In one of the vacant rooms down in the castle dungeons, the furniture has been removed to give room for a small stage and a big circular dance floor. Performing during the Deathday Party is the four-man skeleton band Superior Maxillary with the lead singer Henry. The band will play songs from several centuries and also those songs which the ghosts and portraits have requested. The walls of the dungeon are decorated in a dark and deathlike theme with candles; fireflies in small cages; purple and grey velvet curtaining; and hanging decorations that look as if they were fashioned from cobwebs.

Mina wasn't even sure why she was there but she had said she would be at the party and she did want to talk to Destiny. If anyone had chocolate to cheer her up it would be Destiny. Plus, she did need someone to make her laugh and that was just what the She-Snake always managed to do.
She hadn't even wanted to venture down into the dungeons since her usual reason wasn't any longer there and with the new rules popping up, she wasn't even sure what she was supposed to do down there. It was hard enough trying to find something that would match the house coloured gloves they had to wear whilst down there.
Seriously, the things she would do for chocolate and the company of one of her friends.

The Wedding...?
She was still NOT thinking about it...Maybe when she was in private and could figure out why she was the last to know...Yea, NOT thinking about this right now.
"You're a total pro...I'm pleasantly surprised." Knowing how to dance was part of being in society. All formal occasions called for some type of dancing...Perhaps Lycaon could be tamed.

She rested back on the floor to keep the room from spinning, but it wasn't easy just laying on the floor. She wanted to rush off to the showers and the laundry rooms, but the damp cloth against her forehead from Lexi's hand was helping with the throbbing.
Harlow reached out and grabbed Lexi's hand to help her stand up. She looked around trying to remember why she had fainted. The memory slammed back into her head and she squeaked and attached herself to Lexi, "He pulled his head off," she said in a panicked voice.
Lexi smiled softly at Harlow as she came to and immediately CLUNG to her. Awwww how CUTE was she? Lexi patted her on the back in an attempt to soothe her. "Yes, he is a ghost... they do that sometimes. There is nothing to be frightened of, though. I promise." Lexi remembered the first time she had encountered one of the Hogwarts ghosts... it had been interesting to say the very least.

"Why are you yelli -? "His question got left hanging in mid air.
HARLOW HAD FAINTED.
Before he could process what had happened, Lexi was gone. And he too found himself kneeling down in the floor, next to the little first year. "Harlow!" he began but Lexi was already helping her. It was all happening too fast for his liking. VERY fast. Because the young girl was already waking up and clinging onto Lexi.
Oh.
She saw the ghost.
"Harlow, we can leave - do you want to leave?" he asked, it was only relevant thing to say. After all, this ghost things like head pulling would probably happen through out the night. And they didn't need Harlow fainting again and again.
Lexi had been greatly enjoying herself with Orlando spinning her about and dipping her. And then all of drama llamas came about. SIGHS FOR LIFE. Lexi looked up at Lando and shrugged as if to say she had NO clue what the heck was going on. Which... she didn't.
She looked between the Glaring Girl and Lando and shook her head. Riiiiight. Lexi and Lando were NOTHING but friends. If the girl only KNEW how long she and Sal had been a couple and all the details there she would know she had NOTHING to worry about. Alas, girls were stupid sometimes. And Lexi should know; she's often one of those stupid girls.
"Leave Harlow to me, Orlando. Seems you have some... stuff to sort out. Rain check on the dance, though. For sure," she said with a grin. She didn't CARE if the girl got angry -- er with her or not. She was NOT going to be different with her friend just because that dreadful girl didn't like her.

