You're searching the castle for a mysterious room you have heard of called The Room of Requirement. You have searched every nick and cranny of the castle but still no room. You climb the stairs to the seventh floor and come across a stange tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet. You laugh at the silly tapestry until you side almost burst. Then you remember hearing the Room is located opposite such a tapestry. You turn around expecting to see a door, but find a blank wall instead. You start walking back and forth three times concentrating hard on what it is you need. Suddenly a door appears. You open it and discover you have found the Room of Requirement...

"Can we just... forget about it for tonight?" He asked quietly as he turned toward her and grabbed her hand that wasn't by her face in both of his. "Let's enjoy the room. And each other." Slowly, he walked backwards toward the chair they'd been sitting on. "Please?"
When Dallin spoke again, Ellie felt a wave of relief. He wanted to forget it for tonight. His birthday. Ellie met his eyes when he took one of her hands in both of his. Instinctively, Ellie put her other hand on their hands. It would be hard to forget about what they had just talked about, honestly. But Ellie would try her hardest to focus on other things. When Dallin led them back to the chair, Ellie followed and nodded slowly before taking a seat.
Now they needed a subject change. Desperately. But what should they talk about now? Life? Family? Quidditch? Wizard Rock? Endless possibilities, really. "So what does it feel like to be of age?" Yeah. That was the only question she could think of, really.

Good, she was coming to sit with him. Dallin knew that she couldn't forget everything so easily... but at least she was going to try. He knew that by the way she agreed with him and sat by him again. She was willing to look past it for his birthday.
He could tell the question was forced. A change of subject was needed, though, and since she asked... well, Dallin would try his best to get them to act natural. And it wasn't really a bad question to start with... Ellie S. had asked him the same thing earlier that day. "It's pretty cool. I can do magic outside of school... I'll be able to Apparate soon." Yep. Those were the perks of being of age, really. Not much to it, but... it was cool. Not to mention he was legally an adult now.
"Thanks!" She giggles softly and she ran over to the brooms. She smiled and nodded. "Maybe! Or these'll let us go a bit further." She winked, and hopped on one of the brooms.
Sarah laughed, "I hope they let us go farther. And higher. I'll bet there's a great view from way up there!"
She looked up at the sky with child-like curiosity as she made her way to the second broom. Heights. She had never been afraid of heights. Her only phobia was of certain types of bugs. Blegh, hairy and slimy. Ick. Heights, on the other hand, were fun. Seeing everything from a bird's eye view. All small and pretty. It really brought a new meaning to the phrase 'Head in the clouds'.
She climbed onto the broom and grinned, "Let's see how well these work, eh?" she asked amiably, before kicking off slightly clumsily.

Braeden paced back and forth in front of the room of requirement with a small, thin, rectangular box in hand. It was a movie. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, to be exact. If Emma enjoyed it, he'd set up another movie date and show her the sequels.
BUT. For now. He had to make this room of requirement work. He'd been pacing non-stop for the past two minutes, but he was so anxious and nervous and excited at the same time, that he couldn't concentrate on what he needed to ask for. His mind kept slipping back to that gorgeous blonde girl he had the good fortune of calling his girlfriend. Merlin, it felt so long since he'd last seen her. This was his last year at Hogwarts, so he had been a little bit busier than usual, especially with NEWTs coming up and all.
Finally, after only 87348573 tries, Braeden got the room of requirement to present itself. Flashing a goofy, lopsided grin of his, the Gryffindork ran over to the door, as if afraid it might disappear if he didn't burst into the place in the next 2.5 seconds. Once inside the pitch black, large room, Brae did what he did best: he ran straight into one of the theater chairs and flipped over, landing on the one beside it before rolling off and landing on the carpeted floor.
Smooth entrance, a-la Stonem.
Stumbling back up to his feet and wincing over his mildly injured elbow and knee, the seventeen-year-old stretched out his arms and blindly guided himself over to the projector.
It wasn't after exactly 13 minutes of trying hopelessly to set up the movie, that the muggleborn remembered: I'm a wizard. I'm a wizard, I have... A WAND!
And so, at that moment, he pulled out his wand and muttered, "Lumos!"
Suddenly, life was so much easier. Smiling to himself in his own embarrassment, the dorky, clumsy boy shook his head, unaware of the mess his lion's mane had become after that whole crash with the seats earlier.

