the reason why she was hiding in the bush? She really wasn't bird watching. Scooting a little away from him, already dreading the thought of someone catching them BOTH behind the tapestry.. together, she peeked her head out of the side a little to look up and down the corridor. The coast was clear.
"Now." she started, moving her head back behind the tapestry, and keeping her voice lowered as well. "We have to be quiet and listen. And as soon as we hear footsteps, we jump out and scare whoever it is. Usually people don't notice my feet hanging out at the bottom, but they might see yours. Your feet are like BOATS." Merlin, she never realized!

"So then how does it work? I just ask you to do something... and when you say 'no' I offer you a galleon?" Carter asked. Because he could work with that.
...As soon as he could think of something he'd want Destiny to do...
He hoped that she wouldn't try to ruin his day now. Then he'd have to give her the galleon to stick around. He was not letting the snake out of his sight until he got his badge back.
Carter peered around the edge of his side of the tapestry. He quickly ducked his head back behind the tapestry too.
He nodded. Scare someone... this was what she did all day.
It did sound vaguely familiar...
"How long do you usually wait?" he asked. "And how come you know kids will come down this hallway.
He then looked down at his feet and frowned. "You think they're that big?" he asked. He'd never really thought about it. Feet were feet to him.
And he kinda liked his feet... they were his after all.

Didn't Carter ever dare someone to do something for money before?
Sweet Merlin, if Destiny knew she was going to have to explain to him how to do it, she would have never brought it up! How hard is it to figure it out? All he had to do was dare her to do something. And if she did it, she got the money. "Yes, that's all you have to do. But it can't be something stupid like.. tying my shoes. It has to be something I normally wouldn't do." Although, she had licked a few dirty spoons in her days. Meh.
She shrugged her shoulders at his question. She never really kept track of how long she waited, but she did know that she had waited quite a few hours once. And then when she heard noises, she popped out only to run into one of the school ghosts. Apparently ghosts can't be scared. "It's a pretty busy floor. With the library and all, people always come down here. Unless.. you could make it easier on me."Smirk."Leave the tapestry and then I can pop out and scare you!"
It was a GENIUS plan! If only Treyen could hear her now.
"Well, they are alot bigger than mine." Moving her foot closer to his, she measured it against it. "Mine's like a sailboat, yours is like a.. big boat." Which she didn't know the name of.

"Oh. Okay." Carter said nodding. That did make a bit of sense. He'd just have to think of something he wanted her to do.
And something she normally wouldn't do.
But it was hard to think of normal and Destiny at the same time. The two thoughts were completely... non-related. Plus, if Destiny often hid behind tapestries, then he had no idea what other things were normal for Destiny.
"So, does that mean you'd normally tie my shoes for me?" he asked. Because his right shoe was feeling a bit loose...
He tilted his head and looked confused toward Destiny. "I know you're back here though. So I wouldn't be scared." Plus, he was hardly ever scared of Destiny.
Except when she had chainsaws... or beater's bats... or any other type of weapon...
If she magically turned into Evelyn before jumping out though... that would probably scare him.
He looked down at his shoes. Big boat?"Clever, Destiny. Very clever." he said flatly. Were there not big magic boats? Like yachts maybe? His feet were like giant rich people floating hotels.
Wow... he really needed to stop egging Destiny on... now he was beginning to lose it.

Wait. What!? No.
Carter was just thinking of things to make her do because he was too lazy to do himself. Either that or.. he didn't know how to tie his shoes. Destiny was on to him.. like chocolate on cake. Which made her realize just how hungry she was. But she was also NOT going to tie his shoes. "I don't even tie my own shoes, why would I tie yours?" She had tied her shoes loose enough where she could just slip her feet into them.
No tying required! And maybe that's why she always sounded like she was wearing those swimming flippers when she walked down the corridors. They were just a little too loose.
And like every time she was with Carter, she was losing her train of thought.
Shaking her head, she peeked out behind the tapestry once more. No one was in sight! And he was not making this any fun. "Yeah, you may know I'm back here, but you won't know when I'm going to scare you." That's right! "It could be minutes.. hours.. days!" Most likely it would only be until dinnertime. But he didn't know that either!
Moving back behind the tapestry, Destiny glanced down at his feet once more. She knew her big boat reference was clever, he didn't have to tell her. "Where do Yeti's go to dance?" And this joke was just as clever.

Five or six books balanced on top of each other made their way out of the library, closely followed by a girl that was flicking her wand at them to keep them floating forward. Louisa had her bag slung across her body as she cheerfully got out of her haven.
She was glad that flu was over now and maybe a trip down to the dungeons to meet Joao would be a perfect decision! Maybe he'd kiss her then... it stuck to her mind after that Polly boy had mocked her that she'd never been kissed before while Adam was SNOGGING with someone somewhere, and if she went by Polly Boy's sides of story, Adam had booked a honeymoon suite for that yuck girl.