What was WITH these people and their affections for this EVIL girl? Had she got them all under a curse or something? The fifth year certainly wouldn't put it past her. In FACT, Ryden would now be looking for SIGNS of this, just to check because she was pretty sure that it was ILLEGAL. Oh, what a happy day it would be to see her carted to prison. Alcatraz, Azkaban, whatever they had here.
Oh, look. The man of the hour had decided to show. Turning as Orlando began his question, she was ABOUT to interject when he simply cut himself off and went to fuss about the fainted girl. ... WELL.
He wanted to know if Harlow wanted to leave? WELL, RYDEN COULD THINK OF ANOTHER PERSON WHO DID TOO. Not that he cared. Not that he could tell what she was feeling now. GAH. Wasn't it OBVIOUS on her face? Had he gone BLIND?!
"I'm EVER so sorry to interrupt your little dancing session with that HAG," she said to him stonily, fighting to keep her voice down in front of the Slytherin girl. After all, she hadn't done anything wrong and the poor thing had just fainted.
"How NICE of you to acknowledge my existence, even for just a second," Ryden added icily as she got up and frowned down at Orlando, the anger she'd felt drain away before coming back full force. Her hands fisted again as her eyes hardened and Ryden found that her heart was hammering inside her chest.
Not. In. Here. "Not to be a nuisance, but could I speak," she pronounced the word slowly, enunciating each letter with care, "to you outside. As your girlfriend, I DO believe you owe me that much, you horrid, vile, di-" Ryden stopped herself and took a DEEP breath.
He'd BETTER come. OR ELSE. Ryden was only reasonable and polite until she felt like she didn't want to be. And that point was coming. Fast.
Lexi pursed her lips and looked back at Ryden. Anger stirred deep inside of her and her right hand instinctively twitched. "Right. So shouting at myself and Orlando was surely sensible. Look here-- I haven't the foggiest idea as to what your problem is, but I suggest you take your attitude elsewhere. You are greatly disrespecting Sir Nicholas and the rest of his guests. Myself included." She delivered her message in a less than pleasing tone and eyed the girl with disdain. She was NOT keen on some little punk calling her out. Ever.
Lexi HAD been quite content in keeping a level head and moving on about her business until she heard the brat call her a hag.

Still patting Harlow's back she leveled a death glare at the little girl and scowled. "A hag, eh. Let me tell you something right NOW, GIRL. I have done absolutely NOTHING to warrant you calling me names and the like, but if you wish to continue I would be MORE than happy to go fetch my boyfriend... the HEAD BOY or any other authority figure in attendance. Trust me, it's the best option for YOU. If you think I am a hag now... honey you haven't seen me angry. So what will it be? You leave NOW and cool your jets or will I have to handle this some other way?"
It was NO empty threat. Lexi Kennedy didn't DO empty threats. She would like to make it past the first MONTH of school without being expelled for hexing a 5th year into oblivion, though. Truth be told, though -- she damn sure wasn't above making the little girl suffer. Heh.

Destiny had only been at the Deathday Party for about five minutes, and she had already walked into three ghosts. She couldn't help it, though, they were everywhere! And if she thought the dungeons were cold before, it was nothing compared to how it was feeling now.
Brrr.
Pulling her jacket tighter around her, just in case another ghost decided to pop out of NOWHERE and float through her, she made her way around, looking for Mina. They were supposed to meet, but Destiny might have forgotten where they were supposed to. Or maybe she just forgot to ask. Or maybe Mina just forgot to tell. Either way, she couldn't find her friend. She was just about to stand on a chair from the dining area to call out for her when she found her.
On the dance floor! Were they going to dance!? Destiny sure hoped so.
"MINA!" she called, rushing over to the girl. "Can you believe how many ghosts are here? And how many floated through me?"Brrr.

"Well they might be useful for the wedding." Rafe grinned. That's right, he was bringing her back into the conversation that he started out with. It was something that couldn't be avoided.
"I would say they are going to be a lot of single bridesmaids there, but Tala has recruited her sisters, and one's married and the other...well she's a bit...clingy." That was putting it lightly. She was actually one those that couldn't stay single long, but also couldn't stay in a relationship very long either.
Rafe was sure Jasper would want Marilyn's help and to keep his sanity. This was a moment that she would need him most. And maybe she could help him. "I think you might be able to ease Jasper's mind a bit. He's entering a bit family and I don't just mean Tala's immediate family, but the pack." He wouldn't be surprised if he got another slap. He knew this wasn't a favorite subject of hers, but surely the welfare of her brother would override those feelings. "Some of the elders are not liking the idea of him, but those with more modern point of view welcome the blending of the species." Rafe didn't really like how he worded that.
He couldn't be more happy of Tala and Jasper. Tala was more calm and grew up quickly given how young she was. Technically she was an adult of seventeen, but there was a gap between her and Jasper. That was another issue that became an issue with the elders. "I just want things to go smoothly and I think if you talked to him and gave him an idea of what he's getting into will give him some preparation. He's seen glimpses of how Tala can be and understands the dangers. But, I was hoping you could tell him that it can be okay to date...to date someone like me."

