 As you enter the office the first of many things that you notice is the warmth that just seems to radiate inside the room, as Professor Scabior likes to keep his office quite cozy, more for his benefit than yours. The burgundy painted walls with the splash of gold here and there seem to contribute to the warmth, as well as probably sparking a rumour that Dash was in fact a Gryffindor. Numerous paintings of famous Historians both Magical and Muggle are hung throughout the office.
To your left is a giant bookcase, filled with books that Dash has collected through the years. Many of the books are filled with information regarding history. His favourite ones include Nature's Nobility: A Wizarding Genealogy, A Guide to Medieval Sorcery, Notable Magical Names of Our Time, The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts, and of course the ever so popular Hogwarts, A History. Maybe if you are lucky you can even spot a book that’s really close to Dash’s heart, one that is in fact his own creation.
Within range of the entrance is small table off to the side, on top of it sits a Wizard’s Chess board. He isn’t too great at it though you are free to challenge him if you wish, just don’t get to upset if he declines. The main component of the office is the large mahogany desk, right at the back. Placed in front of it are two dark brown leather arm chairs which resemble the same style as the black desk chair on the other side. On top of the desk sits a few scattered pieces of parchments with little notes jotted down, an ink bottle and a quill which are pushed off to the side, a small teapot levitating two inches off the desk, and finally a picture frame faced toward him and away from prying eyes.

Yeah, that was true. Of course it was. History was too boring to go for more help.
And...he just called her 'Rock'. Seriously? He was seriously going to do that? Though, for some reason, a small smirk creeped on Ellie's face at the sound of it.
She blinked again. "You're right..." Why did she come, again? "No you're not, I have a reason..." She must have. She wasn't one to visit teachers out of the blue. Not at all.
"So...do I get to call you something, then? Since you've butchered my name? Scab, perhaps?" Yeah, like a healing WOUND. How do you like THAT, Scab? "Well then perhaps you should have finished your sentence. Or do you just think that everyone you speak to automatically know what you are saying because they are skilled Legilimens?" Dash raised a brow. There. A lesson for you kid. Scabior loved to hurl things out at people. Rock was not a first year. She could take it.
"Oh? You do then?" Dash sat up straighter, removing his hand from his face, waiting to see what the girl had come for.
Scab? Dash cleared his throat, before speaking again. Really, he was trying to control the various rude comments that could have left his mouth. "Rock" Yes, he was going to call her that because he was allowed SINCE he was a Professor. "Calling me that would be a nice way to lose a very valuable 50 points from your house." Seeing how Ravenclaw was so close to first place..that just wouldn't be smart.

That was hardly fair. She's SO take House Points from HIM for calling her 'Rock' if she could. He was just abusing his privilege, wasn't he? He just liked that he was a Professor and could get away with that. Most likely.
Now, Ellie didn't care too, too, too, too much about points, but 50 was a lot. Even she had to admit that. That was an entire third of what you get for catching the Snitch. And she was Seeker, she knew the effort that went into catching those buggers and she wasn't going to jeopardize a third of that work for giving him a simple, gross nickname. "What about..." Something nicer. Something much nicer. Something she couldn't think of. Her eyes looked around the office again, for inspiration.
They fell upon the various paintings hanging. "Who are these people?" She might be genuinely interested.

Personally I admire the fact that he stuck up for...creatures that...weren't considered to have rights by many witch and wizards." Goblins, others, ect. That was basically what Dash meant. It actually did..mean something to him. "So, why are you here again?" Enough small talk. Yes.

But all too quickly, Dash became confused. Had she not met him during the first class? He was certain that he had introduced himself to the students. And meeting him wasn't exactly what Dash would deem as...important. "Huh." He replied, bringing his hands together casually. "Well...now that you have met me...?" He trailed off. 'Huh'? Huh. "Is that...is that...weird?" Ellie asked, not looking up. She knew the answer. It WAS weird. It was abnormal. People shouldn't visit their Professors for casual visits. Their offices should only be for question-asking circumstances.
And now that she's met him... "I guess...I guess I could...should...go now?" No, that wasn't a question, but she'll wait for him to respond before standing.