Not cool.
Rubiey had no idea where she was going. Not because she was lost, or aimlessly wandering around the castle as she usually did when she was ridiculously bored and the weather outside sucked, but because she had her head stuck in a book. It was due back at the library in... 5 minutes, but she hadn't finished it and needed it for her Charms homework. So her head was stuck in this book as she walked back to the library, desperately trying to finish the last few pages.
This, however, was proving difficult. Rubiey's mind kept wandering to a certain Gryffindor boy who she had had a date with a couple of days ago. She couldn't help but smile whenever she thought of how well it had gone, and how they had planned so many other activities for them to do. And he had offered to cook her a fake Thanksgiving dinner... squeeeeeee.
Being as oblivious as she was, Rubiey was unaware she had walked into a pile of floating books until she found herself sitting on the floor, with them scattered around them. "Yeowch." She muttered, frowning around herself. Her clutziness was back. Yay.

The wonderful, awesome and mind-blowing scene of books skillfully floating before you as you go out of such a great place as a library. Aaah, Louisa was so smiling to herself in this deserted corridor...
..NOT.
Her books were scattered all over the place as this girl popped up from nowhere and decided to READ while WALKING. Heh. Seriously who'd do this? Hmm? Okay, Louisa does that all the time but again she was a professional bookworm that was qualified by the Sorting Hat itself so she had special abilities that other houses didn't... like this Gryffindor.
With an eyeroll, she squatted down and started gathering them. No magic now. "Are you all right?" A casual question wouldn't hurt.

Being surrounded by books was something that Rubiey was usually very very happy about. But sitting on the floor after walking into them all wasn't the best thing to start the situation off, especially being in a hallway where people could see her. Maybe is she quickly stacked the books up and put them to one side, nobody would notice...
...someone else had beaten her to it. Rubiey realised a second later that the person was probably who the books belonged to, and she hastily tried to help pick them up.
Oh, and now they were speaking to her. Was she okay? Um. "Yeah I'm fine. Typical that I wasn't looking where I was going, sorry." She apologised, handing the girl some of the books before picking up her own. She'd never finish the book in time now. *le sigh*

Louisa smiled formally at the polite girl helping her. Good. She didn't run into a stuck-up for a change. "It's fine." Louisa waved her wand once again and the five books floated, "I recommend looking where you're walking." Bahahaha. "Are you behind in a homework or something?" Because she was a Gryffindor and those peeps never read books in corridors unless for homework. Or so Louisa had thought.

Rubiey smiled at the girl as the books began floating again. Four years at Hogwarts, and magic still amazed her. She shrugged as her cheeks blazed red, embarrassed at her lack of awareness. What was it Professor Tate always said? Constant Vigilance. Yeah, the brunette definitely didn't have that.. "Kinda, it was just background reading for an essay." She said with a wave of her hand. It wasn't anything too bad, but she wanted to be prepared for it. Rubiey liked to know what she was writing about, rather than just the basics. Sometimes she wondered why she wasn't in Ravenclaw...

WHAT? Background reading?! Louisa beamed at her, "That's really interesting." More than interesting actually but Louisa never let herself get carried away. As she stared more closely at the girl, she blinked... "Umm... excuse me but what's your name?" Full name at that, "Because you're so much like a friend of mine...Vashti Greenwell." Not that they were still friends but this stranger didn't have to get into Louisa's dramatic life.

Yet.
Rubiey flushed again under the girls bright smile. "It was very interesting, I like to be aware of the history of the stuff I'm writing about, you know? I'm a bit of a geek that way." She admitted with a small laugh. "Well I'm not Vashti Greenwell." She said with a chuckle. "I'm Rubiey, Rubiey O'Rielly." She said with a light smile. "What about you?" She asked the Claw. It was always good to meet new people, yup.

Louisa chuckled along, this girl was nice - very nice and polite, that flushing face proved it. Yay for being accepted by Louisa that fast, it was a very good thing these days, hehe. "Yeah. I'm a typical Ravvie, so I totally agree with you on that one." Beam.

Rubiey. Adam's Rubiey? Please no, pleeeeease no. Louisa didn't want to hate another nice girl, Ellie was enough. "I'm sorry but.. do you know someone by the name of Adam?" ARE YOU THAT FRIENDS-STEALING OH-SO-LUCKY GIRLFRIEND? Louisa's face was blank as she added, "I'm Louisa Carter." But that wasn't important now... this girl's identity and probably life were at stake.
Louisa chuckled along, this girl was nice - very nice and polite, that flushing face proved it. Yay for being accepted by Louisa that fast, it was a very good thing these days, hehe. "Yeah. I'm a typical Ravvie, so I totally agree with you on that one." Beam.

