Minerva came across the school owls. She stopped to send a letter home. She had to tell her mother that she now was a Hufflepuff and that we has been meeting the nicest people.A quick letter and Minerva was off to find her place at Hogwarts.

Elliot sauntered into the owlery and saw only one other person. She had brought a quill to finish the rather personal letter; there were too many people in her dorm for her to feel comfortable. She quickly scribbled the rest of the message(she had been writing it in her head all through the night) and attached the letter with a sigh to a beautiful black owl. She rather liked him, and she decided to use him for every letter this year. Uh huh. She watched him fly off, and she simply sighed again, afraid of the reply she would get...

Entering the Owlery after the entirely too long of a walk from the first floor, Eris scoped her surroundings with the a spark of amazment. What once was most likely a rather large room, was now cluttered with wooden poles and bronze rods crossing over each other or stacked up with only a two foot interval between each one placed, creeping their way up the walls and into the non-viewable sky-scraping ceiling. When trying to look up into the dark dome, it was blocked by a reverse sea of endless owls, hooting, flying, sleeping, and scratching, itching for something to be able to do but seemingly too bothered to fly at the moment and stretch out their wings.

Of course, she had come to send a letter that two other children had beat her too. The two pieces of parchment finely rolled, tied and gripped in her hand, the young witch turned side to side at all the owls.

"Excuse me....?" she asked the girl who had just sent off an owl herself. "Which owl do we use?" She sure didn't want to take someone else's owl, and Eris had opted to bring a kneazle to the school.

Er. Elliot simply stared at the girl. Hmph. Her icy eyes wondered around the owlery...
"I think we can just use whichever we like..that's what I did," she replied, looking again at the girl. If that was a girl...? She looked rather like a boy...but her voice was...feminine. Elliot turned her head to side, curiously, examining her carefully.

She blinked a few more times, her eyes boring into the other person's. Elliot was feeling very cold today. Meh.

"If you take someone else's owl, I don't think it matters. Plus, the owls will probably refuse to send a letter for some random person. These creatures are pretty intelligent," she commented, raising her eyebrow a bit. Elliot never did introductions first. If they wanted to know her, they had to introduce themselves first. She then noticed the colors of the girl(she decided the person was a girl) and gave a slight shiver. "Y-you're in Slytherin?" Ah. Elliot narrowed her eyebrows and frowned. Lucky snake.

"Eh? Any owl?" Eris restated a bit rhetorically. If it was long distance than what would happen if the kid who owned it came moments later to mail a letter but it was gone? then again, she kept her lovely little Kneezle with her in the dorm room, so maybe the other student did that with their owls.

The girl's eyes looked a tad icy as they examined Eris, a first for the young witch since she had entered the castle, but the other first year seemed to be a decent person. Opting to listen to her advice, Eris made her way over to an anxious looking owl who strutted up and down a poll as though it was aching to spread it's wings. Taking the pre-tied letter, she wrapped it around the foot of the owl murmuring for it to take the letter to London though the address was already on the letter. As she tied it though, she heard the girl speak about her house.

How did she...? Oh wait...the tie.

"Mmm, yes...and I see your in Ravenclaw..." Eris gave a warm smile. "My dad wanted me to be in that house...says it is for the brilliant." Which made the tomboyish witch all the more curious as to how he would react when he read her letter declaring her new-found home in Slytherin, though she was sure he wouldn't mind too much.

Stretching out her arm, the owl flew out the window to deliver the message into the evening air.

"Yes...I am fairly sure," she repeated, raising her thin eyebrow for emphasis. Elliot disliked repeating herself. She watched the girl send her letter off, her face curiously tilted to the side.

She listened...they were in opposite families! Weird! And Ravenclaws...brilliant? That made Elliot feel a bit better, seeing as she was a brilliant person. Mostly. Usually.

"My father wanted me to be a Slytherin. His whole family has been snakes for ages.," she replied, rolling her eyes. "Ironic, eh?" she added, seeing as the other girl's father wanted her to be in Ravenclaw, and Elliot's wanted her to be a snake! "He's going to be furious...wish he felt like your dad."

Elliot disliked this talk of houses...she was feeling rather ill. The other girl seemed nice enough, much nicer than Elliot.

