The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.
Elliot, looking quite serious and icy as ever, squinted as she sat down at her table, looking for some familiar faces. Presley wasn't there yet, but she did see Jayden. She didn't give the girl ANY recognition except for a slight nod in her direction.
She was NOT upset about leaving. NO. She would miss the place, of course, she loved it at Hogwarts! But she wouldn't be seeing the one person she wanted to see the most in the entire world right now: Darius Morganzo, her father. She still had his letter folded up carefully in her pocket, and she had tried to wipe the tearstains off, for she would NEVER EVER admit to anyone she had cried over this. It was weak to cry.
Which Jayden seemed to be doing right now...about leaving. Elliot rolled her eyes to herself, not caring in she didn't say a word the entire night.
Ugh.
She looked up and down the table with a horrible look on her face, is she smelled something extremely gross. Where is the stupid salad? I don't eat meat! she thought to herself. Relax...relax... she told herself, and she sighed a huge sigh. Glancing at Jayden, she managed a small smirk in her direction. She really wanted to talk to Presley....!
Jayden looked up and saw another familiar face, Elliot!
"Hey there!" She called out, raising her hand in a lazy sort of wave.
"How have you been? Crazy it's the end of the first year already! Do you have plans for the summer?" She asked, truly interested.

Elliot eyed Jayden with a glare. How dare she be so cheerful! Elliot wasn't in the mood for cheerful! Gah!
"I have been exceptionally...okay," she replied briskly, still looking around for some shrubbery to eat...she twirled the fork around in her hand absentmindedly. "Yes...crazy. I feel much older then when I began. Obviously. And to think, Jayden, the very first time we met you were being such a little fool, arguing with me," she replied with a snort, grinning in that Elliot way over at the other girl. "But now you've learned-I'm always right...I think that's why we get along so well, Jayden," muhahha.
"And Yes, I believe I do. I think I am going on vacation with a friend if my father allows me to do so..." which was a fat chance. but Elliot would definitely be going, whether he approved or not!
"And you, Jayden? Any big plans with Caelius for the summer?" Sarcasm. Elliot was full of it.

Oh Elliot.
"The only reasons that I am not arguing with you now is because I don't have anything to argue about, and because it would be a waste of my precious time, to be honest." Jayden responded just as cooly, a small twinkle in her eye. The only way to get along with Elliot it seemed was to be just as cold and fight back.
"Why yes, I do have plans with Cael. I plan to spend at least a week with either him at my home, or myself at his." She smiled, thinking about spending time with Cael made her happy... very happy.

Ellie stood from her place and slowly moved to the front to sit beside her teammate. She pushed her plate away and placed her head on the bare table, facing Mina. "It's weird, yeah." There wasn't emotion in her voice. It was just a fact. It was just weird.
The fifth year was going to let Mina speak. Because she didn't want to say anything to make the seventh year sad, if she was okay. Granted, she didn't exactly look okay, but Ellie certainly didn't want to make things worse.
However, if Mina wanted to bawl, she was here for her.
And so was Carter! "Hey, Carter." The Gryffindor definitely didn't look okay. His eyes were...reddish and...crying-like.
Now, Ellie was frowning.
Mina bit her lip softly as she felt her emotions start to break through. She had told herself that she would cry, but how was she supposed to be strong at a moment like this. It was all coming to an end and she wasn't at all ready for it. Hogwarts and all the people that she surrounded herself with, were her home and family. No, she wasn't ready to say good-bye for the last time. It couldn't be over, not yet!
Hearing a voice, no the voice of her captain, she looked to her side. Holding back her tears for another moment, she nodded and replied in a soft voice. "Weirder than you know." Nothing could have ever prepared her for moments like this. She didn't want to cry in front of the fifth year, but the tears weren't about to start listening to her. "You know, I'm going to miss you...and being here with everyone." There was so much she wanted to say but she couldn't get them out as the tears started to escape her eyes.
"You and Vashti will keep carrying on the torch, won't you? We are a pride house and people don't understand us. It's not about being the smarter or the wisest to us. We are a family and even though eagles don't fly together often, when we do....it's an amazing thing. Keep that going and keep passing it to all the new 'claws. Please do that for me."
Biting her lip again, she looked up at the ceiling as her tears flowed freely now.
Why did this have to be so difficult?
SPOILER!!: Carter!