Rubiey chuckled lightly, happy that there was someone she could talk to about books and not be thought of as a complete geek. Which she was, of course, but still. "My friend Fee always questioned why I was in Gryffindor and not in Ravenclaw." She said with a smile, wondering where her friend was. They hadn't even spoken since Rubiey had returned from her... "travels". *sigh*
Rubiey's smile faltered at the girl stopped talking, but it was replaced quickly by another sheepish smile. So this girl knew Adam, huh? "Fitzgerald? Yeah, he's my... boyfriend." Her grin brightened around the word; it still felt strange saying it. The brunette was slightly taken aback by the girls face - she looked deathly serious, as if Rubiey had just told her she'd killed someone. And then she said her name.
Louisa.
"Oh yes! Adam's friend; the one who is looking after his puppy, right?" She said with a smile. D'aww, Rubiey loved puppies. Well, it was nice to put a face to the name. Damn she's pretty. Rubiey mentally slapped her wrists. Adam was with her now, what did it matter if he had pretty friends? Nothing. Riiiiiiight.

SHE'D SAID THE WORD!
...just like that. Boyfriend. HER boyfriend. Louisa's eye twitched once before a smile played across her lips, genuine but very small smile. "Yeah. He told me about you." Not really, Louisa had to interrogate his so-called best mate. "It's really weird that we met so soon. I was going to ask him to introduce us, you know me and him are very close and best friends." Emphasize on the 'very' and 'best' so this Rubiey girl would know WHO she was talking to... and in case she had any plans of getting rid of Louisa, she'd better get rid of them.
And..what did Adam introduce her as? The one who was taking care of the puppy? The Ravenclaw's face paled a bit before she forced a chuckle, "Yes, yes. JB. The puppy we bought together in our week of shopping in summer." Translation: I spent a whole week with him shopping. ALONE. "You know, he let me name him. JB." Smiiirk.
This girl's reactions to Louisa's hints should determine their further friendship.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."
Adam was hitting that point where he needed a break from the library. He had been studying for a while and he figured after rereading the same paragraph four times before he actually comprehended what he was reading Adam decided he needed to go for a walk. After all it didn't do much good to study when you couldn't really concentrate. Really he had had two things on his mind: one still trying to process the fact that he had a girlfriend. If someone had told him that was going to happen a few months back be probably would have laughed in their face. And two how to tell Louisa that he had a girlfriend. Sure, he had told her about his date with Rubiey...well...really Paulie was the one that had broken the ice on that one, and Adam wanted to make sure he was the one to tell Louisa this time.
As he rounded the corner, getting close to the all too familiar tapestry he stopped right in his tracks. Was this really happening??
There was Rubiey and Louisa. Talking. It was too hard to tell how long they had been chatting, whether or not they had introduced themselves, and whether or not Louisa had made the connection of who that very pretty girl was that he was talking to. He figured he couldn't really turn around and go the other direction since he was definitely in Louisa's line of vision, not to mention that was just wrong. Adam was proud to have Rubiey as his girlfriend, even though he had no idea how Louisa was going to act towards her.
Taking a couple of steps towards them Adam stepped up next to Rubiey, putting his hand against the small of her back so that she'd know he was there. "Hey guys," Adam said with a warm smile. He hoped his nervousness wasn't showing too much.

If it was possible to be friends with her.
Rubiey smiled at the fact Adam had told Louisa about her. It meant he was talking about her, which in turn was very sweet. She hoped it was good anyway, but then again knowing Adam, it wasn't likely to be anything negative. Rubiey nodded as Louisa spoke, noting the emphasis on the words. Hmm. "Oh really? I had no idea you two were that close... Adam only told me you were looking after his dog." Like a dogsitter. Not a best friend. If Louisa wanted to play that game, Rubiey was more than happy to participate.
So the puppy was hers too? Hm. Adam never mentioned that either. Wasn't that a very couple-y thing to do? Not a best friend thing. She'd have to enquire about that later. Rubiey didn't let anything show on her face that Louisa's words were annoying her - instead, Rubiey smiled. "Yes, Adam is a very selfless guy. One of the many reasons I like him." She said brightly. Adam may be Louisa's best friend, but Rubiey was his girlfriend, and there wasn't any way she'd let the girl in front of her forget that.

