Once his sorting had been all taken care of, Ash turned and hurried to his table, glad to know exactly where he was going to sit from now on. Or was he? Did he want to sit at this table? There was some kind of commotion, weird situations taking place, and once he got even closer, he could see that even the dishes seemed to be having some sort of issues. This wasn't like anything he'd heard from his grandparents.
With a slight sense of disappointment, he found a spot between some students who he figured would have been sitting closer together if they knew each other or something, and sat himself down, just quietly watching. So far, all of the people he'd spoken to beforehand had ended up sorted into other houses, so he didn't even have the benefit of finding a familiar face. Hopefully at least the people he'd sat in the middle of were fellow first years. This would be a good place to meet people, right? He wasn't exactly good at that, though, and often gave off a bad first impression, so he just sat, poking cautiously at the dishes. Have they just not been cleaned yet? But they wouldn't be set out, right? It's not like the beginning of the school year was a giant surprise. Hm.

"Alexia, Alex Carter" she said smiling back at the girls "Nice to meet you" and shook Lana's hand "so.. did you expect to end up in this house?"

Destiny looked utterly destroyed by the taste of that spoon. Could this piece of flatware be the end of the world as they knew it?

Pfft, probably not.

Watching Evie carefully pouring water out of a DIRTY cup into Destiny's mouth was...hilarious, actually. Marilyn wondered if Destiny would notice...but in her dire state, one couldn't be sure.

A male voice joined them and the blonde glanced over to see...*shiny Head Boy badge* Salander. "Nice, congrats on the badge, Head Boy." He said something about the dishes and Marilyn nodded, "It's quite odd...I've never seen them in such a condition. Curiouser and curiouser..."

She went back to watching the water pouring with eager anticipation...That was, until their Head of House's booming voice sent almost a collective chill down the table. In response, Destiny got drenched with the DIRTY!water and everyone else looked startled.

This couldn't mean anything good...

In Kimalia's mind a lightbulb went on. For that she smiled her sweet looking smile, which overshadowed her previous guilty looking one.. Just slightly.
"Well, as a Slytherin, which I am one, I think it would be my best interest to say-" Kimalia looked to her left to add the dramatic effect, oh Lola's acting skills were rubbing off on her. "not get an accomplished Beater on my bad side for letting her take the fall for my selfishness." She then looked dead in the other girls eyes. "It was I who took your gum, not Sierra, and I shared it with her." If this would play out right, Sierra would be free from further humiliation.

Kimalia then looked at Professor Lafay again, this time thinking back to that dreadful night her first year to put on her best guilty look. "I apologize for my misconduct, I won't do it again." Though she knew it would take more than a guilty look and apology to get away with this, it had to be done.

Desiree walked happily over to her new house table, she was so excited, but then it hit her. She didn't know anybody. She didn't see any familiar faces, not even someone from Diagon Alley. Avoiding the commotion on the side of the table seemingly involving gum and an upset teacher, their house head maybe?

She moved farther down the table and spotted a group of girls that had been sorted before her "Hey" she greeted "Im Desiree, could I join you guys?"

Humming to himself and bouncing rather jauntily (he looked rather pony-like, were one to notice the excitement in his step), Salariel moved toward the Green House Table.

Slytherin. Green House. Whatever. The bad kid's table, since according to history all the Big Bads had come from here. Voldiesnakefacemort and all his lovely crew. Even though it was ancient history, he wasn't surprised if a lot of stigma hung around.

Sinking into a seat at the table, he leaned back and looked down the way at all the people seated near him. His Mia was in Yellow House, wasn't she? So she'd be elsewhere... maybe with other hottie hot hotties. He'd have to look later.

"I wonder who our badges are," he mumbled to himself.

"Little brother?" Melania thought, starting to wonder what it would be like to have a younger sibling. "Let's hope for Slytherin! We're smart, too!" she laughed. "Besides we're the best house!" and she stuck her tongue out.

"Nice to meet you Alex," Lana smiled. "Hmm.. I was hoping I would get into this house. Both of parents were in this house when they came here. Along with one of my brothers. My other brother.. well, he got sorted into Gryffindor. Not that I think it's a bad house, just my parents would've loved it if we were all in Slytherin."

Lana realized she was babbling and became embarassed. "How about you?"

She nodded, "Of course. Its what friends are for." she told Tori. She wouldn't sit by and watch a friend get spit on. "My mom says spitting is a disgusting habit of low class people," she whispered. She had to agree there.



She was hiding behind Tori so she missed the look the Dragon Lady threw at her, but she heard the comment about her hair. That wasn't fair! She looked very pretty.

She had flower barrets and everything!

She looked around from under Tori's arms to make sure the coast was clear before she came out. This place was a mad house and a tiny person such as herself could get flattened!

As the idea of working on potions came up, Matt could just picture a bad idea forming but he shook it off and continued to listen to Dia speak without deciding to interrupt her since honestly that wasn't needed since he could wait his turn to speak. "That actually isn't a bad idea persay, potions aren't my strong suit either which I mean; is kind of funny being a Slytherin and all. We're supposed to all be great at potions but alas, I'm not the typical Slytherin." He grinned ever so slightly at that thought since it was amusing in quite a few ways, but maybe working with someone else who was in the same spot as him when it came to potions then it could possibly be an advantage to him.