Mina turned around as she heard her name. There was her friend! She was just about to go start looking for her and she was probably going to start at the buffet table and then the shrunken head bowling. It looked fun, even if they were supposed to be bowling with shrunken heads.
"DESTINY!" she called back as the girl approached. She was really going to have to get used to all the yelling she was going to have to do down there. A part of her did wonder if the rules applied to all of the dungeon or was it just the corridors? Either way, she would just have to yell seeing that she need to hear herself over the music. "It is a death day party silly," she laughed. Ghosts were going to be there.
"Eww, you know I really hate when that happens!" Having a ghost float through you was a feeling she would never want to experience again. "I'm lucky none have flew through me yet," she added with a face. Keeping her fingers crossed it didn't happen tonight, she had a rough enough of a day.
"Wait, do you think they fly through us because they know how much we don't like it? It was a valid question, wasn't it?

"Then the next time you might see me will be in December because I just can't do this anymore." There was absolutely no point in him being at Hogwarts. He felt so disconnected at times and wasn't really getting anything out of the classes. There was Quidditch. But, was that really enough to keep him here?

Or do you want to see what else is going on around here?" He was sure he'd passed more than just food.
Rose shook her head. 'Thank you, but you have nothing to be sorry for.' she smiled up at him. She saw him search his pockets and raised an eyebrow until he brought out a tissue. 'Thank you.' Rose grinned as she wiped her eyes before putting the tissue into her robe pocket. God, I'm pathetic. Rose thought scornfully.

The laughing was a good sign, wasn't it? Ashley still sort of wondered if he should have been more comforting or something, but he still didn't know how. Really, he might have just made things worse. Besides, this was a party. A place to have fun. Not hang around and be upset all day. So he smiled as he looked back over at Rose, raising his eyebrows questioningly.
"You can dance? Like... are you really good at it?" he asked. "I don't think I can dance at all. Last time I tried, I sort of ran into..." he paused to think, trying to pull out just one of the objects, before admitting, "...everything in the room". Including the house elf. It was all very embarrassing.
Was he just imaging or did she actually seem a bit irked? Whatever the case, it was time for him to apologize to the lady for he didn't behave his best in the past few minutes. "Hey, I'm sorry. For the last couple of minutes, I've been nothing but a nuisance to you." He said in a serious tenor, putting forward his deadpan face. And yes, no smiling allowed either.
Nice. She was reciprocating. "Maybe I will." There was a glint in his eyes as he replied and a slight smirk of a smile on his expressionless face. Truth be told, he liked Daphne. She seemed like a really nice person and she was good at handling his eccentricity.
Yay for being humans! "So there are no trees around here, we're not monkeys and you think I'm a human, this legendary moment calls for a half-five!" He announced, raising his hand for a high-five. "Or a fist pump. You decide." He, for one, enjoyed high-fives.
"Oooh, let's visit the kitchen. I've never been there." He said, excitedly rubbing his hands together. To him, elves were the cutest thing ever though his father would beg to differ.
Daphne turned, a surprised look on her face when Ezra apologized. Um. Was he just joking around or was he actually being serious? Well, she hoped it was the latter. "Uh..well, that's okay.." Before any awkwardness could settle in, she continued, "I don't think you were being a nuisance..I think you're.." Daphne searched for the right word and came up with, "Amusing." That was a compliment. Yep.
o_O He was smirking again. Why did he keep doing that!? "..and I think you should come up with something that's way better than the skeleton joke.." Daphne gave a small snort. She ran a hand through her hair unconsciously which made her hair a lot messier.
"I thought we were talking about you?" Daphe asked, with an eyebrow raised. But..she suddenly burst out laughing. "I agree with you there and...I personally like high-fives more." She said, raising her hand and giving him a high-five.
"Sounds great! I've never been to the Kitchens before either." Daphne said, excitedly. She would rather visit the Kitchens than just stand there, listening to really bad music.
Thea nodded as she twirled around. 'Ah I see.. I totally get it. Stuff..'Stuff happened every time her and her brothers were home! Her own mother was under a lot of stress most of the time so it made things.. difficult. But they managed. Thea shook her head, as she twirled Phoenix around grinning. 'Na, second year. i was here last year too.'
'Yead, my dad didn't really get a look in with any of our names..' Shrugging her shoulders again, Thea raised an eyebrow. 'So do you.. live with your Nana?' she asked curiously. But she would understand if she didn't want to talk about it.. family was weird to talk about sometimes.
Phoenix twirled again then shook her head 'No, I live with my Muggle mum, we haven't had any contact with my dad's family since...since he left, they didn't really approve of the marriage anyway, that's kinda why I was named after my Nana, to try and placate them.' she said a little sadly.
Then the music changed, a slightly less despressing song started and Phoenix brightened up 'Now this is more like it.' she grinned, twirling Thea and letting out a laugh as she nearly fell over again

