She said something was Vivian but he didn't see what Taryn was introducing him to. Then after a quick look around he saw the vibrantly colored ball of fluff. "Oh what is that?" he asked with a wide-eyed smile. It definately was cool looking. "Oh sure we would love to join you." Taryn grinned happily. "That's good!" She'd have hated for the poor old thing to die a couple of days after Auggie bought him! "What does he eat?" She added, tilting her head curiously. "I still havent figured out what Vivian eats. MAYBE she needed to go have a talk with the Care of Magical Creatures professor!
Taryn scooted over and made room for the boy on the bench. |

Taryn scooted over and made room for the boy on the bench. Yeah if Bruce had...died right after August had bought him, he would have been crushed. He loved animals and he felt so bad for little Bruce when he saw him in the pet store. "Oh he eats lettuce, some tomato and then grass. At home he had the lettuce and stuff but this morning he ate some grass on the way over here." he said sitting down on the bench next to the girl and letting Bruce down on the wood seat beside him. "Well maybe she doesn't eat?" August suggested looking at the Pygmy Puff with a confused and curious look on his face. Bruce felt as he was sat down on the bench near the leg of another person he looked up at the long haired human girl, sticking his neck out and blinking his eyes. |

For a few seconds, Vashti just stared around in awe at the prettiness of the scenery. Now this was probably the best outdoor area to sit and read. It was so lovely and calm and quiet - for the most part - that she wished they'd had it the previous year so that she could've studied for her OWLs outside more. Hopefully it would still be here next term since she would have her NEWTs to study for. For now, though, she supposed it would be great for homework.
But unfortunately she had neither a book nor homework with her to do, and she didn't feel like walking all the way back up to the Ravenclaw common room to get it. So for now, she'd just have to entertain herself by looking around at the scenery.

The crunch of fall leaves beneath her feet was pleasant to her ears and as she walked slowly through the grounds through the natural avenue made by the trees leading to the gazebo, she couldn't help but feel content.
The sun glinted off the natural highlights in her hair, the wind catching it and fluttering wisps like feathers against her face. Her cheeks glowing, looking freshly scrubbed and smelling wonderful as if she'd just come from the shower...which in all actuality she had.
Spying her fellow prefect already there sitting down, Ivory waved. "Hey Theo." Situating herself next to him, she took a nice deep breath as she looked around some more. "I have to admit, this gazebo makes a nice addition to the grounds." Theodore had been examining a bluebird that had been zooming from bush to bush, his mind wandering to Alfie, who owned her own special little bird. To think that this time last year was when they had met made butterflies flutter around in his tummy all over. It took a minute for him to register that anyone, Ivory in particular, had been waving at him. Shaking his head slightly, Theo returned to reality.
"H-Hey!" He chirped up, scooting over to allow her more room to get comfortable. Taking a final look around the gazebo before turning to look at the prefect before him, Theo placed a hand on his knee and tapped his fingers lightly. "Most definitely. I always like to see what new additions they put in for the students. It adds flavor to the campus." Taking a hand to his head, he scratched for a moment before tousling his curls and putting on his more business-like face. "So, this meeting had a purpose... has a purpose. Prefect-y stuff..." Right?

But unfortunately she had neither a book nor homework with her to do, and she didn't feel like walking all the way back up to the Ravenclaw common room to get it. So for now, she'd just have to entertain herself by looking around at the scenery. Alfie was just now getting the chance to walk around the grounds for the first time that term, having heard about all of the new additions. Though she had heard all about them, the gazebo was the first one that the little blonde Ravenclaw really had the chance to admire up close. A gazebo! Since when did Hogwarts have one of these? Being a new student just last year, it wouldn't have surprised her to find that this had been here all along and she had yet to stumble upon the glorious gazebo throughout last year. But something about the other students' faces (those who were currently sitting beneath the large gazebo), each of which seemed awed by the structure in the same way she herself was, told the girl that this was a new attraction placed on the Hogwarts grounds over the summer.
Now if only she could find a place to sit... Most of the seats were already taken, except for one next to a girl she seemed to recognize for some of her classes from last year. Walking over to her, Alfie's large blue eyes settled on her expression in a curious sort of stare that was all too like the 5th Year. Alfie had a bit of a staring problem. It wasn't a creepy sort of staring, rather, she stared when she was very curious about someone. And this girl seemed very familiar. One look at her robes confirmed that she was indeed from the same house, so the odds of seeing her last year were even more likely. "Do you mind if I sit here?" Alfie's soft voice fell through the air as she stood beside the seat in question. She flashed her a warm smile, though her expression also seemed to have an understanding in it that clearly expressed that the girl didn't need to allow her access to the seat she was referring to. Alfie understood that she perhaps wanted to be alone, and her large blue eyes reflected the understanding that this unknown girl didn't need to give up the seat at her side.

