Poking her head into the rather Halloween like dance floor that had been made, she felt rather under dressed in her school robes. The ghosts that glided along the dance floor didn't seem to mind of course, absorbed in the slow beat of their rather saddening music.

Without much warning the young witch caught herself swaying to the rythem, and occasionally giving her foot a tap.

Eh, why not? It was a party wasn't it? Plus, she had to give those dance lessons she got a good test run

Sarah hadn't initially intended to be here, but she had found the new and odd experience impossible to resist. Glancing around, it seemed esentially like a depressing Halloween party. She should liven it up.

... With the convenient help of her friend Eris, who apparently also couldn't resist the opportunity.

Sarah cautiously made her way to Eris,not wanting to run into a ghost. Eek. "Long time no see." sge said, rather untruthfully as they had seen each other only hours before.

Even though the idea itself sounded... unique, to celebrate someone's deathday, Nora found it actually cool, so she was excited to go and eventually meet Sir Nicholas. But... since the ghost was no where to be seen (ha ha, they're transparent), Nora walked straight to the dance floor, but not to dance. She'll just stay there and enjoy the rather creepy music.

She had a feeling that this was going to be one of those unforgetable parties.

Maddy walked into the room with the music, being one of the first in there, she was a little shakey about starting to dance. Oh well, when the cround comes I'll start to party She thought. This dance had a ghostly and deathlike atmosphere, and the music was a little old fashioned for her liking but she could live with it.

*blink*

This was... weird. Ellie had never been to a ghost party before. It was rather odd. It was dark, dreary and cold. Then again, they were in the dungeons. Below sea level. Ellie shuddered. She should have brought Dallin or Emma or someone to accompany her. But she had no plans and this party sounded somewhat intriguing.

She might have been wrong.

A deathday party. Stella certainly couldn't say she had ever really met Nick, or any of the Hogwarts ghosts, but the invitation that had shown up in the Ravenclaw common room had said they were all invited. Plus, she had a fascination about what exactly would have gone into a deathday party. Like, was it like a birthday party, but opposite? Either way, she'd found herself down in the dungeons, dressed fairly nicely in respect to the event in mostly black and white, and oddly not that surprised at the decor. It seemed rather appropriate, really, although she couldn't figure out if she thought it was appropriate for the dungeons or the party. She'd certainly thought there would be more green, if it was the normal dungeon decor.The Slytherin common room was down here, after all. But the bluish lighting was pleasant, and the purples and greys seemed very spooky and, well, right.

She was going to keep away from the buffet tables as long as she could, though. Even though there was edible-looking food over there, the rotting table kind of was keeping her from thinking about being hungry. Instead, she stayed near the dance floor. It seemed like the safest place, and she could even sway a little to the music being played. She just had to pretend it wasn't being played by skeletons.

Daphne entered the room and felt a little...weird. She'd never thought that she would attend a party that was thrown by ghosts. Creepy, wasn't it?

She stood near the edge of the dance floor, thinking that the music was a little too depressing. Sigh. She ran a hand through her hair and hoped to see someone familiar.

Did he hear music?

Leaving the bowling heads aside, Ezra followed the sound of the music which lead him to a room with a dance floor. His first instinct was to run far away from the dance floor but seeing that nobody was dancing, he stayed. The band then entered a new, faster number as he strolled over to the edge of the floor. The song was, of course, about death but he seemed to rather enjoy it. However, he noticed that a girl next to him didn't look very pleased. She appeared to be a bit depressed?

"Enjoying the music, are we?" He asked with a smile. This was another sample of his failed attempts at flirting. He should just throw in the towel already. "Hey, here's a joke." He said a little too excitedly, "Who won the skeleton beauty contest? " Shutttt uppp! Too late. Ugh. He chose such a lame joke!

Okay. This was a bad idea. Like, a really bad idea. What was she thinking? The music was terrible, there was no one to talk to..yeah, didn't it sound like a really boring party? Bleh.

Daphne was just about to walk away when a guy asked whether she was enjoying the music. Was he actually being serious? Did she look like she was enjoying the music? "Um. Not really. I assume you are.." Uh. What!? Skeleton beauty contest? NO. Was that actually a joke? Eeek. Daphne raised an eyebrow. "You?" That's what he was going to get for such lame jokes.