And he was going to tell her how much he'd miss her.
And so there he stood... looking for the girl that he needed all year.
And when he spotted her he walked up to her... sat down... and gave her a hug.
No introductions and no asking for permission.
Just as she was about to look back to her captain, for Ellie would always be her captain; just as Nia and Jacob were before her; Mina felt arms around her and she looked up at the owner of the arms.
There was the boy that had put her through so much in their seven year friendship and all she could do was wrap her arms around him in return.
This was a hard year for them and she couldn't truly ever think about walking away from him without telling him something.
"Carter.....I'm sorry for everything." she voiced in a soft voice. "I didn't mean for anything of this to happen. You will always be my best friend...no matter what. I'm really sorry."
Of all the things that were ending, she couldn't let their friendship end too.

"Mins, you knew about the wedding? Ronnie told you?" she then answered his query saying that she doesnt know what he was talking about, that she wasnt there "Oh ok, Ronnie thought she saw you. That is why I asked" he said smiling, but there was something strange with the way she said it. He then turned to Ronnie who was still looking upset, she looked at the food but didnt touch it. Just looked at it, she then started to cry and held his hand tighter and then put her head on his shoulder. She then requested that he sit with her on the train ride home "Of course Angel, anything for you." he said smiling. He also wanted someone to sit with him for this final journey home, before he parted from them. It would be his last journey with them until 31st August and probably the last time he would see them for a long time. He would try to persuade them to sit with him.
"Thanks." she said smiling, her face brightening a bit. She was actually real eager to head home...ahh, to see Rupert AT LAST. She had missed him all year. She hadn't seen him since last summer. But then again, to leave Rose, Harvey, Jordan, Minnie, Ame, Justin? That's was hard. . .
She noticed how tightly she was squeezing Harvey's hand, so she loosened her grip a bit. Hopefully she hadn't broken his hand...."Sorry about that." she said with a little laugh. "Just a bit....uneasy I guess." she said smiling a bit. She put an arm around Harvey as she still lay her head on his shoulder, and held his hand. She loved Harvey. With all her heart. So much.
Nate sighed. He had let the conversation around him go on without paying much attention: he was zoned out at his empty plate. Leaning over, Nate rested his head on Jez's shoulder. "Wow, this year was really draining," he mumbled. He could have fallen asleep there if he weren't so hungry...
"The only reasons that I am not arguing with you now is because I don't have anything to argue about, and because it would be a waste of my precious time, to be honest." hmm...it surely would be a waste of time, since Elliot was simply always right...duh. Elliot's tummy rumbled angrily, and the first year(soon to be second year!) narrowed her eyes. "Merlin, where in world is the FOOD?" she asked, quite sharply, her blue eyes flickering towards the staff table. The headmaster wasn't even there yet.
It was going to be quite a LOOONG night.
That sounded so NICE. Not. Ew. "Well...I will definitely be keeping in touch. Aren't you lucky," she replied back, her smirking as she let her eyes wander back onto Jayden. "Are your parents okay with Caelius and you...together?" she asked, cocking an eyebrow curiously at the girl. The Morganzo's most certainly wouldn't.
She rested her hands on her lap, for it was rude to put the elbows on the table, or so Darius said. She folded her hands gingerly in her lap, wishing she could just go home...but she didn't want to go home either...

"Good to know you plan to keep in touch." She smiled, glancing around the room for any sign of Caelius.
"You should join Cael and I in one of the train compartments. The three of us need to catch up. And in regards to my parents and Cael, my parents like him very much. He is a very charming, pureblood boy... but of course you know that." Jayden replied cheerfully, flashing Elliot a wink.

Elliot merely grumbled, folding her arms across her chest. She was too spoiled to be kept waiting for this long. This NEVER happened at home! Her old house elf could do better by himself!
"Yes, but my owl is very high maintenance, I must warn you. He expects to be fed and watered and a bath..." she replied, smirking at the thought of the family owl, Catullus. He was a very sharp, clever bird. And, like Elliot, spoiled. "And Catullus likes female owls...so if you have one, keep her locked up. He's a player," she added with a small chuckle. Oh, Catullus!
Oh...the train.
"Of course, I would simply love to join Caelius the Great...and you," she snickered, her eyes flashing with zest. "I see. How lucky you are, Jayden, to have such a good boyfriend. He most certainly is a worthy prize," Caelius DID come from a nice, long line of healthy, pure, blood. Elliot assumed Jayden did, as well...or she hoped.