THIS was more like home. The outdoor atmosphere, somewhere to sit and relax and study if she had to. Ma had always made them use the garden a lot, they often held bonfires where they sat around the campfire, their ma with her acoustic guitar, singing songs from over a century ago. You could say that life back home was pretty much carefree. Except of course you had to compile to the hippy beliefs. Everyone in the commune was a vegetarian, you weren't allowed to start a fight, in fact you couldn't argue, though that never stopped her twin brothers. Everything was about peace, love and happiness. And although it could get crowded in her shared home, despite the fact she had to share everything she owned, Gwen definitely was happy.
But now she was here and everything was different. Hardly anyone, in fact she was fairly certain no one, would have the same upbringing as her. People argued, fought, there was even the added danger of fighting with your magic. Not everyone was happy, whether it was because of eachother or the fact they were back at school. It dawned on her how good her upbringing actually was.
She sat down on one of the seats, not sure of what she was doing other than exploring. It was nice to take a break, explore at her own pace rather than rush into things straight away. There was a lot to see and she had months to discover it all.

That was just what Gwenyth wanted to hear right now. She was starting to feel lonely, the school had hundreds of students wandering it's hallowed halls but Gwen hardly knew a fraction of them, not by faces, not by name. To be honest, the people she had met were acquaintances rather than friends. She didn't know anyone well enough to state more than three interesting facts about them. It wouldn't be long before homesickness kicked in, at least there she knew everyone and when a new family came into the commune she'd get to know them fairly quickly.
But it was also the fact she was a Slytherin that made her think other houses would find it 'harder' to make friends with her. She knew she didn't completely belong here. She'd never started an argument, answering back wasn't something she would do, and there wasn't a nasty bone in her body. All the rumours were that Snake's were the nasty house. She hoped that people would prove her wrong.
And the voice she had heard was definitely one of the first people to do so. She'd learnt she was pureblooded, and that her family perhaps had some morals that backed up your typical pureblooded family but she had shown her kindness and the thirteen year old appreciated that. "Hello" she smiled as she looked up. "I'm good thank you. Yourself?" she asked distracted by the vibrant lizard that was sat on Aurora's knee.

"I'm alright, I came down to look for some crickets, heard any?" she asked, but Salvatore was already off on the hunt, he's scuttled off her knee and disappeared under the shrubbery already. Aurora's gaze followed his path and she shrugged. "He'll be back when he's full." "So, are you enjoying Hogwarts?" she asked, tucking a strand of her red hair behind her ear.

So the Lizard was a lot more interesting than her cat was. But that was all she was allowed, nothing too exotic, it would confuse the families in the commune who just thought she had gone away to a special environment school especially for girls like her. The cat at least was fairly muggle, no one would think any different of it "Can I hold him?" she asked but he had jumped off already and she shook her head, "Never mind." The brunette took hold of one of her long plaits and adjusted a flower she had placed within it to stop it from falling out. Conversation was hard in a place like this, when you knew nothing or no one. "This is the first place I've explored" she answered her question, glancing out over the gazebo and towards the lake. Pretty. She approved of the school grounds. "Apart from the Common Room but I'm not very keen on that." It gave off the appearance of being dark, damp and cold.

Dang she made herself sound like a whimp. O wells. Lorelai smiled cutely. How old was she? Hmm. Should she tell him she was an ickle thirteen year old? Of course. "I turned thirteen the day after school started" she replied. Yeah, it wasn't a very nice birthday present.

She knew it was Amy and no one else unless somone had managed to clone Amy's voice. she was now blushing she must have sounded like such a retard. Her cheeks were now even brighter then her hair and even brighter then Amy's bright red cardian.

Pam took a seat on the nearest bench. She watched the other students talking, and wished for her friend Nate to be there with her. But she couldn't find him, so she came down here by herself. She sighed happily, and pulled out her lilac parchment, Quill, and blue ink, asnd started writing.