There you go. She surely thought of him as some freak and if she didn't, the joke was sufficient to make her think that way. "Oh, I love death music. Death music rocks." He replied with a head hung low and he stuck his tongue out in an attempt to imitate a dead person before cracking up at his own stupidity. "Naaah kidding, I'm not fond of it but I do have time to...kill so why not." Hee-hee. This girl was bring out the joker in him.

"Me?" He asked, a slight raise in his eyebrow as he glanced down at himself, "What gave it away?" He batted his eyelashes at her and shook his head. "It must've been my crown of bones." He nodded, cracking up once again.

Did some slip something in his drink or what?

Daichi had been wandering through the dungeons. NOT that was lost, he just simply couldn't find his common room...yeah he was lost. Even if it was his second year he still had the tendencies to get lost inside the castle. Hearing music? and voice coming from a nearby room, Daichi decided to check it out and walked with slow steps towards the door.

Opening it, his eyes were greeted by...ghosts..ghosts..and...live people. What was going on? Was there a meeting he didn't know about? He knew he should look at the Slytherin notice board more often! Still looking around, he saw a small stage on which a group of skeletons were playing music, if you want to call it music anyways and what seemed like a dance floor was right in front of it. Seriously, what had he missed?! He wanted to move towards the walls but seeing them decorated in dark and creepy lights he decided not to. NOT that he was a little scared, nuhuh! He just ...prefered the light...yeah...

Seeing a girl standing at the dance floor, swaying on the music(?) he decided to ask her what was going on. Tapping her shoulder, Daichi blushed slightly as he had to look up a bit. "U-uhm..e-excuse me..what's going o-on?" He asked shyly and scratched the back of his head, looking confused.

Jory stood at the edge of the dance floor watching the handful of students swaying to the music. He had never heard these songs. Then again, he had never gotten around to listening much old wizarding songs.
Jory did not wish to dance; he would certainly embarrass himself. He wondered if he should take those dancing classes. Knowing how to dance properly might certainly come in handy at some time.

Daphne stared at him. As it is, she was having a bad time at the party and this guy..was being a more than a little silly. She looked at him with an amused expression on her face. "Do you laugh at your own jokes? 'Cause you know, that's just normal." NOT. The girl ran a hand through her hair again and looked at her surroundings. She'd never been to a more boring party in her life. Not that she been to many parties but still. Boring. Aw, jeez. "Dude, that's just..." Honestly, she didn't have any words in her vocabulary to describe how really lame that joke was..but it did bring a small smile to her face. Weird.

Arrrgghhh. Daphne rolled her eyes. "See? I thought so.." She gave a small smirk. There he was. Laughing at his own joke. Again. The girl just shook her head and extended her hand. "I'm Daphne Green."

Geraldine was already a bit bored, so she went to the slytherin common room and looked at the notice board for some activities to, maybe do. Then she saw a parchment that had Headless Nick's name on it, then it said something about his deathday celebration. As Geraldine was on her way to the venue,Geraldine silently chuckled at the term used for headless nick's death anniversay..haha, deathday, like birth-days instead its about death, Geraldine chuckled again a little louder this time, her weird thoughts were stopped by the sound of music passing through her ears, i must be near, Geraldine thought. When she arrived by the door to the party, she took a peek first before going in. When she was inside the room, she noticed that there werent a lot of people inside yet, so she stood by the corner and listened to the unfamiliar music playing, some of then she barely recognized maybe she heard it when she was really young,she wasnt sure anyway.

Geraldine just watched and listened to the band and maybe look around the dance floor. Geraldine wasnt good at dancing(well,she hasnt even tried dancing before) that's why she was hesitant on joining the dance class. HEh, anyway the important thing now is to be happy(?or is it sad? with all these death thing anyway) and enjoy headless nick's deathday(haha,still funny).

Thea had only just remembered the deathday party. She had been looking forward to it, and headed straight to the dance floor. Not bothering with a partner, she stepped onto the dance floor and began to dance on her own. Hehe. She was having fun!
Smiling to herself, her skirt flew out as she spun around the dancefloor. Thea wasn't exactly sure if she was meant to be having fun at a DEATHday party.. but whatever.

The music wasn't familiar to her, but it was still alright to dance too! Bouncing to the edge, the Gryffindor carried on dancing but at the edge. She smiled at the other people in the room as they wandered by. Hm.. what now?

Did he laugh at his own jokes? Of course, he did. Who doesn't, right? "Yes, I laugh only at my jokes. What's the harm in that?" No harm at all, except that people will consider him mentally retarded?