The one that reminded me of class was Amelia Bedelia is the Teacher. She takes the kids to an Apple Orchard and when it says to do a math problem she takes it as the students are to steal apples from each other and it basically goes as crazy as the students did in your room." Minerva thought maybe she sounded stupid so she decided that maybe she should stop. "Well I guess I will leave you alone I don't want to be a pest. Thank you again for the apple."

Alyssa limped into the Professor's office. "Good evening, Professor Scabior. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me."Alyssa greeted the Professor.
She then quickly asked the question that had been on her mind. "After your lesson the other day, I have a question to ask you. With all the stuff that happened in the past, especially during the period when Lord Voldemort caused all that pain and suffering and many people died, why didn't anyone think about using the Time Turner to change some of the events. To prevent certain people from dying especially if they were not killed by the Unforgivable Curse but by some falling object that hit them or fell on them. Couldn't the Time Turner have been used to try to move them out of the way or to warn them?" Alyssa asked the Professor.
Alyssa had a reason for asking that question. Her family had lost someone very important during that period and she was wondering whether the Time Turner could have been used to save him. Even though she never knew her Great Grand-Uncle, she still missed him.

Kurumi was trembling a bit as she entered his office. Professor Scary Face confused her beyond belief. First he would snap at her, then he would grin at her...it was like he had multiple personality disorder or something.
As she opened the door, she took the time to offer him a deep and polite bow before closing the door behind her and approaching his desk. She didn't sit down just yet, it was rude to do so before being asked to. At least, that is what her mother had drilled into her head.
"Thank you for seeing me, Professor," Kurumi said, biting her tongue before she could say any more. She always seemed to say the wrong things in this man's presence, so it was best to just keep as quiet as she could, right?
She stood there, only slightly awkwardly with her turquoise wand holster in her hands as so many thoughts swam around in her head - both from the first lesson and the one that had just ended.

Time traveling is...very dangerous..and very complex and there was far too much fear at that time for any wizards really to wand to deal with something that complex that could make things far worse." It would have been very dangerous indeed, and the person wouldn't know that if by saving somebody, whether someone else who had actually survived the battle, would have died instead because of their actions. Thank you for clearing up that question for me."
Alyssa had often wondered why even though there were people who were in possession of the time turner and were present at the battle, hadn't thought of using it. Now she knew the answer to that question. She had always wanted to ask her Great Grand Aunt, but was now glad that she hadn't.
Alyssa had other questions to ask the Professor but she noticed that the Prefect from Gryffindor had something to say to the Professor in private, so Alyssa decided to leave.
" Thank you for taking the time to answer my question, Professor," Alyssa smiled thanking the Professor and silently made her way out of his office.

Perhaps that...marched the girl a bit more? He wasn't sure.

Sure, this man was brilliant, but Kurumi thought that she would rather be turned into a ferret and tossed around a bit than be compared to him. He was Professor Scary Face and she was the unofficial house elf of Gryffindor tower.

The worst that could happen really, was that he hated it. And even that couldn't be too bad because then he could take points away for the bad suggestion.
At Kurumi's next question Dash paused. "Do you really want me to answer that Miss Hollingberry?" He hadn't expect anyone, never mind a student to ask him that question. "I could ask you the same thing." He noted.

"I could ask you the same thing." He noted. Seeing as he sort of dismissed her tea recommendation, Kurumi fidgeted in her seat a bit wondering if she should have even brought it up. Some people were particular about there hobbies or interests. Still, Kurumi enjoyed a nice cup of green tea at the end of the day as a way to relax.
Kurumi blinked. The more important question was if she wanted to know the answer. Professor Scary Face was probably some double agent dark wizard on the side who at night left the castle to chase down those evildoers who were able to avoid justice and delivering it himself, taking something small as a souvenir and keeping it in a secret box somewhere in his office that only he knew the location of. Still, the lives of professors did interest her since she was seriously considering going into the field herself one day. " If you are willing to share, Professor Scabior," she said with a small nod.
And her? On some sort of dangerous mission? Sometimes she felt like she put the house of Gryffindor to shame.
