Jezabel looked around and spotted a girl sitting near her. She was looking almost wistfully at the Gryffindor table, like she'd wanted to be there instead.
"Hello," Jezabel smiled. "I'm Jezabel. Who're you?"
The words went skipping out of her mouth before she realised how blatant they sounded.

"It's great!" enthused Jezabel, realising she could talk more openly about stuff like that, rather than what other people were wearing. Typical. "I always knew I'd be in Ravenclaw because I love reading and stuff. What about you? Were you thinking of another House, or did you always want Ravenclaw?"

Well, she did miss the friends she made on Diagon Alley ..
"Quidditch ultimately. And Potions too. How about you Scott ?" she asked back. By the way, "Why did you leave immediately on Diagon Alley ?"

More friends ! *chu* *chu*
"You know Jez, you really shouldn't all be shy .. "she told her. That was right, definitely ..It's really great to have a lot of friends ..

She was err .. a little surprised when he asked about her nickname. Grinning she replied, "Well, my real name is Beatrice. Beezus is a nickname my late sister gave to me. She uhm .. coudn't speak my name too well , that's why,"

She was having fun now, but just don't remind her of her sister.. It won't be so good.

Jezabel was glad Scott was polite enough not to tell her to shut up with her gabbling, like her family usually did. Although her name seemed to have raised an eyebrow. What else was new? "Jezabel's a crappy name," she sighed. "Family heirloom, like that disgusting old teapot we keep around at home. But," her voice brightened, "I can't wait for lessons tomorrow! Especially Transfiguration! I have to get my hands on a spell to turn people into teacups, and get revenge on my sisters ..."

"Hi, Lily!" Jezabel found herself to be almost back to her usual self again. "I'm Jezabel!" She noticed the girl looked a bit nervous, so she tried not to be so excitable. "What do you think of Hogwarts so far?"

"Really looking forward to Defence Against The Dark Arts, as I've always been keen on combat, and it sounds fun, but I know it can be dangerous"

"My parents are a bit overprotective, they wanted me back by a certain time or they would purposely ground me for a week or so." He said, feeling guilty.
"I wish I could of stayed longer, but I know they only care."


"I like it" Scott said, hoping to sound reassuring.
"Me too, I'm so excited!" He smiled. "Revenge eh, I know what you mean" Scott laughed.

"Oh, I know," sighed Jezabel. "That's what my family always say." She adopted a snappish parental tone that sounded uncannily like her mother. "'Jezabel, get your nose out of that book and go make some friends!'" She switched back to her normal voice. "Of course my parents prefer pureblood friends, but they can't exactly monitor me now, right?" She grinned mischievously, then quickly smothered it.

"You'll be the first," laughed Jezabel. "But I shouldn't really complain - you should here my siblings' names! Horrible!" She involuntarily winced. "And what do you know of revenge?" she teased. "Had some yourself?"

"Well for me any house other than Slytherin was good for me" Harvey said ""What classes are you going to be taking this year"




"Oh I'm sorry to hear about that" Harvey said desperately trying to think of something to take her mind off her sister "What classes are you going to be taking this year" He says quickly

DADA eh ? That one's also a very interesting subject. "Well, basically I'm looking forward to all the subjects we'll be having." she remarked, which was true. She couldn't wait till tomorrow when the classes will start.


"But now Scott, you are in Hogwarts so no one would ground you. In that aspect, I can expect that you won't be running all of a sudden again, won't I?" she asked, chuckling.

A pureblood ? Beezus was not one, but good thing Jezabel was just friendly and it shows. "Well, I am not a pureblood you see. But I do hope you won't reject me as a friend. "

Her sister. She was remembering her again. But a little while, Harvey talked to some other things. "Well, I don't really think we can choose what subjects we'd like to take, isn't that just allowed when you're in Second year ?" she answered, and as well as ask ..

She really wasn't that informative about the whole school and all. But maybe in time she would get accustomed to the environment..

"I guess we have to take all the classes, right? But I love wandlore - it's so interesting! - so I guess anything connected to that. And Care of Magical Creatures." She thought wistfully of her poor cat, locked away in a cage somewhere. "I love animals. My kitten, Rowena, is what you might call ... unique."

