Ellie smirked at his request. "Oh, if you insist." She said sarcastically. She was, after all: Ellie, Queen of Sarcasm. Hm.

After pacing in front of the wall several times, a door appeared in front of them and Ellie smiled. Leading Dallin by the hand, she opened the door and led him in. Grinning, she reached behind him when the door shut and took her scarf off of his eyes so he could see what had been created for him.

They were in a brightly lit room, filled with birthday decorations: streamers, balloons, confetti. The room wasn't too big, but it was just the right size for two happy people. There was a shiny, black grand piano in the far left corner of the room. Part two of her surprise. On the right side of the room stood a buffet table covered in cakes, cupcakes, sweets, treats and endless amounts of goodies. There was even a giant fireplace on the opposite wall to keep them nice and cozy warm.

Ellie bit her lip to keep from grinning to hard. "Do you like it?" She asked some-what nervously. "I guess I could have invited people. Maybe it would have been more exciting than just a party of two. I mean, we have enough food to feed an army..." Ellie mumbled nervously and rubbed the back of her neck. Did he like it..?

If she went to that class it would probably be her luck to get stuck with some little kid... or worse yet... Carter. After Ellie's little nervous chatter, she felt Dallin take her hand. She stopped, looked up at him and smiled. More than fine? A satisfactory statement enough. "Do you like it?" She asked him with a smile. She certainly hoped so, considering how many times she had to walk back in forth in front of that blasted wall just to get what she wanted.

After a moment, Ellie wanted to show Dallin his second surprise of the night. "Wait here." She said and scurried over to one of the dessert tables. She picked up a wrapped gift and brought it over to him with a slight grin. Inside was a big, shallow box that contained a giant painting of a beach. But not just any beach; the coastline by Ellie's house. It was the view from the back deck, looking over the cliffs and the ocean. "I made this for you." She said quietly, waiting for him to open it. Ellie bit her lip and waited, really hoping that he would like it. He seemed to like Ireland when he was there, so it seemed like there was a good chance he would like it, right?

Ellie was wringing her hands a little bit while Dallin opened the present. Again, she was nervous. She hadn't painted in a long time. And summer was quite chaotic. She finally had time once Dallin had left her house, so she took the opportunity to paint her favorite view. When Ellie saw his reaction, she bit her lip and grinned. His jaw dropping was a good thing right? Ellie nodded. "I painted it after you left." Nod. "My mum taught me to paint when I was young. She was so good, but she stopped once my dad died... I don't know why. But she gave me her supplies and ever since then I've been kind of an artsy person." She even drew Braeden a self-portrait for his birthday two years ago. Ellie shrugged. She didn't really know if Dallin wanted to hear all that, but oh well.

And he loved that too? Ellie blushed a little bit when he looked at her. "Really?" She asked, sheepish and quiet. Sure, it was just a painting, but it kind of meant the world to her that he really appreciated it.

Taking his hand and leading him back over to the table Marie sat back down with him. "Thank you for all the beautiful roses today. Each time I found a new clue with a rose I felt your love for me." Not that she needed flowers to know he loved her. "Just out of curiosity, how'd you get the rose on my pillow that I woke up to this morning?" Seeing that rose on her pillow along with the first clue that eventually lead her to where she was at right now had been the perfect start to her day.

Marie was going to have to be a little more careful when saying the password to get into her common room. Not that she minded Matty knowing it but if anyone else ever overheard her saying it... yeah, she didn't want to have to answer to Lafay on that one. "...and you came into my dorm room? Do you know what would have happened to you if Lafay would have caught you... or even one of the other girls?" She didn't even want to think about what Lafay would do to him.

Feeling herself blush when he said she looked adorable when she sleeps she leaned in and gave him a little kiss. "Trust me, you were around. You're always around when I sleep. In my dreams that is." It's true. He was always in her dreams. He was the first person she thought about when she woke up and before falling asleep and he was always in her dreams.

*Using polyjuice and turning into a first year girl was completely worth it. Marie was more than worth it to him. Also if he was some how found out by Lafay Matty knew he could talk himself out of it. It kind of creeped him out but Matty had a feeling that when ever he was in class professor Lafay would keep her eyes on him. That and the always trying to help him, and being... dare he say it... kind to him? Maybe he was just crazy, good thing he didn't get caught and have to test his theory.*

It certainly made Ellie feel better seeing how much Dallin liked her gifts. She really wanted to make this a fantastic day for him, since he was so special to her. She wanted him to have a great birthday. And now that it seemed like he was, Ellie started to calm down and feel less nervous. Because she really had nothing to worry about.

While she was speaking, Ellie noticed Dallin look away when she started talking about her dad. She almost smiled though, because she knew what he was thinking. Last time she had talked about her dad... Well, she didn't really talk, it was more of her crying on his shoulder for several minutes. But it was different this time and she wasn't going to cry. Ellie shrugged a little at his comment. "Yeah, I guess I never really brought it up. Probably because I haven't done anything like this in a long time." She said with another shrug. Telling him this made Ellie wonder what little things Dallin did at home to keep himself busy. Or maybe he just surfed all the time, who knew?

When Dallin told her that he missed being there, she smiled a little. "I missed you being there too." She said with a light laugh. Sure it was only two weeks that he wasn't there, but the house was quiet again once he left. "I'm glad you like it. It means a lot." Ellie told him, rather quietly for some reason.

"But we've got one more surprise! And then we can pig out on cake and stuff." She said beaming. Maybe Dallin could guess what it was, since it was kind of random in the room. Y'know, there was balloons, streamers, cake, sweets and junk food, and... a piano. Heheh.
