"You too," she said with a light laugh. Evangeline knew she would be right, it was rather obvious but of course the sorting hat could have put him elsewhere, she was just rather happy that they were in the same house. Evangeline saw a similar person to herself in scott and she wanted them to be in the same house as they shared interests.

"Me too, especially Charms," Evangeline said nearly jumping in her seat with excitement. A wide grin was permanently spread on her face.

"Oh, it was fine really, i totally understand," She replied. Even though she said it was fine now at the time she'd been rather annoyed but after a while she realised how petty she was being. "I had to meet my parents anyway," She said hoping that slight bit of information would make him seem less upset for his actions.

Scott got immediately angry with the un-mannered boy "Don't be so intrusive, leave him alone"

"Hello Jerrod, I'm Scott. It's nice to meet you" he said, holding out a friendly hand.

"No problem" He smiled for about the billionth time.
"I find wandlore fascinating, but I don't know if I'd consider it as a career.

"The Sorting Hat thought about putting me in Gryffindor but I'm really glad we're both in Ravenclaw, and there are a lot of nice people here. But I'm sure you know that" He smiled.

"I felt a bit guilty at the time just running off" he laughed.
"Oh did you ask your parents about mine?" Scott said, hoping not to sound too rude.

"Oh really?" Scott found this interesting. "I didn't know that"
"Because they're all dirty!" He exclaimed, "Well at least mine" He chuckled.

''Hey Pres! Yeah defently'' she reached out her hand and got the apple juice she forgot to Presley her present on the train so it would have to give it to her in the common room

''So what's up?''

Jerrod took the handkerchief and wiped yet another tear off. "T-Thanks." He said. "I w-would p-prefer not to talk a-about it.." He said. "A-And don't w-worry about it, m-many ask me that q-question.." Jerrod said and made a tiny change in his face with a insecure smile.


What? Someone asked me a question? Well.. Someone talked to me for a change so it shouldn't be that suprising after all.. He thought for himself.

"D-Divination is w-when you learn to p-predict your future by using some d-diffrent methods." He said with a worried smile.

"D-Dave is a Northern W-White-faced o-owl." He said and made a shy smile.

As he ate his food in complete silence, aside from the munching and the chewing, he heard someone greet him quietly. Rory turned to his right and saw a girl who seemed to be about his age. Though, considering his last experience with someone who really look like his age, he wasn't sure if this girl was also just a little shorty like Selena. Nevertheless, he decided to make another attempt at making some friends. Normal friends, that is.

"Hello, there! I'm Rory." he said, putting forth hand to shake hers.

Suddenly, a boy that sat down next to him quickly greeted him. With so many people at the sorting, he had a hard time remembering who was there with him. But this guy had to be his age, no doubt about it! So, with much confidence, Rory greeted the boy back. "Hey! I'm Rory. It's very nice to meet your Daniel!" Rory put up a stunning smile, one to show how confident and awesome he was because that was the type of person he wanted to be known for. Grumpy and gloomy? No way!

"So, uh, are you a first year, too?" he said, feeling better that he was now socializing with other people.

"Television is more complicated. It needs to be filmed using a video camera and then somehow the image is transported through like signal things and then the images appear on screen. It turns on with a switch though and it has wires and a plug." Olivia had started to gesture wildly with her hands like she did whenever she got excited about something. It was nice to know that there were people who didn't really know about things she'd grown up with, just like she didn't know things they'd grown up with. "Cars don't use electricity like TVs and lights, well not with plugs anyway. They use a battery."

Olivia didn't really know much about cars at all. She'd learn more when she was old enough to learn to drive.

"Nope. No chocolate frogs but we have plenty of chocolate and sweets. We do have a chocolate shaped like a frog though. Freddos! And we have jelly beans, like those Bertie Bott ones I tried on the train, only with not so many flavours."

She had an extremely sweet tooth and she knew that she'd have to stock up during the holidays. Wizard sweets were good but they weren't the same.

"What's it like living with magic?"

Luna raised an eyebrow ''No one's lucky your mean't to be in Ravenclaw!'' said Luna wisely

"Cool!" Divination sounded very interesting ... definitely a library look-up! "Dave sounds like a very nice owl," chuckled Jezabel. "My older brother Keegan has an absolutely horrid bag of feathers masquerading as an owl - he's called Toenails. And you'd expect a horrible owl to go with a name like that!"
Jezabel glanced at Jerrod's recently wet cheeks. Dare she ask about his family? What if it upset him again? She decided to take the plunge. "Do you have any siblings?"