Kelsey walked in. She wanted to send a letter home to tell her family that she`s in slytherin and she already made two friends! She tied the note on sylvie`s leg"On you go, Sylvie!"Sylvie flew away. Kelsey ran back to the common room.

Skye walked in hoping to catch Dizzy to send a letter home to her dad and her sister jazz. "DIZZY!" skye shouted, a few moments later a snowy owl flew down from the roof. skye quickly tied the letter onto dizzys leg and he took of into the night. the note read.....

Eris' warm eyes traced the icy ones, she couldn't help feeling a bit of sympathy for the other first year. Which was a relatively new kind of feeling to the fun-first girl, brushing it off as just understanding. Then again, Eris knew next to nothing about Slytherin...and all Eris knew was about Ravencalw really.

"All I learned really is that Slytherins are cunning...and they say pureblood...but not all of use are that way." Eris was indeed a pureblood, but there were even some muggleborn Slytherins within the common room walls.

She didn't know the girl's family, that was for sure, but it was hard to see a father not being proud of his daughter. "It would probably be expected for you to be in Slytherin..." Eris began thoughtfully, trying to think through her response, but lacking attention to her word choice, "So you probably have the heart and air of a Slytherin like your family, but are on a higher bar of wit and intelligence."

Really, Eris had heard to even get into the Ravenclaw commonroom you had to answer a riddle. "If anything he should be congratulating you" Eris added decisivly with a grin, "I'm Eris by the way, Eris Ashwin."

Elliot nodded. "I'm cunning...and pureblood. One of the oldest pureblood families in our world...still, I was placed here," she replied with her scowl. And yes, obviously it was expected for her to be in Slytherin! Elliot didn't let her impatience show, however. But what she was saying was making sense...she did have that snake heart, but she couldn't but notice that perhaps she was a better thinker than anyone in her family. She managed a small grin at the girl.

"You're actually making me feel better...who would have thought?" She chuckled, for the first time today. Ah, introductions. Elliot's favorite part of conversations. Always.

"Well, Eris Ashwin, I am Elliot. Elliot Morganzo," she held out her hand, her eyes flashing with pride. Elliot loved her name...probably more than her little sister, Danni. Heh.

Maddy entered the owlery, which was a uiet enough place to write her letters to her family. She sat down at the table and began to write to her mother first.

"Dear Mom
I got into Slytherin, that house dad and I were telling you about. Ive made some aquaintences, friends soon to be. And my classes start tomorrow!

PS.

I hope you like my owl! Her name is jinx"

Maddy wrote a simmiliar letter to her dad, and then tied them both to jinx's foot. Then she sent jinx off, after giving her an owl treat. A good way to train your new owl to do what you want it to.

Desiree was feeling extremely proud of herself she didn't get lost at all on the way here, a new record, walking into the owlery she gasped slightly at all the owls lining the walls. How was she going to find Lila..?

Just then her beautiful barn owl swooped down and landed on her arm. "There you are" she said smiling at her owl. She attached the letter for her parents carefully to Lila's foot. It basically explained how she had been sorted into Slytherin, that everything was going well, and that she would write more soon. There was also a similar letter for her sister. She gave Lila a treat and sent her on her way.

Desiree watched her fly away over the grounds, admiring the amazing view. Desiree could definitely get used to this place. Maybe she'd even ask her parents if she could stay here for the holidays.

Sarah walked into the owlrey, her Spotted Owl, Pallino, perched on her shoulder. She wasn't too sure if she was technically allowed to keep her owl in her dorm, but, eh, oh well. She had tried earlier to get Pallino to stay in the owlrey, but she had refused. Crazy owl.

"Do you mind taking this home?" Sarah asked her owl.

As she had been sitting in the common room, Sarah had realized that her parents would be dying to know how she was doing. So she had taken the opportunity to test out her new purple ink.

Basically, the letter said that she had been sorted into Slytherin, that she met a lot of people and had already met some friends, and that she would write in more detail tomorrow or the next day.

"Give my brother a peck on the head!" Sarah called out to her departing owl.

Then she turned and exited the owlrey.