"Flavor. I like that." she commented with a grin as she stretched out one hand to touch the leaves of an especially rounded potted tree to her left. Mr. Stryker had certainly outdone himself with this addition.
But on to more important things. Her face turned serious, her smile still there but looking determined. "Yes, it did and it does." Acknowledging both tenses, Ivory nodded. "Perfect stuff. Ravenclaw stuff to be more precise." Now obviously animated by whatever it was she was about to say, the prefect continued, eyes shining darkly, like water before a storm "Theo, we have a situation." Already, the girl was thinking out on having this exact conversation later with their head of house. It was that important. "A depressing, degrading, heart breaking, can-not-go-on-any-longer situation!" Her hand curled in a small fist that she hit against the top of her leg for emphasis. "The House cup." That was all that needed to be said really. "These past few terms have left Professor V without it to decorate his office and I think this is the year that that has to change."
Standing up, unable to contain her energy sitting down Ivory looked at him hopefully. "But we'll need to work together. To do our best to rally up the Ravenclaws to earn those points." With a small fist pump at those last words, she brought her hand down blushing slightly. "I know it's your last year," Her eyes went wide hoping he didn't misunderstand. " Not that, I'm trying to talk about sad things or hope you leave or anything. I only mean, I'm sure you'd like to leave...with a bang. You know with both cups and in a blaze of Ravenclaw pride." Her determined smile back on, she put both palms together in a beseeching way, even going as far as to do her rarely used puppy dog face. "Please say you'll help."Eyes wide, lower lip jutting out just slightly, looking for all the world as if she die, just die if he said no, the prefect waited for his answer.

But according to my parents, I'm more mature than my fifteen year old sister" she replied.
Dang he was cute.
Back to the conversation. "Thanks" she replied sweetly. So he was older than her. But it didn't mean things couldn't work out. Did it? "Being younger sucks more than my birthday being at the start of a school year" she replied truthfully.

"Being younger sucks more than my birthday being at the start of a school year" she replied truthfully. More mature than her sister? FIFTEEN? "You have a sister? That acts like a little kid?" Well that was odd. He was totally into her but he needed to get to know her and hang out more. "You're welcome." He said sweetly to her. Being younger was awesome. He was afraid to get older. "Being younger isn't totally bad. Because I just don't want to get old." he told her.

Everyone could see it. Even complete strangers.
Maybe when she actually started to feel confident about herself she'd be able to say she liked him? Yeah, that was a HUGE maybe. By Lorelai didn't have that much confidence in relationships. "I think its more the fact that people underestimate me because of my age" she replied. Well, her family did anyway. Wait?! Who wasn't scared of getting old? "Me too"

The brunette took hold of one of her long plaits and adjusted a flower she had placed within it to stop it from falling out. Aurora smiled, "Sure, when he gets back. He'll just sit and steal your body heat for a bit." she said, glancing in the direction he'd run off to. She knew he'd be fine but she still didn't like it when he ran off like that - she worried about the owls. Sage hated Salvatore and she had to keep them seperate at all times, as for Silivius... well you would expect a cat to chase such a small and bright thing wouldn't you, but Silvius was too high and mighty to stoop to that level. "So, have you got any pets?" Aurora asked Gwen, making herself more comfortable and producing her bag of Jelly Babies. She bit into one, it squealed, and she swallowed it, savouring the flavour of the strawberry syrup that dripped from them. "You don't like the common room? But you can see under the black lake... through the windows!" And if that wasn't cool she didn't know what was. Aurora adored Hogwarts. All of it. Except the stairs, there were too many of those...

"My brother is like that but he's changed since he got married." he nodded. He was over his past relationships because he got dumped twice. He was always the dumper but oh well. He nodded. "Well...everyone does that to all people under the age of nineteen." it was true. It happened to him all of the time.

"I think thats the case with a lot of people though" she replied. But she didn't think her sister would change any time soon.
Lorelai lent forward slightly and crossed her legs, her thoughts sticking with Jasper. She didn't think they'd be diverted any time soon. "Good point. I think people think that just because we're younger we're not as wise. I know people younger than me who are wiser than my own parents. Well, my mum at least" she replied. It was true. But only because her mum was so engrossed in being successful she'd forgotten what the real world looked like.
