Eat, drink, and be merry, O Snakes. Classes begin again tomorrow.
The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.
And what's this? The silverware is tarnished and askew, almost as if thrust on the table willy-nilly. Take a seat and search for a clean spoon while the Sorting Hat ceremony commences. The House Elves have done their clean up work quickly and effectively, and the silverware and dishes are now set to right.

Closing her eye once again, not missing the SHINY on Sal's chest, she'd tackle him for it later, she began pointing with her index finger to her mouth. What was Evelyn waiting for!? But finally, Destiny felt the cool water in her mouth and.. it tasted just like the spoon! Evelyn was trying to KILL her! And then.. she went an spilled the whole goblet of grime diseased water onto her robes and all over HER Gryffindor Quidditch Captain badge!
Carter was going to kill her.
Opening her eyes, Destiny sputtered the rest of the water that was in her mouth out, probably accidentally wetting Evelyn in the process, and using the sleeve of her shirt, she began to wipe her tongue with it. Oh, hehe, there was still some chocolate on the sleeve from that cauldron cake she had with Mina. "I think it was the house elves fault. Or Professor Hadley." The Arithmancy Professor looked suspicious.

With all the commotion going on with her own mouth, Destiny failed to notice Professor Lafay approach the table. And when she did finally notice her.. well, the woman looked angry. It was a normal day!
Or not.
Flinching at the sound of her last name, meaning she was in trouble ALREADY, Destiny dropped the sleeve of her robe out of her mouth and shook her head no. No, she did not want to be set on fire. Buuuut.. didn't fire kill germs!? And she had germs.. in her mouth! "I licked a spoon."

Bleh. "No, Professor."

"Do you think we should...advise them against eating off these dishes?" It was so...gross. The blonde assumed that the house elves were breeding some new form of wizarding disease...
Yes, and they smelled AWFUL.
Looking up, she spied Evelyn and Destiny again...only Evie was now sopping wet. Ugh? How had that happened?
This whole feast was foul...Someone needed to threaten some house elves...Seriously!

Hearing a voice, Boon looked up with a mouth half-full of the most delicious buttered roll she'd ever imagined. "Mmmm-hmm, definitely." She realized she still had food in her mouth, raised her eyebrows, and swallowed. "Excuse me, yes." This girl seemed to be looking around as if she knew a little bit of what was going on, in contrast to all the candle-gazers and herself, still wondering how that bread had surpassed even her own imagination.
"This food is amazing. I'm not sure what to expect next, but they could room me with a wolverine and it would still be worth it." Boon paused, offered her name and extended her hand. This girl seemed alright.
This girl... Has the potential of becoming second Lola. She hesitates for a moment, but Aiden accepts Boon's extended hand. "Aiden Heartnett. I'm in second year," she introduces herself briefly while a smirk spreads across her lips. Wolverine in the room, eh? "Don't worry. Our dorms are completely safe..." she pauses as she recalls back her plans. "Well... Nothing life threatening," the sudden little panic in her voice is very rare.
Eyes scanning the table for more food as Aiden realises her plate is almost empty. Then, she looks back at the Bubblegum Group of their Head of House instructing the Head Boy and all.
Maybe it was because he used the term so often before that his ears picked this one up very easily above the din. He glanced at the new face on the table "You lookin' for the Badges?" he chuckle-smirked at the boy. Oh the irony of him now versus three terms ago "The name's Salander..." he said as he held out to shake the boy's hand "Transferee?" he looked old enough to be out of the firsties league.
Salariel had noted the... whatever it was going on down the table. Professor getting mad at people, people spitting, et cetera. He'd deigned it better to not get involved; suck up's rule number one was to never get involved in a fight the first time you were meeting a professor or someone important, after all.
He had gone back to petting the lump of bat in the front of his shirt when one of the older students spoke to him; looking up, he gave the guy a grin and a nod.
"Aye... was wondering who the ones for my own house were. Met a... red one? Gryffledor? On the train." He leaned out a little and looked at the boy's badge.
Ah. Apparently Mr. Green Badge was more important than the regular old badges. Salander? Salariel lit up. Not only was his house's boy badge more important than the rest, but their names were both weird and a little similar. This was awesome. He nodded in response to the question, taking the older boy's hand and trying to shake it in as firm and manly a fashion as he could.
"Salariel Caine. And yeah, first time here, but 'm a third year. Pleasure to meetcha, Head Boy."
Angelina took a seat at her house table to eat her dinner. She was very excited this day has finally came in her live! She watched around at the others at the table, and wondered if she should talk to anyone...
Ah another firstie. Not big haired though, but looking as equally lost. "Hey kid." he greeted the young one with a slight jerk of his head.
Ashley didn't mean to look lost, and if he'd known that he was giving off that impression, he would have done his very best to put an immediate stop to it. That didn't mean he had a problem with being greeted, however, and he quickly looked up from his scrutiny of the dishware to see who had spoken to him.
"Oh, hi... hi," he said in an annoyingly stupid way that he instantly regretted.