After greeting her owl, Raven grabbed her quill, parchment, and ink, and sat down on the floor. There was some owl droppings but Raven picked a clean spot to write.
"Dear Mom and Dad,
I have arrived at Hogwarts, and I have been sorted into Hufflepuff! I haven't made very many friends yet, which is quite upsetting, but I have seven years to make friends, so I'm not in that much of a hurry. Anna has arrived too, though I didn't see her on the train. I really miss her. I hope that you guys and her parents will share a common bond of having children and Hogwarts and that you will write to them also. I know this is a big choice, but will you consider moving to London? I'm sure you can get jobs there too. I know it's kind of a big deal to drive on the wrong side of the road, and be more proper and stuff, but I would really like to be able to not have to travel so far during the summer. Also, for christmas break, I would like to stay in Diagon Alley. I think Anna will be there too, and I'm sure that my other friends will also be staying there. Just think about it and let me know what you think. I hope that it doesn't take Addison too long to get to you and that she will come back soon. I love you both so much and I can't wait to see you again. When Addison comes back I'll let her rest for several weeks and then I'll send another owl.

Raven folded the parchment and enclosed it in an envelope. There was no wax seal, but she had some tape in her purse. She taped up the envelope and attatched it to the ring on Addison's leg. "Now, have a good trip, I expect to see you sooner rather than later. I love you, little bit."
Raven was tearing up. This was the first voyage her owl would have to make and it was all the way to America. Raven was slightly concerned but she believed that Addison would be fine. This was Addison's job after all. Raven tearfully waved goodbye as Addison flew out of the owlry and towards her parents home.

Selena took out her wand and cleaned a place on the floor before sitting down with Kent in her lap. She had a notebook and an envelope and a quill with ink. She sighed and thought about what to write. Finally, remembering she dipped the feather into the ink well and started to write.



Selena tore the page out of her notebook and was ready to seal it in an envelope when the page flew away. Eep. Nooo. She didn't wanna write it all over again!! Selena flailed and tried to reach for it. Why did it have to fly up? Did the paper not know that she was short?!

Raven reached the owlery with her new eagle-owl, Bubo and a letter to her mom. But she took a parchment, quill and inkwell to write a letter to Adler, her big brother.


Dear Adler.

Hopefully you gonna be right in London. Hey, I was sorted into Slytherin! I found some happiness here. But when the feast happened, There was an incident. Professor Lafay was mad because a third-year student threw bubble gum to another student and we lost 12 points! At the start term feast! Sounds bad.

I found so many friends here. There are Lana, Geraldine, Desiree, Chelsea, a fifth-year student Selena (I'm not sure she was friendly) Sarah, etc. But I also met an arrogant first Year named Violet Snape. Maybe she related to professor Snape? I don't know.

Take care in London, I'm looking forward for your reply. Bye!

"Take care, Bubo!"

Jade walked into the owlery to send a note to her parents. Mostly to her mother though, seeming as her and her father didn't get quite along that well. As she strutted her way over to an owl, she noticed a girl sitting on the floor reaching for a piece of parchment that seemed to flying away. She usually didn't help people but eh, might as well make some friends here. She quickly walked over and reached up to it, catching it in her hands. Luckily, she was taller and not so short as she seemed to be when she was younger.

The brunette was about to give it to the girl, but she knew a quick skim of the letter wouldn't hurt. It's not like it would matter anyways. Hmm, so something about a TallPerson, a piggyback ride, some mean person, and a...NIKOLAS? She quickly looked away and handed the girl back her letter. "Nikolas Agger. You know Nikolas Agger?" She asked, her eyebrow raised. She didn't even know Nikolas knew girls, this was just horrible.

Selena took the letter back gratefully and stuffed it in the envelope. "Thanks," she chirped. Selena picked up her quill and wrote "TallPerson" on the envelope. She nodded while she wrote and then looked at the taller girl in confusion. "Who's Agger?" Selena asked. She didn't know an Agger... she knew anger... and she also knew a Nikolas, but she didn't know an Agger. "Is he a nice person?" she asked, sealing the envelope. On the envelope she drew a pygmy puff.

"Alrighties, Hollie, send this to TallPerson, and peck at him till he sends me Keith and candy," Selena told the snowy white owl before she looked back at the girl, waiting for an answer.

Then Sel thought of another brilliant question. "And does an Agger have four legs?" she asked. It sounded like an Agger was some sort of rodent. Perhaps the girl was talking about a ferret?