"I still can't cast a proper patronus myself, I did learn how to last year since all fifth years learn that in Defense Against the Dark Arts but it appears my concentration isn't as good as it should be when it comes to that. But nothing a little more practice can't fix this term, whenever I have a free moment.. that's exactly what I'll be doing." For some reason though, he did find that rather annoying; it wasn't something that seemed all that difficult though for him it was. "I'm much better at Muggle Studies and Care of Magical Creatures, I did get an Outstanding on my Muggle Studies OWL which wasn't what I was expecting but it was good. And I love animals really of all kinds, I worked in an animal shelter part time over the summer helping take care of dogs, cats and birds. Pretty much muggle creatures." Even though he had an owl and a dog, that didn't mean that he preferred muggle creatures over wizarding creatures.

"Well most people aren't so quick to pick that lesson up which honestly is a bad thing since, well.. I think you could get the idea there." There wasn't much more that needed to be said about Professor Lafay since it was obvious that you didn't want to not be scared of her.

"Really?That's great! to have smething in common with your family""In my case I always had a soft spot for slytherin in spite of the bad reputation... I'm half blood and my father was a gryffindor" she hesitated "we don't get on erm.. well so lets say i wasn't fond to much with the house"

William looks for Fee. He will find her here later. William saw what happened to Sierra. He hope she is ok.

Aiden just returned from the toilet. Eating too much treats from the food trolley in Hogwarts Express was a bad idea! She walks to Slytherin Housse Table when she sees Lola and Sierra fighting. Feh! Nothing special! Lola's crazy in the first place! Then again, Lafay is there. It's supposed to be something serious then. Whatever. Better not go near them. Lafay looks like she's in a really bad mood too.

After looking around the table for a while, she finally finds an empty seat next to an unfamiliar, slightly younger girl. Firsties, perhaps? Or she's one of those who's like Heather. Aiden settles down besides the other girl since there's no other options. Se stretches her neck looking at where the sorting ceremony takes place. She hopes that that guy she met at Weasleys Wizard Wheezes- what's his name again? Everett, wasn't it? Hopefully he'll make it into Slytherin. He seems to be an interesting guy to hang out with.

Back to the table. As she fills her plate with roast chicken, gravy, and baked potato, Aiden looks at the girl besides her. "First year?" she asks the girl who appears younger than her.

"Nice to know you, Alex." she smiled. "So proud of belong to slytherin."

Another first year student come to her place. I think I will enjoy my time here. "Sure, make yourself comfortable. I'm Raven Charlotte. It's a pleasure to know you." said Raven

"Hopefully. But let him choose by himself, I don't wanna forced him to be here."

"Yeah, it's a good bonding topic, I suppose." Lana had already missed her family, but she knew she can have a "family" here, too. "I think Slytherin's a great house! But maybe that's just my parent's influence! she laughed.
Half blood, eh? So your mum is a muggle? And really? Well, my parents either. I guess which is why my Slytherin brother told me my parents acted weird when the other got sorted into Gryffindor."

Melania turned around. "Hi Desiree! Of course, come sit!" she scooted over again to make room for yet another new Slytherin . "I'm Melania, but you can call me Lana," she smiled.

"Hi Desiree right? i'm Alex nice to meet you" "here" she said making some space "you can sit beside me" she added smiling

"One of your parents was a Gryffinfor and the other a Slytherin? wow i didn't know that was even possible"

... aaand she was a Slytherin, according to that funny talking hat.

Was this some kind of error? How could a silly, cheerful girl like Nora be a Slytherin? Or... was it because she had a tiny lizard as a pet, instead of a fluffy cat or something? She only hoped that they were not all grumpy.

The girl made her way to the house of green and silver, facing even more strangers. At least the colours were not so bad, and she even had sparkly silver ink! Yes, as if that was going to help her be more Slytherin..ish.

Buuut the good part was that there was a lot of food, and... guess what? She was starving!

"Oh yes of course! I wouldn't want anyone to be where they didn't want to!" she explained, hoping she didn't offend her new friend.

Hearing yet another familiar voice, only this time not a female voice, Destiny once again peeked an eye open. Salander. How funny was it that he would show up right before Evelyn took out her wand to squirt her with water? Well.. that's what she THOUGHT was going to happen. But really, she didn't expect Sal to do anything to help, it wasn't like she was wearing a cauldron on her head. Pfft.

She gave the boy a few winks as greeting anyway, and if she didn't get water in her mouth SOON, not only was she going to DIE, her tongue was going to fall out, and she would have a severe case of lockjaw. All this.. just for licking a dirty spoon!

Oh the things she would do for a galleon.

Closing her eye once again, not missing the SHINY on Sal's chest, she'd tackle him for it later, she began pointing with her index finger to her mouth. What was Evelyn waiting for!? But finally, Destiny felt the cool water in her mouth and.. it tasted just like the spoon! Evelyn was trying to KILL her! And then.. she went an spilled the whole goblet of grime diseased water onto her robes and all over HER Gryffindor Quidditch Captain badge!

