The door is closed and locked though the professor is in. Once you knock the professor will allow you to enter. The walls are lined with bookshelves, but on them no books. There are various rare ingredients in jars and bottles. A desk and a chair behind it, books and papers on the desk. There is a workstation with a pyrex cauldron on a burner. There is always something burning. A very uncomfortable chair is set in front of the desk. This makes it hard for a student to spend too much time in her office.

Surely it made him halt and stare back at the Potions Mistress with some widened eyes. He did not know about the pain of hairs being pulled but he was sure that hearing this did hurt...a bit.
Maybe he did not have much chest hair...SO WHAT?
Narrowing his eyes, he took two or three steps closer to the woman instead and leaned in a closer look to her face while balancing himself by putting his hands on her desk.
''Why don't you try that yourself and we will see together if it really hurts?''
Hah!
"Out of my office Master Carter. You have not provided the toll to speak. Leave." For nothing? It was to talk to her... and for her to listen. If he thought she would come close enough to touch the boy's chest hair, he was sorely mistaken. Her wand was suddenly at in her hand, as if it had appeared there. "Leave or else..."

Now the time was for widened eyes.
It was hard to believe that she was actually kicking him out the office. Yet he kept the disappointed expression just for an instant before narrowing his eyes back at her again.
Fine then...still eyeing her, he inched towards the door however once again what she said next made him stop. Or else?
Or else...what?
''You want feathers?'' he exclaimed right before walking to the owl and practically attacking the bird to pluck three feathers. Well...to be exact he was so tense with anger that what he had in his hands was definitely more than three feathers yet he did not count and hastily came back to her desk with the bitter expression. It was too quick for the bird to do more than just some complaining.
He slammed the feathers on her desk, yet realising his mistake the next moment, he arranged them to stand together in one spot. Then reaching for the robe pocket he took the dark rose he had been planning to give her at first place out and placed it on the feathers.
''I just want to say one more thing.'' Hence he had plucked the feathers ''I thought you could guess threatening me...'' he looked down at her wand ''...,especially with a wand, will never work.''
Now it was his time to be out. Still...he remained there for one more minute wondering what she had to say...to that.

Mangig had stayed on the boy's shoulder for all of five seconds after the letter was snatched away and had taken flight around the office once again. The small scops owl zipped around the office looking for an exit when some other boy attempted to attack him. Giggy swerved away from him and crashed into a wall, a few loose feathers falling free. With an indignant hoot, the manic owl quickly righted himself before he could crash into the floor and flew out of the office.
OOC: Please don't attack our owls or play for them.

OOC: Sorry i did not think the owl would be RPed and did not realise it was Mangig. My apologies
Gah!
Josh watched as the owl hit the wall and left the office in a kind of panicky way. Or it looked like that to the boy. Of course the little owl would have panicked. Poor thing.
Once the bird was out, Josh moved his gaze back at Lafay. Yelling at the bird, huh? What did it do anyway? Apparently the woman had started a rather restless term this year.
''I have nothing else left to say.''
Yet. Just for now.
''Good day.''
See...woman. You threatened the boy yet he was wishing you a good day!! And he had no doubt that she was going to burn the dark rose the moment he escaped the office.
So, with a quick nod, the Gryffindor walked out the Potions Mistress' Office.

"WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE WASTING MY TIME!!!" She said frustrated to the shutting door.
Oh Merlin, she HATED children...
She peeked out the door and saw the next kids.
"You two!" She said angry. "In, Now."
" Thank you for seeing me" Willaim told the professor. " There is a boy who hit his head at the swimming pond and waterfall" William said to the professor. " He seems really hurt and none of the seventh years helped him because of their pool party" Willaim explained to the professor.

When did she get in there already? Didn't they leave to the castle before Lafay?
Glancing in alarm towards Marilyn, Evelyn took a deep breathe and shook her head. If these were their final moments, then she was going to keep her head up high and full of confidence. None of this nervous attitude. She was pretty sure their head of house could smell fear. Walking into the office, the Slytherin pretty much looked everywhere BUT Lafay as she slightly moved towards the side of the office, her gaze finally landing on the Professor's desk.
Sorta...safe. Hmmm. Was that rule about having three owl feathers to talk to the potions mistress still going on?

She sighed as the Professor burned the parchment that she had worked on all night. "Yes Professor and good day," she said bowing slightly and slowly walked towards the door.

Stepping into the office, Marilyn tried taking a few calming breaths. It was no use, however. Her whole body was jittery and fulls of nerves. She'd never been in trouble.
...And the Slytherin knew why.
It was horrible!
Taking a seat, she peered at Professor Lafay warily. Maybe if she just sat there, the seat would swallow her up...

Marilyn figured at this point that compete honesty was going to be her best bet. It bothered her that Evelyn was getting in trouble right along with them...along with everyone else. They hadn't done anything wrong, really.
Best to start from the beginning then, Marilyn.
"Professor, I would just like to start by saying none of us set out to break any rules. I was talking to Cassie a few weeks ago about how the First Years have seemingly taken over. So, we devised a plan for all the Seventh Years to have a party..." Breath, Marilyn... It was all just pouring out at once..."It was my job to do food and invitations. Cassie was to get permission from Professor Hadley..."
...Which she had NOT done.
"She told me it was taken care of...but I'm not trying to pass blame. I understand that it is just as much my fault because I should have came to you instead."
...Why was she trembling? The blonde seriously thought she was about to have a heart attack.
Let me make it out of this alive, PLEASE!