"Oh ok. I don't know, I knew I should have read up on this stuff" Harvey said "I guess we will know after our classes start




"Oh ok I guess" Harvey said kicking himself for not knowing this "How does it feel to be here?"

"No way!" Jezabel couldn't keep an indignant sharpness out of her voice. She softened slightly. "Sorry. But my pureblood-maniacal family are a bunch of Doxys, I swear. Well," she added, after a moment's thought. "Not all. My brothers Keegan and Than are okay, I suppose. Keegan was in Gryffindor. I remember Mum and Dad getting the owl saying he'd been Sorted. They went nuts." Her face fell as she realised what was in store for her when her owl arrived back home. "Blimey, they won't be half furious when they hear I wasn't Sorted into Slytherin."

Evangeline glanced up as another first year joined the table. With a start she realised she knew this first year, it was Scott from Diagon Alley.

"Hey Scott," She said waving at him as he approached."I told you you'd be in Ravenclaw," She said slightly smug, she'd seen the qualities in him and she couldnt see where he would benefit in another house. "How are you?" She asked. The last time she'd seen him, he had left unexpectantly.

"Hmm ... one word: Freedom!" It was all Jezabel could do not to punch the air as she said it. "No more pushy brothers! No more annoying sisters! No more wailing parents moaning to you about how you should be continuing the pureblood line! Pure freedom," she concluded.
"So, what about you?" said Jezabel, calming down. "Any classes you enjoy?"

Yeah.That was it. Harvey didn't know either. So, maybe she won't be asked to take Divination and Arithmancy ? Hope so ! Beezus really doesn't like those two. "Right !" nodding, she said, "Do you have a pet Harv ?"

Harv. Beezus was really fond of making nicknames for most her friends. Hopefully, Harvey won't get mad.

She was talking so much now. That's great ! Jezabel feeling much more comfortable. "Do they want you badly in Slytherin then ?" she asked. The thought just wasn't justifying. Parents wanting their children to choose friends and even houses ?

At least my mom wasn't all this bad, she thought.

"I can imagine" Scott said and chuckled.

"Only on my cousins, foul people they are." He said. This was suppose to be playful but his hatred of them was coming through. Immature little rats.

"Me too" Scott agreed "I'm really not gonna be able to sleep tonight." He chuckled.

"I hope not, unless I'm late for classes!" He laughed along.


A familiar face showed and Scott immediately knew who it was.
"Looks like you were right" he laughed. "Hello Evangeline, it's nice to see you again" he smiled.
"I'm good thanks, really excited about classes tomorrow!" He said enthusiastically.
He then apologized "Sorry about my disappearance in Diagon Alley, I was in a rush you see" He smiled warmly.

"I don't think so," frowned Jezabel. "It's just my parents ... they're kind of abnormal in that way, I guess." As usual, talking about her oh-so-lovely family was weird, partly because she mostly hated they're guts. Mostly - not all. "I bet your family's nicer than mine," she continued. "Actually, that's a given."

"Yeah. Well, I wonder why what's taking the food so long to arrive ." she commented. Beatrice was now very hungry. She didn't ate a lot on the train for she got unto a scene with Simon.

"Maybe, maybe not." Beezus didn't know what else to say. She didn't want to say anything about Jezabel's family for hers is not in good terms as well.
"My family ? You have got to be kidding me." was all she was able to mumble. There are some things left untouched.

Jezabel could tell Beezus didn't want to talk about her family - it was a feeling Jezabel herself had a lot. "I hope the food comes soon," she said, trying to lighten the mood. "I'm so hungry!" She glanced up at the staff table. "I wonder what our teachers will be like."

Jezabel caught the hatred in Scott's voice. "I hear you," she said sympathetically. "My cousins are pains too." She made a face. "And guess who has to look after the little ones! Although after that episode with the toilet last Christmas, I probably won't be on baby-sitting duty for a while ..."
Ah, sweet memories.

Better. Jezabel herself had laid off from that conversation about families. "I am really hungry too ! I haven't eaten since the train pulled up from the station." she said. her stomach was starting to pain now.