"You're getting upset because I don't want to talk about my brother's supposed wedding right now?" Rafe was being a little ridiculous. Did he not understand that she was upset to be finding out this way? Jasper could have wrote her a note or SOMETHING. This was big news. It wasn't everyday you learn someone you thought would never commit is committing.
Marilyn just wished she would have her the news from him. Closing her eyes, she began to speak again. "Listen, the fact that I'm ever speaking to you right now says something. I'm unable to stay upset with you..." Stupid jerk. "Don't push me, though. This is NOT about you..."

Basically consisted of bouncing up and down whilst waving your hands. Literally. 'It's the easiest thing to do!' Rose grinned.
Rose watched Ashley. She could see his brain ticking. She got a little of what he was thinking... 'I'm fine now. I only get upset sometimes.' Rose smiled.

And just like that, Ashley brightened up again, all traces of sadness gone from his eyes, leaving them clear and green. He was thinking about the dancing, and trying not to remember any more embarrassing situations in which he had tried it.
"You can do all of that, huh?" he asked, smiling, even as he was pulled around, which he didn't mind very much. Well, the bouncing looked easy. It also looked very strange, especially when other people were doing actual dances. Still, things tended to look slightly less weird when more than one person was doing them, and so he started to bounce on the balls of his feet, looking around a bit. "Did you make this one up, then? He actually wasn't all that sure what that was about, though. Maybe he'd done it wrong. Maybe he was about to step on someone. Maybe Rose suddenly wanted to play hide-and-seek.
But of course it couldn't be that. As soon as he heard the question, his eyes widened, and then shut tight, because he knew they wouldn't be green anymore. He shook his head quickly, with an immediate, "No!"
He had an explanation for this. It was well-rehearsed... or so he'd thought. At the moment, it wasn't coming to him, and all he could do was turn away. Skeleton band was playing. He should dance with Fee here since... He kinda didn't at that lesson. HE DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS THERE So nrnnow he was on a quest to find his girlfriend and spend some more time with her.
Feewas walking around as she noticed the skeleton band playing.Now that was really cool,the blonde had never seen anything like this.It was really cool that Sir Nick had decided to hold this party on her birthday.It was kinda lucka double celebration.

Well, that was unexpected. Ashley blinked back at her, not bothering with the fact that the colour had changed back to grey. He wanted to leave, but he didn't have all that many friends, and here was someone calling him so... could he really walk away from that? If he wanted to be friends, he probably couldn't.
"Do you really have to keep saying it...?" he asked, making an unpleasant face, in almost the same tone he had asked her about that other word he'd had a problem with her saying so nonchalantly the other day. He looked around again. Even if he wanted to talk about it, he didn't want to talk about it here. It didn't matter that it was highly likely that no one else in the room even knew he existed. He could feel about a million eyes on him right at this moment, and it was very uncomfortable.
The excuse he had been taught and practiced every single day finally came to mind. It's a charm. My mother thought it would make me more interesting. But did he want to say it now, and possibly be scolded for lying again?

There wasn't anything cool or good about any of the things that happened to him when he wasn't paying attention, and he was glad to have attention off of it, very grateful for the change in subject.

Rose sighed, hearing him call after her. She snuck up behind him and placed her hands on his shoulder saying 'You need to lighten up!'. Hopefully that'd scare him. 'Fine, no more tag. Macarena, Muggle song, very funny and weird to do.' Rose chuckled. 'We can... do random spells?' Rose grinned mischieviously, before pointing her wand at some food in front of a Ghost. 'Wingardium Leviosa.' she whispered and chuckled at the Ghost's face when he saw the lamb rise in front of him. She quickly took the spell off and put her wand in her pocket quickly, before looking at Ashley with a mischievious glint in her eye.
