Harvey had always loved the greenhouses, what amazing and fantastic plants there were in here.

He took out his camera and began clicking away. He maintained his distance while taking a picture of the Venomous Tentacula trying to get Harvey, but he luckily was out of its reach. He took two photos here of this plant attempting to get him but not able to get him

Kennedy was happily observing the Flutterby bush. The right side of it looked much neater than before. He was about to continue with the left side when heard a voice near...and then giggles.

Was someone laughing at him?

He turned around at the same time the young girl joined him. "Were you watching me?" he said, just making sure he wasn't actually hearing things...'cause plants couldn't talk or giggle, right?

Ken looked back at the bush that wasn't trembling anymore and nodded. "I think it does," he said. So she was watching him. He figured it would be alright for the girl to join him that way he would finish faster and continue with his other homework. Why did professors give them so much homework? Pfft.

He looked down at the roots she had pointed out. He knew that. "Yeah, okay," he said. The young girl seem to know her Herbology stuff well. He...well, he needed a bit of help from books since he didn't know what some of these plants were. He's never seen moving plants in the muggle word.

Picking up the shears again, he pointed at the middle of the bush. "There's some diebacks in the middle...right there," he said, showing the girl where the dead leaves were. He clipped the ones he could reach, but the further it got his hand couldn't fit. He didn't want to damage the plant. "You think you can reach those?" he asked, seeing as she had smaller hands.

He did a fairly great job with that right side but not very well-shaped, she thought as she observed the boy's work. Then he asked if she was watching him. Oh, that ! "Well, unintentionally yes." She said truthfully as she adjusted her gloves. She did not mean to watch him. It was just that he was carelessly making noises while pruning that Flutterby Bush that she accidentally saw what he was doing.

"Flutterby Bushes are very sensitive and adaptive. I mean, they can easily feel when someone is touching or approaching them and when they sense no harm then they'll calm down." Though calming down for these plants sometimes means shivering and shaking frantically. Plants in this world sure are fanstastic!

She smiled as the boy agreed with her regarding the pruning of the roots. She was not acting like she's someone who knows everything but since they were taking care of plants then they need to be extra careful.

"Yeah, there are." She said, nodding as the boy had told her that there were damaged leaves in the middle of the bush. Then she picked up her own shears when he started cutting off those parts. "Sure. Sure." She slipped her hands carefully inside the bush. "Errr--can you hold this part ? This one here," She said, gesturing with her head a part of the bush that was blocking her sight of the plant's middle area.

Hmm. It was the 3rd today, and Indiana was pretty sure that today was a good day to plant bulbs. And that did seem like fun, so Indy was heading down to the greenhouse to plant some nice bulbs. Hopefully they would grow nice and pretty, so that she would be able to see them grow whilst she was at school. When she got down to the greenhouses, she placed her bag down carefully, and placed her gloves on. She was going to be messing with soil so she didn't want to get her hands all messy. Indy picked up some bulbs, and wandered over to some soil. This was going to be good. She placed her box of bulbs down gently, and began making little holes in the soil to put the bulbs in. Carefully she placed each bulb into a hole, before covering them up with the soil gently. This looked good, nice and neat. She liked it, and would definetly be doing it again.

She stepped back from the bench, admiring her work. Oh yes. She was very pleased with this. She was much more succesful with planting than turning compost.

Violet was in a very good mood that day. She had finished two homework assignments and was well along with her History of Magic and Charms projects. Today she thought she could spare some time to go out into the greenhouses to do a little extra credit work for Herbology. Whistling to herself all the way down the path, she collected a gardening spade, some work gloves, and a workrobe from the supplies area. She also got a medium-sized pot and some soil and fertilizer, and took all the things to a work table off to one side.

She had been reviewing the moon planting guide and notes that Professor Bentley had given them in class, as well as her notes from her lesson in the astronomy tower, because she wanted to find the best time to plant. Today she was going to re-pot some Bouncing Bulbs--sure, that was a little advanced, but Violet was sure she could handle it. She had chosen Thursday, February 24th to do the deed--the moon was its waning phase, which was the best time to plant bulbs, and it was also in Taurus, an earth sign. She had wanted to do it in a descending rather than an ascending moon, but the moon was just not ascending during the waning phase that month, and Violet had decided that the phase was the more important for this task.

