Eat, drink, and be merry, O Eagles. Classes begin again tomorrow.

The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

~~And what's this? The silverware is tarnished and askew, almost as if thrust on the table willy-nilly. Take a seat and search for a clean spoon while the Sorting Hat ceremony commences.~~ The House Elves have done their clean up work quickly and effectively, and the silverware and dishes are now set to right.

MJ liked that no one had noticed her sneak on to the end of the table; and that they were busy chatting when she was Sorted. She'd had time to listen to peoples' names and get used to the table.
There were so many people, she didn't know who to talk to first!! She took a deep breath and made a wild grab at talking to the girl next to her, who also wasn't chatting with anyone, although she'd heard her say her name was Temperance. "Hey, I'm MJ! Oh wow, that's the Hogwarts Express!! You're really talented!!" As usual, MJ came across as quite confident. Usually she preferred it that way - that no one could see her fear or nerves; but just sometimes, she wished that someone would spot it.

Jezabel glanced at the newcomer. She looked quite nice, and really confident. But there was something in her eyes that betrayed her shy nature.
Jezabel knew these things, partly because she used the confidence technique herself. Call it a habit.
"Hey!" she said. "I'm Jezabel. MJ's a cool name, I wish mine was as sophisticated as that!"

Jezabel was seriously starting to feel hunger pangs now, so she took out her wand and started tapping it on the table to take her mind off it.

Scott listened intently on everything she had to say, and nodded along. He laughed at the end, it was an amusing story after all.
"I haven't spoken to any of them yet, I think I'm going to wait until lessons to meet them" He responded.

Then he turned towards the other girl, Jezabel Black.
"H-Hi, y-yes I am very happy to f-finally be here at H-Hogwarts." He said with a worried look in his face.

Do you have a pet?"

"It was a bit of a shock, I'd never seen an owl before, not properly anyway. We don't use them. When we send letters we stick a stamp on an addressed envelope and put them in a postbox. Electricity. Now that was more difficult to explain. To Olivia it was just something that had been there all her life. In school she'd learnt about watts and stuff, and how some metals conducted electricity. They'd done experiments where they had to make their own circuits, but they hadn't learnt much more. It was something they did in secondary school, somewhere she would no longer be going.

"Electricity is difficult to explain. I only really learnt about circuits and stuff at school. It's like you turn on a switch and there's wires made of metal that conduct the electricity and then the light or whatever switches on."

Maybe if she wrote home her parents could send her work and information that'd she'd be learning if she wasn't here.

The cuff of Scott's robes caught on fire.

"Lovely, that's a long wand you got there." He said happily.
When she flicked her wand the cuffs of his robes caught fire, and he immediately dipped them in his drink to soak the flames.
"Don't worry" Scott said reassuringly. "Everyone makes mistakes" He smiled.

Jerrods face heavily changed from being glad to sad when she mentioned his stuttering which was a result of the bullying he had suffered. His eyes started become wet. "I-I.. N-Noth-Nothing." He quietly said and a tear fell. He quickly wiped it off and pretended like nothing.

Presley sat down next to Luna, with the biggest grin stretching across her face. Hogwarts was definitely the best birthday present any kid could hope for. "Hey, Lu? Will you pass the apple juice?" However before filling her plate, Presley noticed one firstie making fun of another. She narrowed her eyes at the girl. "Leave him alone. She smiled. Mistakes are always fine. "Well, I think the Potions will be at the Dungeons and Herbology at the greenhouse." she suggested. Yeah, well that is based on the information her Aunt Bel had told her.

Beezus noticed the dashingly change of expression upon Jerrod's face , he kept on stuttering and all of a sudden, he was sobbing !

Beatrice ! What the hell did you do ? she scolded herself. Beezus then immediately pulled a handkerchief from her pocket and gave it to him, "I'm sorry. Did I say something wrong ? I didn't mean it." she said apologetically ..

Electricity. Now that was more difficult to explain. To Olivia it was just something that had been there all her life. In school she'd learnt about watts and stuff, and how some metals conducted electricity. They'd done experiments where they had to make their own circuits, but they hadn't learnt much more. It was something they did in secondary school, somewhere she would no longer be going.

"Electricity is difficult to explain. I only really learnt about circuits and stuff at school. It's like you turn on a switch and there's wires made of metal that conduct the electricity and then the light or whatever switches on."

Maybe if she wrote home her parents could send her work and information that'd she'd be learning if she wasn't here.

"Wow!" Jezabel's eyes were as wide as the dinner plates. She lent her elbows on the table. "So is that how a television works? And a car? That's amazing!" How Muggles survived without magic, she just didn't know - but she was sure trying! "I've heard your sweets are different too." She suppressed a shudder. "No Chocolate Frogs!"

Beatrice ! What the hell did you do ? she scolded herself. Beezus then immediately pulled a handkerchief from her pocket and gave it to him, "I'm sorry. Did I say something wrong ? I didn't mean it." she said apologetically ..

Surya was sitting beside Jerrod watching the show. But once Jerrod started sobbing he could not help interrupting. "Excuse me, my name is Surya. can i know why are you crying? This is Hogwarts and i have been waiting for years to come here and you are crying in a place like this!!!"
