He frowned as he looked her up and down, "You look a bit tired, is anything wrong? I can be a surprisingly good listener when I'm not being annoying," he laughed, slightly worried.

"Oh yes, it's ravishing," he smiled. "Oh I am sooo looking forward to it. Do you think we could paint each other's nails and practice french-braiding?" he asked dryly.

Jezabel leaned over the table, gingerly avoiding the dirty cutlery. "Hello." She smiled and held out her hand. "I'm Jezabel. Hogwarts is great, isn't it? Apparently, something really weird happened last term - I hope it happens again!" Always the one to plunge headlong into Merlin-knew-where.

"No, just a bit tired and homesick is all..." She answered with a yawn. "And as far as annoying, you're just too cute to be mad or annoyed with for too long." She blurted out, and immediately started blushing.. "Ugh. I wasn't supposed to say that..." she thought to herself. "He's not supposed to know that I find him attractive..."

"Yeah! I have this perfectly sparkly pink that would look excellent with your eyes." Faina grinned, "but my french braiding is horrible! Plus I don't like the way it looks on me!" She wrinkled her nose. "And I prefer black nail polish." Faina sighed, "It seems that our girls night sleepover is ruined."

Rory's eyes lit up a little bit when he heard that the boy was also a first year. "Awesome!" he shouted out. Though, he quickly closed his mouth, feeling that he had shouted a little too loud. Mother would not be impressed if she were around. No siree! "Yes, I'm a first year, too."

And then, Rory had completely remembered his pranks. How could he have forgotten? He was at school and the chances of anyone noticing it was him would be slim. Hmm...wait, no. Not now. Not yet. Focus!

"So, how do you like it here so far? Do you have any siblings?" he asked in a polite manner as he reached over for a bowl of pudding to indulge in.

Conan was tired of being at the Hufflepuff table. Treyen had, well disappeared. And all his other friends were in other houses. Which sucked. He had even seen Indy sorted into Ravenclaw. Which was even worse. With a sigh he picked up his book and headed towards the Ravenclaw table.

"Ellie," he sighed again. "You didn't come visit me."

... it wasn't working. Staying away from her house's table at the opening feast didn't work. She needed to find someone and sit with to distract herself from accidentally looking around and seeing-

"ENYA!" A very back pick for the start of the school year considering... well considering everything this girl represents in Louisa's life but it was a perfect time for them to meet. Louisa ran forward and flopped herself next to the girl, leaning in and face her avoiding eye contact with everyone at the table... in case the 'he' was close. "Why do you think our stuff are rusty?" She asked at once without any other casual or friendly words. The issue worried Louisa- where the house-elves doing a riot or something? Who would take care of the students if it was true? Louisa was a crappy girl when it came to cleaning and tidying up.

"But it seems our punk rocker sleepover is just beginning!" Cael laughed thinking about Faina's love for black nail polish.

Elliot quickly shook her head. "No, I definitely don't agree with all the pureblood stuff, but I am quite proud of my heritage," she replied, not being entirely truthful. She didn't have a problem with...muggleborns...but...she was extremely-overly proud of her pure blood.

"And I suppose we are a bit more clever. Obviously. And I am not really a trouble-maker...I love rules, they were made for a reason. For order in a society, we need rules, or else hooligans would all run around and cause absolute chaos." Elliot said, rather thinking aloud than anything.

Perhaps he had earned one. However, Elliot wasn't going to say so. She took out her green handkerchief(it had a silver S on it) and was about to wipe her goblet off so she could have a sip of drink, but spotted what the gift from her father actually had on it. Her heart sank at the sigh of silver S. She folded it up neatly and placed it back into her pocket. She sighed..."Better get another one," she muttered. Her father had just been so certain. She was his favorite child; she was the most like him. She didn't want to think about him hearing that his little girl had become a 'Claw. Sigh.

"Enough about me. Tell me some interesting things about yourself. I truly talk about myself entirely too much. I know I'm just so interesting and all, but really it is quite rude of me." Was Elliot actually being jest-ful? If so, one couldn't tell. But she had a little sparkle in her eyes that told the truth; Elliot, the icey pureblood, could actually be sarcastic and joking. Wow. Her mother would be proud.


