Okay so her feet didn't hurt yet, her hair was NOT in need of washing, and she was all out of excuses. SIGHS. Making her way down to the grounds and into the tent thingy she went straight for the dance floor where she began to twirl and such. She didn't care that no one else was around... she was Gryffie Girl, she could dance all by her lonesome and it was AWESOME.

This costume was much easier to get around in compared to that Iron Man costume he managed to wrangle out of the ROR a few terms back, but for some reason it made it more obvious how heavy this shield is. He slung it across his back and made his way to the dance floor, just as he spotted Lexi grooving out to a beat.

He switched it out to a song he has asked specifically to be put in the playlist, then scooted towards his beloved, bowed in front of her "May I have this dance M'Lady?"

She wasn't really listening to the music prior to the song change... but her man bowing in front of her caught her attention. Giggling she stopped and placed her hands on her hips. "Well of course, you can Mister... Man in A Rubber Suit Man," she said as she extended one hand to him and winked. No. She had NOT A CLUE what he was dressed as.

Then she heard the song and started to giggle again. "Any chance you had the song played for us, yeah?" HE WAS SO CUTE.

Mister Man in a Rubber Suit? He jokingly feigned offense and did that signature superhero stance "I am Captain America Madame, no mere man in a rubber-- errrr flight suit." He doesnt even know why this costume looked like a flight suit given that the Cap doesnt fly, but he dont need to get down to that kind of detail.

He swooped in and took her in her arms and they started to dance to the lively beat. "Its our song" he smiled then raised her arm to twirl her around. Oh look lovely tutu. He likes it when she wears her tutus "And you are... the descendant of the Great Godric Gryffindor?" he grinned, he knew she was from Godrics Hallow, and really he couldnt be prouder that his beloved was from there.

Lexi merely blinked at him totally unaware of WHO Captain America was. Shrugging slightly she smiled at him and began to dance along. "Well you look lovely in it, whatever it is... and whoever you are supposed to be," she said with a light chuckle. "It's a Muggle thing, isn't it?"

THEIR song. How cute was HE? TOO cute, that's how cute. She let him spin her around and she giggled with glee. Wrapping her arms around him she said, "Reckon you can call me Gryffindor Girl. Made sense to me at the time. Figured I would represent Godric's Hollow and all." See it made sense to HER... now whether it made sense to anyone else, she was not sure. Heh. "I don't THINK I am descended from any of his bloodlines, but I reckon it's possible on the Pureblood side of my family. Seems all pureblood families in Britain are related somehow."

MORE TWIRLING PLEASE?!

"You lot did a great job with the thing here, by the way. Sorry I didn't come participate in it before. I was a bit preoccupied with things," she said as she flourished her hand a bit. He knew she stayed busy and avoided people when possible.

Yeah she totally didnt know who he came in as lol! "Yeahhhh its kinda a Muggle comic book character-- BUT he's not just a fictional character, he represents the ideal, somebody that embodies the traits us Americans can be proud of, " Well most anyway. But she said he looks good in it. He straightened up his back proudly "Thanks Luv!" Really her approval mattered a lot to him.

They danced along o the faster parts of the music "Gryffindor Girl, I LIKE that" he chuckled "All the more reason why this song is perfect for us" he added then TWIRLED her again, watching her tutu spin about, lovely red contrasting beautifully against the black. He drew her close to him "I understand Babe. And thank you, I-- We-- really appreciate that, really worked hard to put this together. We're hoping people will have a good time and learn something more about each other and the world while their at it" Yup that was the goal, certainly just looking at the map he learned so many new things about his friends that he thought he knew well enough already.

GROAN. Muggle comic book characters? Dylan had been obsessed with those stupid things, too. Not that she would tell Salander that she thought they were stupid. No. She would just smile and nod. Much like she had handled her former brother person. "That's lovely," she said. Then nodded at his change in posture and thanks. He was CUTE. Had she mentioned that?

Lexi giggled as she twirled and nodded her head. Gryffindor Girl was pretty brilliant wasn't it? Yep. It was indeed. The song was pretty catchy, too. She did love wrock music and all. Hehe. Laying her head against his shoulder she couldn't help but sigh slightly. She would keep her opinions on wanting to get to know people better to herself. She was here for Salander and the food. That was it, really. And had Sal not found her on the dance floor it mightn't have been in that particular order. Heh. "It's lovely," she mumbled.

This whole thing was pretty cool. All the different countries and costumes and stuff were interesting. Food. Music. Dancing. Fun stuff, all around! Dallin wandered into the tent, circling toward the dance floor just to check it out. It seemed really nice. Or, you know, it would be if he had someone to dance with.

