Feeling almost defeated, a strange feeling to be considering it was the end of what had been an amazing term for the NOW fifth year, Kurumi pushed open the door to the prefect compartment and was surprised to see that she was the first one there. How ironic considering she was the last one to enter it at the beginning of the term.

Leaving the door ajar, Kurumi flopped down on the seat nearest the window and looked out at Hogwarts in the distance. The school was never going to feel the same again...

It seemed like the night before had gone by too quickly once she had entered the common room, and before she knew it, she was standing in front of the prefects compartment on the train ride home. This failed horribly. There were no tears from her though. Just mounds of sad and depressed feelings. Sighing heavily, she ran her hands through her dark hair, opting to go with the straight look today, as she turned her gaze to her cat who was sitting right on top of her luggage. Poof apparently found other things interesting though; like licking her paw.

Picking up the black and silver kitty, she opened the door the rest of the way and shoved her luggage inside with her foot. OH! Person was in there. Cookie Gi- "Kurumi." she called, poking her luggage again with her foot. "Give me a hand?" Her own hands were full. OF CAT!

Kurumi's attention had been so focused on the castle in the distance that she hadn't notice Walnut curl up in a ball beside her - nor did she hear the thumping and clunking of a trunk down the corridor. Her head only turned when she heard her name being called and was both happy and sad to see Cookie Hat--- Evelyn standing there.

That is...until she saw the kitty sitting on top of her luggage.

"Of course!" Kurumi chirped as she jumped to her feet and...grabbed the kitty from the top of the luggage, scratching it behind its ears. There, now she could kick her luggage more freely. That is what she had wanted to do, right?

For some reason hauling his stuff from the Slytherin Common Room was tougher this time around, as it seemed to have gotten extraordinarily heavy. Sure he had to clear out all his stuff-- at least the ones he didnt mind leaving behind, like most of his books and half his school supplies-- but it was just sooooo hard to lift it up and get it moving, even when he has mastered these spells for years.

Perhaps it wasnt his stuff that were heavy, but his heart.

After the long trek to the baggage compartment Head Boy Salander finally made his way towards the Prefects Compartment, just in time to see Evelyn make her way in. So thats what it looks like when one actually takes back all their belongings over 7 terms. His hand brushes over his messenger bag. Other than that one item being new (and from Transfig class natch), he looked pretty much the same as when he started for Hogwarts 4 terms ago.

Now he was leaving. Permanently.

He caught the door from sliding shut and followed in quietly.

Grinning, she waited for Kurumi to perhaps scootch her luggage in a little more, but, no. No, she took the cat. "Wha..." Whatever. Poof seemed to be alright, and purring as she continued licking her paw, so...whatever. Muttering a thanks, Evelyn dropped her arms to her side and sighed as she grabbed her luggage, but after a moment of tugging, she went back to using her feet. There may have been a few kicks to get emotions out too, but finally she flopped down on one of the seats, just as Salander walked in.

Quietly.

It was rather quiet now.

Not that Evelyn minded. Having a quiet ride back to London sounded rather nice. There was people to avoid anyhow, and she wasn't moving from this spot in this compartment-

WALNUT!

Snuggling the cat in her arms, Kurumi returned to her seat only to find that Walnut was rather displeased with this new feline and began swishing his tail. "We aren't in the common room now," Kurumi laughed as she reached to pet her cat behind the ears, but he swatted her hand away. "You can't play the King of the Gryffindors role here."

Clearly aggitated, Walnut jumped off the seat and began to waddle towards the one opposite his mistress when... HIS ROSE PRINCESS APPEARED! Purring like a motorboat, he strutted over to her and began rubbing up against her leg. HA! Take that evil Headmaster! She was HIS!

Rolling her eyes, Kurumi sort of smile-frowned when Salander walked in looking...really sad. Her hand flew to her wrist where the charm bracelet he had given her at the feast was and felt her bottom lip quiver. But, she couldn't cry again, it would only make things harder on the two of them, right? She owed them both so much this term.

"H-Hey, Salander!" she squeaked with forced cheer.

She was going HOOOOME!!!

She was also completely aware that the majority of this compartment wouldn't be returning next year, and there would be a generally depressed atmosphere, but Ellie didn't care. It couldn't dampen her spirits. Because she was going HOME!

The almost-sixth-year walked in with a small smiling, trying to send some sort of happy vibes around. "Hey guys," she said, as she sat in a corner and curled her legs up beside her. Or...was it goodbye? Hmmm....

