Audrey couldn't believe it. She was in Hogwarts finally. Her dream come true. She had waited for this since she was...born. She took a seat and watched around the Table at the other students taking their seats.

Marilyn could not get off the Hogwarts express fast enough. Students were filing in everywhere, and the blonde felt it safe to assume that she could slip away if need be. Deciding just to slip to her own house table...she took a seat.

Maybe if she was really lucky, no one would bother her.

Too bad, Marilyn was NOT a lucky person...

After staring at the table, something was off. The usually pristine gold flatware was...dingy? And the usual placement of the plate was...unusual. The presentation was sloppy. Something was...off here.

Sarah looked around excitedly. SHE HAD ARRIVED!!!! After what seemed life forever chatting on the train with her friends (almost none of which were actually in her house D: ), she was finally at Hogwarts!

She wondered who she should sit next to, until she saw another girl about her won age sit down.

"Hi!" Sarah said, feeling hopped up on adrenaline, "Do you mind if I sit here?"

Hmm...Victoria didn't at all enojoyed the train ride. It was bumpy, loud, and uncomfortable, probably the worst train ride she had ever had in her experiences of train rides. But her spirits were lifted as she entered the giant castle. It went even higher when she entered the Great Hall. Candles were lit everywhere! The ceiling looked...stunning! (Victoria have heard about the enchantement.) She couldn't help 'wooing" and 'ahhing' at everything. She certaining wasn't disappionted.

Victoria took a seat on the Slytherin table, congratulating herself for finding the right table to sit. The first ones here, actually, from the looks of the empty long table. Victoria looked around as the students began filling in the seats of the Great Hall.

Wist was soooo excited to be in SLYTHERIN!!! She had at first wanted Gryffindor, but Slytherin was cool all the way!
"Mind if I sit with you two?" she asked.

After all that candy, Tori was hardly hungry for a feast. She was, however, incredibly excited to be sorted in the shiny silver and green house. Yay, snakies! Slytherin House was totally BOSS.

"Hallo.........housemates," Victoria greeted the peeps already at the table as she sat down. "Would ya look at this silverware? Just look at it." She picked up a spoon to try to see her reflection and frowned.

Didn't they have House Elves here? Maybe they were slacking. Or on strike. Hmm.

Audrey was startled when a girl about her age also came up to her and asked if she could sit next to her. "Sure," she smiled kindly. "I'm Audrey Parker."

"Hi!" Sarah said, grinning at Audrey, "I'm Sarah Oliver. First year, obviously in Slytherin... I'm a muggleborn, so my knowledge about this place is a bit limited. What about you? Pureblood?"

"I don't mind." Sarah said, smiling, "What about you, Audrey?"

Faina approached a girl who looked about your age. "Hi! I'm Faina! First year, Slytherin. Mind if I join you?"

As soon as she stepped foot on the grounds of the school, Sierra got a nervous feeling deep in the pit of her stomach. Why, she'd never tell, but she had an extremely good reason for feeling that way. She tried not to think about it too much, though, as she made her way into the Great Hall. She only looked straight ahead, toward the Slytherin table, and then took a seat toward the back of it.

She sat down and fixed her eyes on the table, and it was because of this she noticed the state the silverware was in. Couldn't they have at least replaced it with something a little more...well, ...new? She made a face at a nearby spoon then just sighed and looked away.

"No I don't. Go right ahead." Audrey said excitedly. "Nice to meet you Sarah. I'm a pureblood. So are you all excited as I am?" She couldn't help but squeal.

Walking back into the Great Hall, Matt stopped slightly and grinned; ah coming back to Hogwarts was definitely one of the best feelings in the world even though this was in fact his second last term at the school. That thought wasn't going to bother him too much as he finally headed over to the Slytherin table and took a seat among his housemates, many of which appeared to be new which was perfect for him since he liked to meet new people, as he looked at the table; he frowned slightly.. had there been some sort of accident that caused the silverwave just to be scattered everywhere? He started sifting through the tarnished pieces to try to find something that was a bit cleaner even though he hadn't had a problem using a fork or what have you that was slightly dirty.

The newly sorted and freshly scrubbed Harlow sat down at the Slytherin table with her dimples twinkling on her face.

Her stomach was rumbling thought she had eaten several chocolate frogs, but now she wanted some real food. She looked up as a ginger girl spoke. Well wasn't she nice, "Hi." Harlow waved and smiled at the girl. At the girl's suggestion she looked at the silverware and almost jumped up and ran for the nearest bathroom. It was still dirty! "Someone didn't do their chores," she exclaimed.

Good thing she traveled with her own silverware.

Eris had just gotten down from the sorting hat it a bit of a haze. It had scarcely touched a hair on her dark haired head when the hat roared "Slytherin!"

The small and extraordinarily boyish looking girl had the faintest pink blush across her cheeks as she made her way over to the Slytherin table with a handful of first years already at their seats.

"Hey, can I sit here?" she asked with a small smile, tucking a small lock of black hair behind her ear. "I'm Eris Ashwin by the way..." she added, though knowing full well even the name didn't help her case as much as she would like when it came to people figuring out she wasn't an eleven year old boy.

"Well well well," Tori's head turned slightly at the sound of sigh from just down the bench. She scooted downward with an evil smirk. "If it isn't Little Miss Candy Stealer from the train."

Tori's eye narrowed. "You owe me, pal."

She turned her head slightly as she saw someone sit down on her other side. "Oh, hello." She nodded about the silverware and gestured to the other tables. "I wonder if they're all dirty, or just ours?"

C'mon, Slytherin house deserved better than DIRTY silverware! What if the dishes weren't clean either?!