His jokes were lame, only sounded funny in his head and might come across as annoying to some, but it did make the pretty lady smile. "Do I see a smile?" He questioned, giving her a small smirk, "If yes, then I think that the joke is a keeper." He added, running his fingers through his neatly styled hair.

The hint of exasperation on her face was his cue to stop with the jokes and focus on being 'normal' again. He shook her hand gently and smiled, "Nice to meet you Daphne. Call me Ezra." He introduced, mentally cringing at the sound of his name. Ezra? What were his parents thinking? "Sooo, do you eat?" Blink.

Oh. Did she just offend the guy? "Nothing. Nothing, really. I didn't mean to be rude at all.." Daphne said, slightly flustered. She really didn't mean to be mean. She was a little sarcastic, yes..but definitely not rude.

Daphne smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Are you trying to flirt with me?" She noticed that people had started to enter the dance floor. Bleh. She'd come here to dance but the music was so creepy..eek. The girl pushed a strand of hair back from her face before she turned towards him again.

"Nice to meet you too, Ezra." Daphne said, with a smile. "Ezra..that's a pre-..I mean, a lovely name." Guys don't like to be told that their names were 'pretty' now, do they? Sigh. "What does it mean?"

Blink. "Eat? Of course, I eat! Do I look like a skeleton to you?" Jeez. Just when she thought that Ezra might actually be sane.

Oh sheesh. She wasn't rude AT ALL. "I'm way too thick skinned to be offended." He replied with a soft chuckle. But challenge his masculinity, and he'd be offended in a jiffy.

At her question, a mischievous grin broke out across his lips. "Nuh-uh, I'm flirting with myself, but I like having an audience. Anyway..." He teased, passing her a quick wink before thanking her. "It means helper. Blah, isn't it? With a name like this, one is bound to assume it to have a momentous meaning." But sadly, he was just a helper.

Oh great, she eats! "Wanna climb a tree and pick apples to eat?" He was only kidding because if he's not wrong, there were no apples trees in Hogwarts and he couldn't climb a tree to save his life.

His last term just kept getting better, it seemed. A deathday party? Orlando couldn't have been more pleased with the idea.

NOW to look for people he knew and have a blast. Or whatever it is that you have .. at a deathday party! It was gooey .. icky but it seemed to be going on a full swing. Hearing the band .. he wandered if someone would like to dance a little stupidly with him ..

Too much waltz in dance class .. he needed to dance stupid now.

Phoenix stood on the edge of the dancefloor watching the older Gryffindor student as he seemed to be setting himself up to dance, she giggled a little, wondering if she should go over and introduce herself, but then he probably wouldn't want to talk to a second year...

Finally spotting somebody, Thea bopped on over. 'Hi!' She smiled, still jiggling about. 'Nice party, huh?' Thea winked at the girl. 'I'm Thea-Aurora.' Holding out her hand she added, ''Nice too meet you!' Hm.. was it nice to meet her? It WAS a deathday party, so was it nice too meet somebody at a deathday party? Who knew.. Thea didn't.

Looking down at her shoes, Thea chewed her lip. Maybe she had gone a bit over board on the friendly attitued.. she wasn't used to it.

Aww. He hadn't even started dancing stupid, yet .. and Orlando was being giggled at. How sad.

Nonethless, his search was still on. Maybe Ryden would come. RYDEN SHOULD COME. How he wished sometimes, they were in the same common room. He would have dragged her here. Just like he wanted to drag Lexi here .. but she was missing. It was so hard to find Lexi in the common room.

Phoenix jumped as someone bounced up beside her and introduced themselves, she turned and grinned at the girl of about her age who had appeared out of nowhere
'Hi, I'm Phoenix.' she said, accepting the proffered hand and shaking it 'It's nice to meet you too, what do you think of the party so far, bit dead don't you think?' Phoenix knew she probably shouldn't be making jokes about death and all that but the girl beside had suddenly gone quiet and looked slightly nervous so she thought she would try and lighten the mood.

Music brought Lexi around like a moth to a flame. HEHEHE. She came flitting out onto the dancefloor and stopped right in front of Orlando. "Hey! Are you ready to dance with someone that REALLY knows how to dance?" she asked with a snortle. Yes, she DID know how to boogie. She chose to stay FAR away from those dance lessons, though. Her shoes were precious things that need not be stepped on by clumsy boy people. HMPH.
