This seems unlikely. All of a sudden house elves just left the dishes uncleaned? How is that possible? Are in they some kind of strike or something? Weird. Really weird. Speaking of cleaning, Jonathan shook his head "It's okay, no eating for me." he said as he looked at her plate. Good for her she cleaned it but how about those first years that just ate without looking at those plates?

Disgusting.

How is the headmaster doing anyway? "I hope so too" If there's one thing Jonathan hates, it's dirt... everywhere. Now, if the common room would be untidy he will definitely break down. He can't concentrate in that kind of environment. "What cause the whole thing in the first place?" Did something happen between the elves that they suddenly stopped working?

BLUEGH! Ewwww. Pumpkin Juice was disgusting!! How on Earth could she have possibly forgotten this information?! Making the most sour face ever, Ainsley spat the liquid back into her cup then pushed it away from her on the table.

Like a real lady.
Maybe her subtly had gone noticed anyway, because someone was now speaking. The fifth year looked sideways, then down a bit, at a short kid. He was a cutie.

"Hullo... um." Finding it too difficult to socialize here!!! "I'm good, I'm good. Just a bit nervous." Ainsley grinned, showing off her teeth, then tapped her fingers together awkwardly. "I'm Ainsley Piper. Fifth year... Nice to meet you," forgotten his name already? "Daichi." That was definitely it.

Ermm.. "So, you look like a Slytherin. Can I ask you a question?" She blinked about fifty times. "Is this the evil house?"

So much FOOOD. Ainsley didn't know where to begin. It was a kind of devil on one shoulder, and angel on the other shoulder situation. The devil was telling her to pig out, steal everyone else's food and not care about any funny looks. But the angel was saying; be a lady. Simple enough...

Tempted by the DEVIL, Ainsley began to stuff her face. Woops.

Hearing words being spoken around her, her eyebrow arched and she looked upwards, cheeks full to the brim with food. Oh, crap. She had an audience. "Hey." Swallow food first, please. "Hey, Orchid. I'm Ainsley. Ainsley Piper." She grinned at the girl, unaware of a piece of lettuce stuck on her front tooth. So much class.

She shrugged her shoulders and Kent fell on the plate once again. Selena supposed she'd just leave him there then. "Because they don't like meeeee?" she offered. She was pretty sure that was true... or they just disliked TallPerson and TallPerson stalked her. Selena caught Kent before he went over to the dude's plate and set him on her own just as she heard his next comment. Her violet eyes widened. "WHAT?! Who would hate the delicious, sweet, amazing, wonderful, awesometastical, fantabulous - oh wait," Selena stopped in the middle of her rantage because she realized he was being sarcastic. "I'm not slow," she announced.

Well... maybe just a bit.

Selena frowned and looked at Kent, running around on the plate and running off of the plate. Selena sighed, picked him up and shook him a bit before placing him back on her head. Hmph. She would show him that Kent could behave. "Well, Kent is a very smart pygmy puff, he's also very lovable, and squishable even if he doesn't like to be squished or hugged," Selena said as a ball of purple fell in front of her, off her head. Selena caught it, and sighed. Stupid pygmy puff, she would have to spend this term training it and not studying. Then again since when was she studying? That concept was foreign to her. "I don't know, you have to ask Kent," Selena said as she placed him back on her head. She adjusted him and beamed. "Deal, I beeetttttt... my dirty silverware and a big colorful lolli-," and just as she was about to finish her sentence, the pygmy puff fell on her plate. "That didn't count, right?" she asked hopefully. Kent wasn't ready for it anyways, so that shouldn't count a bit. Yeah.

Why was he laughing at her? Hmph, some people did not appreciate the truth. "I know so, and I'm going to have a castle made out of candy," Selena added beaming. And vacations would be to the moon. "Can I call you Nik? Oooorrrrr... Niksters?" Selena asked excitedly. She laiked nicknames, they were easier. She then frowned at his statement that he was awesome and folded her arms across her chest. "Well then, fine, but you can't be as awesome as me," she decided. Because no one was as awesome as her... except for Emma and Diggy and Maddie, but they didn't count.

Selena beamed when she saw a familiar blonde. "CAROLINEEEEEE," she exclaimed, beaming and hugging the girl from behind. Because she was sitting and she couldn't hug her from the front... obviously. Oh, it had definitely been far too long, even if she had seen Caroline before at her home. Psht. Selena had a black marker in her pocket... in case they drew mustaches for people... or themselves

Aurora's eyes widened, "But you have to eat! Or... well... you'll be hungry." she said. It was impossible to her that someone might go hungry when it was possible to clean the plate and stuff.

She nodded, "I don't know, I think the elves might be on strike or something... weird huh?" It sucked, she'd have to tidy it herself if not. And she'd never had to do anything like that for herself before... It could go terribly wrong...

Jonathan smiled when Aurora insisted for him to eat. Still, Jonathan shook his head "I don't eat much when i'm at hogwarts..... normally" he said to her. Really, Jonathan doesn't have much appetite everytime he's at Hogwarts and now this happens. Great. Add the fact that he's OCD. Just great. "Don't worry about me..." he looked at her plate "You're a growing girl, you should eat" he laughed lightly.