Emma Malfoy dressed in a sweet blue dress walked into the Room of Requirement. She was running a tad bit late. Five minutes late. The blonde hadn't realized that she had spent more time than she expected talking with Selena and Nikolas in the Common Room. She was late! Late, oh late! For a very important date.
Now, with the adorable letter in her hand that her boyfriend had left for her, she walked slowly towards the illuminated room that had transformed into a Muggle movie theatre. She chuckled. Figures. Braeden, after all, was interested in directing and it reminded her of an earlier conversation that she had had with him two years ago when they first met or perhaps it was the second time they met? Emma Malfoy had lost count. But, nevertheless, Emma thought the whole idea was wonderful. A movie date! The She-Snake wondered what movie they would be watching. Braeden was the movie expert, so the blonde trusted his choice for whatever movie he had picked because Emma was a pureblood and she hadn’t really watched any famous muggle movies.
The blonde searched the room. Her brown eyes scanning around the room, searching for his adorkable smile that always gave her goose bumps and made her legs feel like jello. And then her eyes saw his tall figure. She hadn't seen him in a long time, it had felt like centuries. Had he grown taller? AGAIN? Merlin. Boys never stop growing do they? A smile grew on her lips, growing wider and wider, as she skipped walked towards him. Her brown eyes sparkled with joy.
“Braeden!” she cried, wearing a pleasant smile on her face as she waved across the room to him. She couldn’t hide her joy any longer. In a matter of a few seconds the blonde hugged him tightly, yet not to tight, and kissed his lips, passionately. This was amazing.

Braeden had finally managed to turn the dim lights of the theater on when, suddenly, a glowing silhouette stepped into the room. Squinting his brown eyes at the sudden burst of light, Brae stared until his eyes adjusted and he was able to make out the features and figure of the newcomer - it was Emma! At this realization, the dork's lips curved into a smile and his teeth came to sight as that smile widened to a grin.
Oh, MERLIN.
It had been YEARS since he'd last seen Emma!
Well, not literally, but it certainly felt like it had been centuries ago that he'd last seen her. How could this be?! How had he allowed school and exams and overall busyness to keep him away from this beautiful girl?! Oh, what he'd been missing out on…
Grinning like a big, happy doof, the boy wrapped his lanky arms around the girl that was hugging him tightly at that moment. He gently lifted her a couple feet off the floor, returning her kiss with more enthusiasm than usual. He couldn't help it, though, he hadn't seen her in a while and couldn't help but crave her sweet lips.
After a moment of just hugging and kissing like the lovestruck fools kids they were, Braeden finally released his girlfriend. He couldn't stop smiling, completely unaware of how crazy he looked at that moment, not just because his enormous smile was borderline psychotic-looking, but his hair was sticking out in all directions. He'd been so horribly busy during the summer and the beginning of this term, that he hadn't cut his hair in a while, so it was starting to get a bit long and messy; his chin and jawline were lightly covered in scruff as well, just adding on to the boy's disheveled, lion-like look.
This is what happens when he doesn't have his girlfriend around often enough to keep his appearance in check.
"Em!" the Gryffindork breathed after a good few long moments of just staring at the blonde before him. "You got shorter!"
Of course Brae would be too dull to realize that Emma hadn't grown shorter, but rather HE had grown taller.
Lilly ran into the room of requirement (randomly!) Cool, a comfy sitting room with a ginormus TV. Just what she needed. It even had a shelf of films. Hmm, Narnia? Defo!

Was he confused? Worried? Ellie looked at him while he answered her lame question. He didn't seem neccessarily upset. But Ellie was, at herself.
She couldn't help it, so she held Dallin's hand and moved closer to him. Resting her head on his shoulder, she really hoped that he was okay. That they were okay. And that leaning on him wouldn't make him feel uncomfortable or anything.
Nodding, Ellie sighed lightly. "That'll make traveling easier then, apparating. Are you going to take the class?" She asked. And she wondered if she was allowed to take the class since she'd be 17 in January. She'd have to look into that.

Of course Brae would be too dull to realize that Emma hadn't grown shorter, but rather HE had grown taller.
The blonde blushed a little as he kissed her when he lifted her off the ground. Merlin. HE WAS MAKING HER BLUSH AGAIN! Whenever the blonde was with Braeden she felt as if she was in a movie. A romantic comedy with a pinch of drama added to it. He was the leading male star and she was the leading female. He made her feel important and loved. But as the blonde had been kissing her boyfriend, she felt his chin. It was scratchy... So, Braeden hadn't shaved for their meeting? Some boyfriend he was. She didn't really like the scruffiness but she was too happy to tell him what she thought about it at the moment. At least he hadn't grown A BEARD.
The blonde took a deep breath as Braeden began to talk. WAIT? O.o
She had gotten shorter?
No. Emma was tall. She was five eight for Merlin's sake. But, on the other hand, Braeden was six foot something, a giant. But an adorable lion giant. The blonde smirked and chuckled, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. "Perhaps I have. Or maybe YOU have just grown taller. Not fair. I thought I had caught up to you. Still, I plan to take over the world," teased the blonde as she glanced up at her handsome boyfriend.
"It feels as if its been ages since I've seen you Brae. How have you been?" she asked, smiling widely and folding her arms. The blonde glanced around at the big movie screen. WOAH. What was going on in here? The blonde raised her eyebrows slowly. "And Braeden, this looks awesome.. AMAZING!" said Emma, beaming.
Ellie was trying to act as casual as possible, but considering what had just... happened, it was still difficult. She fiddled around with her ring as if she was nervous. But she wasn't nervous. She was just... uneasy. Because she didn't really know how Dallin felt right then. Yeah, he had voiced his opinion and stuff, but his feelings were never really brought up. Was he mad or upset? Dallin stayed completely still for a moment as Ellie held his hand and scooted closer to him. He glanced down at the top of her head where it lay on his shoulder... then he rested his on hers with a small sigh. See? Nothing new here. Just hand-holding and their heads together, like they'd done so many times before. It was normal.
"Already did," he said, his voice quieter now that they were so close again. "I don't know when I'll be able to take the test, though. I might forget everything and have to take the classes again." That was actually very possible, too.
He looked down at her - well, her nose, because that was all he could see from this view - and smiled slightly. "What do you think about me being seventeen?"