She smiled as he kissed her head, just the thing she needed to get her spirits up a little. "Thanks, sweetheart." she said, kissing him lightly on the lips. So what if someone saw? It was quickly anyway, it wasn't some long gushy kiss. She then brightened a little. "Oh that'd be brilliant! I'm sure Rupert wouldn't mind. Besides, he'll have...what? Five girls including Holli living with him. Maybe it'd be a bit of help for me to leave. And I wouldn't mind it at all, as long as I'm with you..." she said grinning and pinching his cheek. I'll be here if you need me." she said with a smile.

Harvey smiled as she was relieved it wasnt broken "Yes that is true, we can fix it." he said smiling as she kissed him and thanked him for kissing her head. SHE kissed HIM in plain view of EVERYONE!! Oh well it was done now, but it had felt good to be kissed again "Oh well then it would be better for him if I took you off his hands for the holidays. I mean that is ALOT of girls to deal with and that too in ONE house" he said chuckling as she pinched his cheek. Walking into the Great Hall, Ellie scanned each of the tables. There seemed to be a sob fest at the Gryffindor table. Slytherins were probably happy. There weren't many Hufflepuffs there yet, and there were mostly first years at the Ravenclaw table. Except for Marie who seemed to be comforted by Stella. And Ellie Stone whom Ellie was still too intimidated by to speak to in person. And, ah. Louisa. They were... companions.
Ellie slid onto the bench next to the younger girl and smiled. "Hey Louisa." She said with a little nudge in the girl's arm. Hopefully Louisa wouldn't yell her name and try to rip her arm off like she did at the pep rally. That was a side of the girl she hadn't seen before...
The Ravenclaw was yawning and almost falling asleep because of that staying-up-late-with-Dal anniversary thing the night before, but someone had nudged her and she sat up straight slightly surprised. "Ellie," grinning at the.. STB SEVENTH YEAR, "You're here." Obviously.
Louisa yawned once more, not forgetting to cover her mouth this time, "Sorry. I'm just.. sleepy. Your boyfriend kept me too excited last night to go to sleep." She crossed her arms and leaned her head down on them, looking up at the older friend. See? She was a rival last year, now Ellie was a friend. Heh, life. "So, you're becoming a graduate student starting tomorrow. How does it feel?" Hold that thought! Louisa's face turned more serious as she added, "Did you think you'd... make it this far?" The curse and all.

Also Louisa couldn't understand the solemn faces of most of the seventh years, she would be exhilarated to graduate Hogwarts and seek another educational institute! That was the best thing about study; Being able to graduate and finish something!

Nate leaned up and stuck out is tongue playfully at Jez. "I'll sleep if I wanna..." he said quietly, sitting up from Jez's shoulder anyways and rubbing his face. He messed up his hair, too, just for the fun of it.
"So were taking a plane, then? I love plane rides, but magical transportation is interesting, too. I'lll need to get a few books..." he trailed off, daydreaming more about the plane ride with Jez than the blocky prose of the textbooks he was also determined to find over the summer. And who knew, maybe he would read a novel, too. If he had time, that is, while living with Jez and Pam...

He most certainly is a worthy prize," Caelius DID come from a nice, long line of healthy, pure, blood. Elliot assumed Jayden did, as well...or she hoped.
"Of course... completely understandable. I'll make sure to keep Snowflake far away from your owl." Jayden responded with a snicker. Snowflake liked to play rough, and she was very picky about male owls. Jayden didn't want some sort of owl WWE to happen.
"Well... lovely. And yes, very lucky. I'm happy he and I are in each other's lives, he truly is wonderful." She commented with a sigh, bringing her hand up to adjust the necklace Cael had gotten her.

Carter blinked. Repeatedly. It was a shame he'd just gotten his eyes to stop watering... because he was about to repeat the process all over again. He pulled back from the hug a bit so he could lean his forehead against her.
"Shh. Shh. Shh. It's fine." he said with watery eyes. "Because the thing about best friends is that they forgive each other no matter what." He then smiled at her. "And no matter how many fights they had... they can always pick right back up."
He once again wrapped his arms around her. He finally had his Mina back. It took all year... but it happened. "I'm sorry too." he said quietly. Never in a million years would he thought that he'd been capable of hurting someone as much as he'd hurt his 'claw.

Ah. Yes. Another birdie. He quickly wiped his eyes before turning toward the younger girl. "Captain." he said greeting her with a nod. "This better not be the last time I see you." he said to her with a weak smile. He fully intended on playing against the Ravenclaw Captain again... when she went Pro.
"You planning on attending a Puddlemere match this summer?"