ON STRIKE????

At least now, he has something to write to his parents. WAIT. If he writes to them about this then maybe they would go crazy and bring Jonathan food everyday. Or maybe clean plates. Plus, his father would never approve of this. He would definitely write to the headmaster or maybe he might tell the ministry or whatever.

Well, maybe most students would tell their parents about this. After all, this is Hogwarts. 'Really? That's odd" he muttered.

Aurora looked at him, "Well, you really should... Not eating can't be good for you. I mean, I never stop." she chuckled and inspected her plate again. "Well, that seems safe now. I hope Tate hurries up with his speech, I'm hungry..." Well, she had fainted, she was allowed to be hungry... Not that it made any difference, she ate all the time. It was a miracle she was so skinny.

Eurgh, she didn't need to be worrying about cleanliness... especially with the experiments she was planning... if there was even one rogue speck of dust it could contaminate a potion... She made a note to brush up on her cleaning charms. "I just hope he gets it sorted out." she said, scowlng ever-so-slightly.

"I just doing some simple charms " said Raven. Then she took her wand.

"Does we allow to use our wand here? But I don't care. Maybe you wanna see this. Lumos!" She show her wand below the table and... The wand produce nice light perfectly. Then she swished her wand and the light was off

Daichi took his gaze away from the staff table. He was seriously interested in this DADA subject. "So that Lord Borr guy is not the official teacher? Thank merlin..." He had almost scratched DADA in his *i hate this subject* book. Not that he had one but mweh. But now Aurora was explaining that the so called lesson last year wasn't really DADA and now he was interest in it again. "I hope the new one is nice too." he said. "All of them actually"

'She must be new' Daichi thought as he listened to the girl who had introduced herself as Ainsley. The second year wondered how it must feel like being older than someone else and yet being new, it must feel ...lonely. Daichi therefore smiled again as he said a "Nice to meet you too" and grabbed his own goblet of pumpkin juice. Yes he liked it. And placed it down on the table.

Adding up ten more blinks with the many blinks Ainsley gave at him, Daichi's expression went from confused to surprised to worried. "THIS IS AN EVIL HOUSE?!" he shouted and looked around at his classmates. He was sorted in an EVIL house? what the?! "I don't know... i never thought this house was evil..." Daichi pouted his lips and folded his arms over each other. "And what if people say it is?" he asked. "I know this house is not..THAT.. evil , Slytherin's are just ambitious and would do everything to get what they want." Because that's how we roll.

He picked up the pumpkin juice again and took a sip. It tasted..funny... The second year didn't dare to swallow it and he saw HIS GOBLET standing on the table. Wait...so then this... O__o

His eyes grew wide as he looked from HIS goblet on the table to the goblet in his hand and started to sputter it out. "PPPPPPPFFFFFTTTTTTT!!!" over the older girl's clothes. "YUCK!"

'I should think you will!' Rose beamed. She saw Katrina take some chicken and rice. She reached for a Quorn Burger as she asked; 'Does it taste nice?' Rose had been a vegetarian ALL of her life. She had never eaten meat. Ever.

"Well we are in school now so yeah we're allowed. I put an expansion charm on my purse also I've made a successful potion already" she said.

She watched Raven create the lumos charm "Cool I use that one all the time at home to walk to the garden of my aunt and uncles manor at night" she explained. Chelsea pulled out her wand "Wingardium Leviosa" she started to levitate the dirty fork "You know I would expect at least Slytherin to have clean silverware"

Maria shrugged. "Not really. Try to participate in classes, but maybe I'll just keep quiet" she said, squeezing Mikey's hand.

Aurora nodded, "Yeah, Borr shouldn't be interfering in Hogwarts. He should just get on with his Minister of Magic stuff." she said, scowling. "I feel like we've missed out on loads. I was reading through my cousins DADA books over the summer - they go to Durmstrang - and they do so much. Though it's more Dark Arts than Defense." she added. Searching the Staff Table again, there were quite a few new faces. "Yeah, though nice isn't always good... I mean, Lafay is probably the best teacher and she's hardly nice." Aurora said. She looked up to Lafay rather a lot; anyone who was good enough at potions to teach it at somewhere as amazing as Hogwarts deserved to be held in high esteem. So, despite the whole setting-students-on-fire thing, Lafay was a role model for Aurora.

Faina sat down. "I'm pretty excited. Now I get to start my own adventures instead of listening to other people's! What about you?"

"Wow. I bet you learn so many things." Said Raven.

"I'm not like you. Just practice some simple and useful charms. Actually I'm a little bit lazy to studying. Hahahaha " she laughed.

Maybe that's why I don't belong to Ravenclaw just like my mom."

Scarlett was excited as she took her place on the Slytherin house table! Finally she felt like she could start a new. The castle was amazing... better than expected and now she couldn't wait to see her new bedroom after she ate.

