She laughed still feeling completely stupid. I can't believe I had been so worried for the past few days...over nothing! well at least she got that cleared up...one less worry.
She smiled "I love you too" and kissed him.

She walked over to the other side of the room to face him. Pointing her wand straight at him she held it still. In a matter of seconds her wand went flying out of her hand and she was knocked backwards a little "That was great!" she told him smiling. Seems like defensive spells would come easy to him too...a good thing.

"Lets try it when your a bit more...unprepared" she told him. She aimed her wand at him and waited a few seconds so he wouldn't know exactly when she would cast her spell. She began to say the spell. Now could he disarm her in time before she could complete her spell?

"Unpre-what?" he was startled, what did he have to do?
Within moments she was pointing her wand at him saying an incantatum.
Something came towards him, he was too late to disarm her, instead he used one of his favourite charms.

Protego!

The spell Chelsea had used on him bounced off his shield and hit the floor.
That's not supposed to happen.

Hearing he used the shielding charm she was glad he knew what to do. Until something kind of went wrong her Stupefy spell bounced off his shield and hit the floor...what just happened

"That was odd I wonder why it hit the floor when it was supposed to come back at me" was something wrong with his wand? couldn't be since he disarmed her perfectly before this.

The spell hit her shield and went straight back at Scott. Hopefully he was alright.

She heard something at the window she turned and saw Lily, her snowy owl. that was fast. Walking over to the window she opened it and took the letter from her owl "Thanks Lily" she said as she watched the owl fly away. She walked back to Scott with the letter in her hand.

"Protego!" He said as he just caught the Stunning Spell and pointed it towards the fireplace, where it basically dissolved.

"A letter from my uncle" she said smiling. The letter was in official ministry parchment Probably wrote it at work she thought. She read it taking the large stack of notes out of it. Had to have used an expansion charm on the envelope. As she finished reading the letter she handed it to Scott.

Dear Chelsea,
Good to hear from you I trust you are doing well by the sounds of it. You should really write your aunt soon she's worried about you. Because of whats going on right now. I trust that most likely you know so I don't have to explain.

Of course you can have my old spell notes. Just be careful their not all defensive. In these notes is every spell I've learned so be sure to watch the ones you use.

Reading her uncles notes she found the Patronus Charm "Ok it says to think of the happiest memory you can remember and it be a strong memory" she looked for the incantatum "Its Expecto Patronum"

He had two choices:
When Chelsea first said 'I love you'
Or the family's Christmas party

He thought about Christmas, when he had his aunt and uncle over with the rest of his family, and everyone was having a great time.

"Expecto Patronum!" He shouted.

He almost had it! "Try it again" she looked at the notes. "Remember don't loose your focus for a second on that memory". Hopefully when she tried it after Scott she would get it. The tries she attempted before always failed. It was a difficult spell but she always seemed to loose concentration right before the spell could finish.

It failed, the Patronus Charm was clearly VERY advanced magic.
He looked at the notes and spotted something. "It says here that the youngest person to have conjured a Patronus was 13, that person was Harry Potter"

"Shall we move on" he smiled.

"Yeah we'll come back to this later. I've tried so many times at it and was never successful at it" she smiled.

Looking through the notes she noticed so many spells and not all of them defense. Good thing theres a description on each one it would be a mess if they had tried a spell and not knowing what it could be. "Which one should we try next?" she asked him smiling.

She noticed her parents old notes in the pile of her uncles notes. She tossed them back into the envelope. Wouldn't want to mess with those theres not even good descriptions on them. But her uncle had them in his possession like he had their wands, so they wouldn't get into the wrong hands.

Better they practice on the fireplace instead of each other that could be dangerous.

"Ok now just try and set the fire on the fireplace" she told him.

She put the light out on her wand since they could see again. "Great!" this spell would be helpful to him in battles for many uses.

Deciding to try it herself she used the water spell again to put out the fireplace. She didn't need the light since she was already facing the target. She aimed her wand at the fire place "Incendio" fire shot out of her wand and into the fireplace. She had always been good with fire based spells she didn't know why though.

"Now try it at me" she said. He needed to practice more on a smaller target than a wide fireplace. Standing across from him she had her wand at the ready.

He pointed his wand towards the target, gave a quick flick and said..

"Incendio!"

A jet of light went straight towards her and he was anxious as to what would happen, to the point where he almost couldn't look.

"Thanks" it was her first time also casting that spell. It must not be too difficult if two first years can get it right on their first try. But it was a very useful spell. Chelsea took a liking to fire spells since they were easy for her to cast.

With her wand at the ready she watched as he cast his fire spell right at her. He looked to nervous to even watch which explained why he was hardly watching. With her want in hand she yelled

"Finite Incantatem"

and with the quick flick of her wand his incendio spell had no effect.

"Why do you think I had you fire a dangerous spell on me? I just wanted to show you this really helpful defense spell" she said smiling. She probably had made him really nervous when she asked him to cast a fire spell on her but she wanted to show him this spell.

"Its Finite Incantatem it stops almost any spell from taking effect. I watched my aunt and uncle use it a lot when I was younger. That was my first time even trying it...and I'm glad it worked" she said. If it hadn't worked then she would be in a lot of pain.

The room around them changed into a combat training room, with dummies and allsorts. About time. he thought.
