A owl flew into the window.It was attached to daisy his mother owl.

Harvey came in only to see his mother's owl sitting there with a letter attached. He took off the letter and read it. He smiled and shook his head. He quickly got out a piece of parchment and quill and wrote a reply.

"Here take this reply to mom ok?" Harvey said attaching the letter to Daisy. The owl then flew off with the letter.

Daisy flew back with another letter.

Harvey had stayed there to play with his owl. When he saw Daisy come back. He took off the letter and read it. He then got out another piece of parchement and wrote another reply.

Harvey attached it to Daisy's leg and she took off knowing where to go. He and Frost (Harvey's owl) went to the window and watched as she flew out of sight.

"There goes Daisy, back to Mom's. Well Frost its going to be a crowded summer this year. So many friends I have made here, I dont know what my life would have been without Hogwarts. Probably something completely different." he smiled as he stroked his owl.

Ryan walked up the stairs of the Owlery with a letter in his hands.It said:
He finished the letter and tied it to his owls leg.He watched it fly away.

Annabeth ran up to the owlery, she looked for Percy, and held out some food, he swooped down, "Hey Perce, how are you?" she asked, hoot! he replied, she laughed, "Ok then, I need you to take this to Mr and Mrs Chase, don't leave without a reply," she told him, before reading the letter again,

she tied it to his leg and watched him fly away.


She stayed up there for about 10 minuets, drawing the owls, when she heard a hoot, she turmed and saw Percy again! "That was really quick, what did they say?" she asked, quickly, untieing it she read,



Annabeth dropped the letter and wanted to scream, Harvey seemed so happy that she was going to stay with him, how would she explain it to him. She turned and began to leave, but turned to pick up the letter and ran to find Harvey somewhere.

MJ tied her letter to a school owl's leg and sent him off to her mother. Avis wasn't anywhere to be found, so either he was out hunting or they were both looking for each other and missing each other. That tended to happen a lot. MJ never had to worry about Avis taking mail for someone else, since he would just keep coming back until they got bored and chose another owl. MJ had never heard of someone "stealing" an owl though. There were so many school owls, it was pointless and completely unnecessary.

Looking down at the metal egg in her hands, MJ sighed wearily. Curiosity was very nearly killing the hippogriff, but the little Ravenclaw was also worn out. MJ was utterly convinced that she'd got the most demanding, most diva-boy egg in the box. As she looked at him now, Bugsy was preening and twirling around, showing off his latest wardrobe ensemble. MJ had used her Transfiguration spells on him again, so he was white gold with bronze hearts. Her spells only ever worked for an hour or two though; mostly because she was still only a First Year, she supposed.

Hopping impatiently on the palm of her hand, Bugsy brought MJ's attention back to her Charms assignment. She rolled her eyes, and cast "Excolo!" as she wandered out of the Owlery and down the stairs.

Letter in hand Kennedy made his way to the Owlery. He was finally writing back to his mom. He knew he should have done it much earlier, but she had made him a tiny bit angry, so he waited...and waited. Oh gosh, she was going to be SO mad. He could already hear her voice scolding him.

Oh well.

He set the rolled parchment on the table and looked up for a free school owl. Just as he was going to call one of them down, when he felt something begin to shake in his pocket and grow warm. This time he wasn't surprised as to what it could be.

The egg.

He took it out and switched it from hand to hand. It was a bit too warm than before. What if the creature inside it was a fire creature? He snapped out of his thoughts when the egg began shaking out of control.

"Wow!" Kennedy said, securing the egg in his hands. He didn't want it to be a scrambled egg on the ground.

He took out his wand a pointed it at it. "Argentum Frigidus!" he said. The egg cooled down, but the shaking kept going. Was it trying to say something? Like communicate with him?

Whatever it was, Kennedy was going to have to walk around with a shaking egg in his pocket.

Aurora climbed the stairs up to the owlery, parchment in hand. She was scowling ever-so-slightly. So... Julianne was pregnant. Wonderful. Now she'd never go away. She kind of felt sorry for poor Rufin - she couldn't imagine him ever wanting children... He loved kids, yeah, but he spent so much time away with work or in the greenhouses that any extra responsibility would probably kill him. Pfft. I bet this is her way of making him stay with her. she thought, her brow furrowing all the more. Still, she had to be nice about it - for Rufin. She loved him a lot and if he was happy then... then she guessed it was alright.

She still didn't like Julianne.

Sage wasn't back yet... probably still in France with Tiff - she always spoiled him - so she selected a school owl, called it down and tied her congratulative letter to its leg. Then she tossed him an owl treat and took him to the window, told him where to go and held her arm out. "See you later, have a nice flight." she said as he flew off. She watched the owl shrink to a little speck in the sky then turned and stormed back down all the stairs to the dormitory.

