Chelsea laughed. "True" she replied.

"I didn't say don't do anything, I just said to be careful," said Violet.

"I would probably hate it there though! Plus, none of my friends would be there, besides you, of course." Faina wrinkled her nose in disgust at the thought of being alone at Beauxbaton.

"Oh! I totally forgot! My name is Faina! What's yours?"

"I know what you mean. At first my aunt told me it was either there or Durmstrang. If I would have had to pick I would have went to Durmstrang because at least I have friends there. But I convinced her to let me come to Hogwarts" she replied. She couldn't believe her aunt wanted to send her to another school at first. Hogwarts is still a good school just the house elves seem to be slacking off.

Ariana chuckled as Scarlett was eating off the grimy plated but didnt seem to care.. Awesome! Sorting was ughh an experience we can say! ahah it was very quiet and did a lot of thinking then just shouted at me!! haha, im super glad of the decisiono as well and so glad your here!"

"Violet, Violet P. Blackthorne. Pleased to meet you."

Harlow nodded. "Yes we do." she agreed. "Its so horrible that on your first day this happened." Harlow noted. Sierra was a nasty little person indeed. She couldn't wait to owl her mom about all of this. "A good cup of hot chocolate and you will be as right as rain." she told her. That was the cure all her mother used when she was feeling grimy.

Feeling a sense of slight relief that she had tapped him on time, Eris was set back into a slight alarm as he spoke a realization the young witch had yet to come too.

Blueish-grey eyes darting from the boy to the food and back to the boy, she had to take a moment to pause in a bit of bewilderment. True, it was her first year at Hogwarts, but surely before she came they had some back ups for the elves if they went on strike or rather something happened?

"I don-" Eris furred her eyebrows as yet another problem arose in her mind, "Wait...don't the elves like working?" she added slowly.

Sure she treated her house elves at home very, very well; but she had thought it to be impossible of a house-elf to rebel.

What had Hogwarts, or rather what could Hogwarts have possibly done to make them rebel? O_e

"Ah, your welcome" Eris beamed a shameless toothy grin. "I'm Eris by the way!" the boyish-looking witch added, childishly forgetting to add her last name.

"The hat did a lot of thinking?"

Looking at a fellow first year with a bit of confusion, Eris couldn't help but feeling like her mind was a bit out of place.

"I barely had it on my head...." she continued slowly as though a thought process was riding like a slow machine through her head, before her eyes flaring with a spark of alarm.

"Was it a glitch?" O__e

She knew it was strange her house was shouted so quickly compared to the other mounting the stool. The tomboy looked down in confusion.

First the hat. Then the silverware.

In a zombie like state, Kennedy walked over to the green and silver decorated table. The words of the Sorting Hat repeating themselves in his mind over and over. Was there a loophole to somehow get out of this? He didn't know. Would he get used to the fact that he was in the same house his father was? He didn't know. Would his mother view him different from now on? He didn't know.

He didn't know anything and it pained him. He didn't want his mom to think of him differently and he didn't want to be compared to the man he share his blood with. He didn't want any of this to begin with. He didn't want to be weird. He didn't want to be his father's son. He didn't want to be different. He didn't want to be a freak. He just wanted to live a normal life with his mother. But, what was normal? He didn't know anymore.

When he got to the table, he sat down and didn't know what else to do. He was lost.

"I just didn't enjoy the hat going through my head. It was like he was my father but 10 times worse! Seriously what is with these plates? It's disgusting." Scarlett wanted to spit the food out, but decided it wasn't for the best. Obviously the house elves were NOT happy with something. "Hopefully someone will talk to the house elves about this..."

Scuttling down the Slytherin table and huffing, Michelle finally found an empty seat. "Phew, there are a LOT of people in this House," she thought after several unsuccessful attempts to find an unoccupied seat after being Sorted. A lot of the first years and the returning students are already chatting away and digging into their food. Then she saw a familiar face,

While waving and hoping Katrina might see her, her gaze fell onto the dining table itself. "What the..", her words trailed away as she discovered Hogwarts had an interesting method of kicking off their first meal of the semester.

Aurora's eyes widened, "You mean, you don't know? He's The Minister." she said. Even she knew that. "It should be better this year, I think all the teachers were hired by Tate this year, last year quite a lot of the teachers were ministry appointed I think..." she said. There was Shaw, he was insane... then Borr... then... but this year all the teachers seemed sensible... "The homework is a bit dull." she shrugged. "I hope it'll be more practical stuff."

"That's because she's great, I mean, she knows so much about potions. That in itself makes someone brilliant." she said. "And then there's her Quidditch loyalty." She grinned, Aurora loved Quidditch, even though she was useless on a broom. "But I guess it's better to stay on her good side." Aurora pondered, giggling.

Aurora looked up just in time to see Kennedy being sorted. Hey, he was in Slytherin! BRILLIANT! She waved and beckoned the boy who had revived her on the train. "Kennedy! Come over here!" she said, gesturing to the seat beside her as she watched his tie, the crest on his chest and the lining of his robes change to the Slytherin green and silver. "You're a Slytherin! Fantastic!"

Looking up from the disaster of a table though, Michelle saw another first year who had just arrived...albeit in an odd state.

"You okay?" she asked, strange someone could be this depressed so early in the term.