She went over to where the juvenile bulbs were kept in small pots and selected one that was ready for a new home. Humming to herself, she carried it back to her table and prepared to uncover it.

Indiana was excited today. She liked planting bulbs. Well she liked planting anything really. It was much better than the turning compost that she had just done. The little ravenclaw did not like compost at all. She mused as she wandered through the greenhouse, not really paying much attention to what she was doing. She was going to check on the bulbs she'd planted the other day, and then like plant some more. Because the more bulbs that she planted, the more pretty flowers that there would be. Ahh. here we go. She'd gotten to where she had planted the bulbs. Ahh. Everything looked pretty good. She patted the soil down, feeling if it was wet enough. It seemed pretty good, meaning that the bulbs would be able to grow good. That was perfect. Now to add som more bulbs to the soil. Indy wandered off, going to collect a few more bulbs.

With her finger she put little holes into the soil, and placed each bulb snug into one. Aww they looked right at home. She patted some soil back on top of them. Ahh perfect.

First Violet sprinkled a little fresh soil in the bottom of the new pot. After first putting on her protective gloves, she moved the dirt away from the top of the bulb. When she could see the top of the purplish bulb showing through the loose soil, she firmly grasped the green leaves clustered on the top and pulled the bulb up with one strong, smooth motion. When she had first done this in class, she remembered how the bulb had sprung away from her and then bounced up at her face, hitting her on the right side of her head. Now she was more confident and firm about what she was doing, which came from experience, but she also thought that it probably helped that she was now doing this at the proper phase of the moon. Maybe there was something to this Luna Gardening after all!

"Oh," he simply said. He didn't like being stared at, but it was probably because he was talking to the plant. Yeah, that was weird even in the wizarding world. Kennedy shrugged and turned his attention back to the Flutterby bush. At least it was shaking all over the place and making him seem silly.

Kennedy nodded at what she said. "Yeah, I just read that," he said, pointing at the book. His pride was plummeting with every word. He was the other one here, he should know more, whatever. He kept a neutral face as he listened and made mental notes to remember what she said.

He turned back to the Flutterby bush and snipped at another branch with dead leaves. Those were no good. Good thing the girl was here or his hands would have fit through the small opening. Kennedy nodded his head and held the part she was talking about. He pulled it very carefully and said, "Like that or do you need more room?" he asked.

Violet now had the junior Bouncing Bulb out of its old pot and grasped firmly in her hand. As she held it before her, she stopped to look at the large, purple bulb that dwarfed its little tuft of leaves that she was holding in her hand. The bulb began to bounce around threateningly in the air as she looked at it, but she kept hold of it this time. Still, she thought she had better re-pot it as soon as possible and not risk agitating it further.

Gently she lowered the bulb into its new, larger home into which she had already sprinkled a welcoming layer of fresh soil. Still holding onto the leaves, she used her other hand to spade more soil around its sides, being careful not to disturb it into kicking up a fuss and spilling the soil back out of the pot. Finally, she spaded the final layer over the top of the bulb, until only the little tuft of green leaves showed.

Finally she gently pressed the soil down a wee bit, then went over to where the water pots were kept, brought one back to her work area, filled it with the Aguamenti spell, and sprinkled the newly potted bulb with some water to make sure it was secure in its new pot. After everything was done she paused a moment to survey her work, then carried the Bouncing Bulb over to the rack containing the larger pots and put it in its proper place next to the other Bouncing Bulbs of its size. When she was done, she cleaned off all her tools and put them away, put her soiled work robes in the laundry bin, cleaned the soil off of her work area, and got ready to leave the greenhouse. She paused at the door and looked proudly back across the room at her bulb--this Luna Gardening was really helpful, all right!

"A little more to the right," she said, referring to space he needed to pull for her to remove the unwanted parts of the Flutterby Bush. Good thing they were working together. The job seemed easier that way. Surely, cooperation iss a big factor in making tasks successful.

"There. That should do it," Beezus said backed away from the plant. She had already cut the dead leaves in the middle area of the bush. It looks better than before, and the unnecessary parts are now out of sight. She thought. Well, her job now is done.