"Hello, Ellie," Kurumi smiled waving not her own hand but the little paw of the cat in her arms. It sometimes surprised Kurumi how sweet and gentle Evelyn could be around creatures of the feline variety. Maybe she just had a thing for cats? She had been dating a lion for the longest time now...well...until this term at least. Josh's devastated face in the common room was still etched firmly in the young lion's mind.

"You...um...looking forward to the summer? OH! HOW WERE YOUR OWLS?" she asked, her excitment bubbling up inside. Yep, that was something she was looking forward to next term. Perhaps the only perk about being a fifth year that she was. Come to think of it, she should also be asking about NEWTs...those were in her future as well.

Consider her surprised at the Gryffindor's...welcoming demeanor. It was so different from the beginning of term. Funny how time had that effect on people. Ellie wasn't really effected that same way, actually, but she had to smile at the kitty wave.

And summer. Summer made her smile. "Very much so." ...OWLs? OWLs shouldn't follow summer in any context. Rather, something more appropriate to say would be, 'Thank Merlin the OWLs are over and I have all summer until I have to think studiously again.'

Still, how were her OWLs? "Murder." Really, they were. Ellie was certain they'd almost killed her.

Why was it that Kurumi seemed so excited over them? Really?

Murder?

Well, that certainly wasn't the case considering that Ellie was standing right in front of her. Had the exams grown arms and legs and stolen her wand to attempt to cast the Killing Curse on her, it was clear that they had failed miserably. Which was a good thing because death by OWL would be an odd way to go. OWLs were meant to improve you, not hurt you. Yep.

"Well, you seem to have toppled them," she chirped. "Now you can take the next year to look forward to your NEWTs." Ellie was a Ravenclaw after all. She ought to share Kurumi's love for studying and all that. Her brother who was a Ravenclaw did at least.

"Yeah... Yeah, I guess so." 'Toppled them' might not be true. She definitely felt like they beat her up more than she beat them.

Wait.

Look forward to NEWTs?

Ellie took a moment - or two or three - to stare at Kurumi. Who on Earth would look forward to an exam that's self described as 'Nastily Exhausting'?

The Captain decided it was best to just......not comment. Time for a subject change. "What about you? Looking forward to summer?" It suddenly dawned on her that Kurumi may even be looking forward to her OWLs, but Ellie wasn't going to mention it. Just...NO.

And...this was it, right?

He had so many things to do today, including visiting Brody when he got to London, that Treyen lost track of Arya and decided to step into the compartment without her.

If the camping trip was happening, he'll have to work on not losing her like that, though, otherwise...he'll have Aaron talk to Sabel, no problem there. And, lookit! He was at the compartment in no time, without even noticing he'd arrived.

"Hey everyone." or...everyone that was here, which didn't include his Co-Prefect...but included his favorite Captain, who got a smile, like the rest of the people inside, as he sat beside her.

Hmm...perhaps Kurumi's understanding of Ravenclaws was a bit misguided. Then again, her brother was ridiculously nerdy and put most of the Ravenclaws she knew now to shame. It certainly seemed like Ellie was not all that eager to talk about exams, but this could simply mean that she was tired from all the fun she had had taking them.

Yep. Certainly that was it!

Kurumi's thoughts were interrupted when Ellie asked about her summer and a small smile, along with a faint blush, appeared on her face. "Y-Yes...it's going to be a busy one too. Not too much time spent at home," which is something the lioness always liked. Less time for her mother to complain about the young woman she was growing into.
Kurumi looked up when Treyen entered the compartment and she pretended to shield her eyes from his smile. Yes, some of the effects from it had worn off now, but that was probably for the best. It meant that the two of them were almost back to being completely normal and not awkward. Although, most of the awkward had come from her and not him.

"Hey, Treyen," Kurumi chirped with a small awkward wave. For the time being, she had forgotten the fact that next term it was going to be him who would be graduating and moving on to bigger and, hopefully, better things. She did, however, glace at Evelyn and Salander who were being awfully quiet and probably reflecting on the past seven years of their lives. "

Treyen! "Hi." Hopefully Kurumi won't be asking him if he was 'looking forward' to his NEWTs. Ellie was SOOO done with that subject.

Which was why they were talking about summer. It was always a no-fail topic. Like Quidditch. "Travelling, then? That sounds fun." Travelling was always fun. "Where are you going?" If that wasn't too much to ask or anything...