NO NO NO NO.

It had just been a nice, nice nap on her way to Hogwarts. Completed with some extreme socializing, that ride to Hogwarts would have been better than last year's. But no. The drama gods wouldn't allow it. She did want to show off her new badge. She did want to show off her new pet. That five hour nap easily showed how much lack of sleep she was getting. But what was sleep when one could audition for A Midsummer's Night Dream? But honestly the world did not love her enough and she would soon suffer a terrible disease. Clearly. Ohhhhh Lola Jones, a permanent resident of the Hospital Wing! How dashing! A BOLD TITLE FOR A BOLD GIRL.

Whatever now now, she was proudly wearing her Slytherin Captain badge, striding throughout the aisles of the Great Halls to find her table. Her liddle adorable snakes. How she missed them so. Ever so gracefully, she reached out an arm towards the table, sulking in the divine attention and pompously taking a seat--left leg in, right leg in, sloooooowly descending her bottom--oh! There we go.

But what was different was that the girl was holding a top silk hat, empty and nothing inside. Slowly, she decided to grab a couple of bread pieces and slowly started putting it inside. "SHHHHH! You'll blow your cover!" She hadn't yet noticed the disgusting silverware.

Selena was glad to be back at Hogwarts after a term of being away. She sat down, waiting for someone she knew or perhaps she should talk to little ickle firsties who may or may not eat her. She looked around but everyone seemed to already be engaged in conversation. Shrugging she just kicked her legs back... and forth.... and back... and forth. Maybe she'd grow a bit taller this term, she would like her feet to actually touch the ground. Selena pat her head, where a purple pygmy puff sat.

Yeah, Kent wasn't going anywhere.

She looked down at at the table, wondering when food was going to be here but all she saw was dirty plates and silverware stuff. But... whyyyy? She wanted a clean plate so she could load up on sugar later. Nooooooooooo.

Regulus made his way towards the tables, seating himself towards the middle. If anything, he would be among the others just to eavesdrop on others silly stories of their summer fun with parental units. His gray eyes flickered towards the new students, or some were new to him since this was his first year coming in as a fourth year student. For now he would sit quietly and say nothing unless spoken too first.

Gryffindor Quidditch Captain badge pinned neatly to the front of her Slytherin robes, Destiny Shepard entered the Great Hall with a grin on her face. She was excited! She still couldn't believe that Carter had so willingly given her the badge, but that was unimportant. She was the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain.

And it felt goooood.

She thought about going over there and sitting with the Gryffindor's, but, seeing as Carter would be there, she didn't want to chance it and have him take it off of her. She only had it for about fifteen minutes. It was too soon to part with it. So, making her way over to the Slytherin table, she waved, almost pageant-like to all the new and old Snakes sitting at the table already. Did they see the badge? Did they?

Oh well..

Finding an empty seat, right in the middle of the table, so everyone could see her and HER badge, Destiny glanced down at the table, not seeing food, but seeing.. dirty silverware? Whaaat?

Picking up a dirty spoon, she held it high above her head. "LOOK! They knew it was my last year here and they wanted to make me feel more at home!" They were so considerate of the upperclassmen. Lowering her hand, she pulled out her wand and began casting cleaning spells on the spoon.

If the silverware wasn't clean by the time the food did arrive, she would eat with her hands. She was Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, she could do that.

"Be my guest!" Sarah said happily. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Sarah Oliver."

"That's so cool that you're a pureblood. You mind helping me out with wizarding stuff?" Sarah asked, smiling happily. "I'm definitely excited. This is SO awesome!"

"Hi, Eris!" Sarah smiled at the girl, "I'm Sarah Oliver. Feel free to join us."

PEOPLE! Sarah absolutely LOVED new people. This was going very well by Sarah's standards.

Kimalia took her seat at the right place, her Slytherin House Table. She looked forward to seeing the newly firsties being sorted.. but she felt guilty pigging out on the candy earlier and wondered what the feast would offer her.. Assuming she would be able to find a *clean* utensil in time. But enough of that, right now her focus was on who would be a new Slytherin..

The train ride had been long and tired, but finally they were here.

Nikolas was curious to know these famous school, let's see if it was that awesome like everyone said. He made his way to the Great Hall, looked up and saw the enchanted ceiling his annoying sister had told him about. Interesting. So, yeah you could say this place was awesome. He had to see the Quidditch pitch first to fully agree.

He went to sit down with his fellow slytherin and what he saw made him frown. What was this? Dirty silverware? How come? Did the house elves started a strike? Okay so he was NOT going to eat his food on dirty dishes. He didn't want to end up in the hospital wing the first night. His stomach made a noise and yep, he was hungry. He would end up eating with his hands since there was nothing clean here.

Nikolas turned around and saw a girl pretty girl, sitting and looking at the silverware, "I wonder why all of this is dirty" he said.

Rather relieved that she had avoided the rest of that argument in the prefect's compartment, Evelyn slowly made her way into the Great Hall. Slowly, because she was starting to get irritated with the crowd and didn't particularly enjoy the whole 'your space is my space' thing going on right now.

Flinching and twitching every three seconds, Evelyn hastily made her way to the Slytherin table once it was in her line of sight, and sat down next to Destiny. Merlin, why were there so many people this year?

Heaving a sigh, the seventh year looked to her friend, seeing that she was cleaning...something. What in Merlin's beard? "What is THAT?" she asked in horror, leaning AWAY from Destiny as she pointed at the THING she was holding.

WHAT WAS THAT!?

"Sure! When I was home I read sooo many books about Hogwarts! I can't believe I'm here! I've been waiting for this since I was born!" she said excitedly.
