While the original charms corridor is a few twists and turns away, the new Charms Corridor is right here and Professor Schirmer has charmed it in a thousand and one interesting ways. For starters the walls change colour if you breathe on them (or burp or sneeze or sigh or expel warm air on them in any other way). On Thursdays, you can only walk down the Charms Corridor backwards, no matter what direction you are trying to go in. Sometimes it seems like the corridor forgets to put the doors in the right place, and it feels a bit like you're walking forever and never getting anywhere. If it is a full moon, the corridor fills with an anti-gravity mist which makes it rather difficult to get from place to place unless you have mastered the art of omnidirectional floating.

There are various flying objects out of reach above your head; these are things that got lost on their way somewhere. If a student within Hogwarts banished something or summoned something but it never reached its intended destination, chances are it has found its way here and floats near the ceiling with other lost things; an eclectic collection, keeping itself company. Many of these 'en route to nowhere' things now sport cute little wings to help them stay in the air. From eight AM, and for nine minutes every morning, the Corridor seems to forget that it is a corridor, and behaves like a staircase. It feels like you're going up or down, and so you lift your legs and bend your knees, but alas, it remains a corridor. If you trip on the stone work, it says sorry. Yes, that's right, a disembodied voice comes from the stone, apologising for getting under your feet.

Of course this means that Thursday mornings from eight until nine minutes past, if it happens to be a full moon, you'll find yourself walking backwards up or down non-existent stairs whilst floating through the air with the possibility of no doors to escape through.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to try to catch a lonely lost thing with no place to go!

This is where you'll find the mailbox, as well as the doors (sometimes) to the charms classroom and Professor Schirmer's office. If you are waiting to see her you can sit on the floor by the Charms Office door (if its there). Don't worry, you won't get piles, that patch of stone sports a rather cosy cushioning charm!

Arya rolled her eyes, that lingered on the walls for a moment as they changed color. Interesting. "I'll give you a break, when you deserve one." Like those poor poor house elves. Maybe she would try to get in when this whole interaction was done.

The laughing. That was annoying, seriously.

But it was nice to see that she was getting to the girl. Retaliation for all the objects thrown at her head. "... Arya. My name is Arya." She looked at the girl expectantly. Now would she hold up her end of the bargain?

It was better than some nicknames she'd acquired.

Arya watched the girl stalk off distractedly, most of her attention going back to the wall and her purpose for being on this floor in the first place. Though, she did make note to write her former professor, see if Tori kept her end of the bargain.

Probably wouldn't.

Pushing off the wall, she continued down the hall until she located the woman's office.

Well this was a rotten start to her first year at Hogwarts. She was already in trouble and she wasn't sure what she did to land there. With her shoulders slumped and a sad expression on her face she walked down the corridor to the professors office to wait for her.

Harlow sat down on the bench and waited for her name to be called.

"Idiots..." she mumbled under her breath "can't they see it's only a simple charm, daddy taught me that before I even got here!" She strutted along the corridoor, her head held high in the air. Jesifur waited out in the hall for the Professor, she really did want to help. The Professor had given her a funny look as if her intentions were different than what they were. She had really enjoyed charms class and the Professor was so nice. Jesifur really only wanted to help. She was used to doing chores at home and the lack of chores at school made it seem as if she were being lazy. Oh, Dad would be so proud, signing up for extra work.

The boy seemed a bit older than her but she had a good plan for the task they were given, so she decided to offer her idea and see what he thought of it.

"I thought it might be easiest if when we got down to the great hall we could line up the silverware along the table. That way we can walk down each side casting the incantation and cleaning more silver per spell. Then we can flip them and do the other sides and set the tables. What do you think?"

Jesifur followed Corey down the hall, rubbing her hands together. That five kinda stung a bit.

"Oh, I do like your idea. I was just thinking with what I knew, but you are a bit older and would know more spells. Do you think you could teach me how to levitate things? I have not learned that one yet, I bet you could teach me a few spells." Jesifur said excitedly. The thought of it put a spring in her step and he practically bounced down the hall behind Corey, smiling all the way.

As Nate got out his favorite quill and a piece of parchment, he saw the wall behind Pam change color to match her silhouette. "Turn around, the walls change!" he said as he began to write. When he finished, he walked over and placed it into Professor Schirmer's mailbox. When he came back, he began observing the corridor more in depth. "Wow, Professor Schirmer really has charmed this place up a lot," he said.