Until Dallin rested his head on hers, she was tense. Waiting for his reaction, if it was okay or not. But now that he seemed to agree with the gesture, she relaxed quite a bit and smiled softly. Back to normal, in a sense. For the time being, anyhow.
He already took the class? Well, he was on top of things, wasn't he? Ellie pursed her lips. "You won't forget, I'm sure you'll do fine." She reassured him. He was a Ravenclaw after all. Although there were things that could go wrong if you weren't concentrating hard enough. Like splinching. Ellie had read about that - among many other things - somewhere before. Splinching was horribly painful and dangerous. What if Dallin did forget things and splinch? "On second thought, taking the classes again may not be a bad idea." She said a bit quietly.
Raising her eyebrows a little, she tilted her head up to look at him. "What do I think?" She repeated and pondered it a bit. Technically, she could say she was dating an adult, but that kind of just sounded weird and creepy. "It's kinda cool. You're all grown up." She said with a little snort. "And I'm not far behind, just a couple months." So he wasn't that old. They seemed to be some of the oldest sixth years though. At least that's what Ellie noticed.

At Ellie's sudden change of mind, Dallin lifted his head up. Take the classes again? He looked down at her curiously, wondering about why she would change her mind so quickly. He didn't ask, though.
When she looked back at him, he smiled slightly. He nodded, agreeing. "Yep, only three months." He was kind of glad that was the case, too. Their age difference wasn't bad at all. It was actually better than a whole lot of couples. Which was kind of surprising, actually, considering the way they had first gotten together... heh.
Amethyst smiled and kicked off after her, making sure she didn't fall of the broom already. After making sure she didn't Ame shot into the air fast. She enjoyed the feeling of her hair blowing in the wind. And suddenly, a loud hooting came about. A black figure was hiding behind the clouds.
Sarah thought back to the bumper brooms, and cautiously navigated the sky on her broom. She decided to not talk, simply because it was too windy to even bother. Otherwise she would have been talking a mile a minute. Then again, that was considered normal for her.
A sound disrupted her train of thought and she glanced behind her. What, a shadow? She tilted her head to the side, what in Merlin's...?

Amethyst looked slightly afraid, turning around to follow up, and protect Sarah. She was looking back behind her as she saw that the figure was Onyx. She soared hooting happily as she perched on Sarah's broom. Amethyst swirved over, going back to Sarah's side. She chuckled softly shaking her head. "I thought you were something trying to attack us, Onyx!"

Not that Onyx couldn't be dangerous. She was sure that being pecked by an owl wasn't very pleasant, but she doubted that Onyx would purposefully harm them. She was such a sweet owl.

Onyx flapped her wings as she walked onto Sarah's shoulder. Amethyst smiled at them both and leaned forward as her broom went faster. She smiled wide as they advanced over a river, she lowered herself as she let her hand run through the water.

Sarah rolled her eyes in good naturedly, cute, Onyx. She flew after Ame until they reached the water. She veered up suddenly as Ame went down. She sat high above the river in amusement. She considered briefly jumping off and diving, but she didn't particularly want sopping wet clothes and she didn't know how deep, or shallow, the water was. She let her broom drift down, gaining speed slowly. She still hadn't really gotten the hang of riding a broom, and she didn't fancy falling just yet.
"You're pretty good at flying," she said, as soon as she was close enough to Ame, "You totally should've tried out!"

Chelsea walked to the seventh floor. Searching for the Room of Requirement. Normally it didn't take long to find but today it took a few searches. As soon as the doors appeared she walked in. She felt the warmth of the fire place immediately and it felt great since she'd been outside all day. Sitting down on the floor with her back against the couch she grabbed her bag. Taking out todays Daily Prophet she began to read. Hopping to see one of her friends...she skimmed the titles of the daily prophet Nothing interesting today

Turning around she saw Ryan. She noticed she had been seeing him a lot lately. "Hey everything is going good" she smiled. She folded up her copy of the Daily Prophet and put it back in her bag. "I come here a lot...it helps me think" she told him. Whenever the common room wasn't peaceful this is where she came. Although it wasn't the same since she couldn't hear the sound of the water against the windows like in the common room.