Placing her shears on the ground and removing her gloves, she stood up. Her task was a success. Now, she can go out of the Greenhouse and maybe take a peek at the International Buffet. Then she realized that she had not yet known the name of the boy who helped her, "You're not too bad with plants you know..My name's Beezus by the way." She said cheerfully.

"That looks better," he said, whipping his forehead with his arm that was clean. Now the Flutterby bush looked neat enough to be left alone. He set the shears down and took his gloves off.

He stood up and began dusting his pants off just at the same time when the girl, Beezus, introduced herself. "Thanks...Beezus," he said giving her a small smile. "I'm Kennedy," he introduced himself and extended his hand to her. He'd be lying if he said her name was one he's heard of. It was unique for sure.

"It was nice to meet you Kennedy .. Or can I just call you Ken ?" She chuckled a bit. The boy had that look again. That look that she would often see in people who had just met her for the first time. That look when she would tell them her name. That `Seriously ? That's your name?` look. Oh, now she was used to it. She accepted his hand. "And don't look at me like I've got a ridiculous name, it's actually Beatrice. Beezus is just my nickname," she said.

"Uh, just Kennedy," he said, chuckling. He didn't much like other variations of his name, but he understood, his name was a mouthful. He shook her hand, but then gained a confused look. How was he looking at her. He'd like a mirror right about now. "I don't think it's a ridiculous name," he said, slowly. He didn't, honestly. "Actually, I thought it was a unique name...in a good way," he said, smiling.

Really. He wouldn't dare criticize anyone's name. He was named after a president...so yeah.

Oh, alright. "Kennedy then." But that was just a long name. Oh, well. She knew more people who actually had longer names, so it wasn't that much of a hassle. "Oh." She muttered as he said that her name wasn't ridiculous. "Thanks then," Beezus added. She meant that. After all, he had helped her.

"Well, as much as I want to chat Kennedy..I have to go now. The International buffet awaits." She badly wanted to try out some seafood and salad at the Buffet now. If she didn't only love Herbology, she wouldn't even be here. "So, see you around !" Then she grabbed her shears and walked out of the Greenhouse.

Kennedy nodded and put his things away into his bag. He was glad to have that sorted out. Picking up the shears, gloves and goggles he grinned. "Alrighty, have fun," he waved. He of course was going there too. He was excited to be able to participate in an event like that, so he wouldn't miss it.

As she walked away, he turned to the cabinets and cleaned them with a quick Scourgify before placing them back where they belonged. Now, to go catch up with the rest of his homework.

Awesome day. This was the day Erin wanted to make something really worth the price. What was the price again? Homework? Not so good. She brushed her teeth, ate at the Great Hall and headed directly at the Herbology Greehouses.

Today is the water sign and the best day to plant bulb crops. She still remembered what professor Bentley taught the class during the Astronomy-Herbology Joint Lesson. Onion! She was going to plant onions today. But it would be awesome if she could plant a magical one. Like mandrakes and gillyweeds. However, those were not bulb crops. Choosing the perfect spot to plant her onions, Erin bent down, bottoms down never really concerning about the ground’s dirt. She was prepared to be dirty today. And she was sure; she was going to enjoy it. Before starting to work, she put on her gloves. “Now. I’ll be planting you in here,” said Erin working on soil shoveling it here and there talking to the plant. It would be best if she could sing to it. But it would be a little embarrassing if someone came suddenly and hear her. Epic blow off.

Moments later, she had created a hole wherein she could plant the bulb crop. “Here it comes little onion,” said Erin putting the crop exactly at the hole. Using her tool, she pushed the soil back to secure the onion’s place.

Having picked a task to do for the Herbology Extra Credit assignment, Gideon had looked over his notes to try and decide when to best do it. With mention of harvesting herbs in the waning crescent, he had compared it to the given calendar and figured the last portion of the month fit the requirement. So shortly after the last quarter waning on the 21st, the fourth year Gryffindor headed down to the greenhouses with his work gloves and robes. At least the greenhouses they were to do the assignment in weren’t a disaster like Greenhouse 3 had been before they’re reconstruction efforts. Heading to the sections where the herbs were kept mostly, Gideon slipped on his gloves and looked over what was there as he mused over where to begin.