"Well...my father wanted me to be in his house, Slytherin. He's going to be REALLY unhappy about it all..." she muttered back, picking at the end of her new school-robe sleeve with anxiety. "Are you? You seem excited. Lucky," her voice was gliding along with envy. She wished she could be happy about her house. But she was already finding a lot of really..."awesome" people in her house. It was making this a bit better.

"How was the rest of your summer?"

Damon was shocked at the amount of students that were here this term but yet it pleased him because it proved how much Hogwarts was so popular and made him more hopeful that something good would come out of all this. Damon was so hungry he was ready to go to the kitchens at a moments notice if he could help it, but he was attempting to be patient..

Philip sighed. "Enjoy your cupcake, darling.. It's nothing."He said quietly, smiling weakly at Danielle.

Dani put the cake down and watched him through concerned eyes- "Babe, it's something. You can talk to me" she said reassuringly as she moved to take his hands in hers, gently squeezing them.

On the other side of the table, there was another girl who leaned over to talk to him. Apparently, her name was Jezabel and she, too, was another first year and he knew this because he definitely remembered seeing her during the sorting. Immediately she held out her hand and began rushing through some words Rory did not catch. Hogwarts, weird, last term...what? Rory politely shook her hand and nodded, smiling back at her. "Ohh, yes. It's great. And weird. I was not here last term." That last part was said completely by accident and Rory wished he could take it back. It seemed a bit rude. "But it's very nice to meet you, Jezabel. I'm Rory. Rory Winchester."

"Hey Chelsea!" Temperance says as she looks up from her drawing. "Thanks! The coloring of the train gave me some trouble but I think I got it right. Yep, You got into Slytherin I see. Congrats."

"Would they do that?" Dallin's eyes widened at Ivory's idea. Strike? Now Dal didn't know much about house elves, but when he did know what that they always wanted to help. Well, usually. But strike? That was just crazy. He took another look at the silverware. On second thought, a house elf strike would make sense.

Pursing his lips, he turned a little to face Ivory. "It would... kind of be a problem if they did go on strike." Yes, he was seriously thinking about this. Feel free to tell him to shut up. "Because, I mean, who would make food and stuff? Cleaning and whatever wouldn't be a problem. But food..." They couldn't all just eat in the kitchen!

"Maybe someone will explain it," he said with a small nod. Then he wouldn't have to worry about it.

Philip shook his head. "No, It's nothing baby.. I'm just worrying about having to leave.." He sighed.

Jezabel's point had certainly not been made. She sighed, and made a mental note to talk loader in future. "Nice to meet you, Rory," she said.
Great conversation starter.

Jezabel giggled. "Aren't we all! I'm Jezabel, what's your name?"

Daniel was having a nice day. He'd said goodbye to Barry the night before, as Barry had work commitments meaning he hadn't had to endure him at the station, just his sister and father who were both decently cool.Then on the train, for once he'd been left alone to enjoy some reading, though he wouldn't tell anyone that. Leisure reading was uncool.

Daniel strode into the hall, alone as always. He hadn't had many friends and doubted they were here to greet him so he made his way to an empty seat, not caring who it was next to, before pretending to interest himself looking at the staff table. Bring on the food!

...okay so Enya was so busy at glaring at people, Louisa didn't just flop her body next to her best friend to stare at her mutely! The girl was about to start one of their famous arguments when she felt someone sitting next to her and on her robes!=O Louisa grabbed the clothes and jerked it from under the boy without even considering that he might fall backward or anything. He sat recklessly, it wasn't her fault. Besides, she was about to argue with her best friend! He distracted her from a very important moment in her life.

While Jayden was people watching, she noticed a boy hanging around all by himself.. "Hey there!" Jayden introduced herself. "Come sit with me..." She said as she flashed him her trademark smile.

Eris looked around the table with "suspicious" practically plastered on her forehead as she sat down at the end of the Ravenclaw table.

her alert face seemed to falter back to a relaxed one, it seemed people from other houses could indeed sit at other tables.

Jezabel glanced around, feeling distinctly bored. Her friends were all otherwise engaged, and she really didn't feel like eating. She took out her wand, slid a book from her shoulder-bag, and flicked through the pages. This spell looked good.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" she cried, flicking her wand in the general direction of her goblet. To her astonishment, the goblet rose up into the air! She kept her wand trained on it, a feeling of elation coming through the initial shock. She was doing magic!

"Hmm... I have the perfect charcoal for your eyes. And i might have some extra hair dye." Faina said, showing him the teal streaks in her hair.