Maddy had been neglecting writing letters to her parrents, she haden't even checked to see if Jinx was back! She walked up to the owlery and looked for her owl, Jinx was right there in her usual place. "Hey" said Maddy and gave her an owl treat "take this to mom and dad", she instructed. Maddy tied a letter to Jinx's foot and sent her off.

Lilly ran up to the owlery, panting. She flicked back her hair, and pulled an owl treat from her pocket. She gave it to a snowy owl, telling him to take it to Rupert Weasley, in London. Lilly had written her new guardian a letter:

She tied it to the owls tiny leg, petting it's feathery head. She wanted an owl, but she had a kitten already, Pearl. They were really sweet. And useful.

It was the first time Louisa was going to follow someone's advice without paying attention to her nagging heart. The girl held a letter in one hand, seemingly empty but there were invisible words that should reveal themselves once a certain name is uttered.

Isaac Carter.



The girl glanced around for an owl, strangely most of the owls flew away somewhere. Shaking her head, she petted a sleeping one, tied the letter on her leg and threw her away. "To Isaac Carter!" She called after it.

There! She sent a letter back, now Joao would be proud of her. As for the other regular letter, it was to Marina.



She tied the letter to the leg of another brownish owl's leg and sent her away. "Marina Stewart," murmuring to the bird before it flew away. Turning away, Louisa's jaw dropped open at the scene before her. Dalouisa, her metal egg, was surrounded by a bunch of owls hooting and pecking it. It was in its basket and barely seen from between the birds. "Great. Just great. Shoo! Shoo you guys!" Louisa started waving with her hands and nudging the birds with her foot. Some flew away quickly, hooting, others pulled the girl's hair on their way up to their nests. "Eew!" She wrapped her arms around her head and waited for the whoosh to be over.

Quickly, she grabbed the basket, shot nasty looks at the owls and down AWAY from this place. Then she'd use 'Excolo' to polish the poor egg.

Lilly went back up to the owlery. She'd written a letter to Holli too. Rupert would reply soon. Probably. She chose an other owl attaching the letter to his leg.

Lilly told the owl to take it to Holli Lewis, and it flew off.

Tori huffed and she puffed and she pushed the door to the Owlery open at last. Harry the Hatchling bounced in her pocket and she could tell, from the tiny quivering vibrations he was sending up her leg, that he was nervous around all these owls.

"Shh, Harry," Tori scolded, taking the egg out of her pocket for a good talking to, "they aren't going to try sitting and roosting on you, you goofy egg. I mean it's OBVIOUS that you're made of metal, all right?"

She rolled her eyes and carefully set him on the window ledge, which only made him more nervous of course. But she couldn't hold the egg and write a letter home at the same time! Tori just rolled her eyes and got to work on her letter home, which was surprisingly only the second she had written all year. Heh. Whoops.

Tori beamed at the letter when she was done and quickly stuffed it into her envelope. She was jussssst starting to seal it up when she realized that the envelope felt unusually heavy. Hmm. And where was Harry?

Tori glanced around the room and gasped. "HARRY!" she called out nervously, glancing out the window. "HAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRY!!!!!!!!!!" Had he accidentally rolled out?! Oh no, even a metal egg wouldn't survive THAT fall!

The redhead nervously bit her lip, wondering where he had really gotten to, when she noticed that her envelope was quivering. Oh. OH! That's when she saw the egg-shaped outline inside. "Oh Harry," she laughed in relief, "I can't mail you to my dad! You've got to hatch in a few days, silly!"

She opened the envelope and gave Harry a kiss, so relieved was she to see him all shiny and fine. She carefully tucked him back into her pocket and resealed the envelope, picking out a random owl to attach it too. Tori watched the owl soar out the window and patted her pocket, heading back downstairs with Harry safely inside.

He was excited. Those three words described the mood Kennedy Escalante was in. He was writing the last letter to his mom announcing his arrival back home. He had written it so fast that he hoped his mom would be able to understand his hand writing. He really hoped that his mom had forgotten about him being grounded because really, he didn't want to spend his summer washing dishes.

He rolled the parchment and tied it with a green ribbon, but faltered when something at his thigh began jumping and shaking out of control. Kennedy placed a hand on it and tried to hold it still. He didn't want Hilbert to jump out of his pocket and have a hard landing. He took the egg out of his pocket and held it securely in his hands. What was up with it. It was almost like if it was excited. Was it happy to be at the Owlery?

Maybe... Maybe it was a metallic owl growing inside the egg? Nah, that's too crazy of a thought.

He was snapped out of his thoughts when he noticed the egg was cold. He cocked his head to the side. The day was pretty warm, so why was it cold? It was probably its temperature just going down. He withdrew his wand and directed it at Hilbert. "Argentum Calidus," he said. The egg's temperature returned back to normal, but it still kept fidgeting in Kennedy's hands.

Dang it, Hilbert.