Minerva came into the Greenhouse. She looked around to see if William was there yet. Minerva walked over to the flowers one being sunflowers that she wanted to harvest seeds from. She started taking out the tools she had brought to do such a task.

" I am here now" William told Minerva. " Ok, you planted carrots, lilly bulbs and now sunflowers which is really cool" Willaim said to Minerva. " I need to plant something, too" William explained to Minerva." Here are yoru sunflower seeds like you asked me to get you" William smiled.

"Well you could plant some seeds from these flowers we are about to harvest. What are you thinking you want to do?" As Minerva talked she made sure she was doing the right things by looking at her notes. We are in Aries and the waning moon perfect for harvesting seeds. Minerva took out a paper bag and put Aquilegia canadensis on one bag and Sunflowers on another. "There the bags are ready for the seeds to be placed in them."

After securing the plant’s whereabouts in the ground, Erin decided to put up stones to circle the onion’s spot. She would not like it, if suddenly it’s gone when she comes back. Or maybe, she needed to cast a defensive spell? Too bad, she had no idea about those spells yet. And yeah, wand movement also counts.

Sitting again, she used her hands with gloves to push back the soil that she dug earlier, here and there until she reached the onions. Suddenly, she thought about watering it, just the usual sprinkle. Since, she knew she couldn’t control the flow of water if she used the Aguamenti Charm, she went over to the Herbology cupboard where she found a sprinkler. “Aguamenti,” Erin said firmly and a jet of water filled the container. Slowly, Erin watered the onion bulb she planted.

She would come back again after some time to check on it. Before she could even wheeled away from the Greenhouses, Erin saw too many lovers planting here and there, probably the Herbology Homework too. "Oh! It was February the 14th today." From the Moon Planting Calendar, today was a Scorpio and a water sign.

" Sure I guess I can plant thesse seeds, too" Willaim told Minerva. 'I feel like I am dong nothing for homework on my part" William said to Minerva. William took the sunflowers. " I will plant the sunflower seeds" Willaim explained to Minerva. " Tell me what do and I will do it" William smiled.

After a week, Erin decided to come back for her onion bulb crop. Seeing that she planted a transplant and not a seed, the fruit of her labor was now all paid off. Just look at those little onion leaves. It was all worth it. It felt like, Erin had done something really awesome. “My onion. You may not smell good when you come out, but I am sure that I’ll be adding you in my condiments,” said Erin with a giggle.

Taking a sprinkle from the Herbology cupboard, Erin casted "Aguamenti" to fill the container with water. She sprinkled it over the onion bulb crop. Smiling, she started humming. They say and most people believed that it was best if gardeners sing to their plants every time they visit them. She couldn't sing in here, not in this place where people will be staring at her. She could at the bathroom, maybe. Hehe.

Deciding to start on one end of the patch of the herbs and working his way across, Gideon grabbed a cloth he had brought with him and laid it out beside him. He had figured to keep them wrapped up in safe keeping until he handed them in for the credit. The fourth year figured to look for clippers like he did when doing similiar tasks at home before realizing it might be more productive using magic. So he proceeded to take out his wand, aiming it carefully at a good location on the plant.

"Diffindo!" he cast focusing the spell to gingerly cut just what he needed. Gideon continuing his careful work as he progressed through various plants, laying it on the laid out cloth before moving on.

Okay. Indy was nearly done with planting the bulbs. She was going to come down and check on her bulbs. Make sure they were okay, and then plant a few more. She'd picked the bulbs carefully, so that hopefully all the bulbs would come out and make pretty flowers that would all go together. She hoped so anyway. The little ravenclaw wandered over to the bulbs, pressing the soil down. It seemed a little dry. She frowned, deciding that she would put her new bulbs in soil that was slightly wetter, and then she would come water these bulbs. She wandered over to another part of the greenhouses, and after patting the soil decided that it would be okay. Reaching she carefully planted the bulbs into the soil. Perfect. She covered them back up gently. She was happy with them.

Indy grabbed a watering can, and filled it with water, before carefully watering the new bulbs, before going and watering the other ones she had planted. Perfect.