Ellie was coming, right? Hopefully. He could dance with her. Or maybe just find a friend to dance with if Ellie didn't show up.

So, a cultural party, huh? This was actually pretty cool. The prefects always threw cool parties anyways. The tea party two years ago was awesome. And this one was equally swell. So, meandering through the crowd, Ellie made her way in her traditional Irish dancing dress. It was kind of too short for her liking, but it was traditional. And it was actually kind of comfortable. Even if she felt like a dork in the socks and shoes.

Once she found herself at the dance floor, Ellie stopped and looked at the few people already out and dancing. She then saw a brunette boy in a sports uniform. And well, look at that. It was her Dallin. A smile spread across her lips as she went over to her cute little American boy. Ah, the uniform. Must have been.. baseball. Ellie slipped her hand into his and smiled. "Hey, stranger."

The girl was almost in front of Dallin before he realized she was Ellie. He hadn't been paying attention to her as she walked up, and she was wearing a dress that looked nothing like her usual clothes, so when Dallin registered that it was her Ellie was almost right in front of him. He smiled, though, when she put her hand in his. And called him stranger.

"Hey you," he said cheerfully, squeezing her hand. "Nice dress... Irish, right?" Most likely, unless she chose to represent a different country. Maybe her dads? Unles... her dad was from Ireland too. O______o Dallin couldn't remember.

Sky wondered out onto the dance floor. Seeing everyone's costumes, she was now feeling underdressed. Someone had come as Captain America for Merlin's sake, and all she could come up with was a dress and cowboy boots!? Deciding to put that out of her mind, Sky started to dance. She started off doing the robot. Yes, she looked like an idiot, but who cared? She was having a great time!

Well, Dallin seemed happy. His cheerful tone made Ellie smile more and she squeezed his hand in return. But she had to laugh at his question. Irish, right? He should know by know that she was Irish, shouldn't he? He kind of went to her house last summer. And by kind of, she meant most definitely. "Yes, it's Irish." She said, nudging him in the ribs. Ellie eyed her dress. "And it's too short." She mumbled. Meh.

Looking back over at the dance floor, Ellie swung Dallin's hand back and forth to the beat a little bit. Thank goodness most people seemed to be amateur dancers and hadn't actually taken the skills from the dance lesson to the dance floor. 'Cause Ellie didn't have any dancing skills at all. She could bounce on her feet and sway back and forth but that was about it.

Christopher's knees were violently shaking as he approached the dance floor. Violet was there, and he was going to talk to her. For the first time in six months. It actually been the first time he'd even seen her in six months. Merlin he was nervous! He didn't know how in the world Selina expected him to just march right up to her! And even if he did do that, then what? What was there to say? Enough had been said that day, and enough had been done. How could they just act like that didn't happen? How could they ignore the horrible things they had said?

Fact was, they couldn't. There was no way they could pretend that they hadn't hurt each other. Because they most certainly had. They'd have to get past that and apologize and act like grown ups if they didn't want to lose each other. Christopher was just afraid Violet wouldn't be willing to try.

As he approached the now brunette Hufflepuff, he took a nervous deep breath before raising a shaking finger and tapping her on the shoulder. "Erm.... Hi."

As Katrina was partying on the Dance Floor, she saw a fellow Slytherin [Probably the one that got detention for letting out Stink Bombs during the House Meeting] dancing. Katrina thought her dancing was funny, but not in the offensive way.

"Hey there!" Katrina called out. "You're good at dancing, you know! Having fun?" The blonde didn't want to go far with this one, she looked really odd, if that's the right word to describe this one.

louise was walking on the dance floor when she saw her friend Katrina "hi how are you"

Sarah entered the Dance Floor. There weren't much people around. She walked casually as she watched the few and observed their outfits.

Ryan walked onto the Dance Floor dancing to the Music.He danced away,he had never done anything like this before so this was new to him.He wanted to dance With Chelsea but she wasn't here so have to make new arrangement.

Woot! The music was making Katrina party harder! She's never been in parties like these without adult supervision. But as Katrina was dancing, she heard someone call her attention. Katrina looked at her back.

"Oh hi, Louise!" Katrina said, smiling and waving at her friend. Katrina gave Louise a hug. Oh, her heels were stopping her from running that fast. But yeah, it's time to party! And she was wearing a party dress from the U.S. so that's right. "You look fantastic!"

Louise looked good in her dress.

Violet was having such a fun time at this International Dance, so much that she almost seemed to forget about her problems outside the tent. She met a few other people who were all wearing such magnificent outfits and she couldn't hep but ask about where they were from. It was all so intriguing to her. After she had had a little snack at the buffet table Violet knew that she had to take a turn on the dance floor. So she closed her fan and picked up some of her dress and strutted in her favorite pumps onto the dance floor.