...Speak of the devil, and the devil shall appear.
Rubiey felt a warm hand on her back and turned to see a rather nervous-looking Adam at her side. She smiled widely and leaned up to kiss him on the cheek. Heh."Hey Adam. Look who I bumped into." She said, wrapping her arm around his waist and smiling at Louisa. "Literally." She added with a light laugh.

Twitch, twitch.
This girl was goooood. Louisa smirked, though, when Rubiey said Adam didn't tell her about Louisa, "Well, you know, you've only met him a week ago or something." I'VE KNOWN HIM FOR MONTHS. Ahem. Her mind was shouting on its own.
Soon, the charming prince came into view. Louisa's face stayed friendly and her smile widened a bit. Rubiey kissed him on the cheek, a LAME kiss and Louisa had the urge to cackle. Just to annoy them both. But she didn't. Adam's happiness was important.
"Yeah, it was crazy how I accidentally met my best friend's girlfriend." A chuckle followed. Adam's nervousness went unnoticed by Louisa. "We've just introduced. Why didn't you tell me how beautiful she is? She does look like Vashti but she is.." Mehhh. "..cute. Really." A FAKE but perfectly acted admiring glance at the girl. "I didn't know what year are you, Rubiey, though?"
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

Adam was a bit surprised when Rubiey kissed him on the cheek, but he smiled at her warmly, holding her gaze for a moment after, before adjusting his arm so his too was wrapped around her waist. Adam could tell that Rubiey's light chuckle was genuine, but he wasn't so sure about Louisa. Something about her seemed off...like she was being a fake sincere for Adam's benefit. He thought that she was on the verge of laughing when Rubiey had kissed him on the cheek, but he didn't comment on it. Instead his smile faltered for a moment before coming back across his face.
When Louisa started going on about why Adam hadn't mentioned how beautiful Rubiey was before, Adam kind of just stared at her. What was she playing at? Did she think he couldn't see that she was acting different? "Well I guess I don't really need to tell you about how stunning she is, since you two just met, but words don't really do her beauty justice I don't think," Adam said, looking down at Rubiey and giving her another warm smile.
Adam waited for Rubiey to answer Louisa's question before he spoke again. "So, I was telling Rubiey about JB the other day and about how you've been keeping him the past week or so, and I thought it might be nice if Rubiey could meet him. Perhaps I could come pick him up sometime this week?" Adam asked with a small smile to Louisa. Directing his next words more towards Rubiey then Louisa Adam said, "Louisa and I met this summer at Diagon Alley while school shopping, and she convinced me I should get a pet since my home life is...well you know," Adam said with a gentle shrug. "Since she helped me pick him out and everything I feel like Louisa is partially his owner too," he said, looking back at Louisa with another little smile.

She had tied her shoes loose enough where she could just slip her feet into them.
"You just said it had to be something you normally did not like tying my shoes." Carter replied. "So I thought that meant that you'd be happy to do something like that."
Destiny's brain needed to learn how to form sentences better if that wasn't the case.
And what did she mean she didn't tie her shoes? Is that why she always sounded like a mad stampede when walking down corridors? He always figured she was just one of those people that never learned to walk correctly.
"You'd make me wait up here for days?" he asked. Nevermind that she'd have to wait that long too. How were they going to eat? "Do you think house elves deliver?" he asked suddenly.
Wait. Why was he thinking about that? He wasn't going to agree to this plan of hers. No, they'd just wait until someone came up here.
....
"I don't know, Destiny. Where do Yeti's go to dance?" he asked.
He should have probably known better at this point in their friendship not to egg her on.

Rubiey's jaw locked for a split second. Louisa knew how to play, and Rubiey gave her credit for that. But she wouldn't let Louisa get to her, nuh-uh. "True. It feels like I've known him for so much longer though, y'know? We've been through the same stuff, it's nice to have someone to talk about it." She said with a shrug. Surely, if Adam and Louisa were as close as she was making out, then he would have mentioned her? But he hadn't, and Rubiey wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
Rubiey smirked at Louisa's comment about her being pretty. She couldn't tell if she was being serious or faking it for Adam's benefit, but she was pretty sure it was the latter. The pause before the word cute emphasised that. But Adam's answer was as sweet as they come, and Rubiey's smirk turned into a full-on grin. "Uh, thanks Adam, but I think you're a bit bias." She said with a fond smile up at him. Then she looked back at Louisa, with more of a smug grin on her face, although it wasn't quite noticeable. [B]"I'm a fourth year."[/B She said with a nod.
Rubiey forced herself not to make a face. JB sounded more like a kid stuck between his parents messy divorce than a puppy between two friends. "I'd love to see him. Dogs are so adorable." She said with a grin. Oh. OH. So the dog wasn't really Louisa's. Okay. "Well that's really sweet of you both. What a lucky little puppy." She said with a light laugh.