Carter was going to kill her.

Opening her eyes, Destiny sputtered the rest of the water that was in her mouth out, probably accidentally wetting Evelyn in the process, and using the sleeve of her shirt, she began to wipe her tongue with it. Oh, hehe, there was still some chocolate on the sleeve from that cauldron cake she had with Mina. "I think it was the house elves fault. Or Professor Hadley." The Arithmancy Professor looked suspicious.

With all the commotion going on with her own mouth, Destiny failed to notice Professor Lafay approach the table. And when she did finally notice her.. well, the woman looked angry. It was a normal day!

Or not.

Flinching at the sound of her last name, meaning she was in trouble ALREADY, Destiny dropped the sleeve of her robe out of her mouth and shook her head no. No, she did not want to be set on fire. Buuuut.. didn't fire kill germs!? And she had germs.. in her mouth! "I licked a spoon."

"Oops, sorry," she laughed. "I must be getting tired if I'm mixing up my words," she laughed again. "What I mean is that both of my parents are Slytherin. My eldest brother got sorted into Gryffindor and my other brother told me it was weird being at home when that had happened. I'm too young to remember though." Lana began to wonder why that happened the more she thought about her family.

"Thanks!" she said to the girl, Raven, that was a nice name "It's nice to meet you too."

Smiling at Lana and Alex she took a seat between the two of them. She had a feeling this was going to be a very good year. "My real name's actually Kiana, but I never liked it" Desiree shrugged "So I just go by my middle name." Suddenly Desiree noticed how empty she felt.. food. That's what she needed, looking at the table she realized there definitely wasn't a shortage of that she grabbed a plate and began filling it with food, "I've never seen this much food in my whole life." she laughed

Lana looked at Desiree in surprise, mouth open. "Kiana is a beautiful name! Why don't you like it?" she asked, very curious. "Don't worry though, I'll still call you Desiree," she laughed.

"Is there food now?! How did I not notice this?!" Lana was starving as well!

"That's makes me sad, to see our parents get disappointed just because of not being where they want us too... they can't make us live their lives besides i think there are no bad houses I mean the problem is not the house but the person" "please don't get me wrong i don't mean your parents it happened to me too" she said a bit sad herself

"Yes me neither" she said after looking at the food for the first time since she sat

"so which subject are you most looking forward to?" she asked the girls now excited

Desiree gave a small laugh "Aw Thanks, it's alright I guess.. but it sounds too similar to my sister's name Liliana. She was in Ravenclaw, so I thought I might be there too, luckily I got into Slytherin like my parents." Desiree smiled at Lana's shocked expression as she just noticed all the food that had appeared "I think there's definitely food, the question is what should we eat..?"

"Hmm.." Desiree thought for a minute "Probably transfiguration.. oh and potions too, I'm definitely excited for that class." she said nodding her head enthusiastically , "What about you?"

Hearing a voice, Boon looked up with a mouth half-full of the most delicious buttered roll she'd ever imagined. "Mmmm-hmm, definitely." She realized she still had food in her mouth, raised her eyebrows, and swallowed. "Excuse me, yes." This girl seemed to be looking around as if she knew a little bit of what was going on, in contrast to all the candle-gazers and herself, still wondering how that bread had surpassed even her own imagination.

"This food is amazing. I'm not sure what to expect next, but they could room me with a wolverine and it would still be worth it." Boon paused, offered her name and extended her hand. This girl seemed alright.

Salander was just entranced with what Evelyn and Destiny were up to... it looked to him like they were practicing their act for the carnival. Or maybe they were part of the carnival and he just didnt notice with all the distractions?

"You two could audition for the Big Top uhuh."


Then he shifted his attention to the blonde she-snake "Heh, thanks....." he grinned as he paused to look down at his badge while desperately trying to rack his memory for a name. Oh! The twitter girl "Thanks Marilyn" he added as he glanced back looking at her this time "Didn't expect this really. Quite a surprise getting owl'd with these during the summer." Yeah play it cool... choke-sputter-fainted wouldnt exactly be the best thing of the image now uh uh..



Right! Salander nodded firmly then almost immediately eyes glaze over as he tried to figure out which firstie among the HORDE of firsties his Head of House meant. Big haired.... big haired.... Oh! "'Ey you ok there Harlow?" he asked as he neared the little one cowering in he seat now. Relieved he was to have known her name beforehand, given that Binky probably wasnt the best thing she would want to be referred as. He tried peering into her face but wasnt sure what he was supposed to look for. That was the problem when one is distracted by the circus acts that was the Slytherin table "Did you get hit with anything?"



Ah another firstie. Not big haired though, but looking as equally lost. "Hey kid." he greeted the young one with a slight jerk of his head.


Maybe it was because he used the term so often before that his ears picked this one up very easily above the din. He glanced at the new face on the table "You lookin' for the Badges?" he chuckle-smirked at the boy. Oh the irony of him now versus three terms ago "The name's Salander..." he said as he held out to shake the boy's hand "Transferee?" he looked old enough to be out of the firsties league.