The music selections were wonderful and she was having a lot of fun dancing to it. Violet did open her fan every now and then and fan herself while she was dancing, almost as if it were a dance move and also to keep herself cool, also to prevent her make-up from running. It seemed like nothing else mattered to her at all and truth be said Violet really didn't mind right now. She didn't want to have to worry about her problems with Chris, or Selina being upset with her for not telling her what happened between her and Chris, or worrying about Elektra, who was only Merlin knows where, because she hadn't heard from her in a few months. Now was not the time to be upset, or afraid, or stressed. Tonight was just another night to let herself go.

While Violet was not having a care in the world, she could have sworn she felt a tap on her shoulder and heard a soft voice. She immediately thought to herself that it must have been Selina again who was probably just going to complain to Violet about her Irish outfit saying that the dress was too short and her heels were too high for her to walk in. Violet sighed and began saying while she was turning slowly to 'Selina',"Sely, I've already told you more than once that you look fi-" and her heart practically jumped out of her chest when her violet eyes met with an electric blue pair.

It was the one person she never thought she would ever see at one of these events. And he was also the last person she expected to see right now. Immediate flashbacks raced through Violet's head as she stared at his face. Although on the outside all you could hear was the music and people talking and laughing, while inside Violet's head Chris' cold and harsh words rang repeatedly in her ears.

She had also stumbled back almost falling and bumped into someone beside her on the dance floor. Violet gasped and then immediately turned to them saying,"I am so sorry.." She then turned back and looked at Chris but looked him in the eyes only for a moment. Violet then said softly,"...Hi.." she then brushed some of her hair to the side. Her eyes then traveled down to her fan and they remained there, for she was too afraid to look him in the eyes, not after that day, she just couldn't. Violet looked up again feeling rude not looking in the eyes, but it didn't last long again for then she looked to the side of her looking for red hair knowing that that person had something to do with this.

After placing her pin on the map, she made her way to the dance floor. Chelsea loved dancing, but she really never got the chance to. So far...no one she knew. But she just started dancing anyway. When the song ended the dance floor cleared out a little, and she saw Ryan. Smiling as she walked up to him "Hi, having fun?" she asked. "I almost forgot about this around the world thing" she admitted.

He couldnt hide his smirk, then bent slightly to kiss the tip of her nose. She played along with his Muggle pastimes, even if she really couldnt follow. Another reason why he loved her so much. He led her around the dance floor, sometimes singing along in some of the music's catchy lyrics. He then drew her close and felt her rest her head on his shoulder, slow danced, cherishing this moment together as if no one else was around. Towards the end he surprised her by swooooping her low for a dip. "'Cause baby I'm a Slytherin and girl you are a Gryffindor." then lightly kissed her lips.

Pulling her upright, he looked around, eyes darting all around only now realizing that the dance floor was now filled more now than they started earlier. "You wanna grab something to eat?" Who would've thought this song could work up such an appetite?

''Hey,I never thought you would turn up.''He said to her.He started to dance.''You like to dance.''He asked her.He had always loved to dance so this was hs time.''Sorry I haven't been taliking to much.''

He sounded like he was in a better mood then he had been in lately; good thing she showed up. "I love to dance, but never get the chance to really" she admitted. She knew how to dance, such as ballroom dancing since she was little. Looking him in the eyes "Its ok, I understand" she said smiling. "I'm just happy that you seem to be back to your self again" she added.

The moment she'd turned around, Christoper immediately began to regret approaching her in the first place. What was he thinking!? Merlin, he could be so stupid!

It was clear that she'd ben having a wonderful time, and had even managed to dance just as beautifully in the big shoes that looked really hard to walk in. She'd even laughed, thinking he was Selina for a brief moment. He hadn't even realized how much he missed that laugh, not until just then. It was equally clear that he had just ruined her entire night, all while looking like a fool! Leave it to Selina to dress him up like some girl Prince Phillip or whatever the one time he was actually going to talk to Violet. Figured.

When she saw him, her face drained colour, her smile that he had so missed faded, and she even fell back in shock. Or perhaps fright. And even though he'd gotten to hear her voice and laugh for the first time in six months, it wasn't worth it. For her. He made her miserable! He might as well evacuate with as much pride he could muster while he still could.

Trying once last time to catch her eye, and turning out unsuccessful, Christopher's eyes too met the floor. After a few moments of VERY awkward silence, he ran his fingers through his hair and took a deep breath. "Look.... I'm sorry I bothered you.... I should go....." he mumbled, beginning to turn to leave for the second time that night.