Aurora smiled, "Yep, I haven't been here a day and already I'm overwhelmed by Hogwarts. No, I'm a muggleborn and the first in my family to get the letter to Hogwarts. How many siblings do you have?"

Aurora shook Rory's hand, "Hi, I'm Aurora and you a first year too?"

Jerrods face which once again had changed was now neither sad or happy, it was somewhat neutral.

"N-Nice, yes, I do, I h-have two o-older brothers, Zack and H-Henry.
W-What about y-you, do you have any s-s-siblings?"

"I dont know about any classes as yet but I would like to try making potions and doing some powerful spells, although I dont think we will be doing any of those" replies Harvey




"Yes I have a pet owl that I have named MrFrost, that was the only name I could think of at the time" says Harvey a bit embarrased at the name of his pet. But a little surprised at the nickname given to him, but he liked it he didn't mind it at all

Indiana was actually SO happy right now. She was SO happy that she'd gotten into Ravenclaw. Well actually she would've been SO happy if she had got into any house that wasn't Slytherin. With a big smile on her face, she made her way along the Ravenclaw table, she wasn't too sure where to sit. She couldn't see any of her friends anyway. Well that wasn't hard really. Conan was a hufflepuff, and she didn't know if she could sit over there. But maybe she could make some new friends now. It would be easier to find first years right? They were the little people. Indy was actually feeling a little nervous now. She needed some new friends, but all the little people seemed to be in conversations already, and she really didn't want to intrude on any conversations.

"T-Thanks, b-but it is okay." He said and tried very hard to smile instead of looking sad though he was unsure if he succeeded. "H-Hi, my name is Jerrod, Jerrod C-Crawford, t-thanks." He said. "I live in O-Ottery Saint Catchpole." Jerrod said with a nervous look in his face.

This was the first time someone actually "defended" Jerrod even though he didn't felt offended. But someone actually stood up for him. Jerrod seriously pondered if he wasn't dreaming.

Aurora glanced over and saw a young girl about the same age as her. "hi, I'm Aurora. What's your name?"

Cael was nearly certain that Elliot's father ruled her family with an iron grip. It wasn't unheard of in their word, of course, but Cael hoped that his future partner would want equal say in their state of their affairs.

"Of course it's more than ok," Cael admonished with a wagging finger. "I can sense just as much Slytherin intellect in you as in me, perhaps more so. The difference between us and them is that we have the intelligence to keep our mouths shut and not go blabbing about Mudblood prejudices and the like. I daresay that makes us even more formidable in the end."

Cael laughed at the serious expression on Elliot's face as she stated her greatness, "If only we all were so assured of our own," Cael smiled, finding the perfect way to spin her next statement back upon her; how he loved witty banter.

"Then I suppose it's a good thing I've been complimenting you all night," he smirked, "but alas, let me know when I've earned one, hmm?" he glanced over the rim of his goblet with a mischievious twinkle as he sipped at his pumpkin juice.

"Excellent," Cael smiled, "It would be a terrible shame to have to stay cooped up inside the castle with naught but the ghosts for company and we have plenty of spare guest rooms that could do with some occupation," he laughed.

"I, too, love to fly. It's quite thrilling, especially with the scenery as grand as ours it seems. I confess that I am highly anticipating both Transfiguration and Ancient Runes. Hopefully I can fit both of them into my schedule," he traced his lips absentmindedly with the tip of a finger as he considered her favorites, "Have you given any thought to what you'd like to pursue after Hogwarts?"

A pretty girl of about the same age sat down at the table.
"Hello, I'm Scott Rowe. What's your name?" He politely asked her.

Harvey saw a girl his age and decided to introduce himself

"Hi my name is Harvey" he said hesitantly "What is your name?"

After visiting with her Gryffindor friends, Jayden finally returned back to her respective table. Sitting in between Erin and Surya.. she began to grow bored... taking out her wand she flicked it around lazily casting a locomotor charm on her recently scourgified eating utensils, making them dance in the air, as a form of entertainment....

Presley poured herself a glass of juice and took a sip. "I' just having a great day, how about you?" Presley responded happily.