Daichi seemed like a nice person indeed! And he was definitely giving her a good impression on Slytherins so far. Which was very much needed because her opinion was so low. Sly... Cunning... PSSHHHT. Ainsley was an angel.

KERPLUNK. She had been hit by his defensive shield. "Well, I never thought it was either until I heard that bloody song!" She pointed in the direction of where the sorting hat had been sitting. "I mean, it can't be all bad if I was sorted here." 'Cause like, she was lovely? The boy's answer to her question was satisfying enough, and she did now feel a bit more chilled out, but there was something inside of her that knew that mean Slytherins definitely existed. Her paranoid eyes searched the table for a moment. "Got any, er, tips for succeeding here?" Ways to stop herself getting bullied by students... and possible teachers, too...?

Ainsley turned to the table of food once again when Daichi had a sip of Pumpkin Juice. But before she could pick anything up, he was making funny noises and then.... spitting.... SPITTING ON HER!

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? THESE ARE BRAND NEW ROBES!" Ainsley was no clean freak, but this was her first day and she would rather of liked her new robes to stay clean, THANKS. When she realized that Daichi had drank out of her goblet, her eyes widened and she instantly regretted shouting at the poor child.

"Oooohhhhhhhhhhhh......" Umm... "That would be my goblet."

Chelsea laughed. "It's not that I study I learn it once and thats it. I hardly study I'm a bit lazy at studying too. Magic just comes natural for me. My parents used to tell me it would because of my pure blood line. But I don't think thats the reason I just have a photographic memory" she explained.

Faina sat down and looked around, praying that someone would talk to her. All of her other friends were in different houses. "Stupid, cursed, Malfoys." Faina muttered.

She picked up a dirty spoon, disgusted. Her mother would be outraged. She had gone to Beauxbatons, where she claimed "everything is perfect!" Her mother had almost sent Faina there, but Faina refused to go, saying she'd rather not study magic at all and act like a muggle than go to Beauxbatons.

Raven raised her big glasses and said. "Maybe I'm too enthusiast to be here. At the night before we departed to Hogwarts, I just got insomniac." then she yawned.

"By the way, when the bloody sorting end? I'm so tired now! How many first year students this year? Thousand?"

"Sounds good." Raven just said that words. She was not interesting when someone always said their pride about the pure-blood line. She also comes from pureblood family but her mother always said that not to be arrogant and to show off their pure-blood line.

Samara felt the boy look at her and she glanced up smiling a little. She didn't know many people but she could tell at the very least he was older than she was. She quickly looked back down at her plate not knowing what to say taking a sip of pumpkin juice.

Chelsea must have said something wrong. Was it because I mentioned i was pureblood she wondered. "I'm sorry, did I offend you or anything?" she asked. She was no way proud to be pureblood she was embarrassed at who her parents were actually.

"Haha! I did too! My mother had to give me a sleeping drought." Faina laughed at the memory. "And I know what you mean. All my other friends are in different houses... I can't wait for an opportunity to talk to them!"

Gwen couldn't help but giggle at the girls answer, which was unusual considering that she was incredibly nervous talking to these people. It had been SO much easier making friends back in Ireland, because they were just like her. Their upbringing had been the same and their personalities were incredibly predictable. But these Slytherins, they were all different and just by looking at them you couldn't tell whether they were truly friendly or putting on a façade and secretly hated the sight of you. "Really?" she faked a shocked expression. "What's a dementor?" she asked, her face falling as she realised how stupid she sounded. Seriously, she had tried her best with summer reading but she still hadn't caught up completely.

"It's Welsh. My Da's Welsh but I'm Irish" Hence the accent. "But I like being called Gwen" although she obviously didn't have to call her that. It was her choice to call her whatever she wanted. She nodded at her statement. "You have magical blood even if your parents are both Muggles" Like her second eldest brother. "Yes. My ma remarried after her first husband left him" Hence why it took a few years for them to try for another child. "I have two younger brothers too. Twins" Yes. A household full of brothers, plus all the other Commune families. She was used to absolutely massive communities.

But the poor house elves. "Are you sure?" she asked biting her lip again. It didn't exactly seem like an appealing thing to be doing. It wouldn't take that much effort for everyone to do it themselves. Just a few spells and it would all be clean. "Thank you" she spoke, wide eyed as Aurora, whom had a lovely name, cleaned her plates and cutlery. It was fascinating wasn't it? This magic thing. Despite the fact she had seen her brothers perform magic many times before.

"Oh, nothing " She said. "I just.. yeah, sorry if I offend you, don't like the ways who was too arrogant with their pure-blood ancestry." Raven said those statement carefully. She didn't want to offend Chelsea.

"Because, I think the ability of a wizard is more " she continued her statement

"Wow, you will have the chance to talked to them." she said.

"I also want to know some people from different house too."

"Sadly enough, you are the first first year Slytherin i have talked to. I have friends in every other house besides Slytherin." Faina huffed but, smiled anyways. "You seem cool, though." Faina looked at the forks strewn across the table. "This is disgusting!"