Right! Salander nodded firmly then almost immediately eyes glaze over as he tried to figure out which firstie among the HORDE of firsties his Head of House meant. Big haired.... big haired.... Oh! "'Ey you ok there Harlow?" he asked as he neared the little one cowering in he seat now. Relieved he was to have known her name beforehand, given that Binky probably wasnt the best thing she would want to be referred as. He tried peering into her face but wasnt sure what he was supposed to look for. That was the problem when one is distracted by the circus acts that was the Slytherin table "Did you get hit with anything?"
Harlow was still hiding behind Tori who was in full tantrum mode. And boy could she throw one. Cuba could take notes from Tori. She glanced around and saw the toilet paper boy from the quill store staring at her. She smiled and waved at him, "Did you find your toilet paper?" she asked relaxing with him around. The are between her eyes was throbbing painfully, but at least she didn't cry again. "Yeah a piece of gum hit me and didn't even buy me dinner first," she joked. She didn't want to get the reputation of falling to pieces at every turn.
Even if she felt like she was in Lord of the Flies. All they needed were grass diapers and a bonfire and they would be set. She bet even Tori would be willing to swing in on a vine.

Since there was a symphony coming from her stomach, Nora was about to take something to eat... but everything looked... disgusting. As in... even more disgusting than the bugs for her lizard. "Eww." Was this supposed to be some kind of bad joke? Or... what was wrong?
The girl also happened to hear someone else, who apparently noticed the same thing. "I'm sorry to interrupt," she said, trying to put on a smile on her face. Not exactly a simple thing to do. "Is the food always like this?" Maybe the Hogwarts students were used to it, you know?
And... was Nora actually going to starve?! It was a good thing that she had a lot of sweets in her trunk.
Elina skipped up to the table and found a seat. she picked up a spoon and sat down. Hopefully someone would talk to her. Afterall these were here new hosemases, they were supposed to be family. While waiting for someone to talk to her she pondered over the sorting's hat decision. SLYTHERIN!!. She could not believe it. This was the house her mother had been in. WOW!! She could tell this was going to be great. Way better than muggle school. Honestly going there for the first 11 years of her life was pure torture. Still she waited for someone to talk to her while watching the rest of the sorting ceremony. Hopefully she would make some friends.

You do know what a Carnival is right?" he muttered as he eyed Evelyn a little strangely. Unless she was raised in a convent as a child, he'd think she would have some concept of a carnival.
He glanced at Destiny "I bet she would know what a carnival is." he said as he angled his head towards the other She-Snake. He was almost certain Destiny was raised in a carnival.

Salander's gaze went from Marilyn to the young ones eating off the dirty dishes "Y-yesss......" he replied slowly, then without taking his eyes off the young ones, leaned a little closer to Marilyn and muttered "..... but I think I'd like to know first where they got the food." He spared a glance at the dias. No Headmaster there yet. Therefore no food? "Unless these are food that came with the dirty dishes.... " Ewww much?

He almost burst out laughing when the boy spoke. Gryffledor-- that sounded like a Lion with a Badger's stripe. Bahahaha! He has got to try that with the Lions "Yes the... Gryffindors." he said as he angles his head towards the direction of the Lion's table at the other end of the Hall. But something else kept the amused expression on his face. And it wasnt just the boy's firm grip which didnt go unnoticed "Interesting name you got there Salariel... or would you prefer to be called Caine?" This was somewhat reminding him of young Tom Broadmoor.... which reminded him that he should check on the young rascal. But this rasc--- errrr young one first "A third year? Where'd you transfer from then?"

He burst out laughing. This one has good memory uhuh "No, actually I didnt. But we had a stop over in France before heading off to Asia... so we got the toiletries stocked up there" he nodded. Now that he knew where to look he peered into her face, it looked to him that there was a slight throbbing spot.... "That gum didnt happen to come out of someone's mouth did it?" Because seriously if Diggy could hear this, he should count himself lucky that the Gumball bully didnt think of chewing then spitting it at him heh.

Jonathan kept his eating into moderate as always. He doesn't get it why but everytime he is at Hogwarts, the lesser he eats. It's not that he hates the food, in fact the food here prepared are just mouth-watering, but he just doesn't have much appetite like he has when he goes back home. Bummer. Judging from where he is, the girl seemed to be really new. That at least, he knows. Jonathan bowed his head slightly instead of saying hi. Welcome to Slytherin.