It's okay? Presley thought about that for a second. What if he was upset that she just did that? Some people hated when others fought thier battles. Well, she'd already done it, and there was nothing she could change now. So she smiled again. "I't very nice to meet you Jerrod. So, are your parents both magical?" It seemed to be so rare an occurence here at Hogwarts, that she had to ask. Not that Presley was ever the type to think less of someone because of their lineage, her own mother had been a muggle. She was just curious. Her favorites were the kids who were purely muggle descent. Because it was cute how fascinated they were with everything. And they never lost that. Living in Ottery St. Catchpole though, meant he was probably of wizarding descent.

Aurora glanced over to see a girl making her utensils dance. She exclaimed, "Wow! that is so cool!" and then put a hand over her mouth, "Sorry, didn't mean to shout."

Jezabel had never known a person to smile so much as the cheerful Scott, but that wasn't really surprising since she came from a family of Slytherins - self-explanitory there. She smiled back. "So what would you consider as a career?"


"Well, it's ..." Jezabel paused. How could she describe it? It wasn't always simple, but nothing ever seemed to require much work to complete. "It's very easy when you're used to it," she explained. "It's probably the same for you. If you saw my house you'd probably think it was marvellous, but to me, it's just normal, and probably vice-veras. But magic is very complicated - probably more so than electricity." She smiled. "Do you like it so far?"


"Six," grinned Jezabel. "Four brothers and two sisters. I'm the sixth in the family, and sixth at Hogwarts. My three oldest brothers and one sister are already out of Hogwarts, my sister Cassandra is in fourth year, and my little brother Than is only nine." Jezabel wrinkled her nose. "All my family except for my third eldest brother Keegan, and yours truly, were Sorted into Slytherin. I hope Than is in Ravenclaw - Keegan was a Gryffindor. My whole family are purebloods, and most are stuck-up gits." She winked at Aurora. "I hope I'm not! So, what're your family like?"


Jezabel laughed. "Do I ever! Six of them, four brothers and two sisters and we all have to share the one bathroom! Most of my family are pureblood-mad, and completely cracked to boot, if you'll believe me! Except maybe my brothers Keegan and Than. They're okay, I suppose."
'Note to self,' Jezabel thought, 'stay away from subject of family ties.'
"Can I see your wand?" she asked. "I love wandlore, I want to be a wandmaker when I leave Hogwarts! What do you want to be?"


"Hmm, I suppose you're right," mused Jezabel regretfully. "But Ancient Runes and Arithmancy sound good if you're into challenges. I read the books on the train. Care of Magical Creatures sounds fantastic!"


"Hello!" Jezabel greeted the new student. "Welcome to Ravenclaw! I'm Jezabel Black." She reached over the table to shake the girl's hand. "What's your name?"

''Okay thanks glad your having a good day Pres! Have you seen Rachel I saw her at kings cross with her dad but never since,'' honestly she wasn't as close to Rachel anymore she hardly ever saw her and they didn't have any proper conversations anymore it annoyed her!!!

''I can't wait toget to the common room!!! or the girls dorm!'' it was going to be diffrent this year she didn't mind change but she was sure there was more first year Ravenclaw's this year

Jerrod replied her smile with a weaker smile.
"I-It's v-very nice to meet y-you too, P-Presley." He said.
"Y-Yes both my parents are w-wizards." He said with an anxious expression.

"Thank you! My sister uses it a lot at her job... she works at St. Mungos. It's totally fine... I don't think anyone noticed your shouting too much." Jayden said giggling. "My name's Jayden... what's yours?"

Ooh. Someone was talking to her. Indiana smiled at the girl. Yey. She was going to make a new friend that was nice. "Ooh. Thats a pretty name." The newly sorted Ravenclaw nodded with a smile. All of her friends had pretty names. She really liked it. "I'm Indiana. Indiana Hutchinson." Oh. This was so much fun. She was really liking Hogwarts already, and it was only the first day.

"Hello." Indiana smiled as she glanced at a boy who was sat beside her. She hadn't made many male friends yet, so maybe she needed some more male friends. "I'm Indiana Hutchinson." She nodded with a smile, just as she noticed the cutlery. "Wow...that fork is really dirty." She mused pointing at it. Didn't people wash the cutlery at Hogwarts? That was really bad.

"Hello." Indiana smiled, as another boy spoke to her. She was making friends already, which made her happy. She wasn't going to be alone all the time now, which was really good. She wanted to have lots of friends here at Hogwarts. Just like her brother. "I'm Indiana."