"Well, you know..They say that the teachers have various personalities so those will be exhibited to us tomorrow." Yes. Tomorrow. Classes would start and Beezus is utterly excited .

Olivia walked over to the Ravenclaw table and sat down. She didn't recognise anyone, the people she had met on the train must be in different houses. From a quick scan of the table she decided that Ravenclaws looked like a friendly bunch but she knew from experience that that wasn't always the case.

Still she had her home for the next seven years of her life and that was enough to make her happy for now.

Scott nodded to her first sentence, and felt more comfortable they were in the same boat.
"Toilet?" Scott said, puzzled. "That sounds amusing" he smiled.

"Yeah I'm seriously hungry now" His stomach was really starting to hurt.
"I wonder what the common room looks like" Scott said in a trance-like state.
He abruptly said "What's your wand like? Mine is: 12.2 inch, Apple wood, Unicorn Hair, Bendy."
"I love it"

"Hello," smiled Jezabel, noticing a newcomer to the table. "I'm Jezabel. What's your name?" She laughed. "Bet it's something nice and cheerful - not like mine!" She made a face. "Jezabel - what were my parents thinking?!"
Her brother couldn't say she wasn't trying to be social, at least.

"That's makes two of us !" What was taking the food so long anyway ?
The common room ? Well, "I think it would be more like having a blue atmosphere." she suggested. Blue, of course.. The color of the House, what else ?
"My wand's an 11.8 inch Birch wood wand with the core of a Unicorn hair, rather twirly too." she said. Oh, she wanted to talk about wands too. "Did you get your wand on your first try ?"

"Oh, it was." Jezabel started giggling like a little kid as she remembered. "My cousin Regulus decided it would be amusing to drop a few Weasley's Wizard Wheezes firecrackers down the loo - you know the ones? Those absolutely huge ones that really shouldn't be sold to kids under thirteen? Well, his sisters crowded around, the idiots, while Regulus dropped the bombshell. It was utter carnage. The whole bathroom wall as ripped off, and Regulus and his sisters were covered in things unspeakable in present company." Jezabel made a face. "Of course, it was all my fault. But then," she laughed again, "it was worth it. They haven't been back since, thank Merlin."
Jezabel stared down the table at the rest of the Ravenclaws, up at the staff table, and back to Scott. "So, what do you think of the teachers? I can't wait for Herbology - Professor Bentley is really nice!"
Jezabel was seriously starting to feel hunger pangs now, so she took out her wand and started tapping it on the table to take her mind off it.

MJ was perched right at the end of the table, trying to keep out of sight. Usually, she could completely hide her insecurities and nerves, but she'd been seriously taken control of by it this time. She'd noticed so many people introducing themselves in the First Year end of the table. She spotted Annabeth and Harvey from the train compartment. She'd heard Jezebel and Beezus talking and thought they sounded like girls she could really get on with. Jezebel sounded just like her with books! And both had some family issues too, like MJ. She thought that Aurora seemed nice too, and Gaby and Erin, who seemed to know each other. And Valeria and Jayden.
She'd also seen a Prefect, who she'd heard called Ivory. She was glad she knew who a prefect was, as she was so scared that she wouldn't know who to ask for help from!
And she'd caught a brief glimpse of Ravenclaw's Quidditch Captain and what looked like the beginnings of a romance between two Purebloods who hated the state of the silverware.
MJ liked that no one had noticed her sneak on to the end of the table; and that they were busy chatting when she was Sorted. She'd had time to listen to peoples' names and get used to the table.
There were so many people, she didn't know who to talk to first!! She took a deep breath and made a wild grab at talking to the girl next to her, who also wasn't chatting with anyone, although she'd heard her say her name was Temperance. "Hey, I'm MJ! Oh wow, that's the Hogwarts Express!! You're really talented!!" As usual, MJ came across as quite confident. Usually she preferred it that way - that no one could see her fear or nerves; but just sometimes, she wished that someone would spot it.

Jerrod walked over to the Ravenclaw table and sat down. He nervously looked at the Ravenclaw members, everyone looked very smart and friendly.

"H-Hello, my n-name is Jerrod, Jerrod C-Crawford." He nervously said to the nearest Ravenclaw students.