Katrina was glad she finally was in Hogwarts. After her being sorted to Slytherin, she sat down and looked at all the older students.
All of them were familiar but not exactly,
She didn't know the blood purity could help her be sorted in Slytherin.
But she haven't any friends so she might as well shut up at the moment.
He almost burst out laughing when the boy spoke. Gryffledor-- that sounded like a Lion with a Badger's stripe. Bahahaha! He has got to try that with the Lions "Yes the... Gryffindors." he said as he angles his head towards the direction of the Lion's table at the other end of the Hall. But something else kept the amused expression on his face. And it wasnt just the boy's firm grip which didnt go unnoticed "Interesting name you got there Salariel... or would you prefer to be called Caine?" This was somewhat reminding him of young Tom Broadmoor.... which reminded him that he should check on the young rascal. But this rasc--- errrr young one first "A third year? Where'd you transfer from then?"
Gryffindor. Well, he'd been close. Points for trying? He'd only met one, after all, and until recently, Hogwarts hadn't been in his realm of 'I should care about that'. He briefly found himself trying to remember Yellow House's proper name, but stopped caring almost immediately. All that mattered about Yellow House was his hottie hot hottie.
"Innit? Mum and dad named me after a mountain... Some people called me Sal, but I guess that's probably your tag, hm?" He grinned. "You can call me Caine if you really want, but it sounds awful proper and stuff."
Clearly the Mr. Head Boy Green Badge was going to be Salariel's friend, so proper speak wasn't necessary, was it.
"Well... last year I was tutored at 'home' in Trinidad... my first year though, I was in a private school." He shrugged, as if it wasn't odd. "Wasn't for me, neither were. You been here for all your years?"
Back at school at last. Everything that had gone on over the summer was history though he was certain at least one person was going to ask what he got up to. Maybe? Mikey made his way into the Great Hall and toward the table. He sat down where there was a spare space and waited for someone he knew to join him.

Salander's gaze went from Marilyn to the young ones eating off the dirty dishes "Y-yesss......" he replied slowly, then without taking his eyes off the young ones, leaned a little closer to Marilyn and muttered "..... but I think I'd like to know first where they got the food." He spared a glance at the dias. No Headmaster there yet. Therefore no food? "Unless these are food that came with the dirty dishes.... " Ewww much?
Salander had a point. Where did the food come from? The Headmaster had not presented himself yet...and everyone knew the food came after he finished talking...Unfortunately.
Marilyn refused to watch anymore, feeling sick just from the smells..."I suppose they'll tell us what's going on when they're good and ready..."*gag*

Maria sighed and entered the Great Hall and trudged towards the table, her hand mussing her hair again. She saw Mikey and stole the empty seat next to him. "Hey" she said, smoothing her hair back down again.
Lola suddenly stopped her act and slowly dropped down the fork. There was no need when there were such beautiful and kind children over the world. Ones that she needed to mother. She turned her head to this one and gasped. She was offering FOOD! Her OWN BREAD.
"Oh, why couldn't there be more children like you, m'darling?!" She took the bread pieces and put it in the hat. "He says thanks."
And then she pet the girl on the head.
Eris blushed, she had never been told "thank you" by a hat, pureblood lifestyle or not. This was indeed a moment that should remind her to be nicer to the inanimate objects...
As the girl patted her on the hair, her eyes blink for a moment as she let out a small childish laugh. "How did you come across such a hat, miss?" Eris asked with her interest at a high peak. Positive that they were not sold at the pet shop in Diagon Alley.

Jonathan kept his eating into moderate as always. He doesn't get it why but everytime he is at Hogwarts, the lesser he eats. It's not that he hates the food, in fact the food here prepared are just mouth-watering, but he just doesn't have much appetite like he has when he goes back home. Bummer. Even with a full plate, he only manage to finish the pumpkin juice alone. Now, he doesn't want to continue with the food on his plate.

Maybe he could try this jelly stuff??? What in Merlin's name is this anyway? Jonathan pushed it with his fork and the food just jiggled. Obviously.
On the corner of his eye he saw a girl that seems to be looking at him. And did she chuckle??? DID SHE JUST CHUCKLE AT HIM?????????? Jonathan smirked. What did he do now?
Judging from where he is, the girl seemed to be really new. That at least, he knows. Jonathan bowed his head slightly instead of saying hi. Welcome to Slytherin.
Eris looked over at the older boy with a bit of concern spread across her boyish face before fading back to a friendly smile as she tapped him on the shoulder.
"Erm...." she began no sure how to break this since he had already eaten some food. "I wouldn't eat any more of it mister...they say the House Elves went on strike...." Eris continued before holding up her own grime covered spoon and greasy fork as evidence.

Rose skipped to the Slytherin Table, wanting to meet a Slytherin! She saw a First Year Snake alone, and ran to sit next to her. 'Hallo! My name's Rose! Rose Deluise! I'm a Second Year Lion!' Rose smiled at the girl.