Kimalia knew better than to start round on this girl. If she had heard that last comment though, things might've been different. Kimalia smiled coolly feeling successful in supposedly keeping her speechless, before making to take a drink out of her goblet only to stop when she saw how brown the water was... Gross. Kimalia lost her thirst immediately.

Wow, Kimalia didn't intend for this to happen. Wasn't Sierra the girl who dared anyone to challenge her? And now at this moment she's looking.. sorry? Kimalia's smile vanished, but she didn't return Sierra's apologetic look with a matching one. No, no, that would be insulting to her by showing pity. She merely watched Sierra make her apologies. She would definitely have to talk with her when she got a chance. It boggled Kimalia's mind, Who wouldn't accept another one taking the fall for them.

Unable to come up with a solution, she regrettably took a sip of the brown looking water. With a look of disgust and eyes closed, she spat it out in an unknown direction. "UGH!" There goes her cool appearance she had manage to maintain the entire day.

Maddy beamed as she walked over to her new house table, her fellow Slytherins seemed very welcoming. She sat down at the end of the table, where there was room. She was hoping to make a good impression on everyone, being it her first year at an entierly new school. But making friends shouldn't be too hard, since Maddy had made many at her muggle school. She looked arround at the people sitting near her, smiling pleasently whenever she caught someone's eye.

Victoria noticed a Slytherin girl, pretty much the same age sitting not far from her. It wouldn't hurt to talk to her, it's always nice to meet new people. Expecially it's her first year here at Hogwarts, and she really want to get use to it and make lots and lots of friends.

"Hey!" Greeted Victoria gladly. She's lost for a few moments as she searched for more words to say. She twirled her hair around her finger nervously. Who said meeting new people was easy?

Victoria decided to begin by introducing herself first. Or maybe that seemed too hurry? Maybe she should start by complimenting on the feast? Maybe...Victoria pushed all of her thoughts away. She's getting too complicated. It's better just to begin casually. "Hi, I'm Victoria."

Eris looked over as she saw the girl she had met from the train walk over to the table, fresh from getting sorted.

"Hey, Maddy!" Eris called over to her with a friendly smile. "Wanna sit down?" the boyish-looking witch added with a bit of a laugh, scooting over to make room.

The fourteen year old broke from his stupor when he heard his name. He knew the voice as well, he did have a good memory. Looking up, he willed his lips to form a smile. It was small, but nonetheless a smile. "Hey, Aurora," he greeted, trying to put his best face on. He went to sit next to her. "Yeah, huh." He pulled at his tie and cursed at it in his mind. He was going to have to walk around with a constant reminded it seemed.

Trying to distract himself and not seem so sour he looked at his surroundings. It was messy. Wasn't this supposed to be like a prestigious school and stuff? "Is always this messy?" he asked the girl beside him, as he raised an eyebrow.


Kennedy raised his head and gave the girl a 'are you talking to me' look. It wasn't to be rude, he just wasn't used to people talking to him. Maybe a kick here and there, but not talking to him. "I, um, yeah," he said, trying to erased his zombie-like expression.

Knock it off, Escalante. He reprimanded himself.

This was supposed to be like a new beginning in his life. Right? Right. "The sorting caught me off guard," he said, feeling like if he needed to at least give an explanation.

Dani looked up when someone spoke to her and smiled widely- "Hi Victoria, I'm Danielle" she said politely as she moved to shake the other girl's hand in a friendly sorta way. "Good feast, eh? I'm scared of eating all this stuff, the cakes are so addictive" she giggled as she moved and put down her apple, unable to resist the temptation of the gorgeous looking cupcakes nearby.

Maria sighed and sat down at an empty seat, face in her hands as she thought things over. She was all alone this year. Well, except for Emma and Kita. She did have them, which was good.

Angelina watched as the girl walked over looking not so happy, and plaaced her face in her hands. She thought maybe she would just say hi, and find out what might be wrong. So she got up and walked over to the girl and said, "Hi, I'm Angelina."

Aurora smiled back at him, "Hey, what's up? You just got sorted into the best house in the world!" she nudged him. "Come on, it's not all bad." Why was everyone all sad today?

She looked down at the table. "No, this is... new. I think there might be something wrong with the house elves..." she said. "I've already cleaned mine... It's weird... It's usually amazing and clean and stuff..." she said, producing her wand. She pointed it at Kennedy's plate. "Scourgeo" she muttered, siphoning off the dirt. "Much better. You should do your cutlery too..." she trailed off.

A new life. A new year. And a new person to hit Hogwarts. Lorelai walked in the Great Hall not knowing anyone at all. Hmm. Time to see if she could make friends. Very doubtful. She made her way to her house table and sat down at an empty beside a girl. She looked at her and smiled slightly then looked away.

There were so many conversations and things going on all over the place. Ashley tried to listen in on some of them, but he didn't want to look like a creeper or anything, so he couldn't do a very good job of it. Still, he didn't want to look lost or lonely, so he tried to look more... neutral as he quietly watched the others along the table.

"Scared?" Victoria thought that too...the cakes and stuff are pretty addicting. "Yeah...though I couldn't help taking one...they just look so good!" Admitted Victoria as she joined the laugh, looking at the pink icing cupcake in her land. It's tempting. Should she eat it? Taking one and not eating it sound like a waste. "Don't be scared!" said Victoria as she took a lavender colored icing from the gold plate and places it near Danielle. "Just one!" Insisted Victoria as she licked her cupcake. Yum!