Well...well...
Well, this wasn't a good start.
Being honest and truthful was always the best thing to do. Especially when she was sorta innocent in the matter, no matter how often that little voice in her head said to check if everything was sorted out first.
Glancing over to Marilyn as she started speaking, Evelyn crossed her arms, not in a disappointed or stand-offish way though. Yes, Cassie. The one who was supposedly getting permission...which she just found out a littler earlier on the grounds. Who didn't. When it became silent in the office, Evelyn came back to reality and glanced from Marilyn to Lafay. Erm... "I...seriously thought everything was already taken care of."
Permissions included. She was going to burn that voice in the back of her head if it started talking any louder too.

She covered her face, and then breathed in. She was counting to ten... as she was ready to set someone on fire... soon. When she got to ten, she said "Let me ask this... WHY-" Ok... she needed to breathe before she could continue. "Why, pray tell, would two Slytherins rely on a HUFFLEPUFF," breathe Hecate... Breathe... "to ask permission to have a party on the grounds?" REALLY?!?! And to Hadley?!? She took her wand out and put on the desk.

Professor Lafay...had a point.
Why had Marilyn relied on Cassie to get permission? Well, she'd volunteered for one...Not that it was a good reason to go along with her. The Slytherin could have easily micro-managed the girl...but felt uncomfortable doing so to a friend.
It was in bad taste.
Her Head of House looked ready to hurt someone.

"Professor, I naturally assumed that a Hufflepuff would be easier to get permissions from..."
They're suppose to be the nicer house...Obviously what the sorting hat says about their house is NOT true...
Sweat was starting to bead on her forehead. This was one of the most uncomfortable conversations she'd ever had. Reaching up, she ran a hand through her hair. "I'm embarrassed that I let someone else have control over the situation."

Why had they relied on a Hufflepuff? What?! She...she didn't...
Scoff!
Like SHE'D let anyone else get permission. Before she went down to the party, she'd thought Marilyn was the one that had that job. Glancing between the two of them, Evelyn's eyes widened somewhat before her gaze stopped on her Slytherin classmate. Why would Marilyn give up the permissions part anyways? The Hufflepuffs were closer to the kitchens, meaning the Hufflepuff should've been in charge of the food! Permissions was the most important part, which obviously, should be in Slytherin hands. In her opinion of course.
"I..." Goodness. "Technically I didn't know about that." Clearing her throat quietly, she adverted her gaze elsewhere, landing on the parchment on the wall. Oh, that rule WAS still in effect. Or was it? "Although, like Marilyn sorta mentioned, it won't happen again."

What? "No! No...no." Nooo, she wasn't giving excuse. No.
...
Yes, yes she was giving excuses, but they were all true! She didn't know about anything! Which, probably was the worst thing to say now that she thought about it. "You're right, of course." she spoke up quickly, nodding somewhat and glancing to Marilyn out of the corner of her eye. "I'm....sorry."Force that one out. Evelyn didn't do apologies.

Marilyn was unable to meet Lafay's eyes. The truth of the matter was that she was immensely embarrassed about having someone else put her in this situation. She'd went 6 years without getting in any kind of trouble...and then THIS happens.

Evelyn began to speak and the blonde's eyes immediately darted in her direction. Was Evie trying to suggest that Cassie had set them up? She knew Cass and she just wasn't like that. The girl didn't have one mean bone in her body...but what if Hadley had put her up to it?...Obviously, she'd be loyal to her house first...
No, no...What am I saying? I know better.
Do you really?
*eyeroll*
"I understand, Professor Lafay. I've not only embarrassed myself...but also my house. I'm ashamed that I allowed someone else, a Hufflepuff no less, to put me in this situation. The guilt I feel cannot be expressed in words..." Well, it couldn't. Well, okay, maybe she'd laid it on a bit thick.
Perhaps she could write an apology letter and post it on the bulletin board...

"But, if I may be so bold to say," Yes, she was eying the Professor's wand on the desk. "This could be just what they wanted to happen." The Huffies! "You know, you've got the weird rule about being extremely loud down here in the dungeons to annoy us no doubt..." Lafay wasn't part of that was she? "And then this happens where a Hufflepuff conveniently takes on the role of obtaining permissions, and ends up making US look like the bad ones while she's all 'honest' and takes the blame, putting her house in the good light while the rest of us are kicked to the side."
"Quite frankly, I think they're just scared that we may win all three competitions this year again, so they're trying everything to sabotage us as much as possible. Including trying to get us suspended from quidditch. You said it yourself. We shouldn't rely on a stereotype." All the other houses were evil!
"Is that so?" She said listening to the girl. "Maybe I should pay Professor Hadley a visit..."

"I'm glad you understand. But tell me, do you agree with Miss Flores? Do you think this is an ambush from the Hufflepuffs?" It would make sense... why else would Hadley have been on the grounds.

Marilyn thought about what her Head of House was asking her...Evelyn had suggested that this was a scheme to take Slytherin down. Would the other houses seriously do something that...tacky? The blonde had to admit that it wasn't like Cassie to forget things that important. I mean, getting permission had been one of the first things they had discussed.
Who forgot to do something like that?
"While I want to believe that they wouldn't stoop this low..." because Marilyn questioned their intelligence to put a plan like that together "I must admit that it was strange she forgot to ask...Cassie never forgets things like that AND it was the first thing we'd talked about...And when Professor Hadley appeared..." It was really miffing her the way Hadley had interacted with Evelyn and herself. "Well, I was completely taken by surprise because Cass had said everything was taken care of..."
*face palm*
If the blonde found out that she had been set up...someone was going to be in a world of hurt.