I'lll need to get a few books..." he trailed off, daydreaming more about the plane ride with Jez than the blocky prose of the textbooks he was also determined to find over the summer. And who knew, maybe he would read a novel, too. If he had time, that is, while living with Jez and Pam...
Jez stuck out her tongue back at Nate. "But not on me ..." she countered in a low voice. She raised it slightly to speak to Pam as well. "Plane it is then. Magical transportation isn't as scenic - a bit uncomfortable, yes, but not scenic. You don't get any time to look at anything. And I want to see what an airport is like ..." She mulled over this quietly, thinking of the hordes of people that would be there. "Would it be like the Underground stations? I went there once with Keegan." Her mind flicked again to what it would actually be like in America. A few of her cousins lived there, but she'd never visited them - seeing them once a year at Christmas was quite enough. "D'you think anyone would mind my accent?" she asked doubtfully. It sounded way too posh and British, even to her ears - not like Nate's and Pam's when they'd first come to Hogwarts.
Just as she was about to look back to her captain, for Ellie would always be her captain; just as Nia and Jacob were before her; Mina felt arms around her and she looked up at the owner of the arms.

Truer words have not been spoken, Mina Bennett. Ellie really didn't know. Obviously, she hasn't graduated. She didn't know what it felt like. But she imagined it being weird. To know that you'd no longer be walking through the halls of Hogwarts, or relaxing in the sun by the Whomping Willow, or playing against kids under 18 in Quidditch. Of course, at this point in Ellie's life, that all sounded exciting. She'd love to leave this Castle. It felt suffocating at times. She'd love to be free of the Professors and homework and exams. To play real players in Quidditch.
None of that was expressed, though. The 'Claw merely gave her friend a weak smile. One suitable for Mina's mood, more than her own. "I'm going to miss you, too." She wrapped a single arm around Mina for a brief moment. And then there were tears. Ellie's pitiful smile turned itself upside down immediately. "Mina, please don't...." 'Cry'. But she was cut off by the seventh year. And, you know what? It was Mina's time and Ellie wasn't going to stand in her way of saying anything she felt the need to say.
"Of course we will! We'll show the ickle ones how amazing we can be. For you. I promise." She had this urge to just grab the seventh year and squeeze the life out of her. Ellie found it hard to be sad, but she couldn't stand the thought of Mina being upset, with no way of avoiding what she wanted to avoid most. And, actually, the whole 'not being smart and wise' hit hard on the fifth year. It meant a lot.
But hugging was what Carter seemed to be here for, and the girl watched the two older kids embrace and...make up, it seemed. It was incredibly sweet.
Heh. There was a smile on her face again. Did she mention she liked being called 'Captain'? The smile widened, "It won't be." It definitely wouldn't be. "I am! And I can't wait to see you!" There were a lot of games lined up for her for the summer. But she was most looking forward to the ones her friends were playing in. Especially Carter, with him being 'fresh meat' and all.

Walking into the Great Hall for the end-of-term feast, Stella felt like she should feel differently. Exams were over, and she'd gotten through finals as well. All that stood between herself and the summer, including her plans with Matt, was the feast and the train ride back to London. She was having a hard time not being influenced by the mood of the room, though. The excitement of the Slytherins, as she'd glanced at that table when she'd arrived to see if Matt was there yet, the seventh years sad that they were graduating... She found herself not really sure what she felt. At least she'd survived Potions class, and not failed it miserably.
Arriving at the Ravenclaw table, she sat next to another girl, who seemed a bit depressed. She didn't look like a seventh year, but maybe other things were going on. She remembered the people who had tried to help her during the aftermath of the hate potion, so she wanted to help now. "Are you alright?," she asked. It was a start.
Marie's sight was focused on the cup right in front of her and how her fingers easily slipped thorugh the edges. Right then, a girl approached her. Younger girl. She smiled, "...I don't really know. I mean, I'm not a seventh year, but I'm leaving..." She whispered, biting her lips a bit, "...but I never thought it'd be this hard." Her eyes turned to the girl, giving her a small grin, then she shrugged. There was nothing to be done. Her decisions and everything was set up for the summer and the next four years.
"Sorry for bugging you with my troubles." She apologised. " I'm Marie...Marie Santiago." There was the start. At the very end of the term.