Jade didn't even know what to say at all to the girl right now, for her questions were way off of who Nikolas was. Er...what?

"Nikolas Agger. You mentioned a 'Nikolas' in your letter." She said, crossing her arms as she patiently waited for an answer. Maybe this girl didn't know who he was. Then again there probably was a lot of Nikolas' in this school that she didn't know about. She guessed it was a bit of a popular name, but his last name certainly wasn't. So maybe this girl didn't know his last name then.

Wait, four legs? Ugh, this girl was so weird. "No, this is a boy who has only two legs and he has a bit of a stubborn, teasing attitude. So, do you know him?" She asked, once again. Hopefully her little 'facts' about him would help this girl find in that little brain of hers who she was talking about.

Selena was confused by this girl. "I know a Nikolas, but I just call him meanie Nik," she said simply witha shrug of her shoulders beforerealizing something. "You read my letter!" Selena exclaimed frowning. That was just rude. Plus, it probably broke some rules about privacy.

She shook her head. Okay, so obviously the girl was not talking about an animal. "I only know a mean Nikolas and he thinks he's awesomer than me. I told him he was, but really, in my mind I was thinking that he wasn't. One day, meanie Nik will be in my prison on Mars," Selena reported. Perhaps that was enough for this odd, odd girl?

Meanie Nik? Who is this guy then? Hmm, she probably was thinking of a different Nikolas. Then the weird girl finally realized that she had read her letter. "I didn't read it, I skimmed. Wouldn't you do the same thing?" She asked, seeing the Slytherin badge thing on her robes. This weird girl didn't seem like she belonged in Slytherin, for she didn't seem mean enough.

This girl was confusing Jade so much that she was speechless for a second. What was this girl even talking about? "You have a prison on Mars?" She asked, her eyebrow raised. She doubted it. "Well if we're talking about the same Nikolas, you should go find out his last name for me." She nodded. Yes, this weird girl should do that.

"By the way, I'm Jade Skidmoore. Fifth year, Gryffindor. But you can call me, Skids." The brunette nodded. The only person who could call her Jade was Nikolas and nobody else.

After breakfast, Beverly immediately went to the owlery to send a letter home. When she entered the place a female snowy owl greet her. It's her own owl Emily. She tied the letter on it's leg...
The letter contains a word on how she's doing and that the experience at the school was so far fascinating, also she wrote that she need some additional books so she can study them now...

Selena picked up the pygmy puff that was scampering... rolling... scuttling... moving away and placed the purple fluff back on her lap. Kent needed to learn how to behave. She played with the ball of fluff, while the girl spoke. Mostly because the girl had been rude and read her letter. "Yeah, but skimmed milk is still milk isn't it? So skimming a letter is really the same thing as reading it!" Selena huffed as she placed Kent on her head. "And if I diiiiiiiiid, which I didn't say I did, I would just take the letter and never give it back, that way, they don't have proof against me," Selena said simply with a smirk. No physical evidence, no proof.

"I will, once I take over the universe with my best friend," Selena said, beaming before she stopped. Because this girl had invaded her privacy and Sel wasn't going to talk to her. Because it wasn't right. "I don't wanna go get his last name, you go get it," Selena said, rolling her eyes. Why should she do all the work? Selena didn't want to know Meanie Nik's last name. Rude Girl did. So it only made sense that Rude Girl get the last name.

Selena now knew Rude Girl's name. Maybe she shouldn't address as such then. "I'm Selena Zabini-Riddle, I'm amazingly awesome and I am going to take over the universe."

Wait. The girl said she could call her Skids... if she wanted to. Okay then. "I think I'll stick to Jadeeeeee," Selena decided with a big toothy smile, just as Kent rolled off her head.

Emily stormed through the owlery, slipping several times on the way. Owls took off at the sound of her rampaging through the tower. At last, she saw one that looked big enough to support the essay she was sending her brother.

"Here you go," she said to the owl, tying the parchment to its leg a bit rougly, so it screeched and flapped its wings in protest, "Fly, owly, FLY!"

The owl immediately flew out of her reach, scowled at her, and took off. She watched it fly away until it was a tiny dot. After a while, it disappeared over the mountains.
