As you enter the Muggle Studies classroom, you instantly notice that it has been changed to match the lesson again. The room seems to go on forever and each wall is covered by mirrors. The floor is a hardwood floor and there are chairs lining the west and east walls. In the distance, you can hear a variety of Muggle songs playing. They all have a great rhythm that make you want to jump up and dance.
From the ceiling is hanging a mirrored ball, also known as a Disco Ball. There are also a variety of lights and laser machines hanging around the room. The lights are just dimmed slightly.
In the middle of the room on the East side, there is a break in the chairs and there is a table covered with Muggle refreshments. This time there are no cokes or sodas. This time there are bottles of water and Gatorade and a huge punch bowl full of a pink punch. The bowl has been charmed to instantly refill itself when it gets low. The water and Gatorade are iced down and have been charmed to refill as well. There is also a cake in the shape of a musical note but it is encased in a safety charm to insure that no one touches it until the time has come.
In the middle of the room on the West side, there is a break in the chairs where a dry erase board sits. On the board, the professor has left the following note:

Welcome to our second Muggle Studies Lesson!!!
Please come in and have a seat in one of the chairs lining the walls! Also don't forget to grab a drink from the refreshment table. Trust me you are going to need it....
Class will begin shortly!

Please come in and have a seat. You may chat but keep it to a minimum. Remember that when class starts, you need to cut out chatting. Also don't post yourself coming in late, Gemma hates late arrivals and will not give you a warning, she will deduct points from the first time you are late.

"Alright, time to make a line I guess," she smiled as she HOPPED behind Jonathan and put her hands on his waist. "Selina, you can go behind me and then Gideon behind you." That way they could avoid most of the awkwardness, right? "Let's hop to it!"
Terrible joke. She knew it was, but couldn't resist.

And he was right. Looking at Kurumi, who is just beside him, made him laugh. Not at her though but at this dance. First there was the funny chicken dance and now they had to deal with the bunny hop. "I remembered the time you lost your shoe." yeah, she was hopping like a bunny. It was cute.

Kurumi stood back for a moment trying to figure out the movements from the video and, after a few moments, thought that maybe she had it figured out. "Want to conjure or transfigure some rabbit ears?" she asked jokingly. No magic was allowed in Muggle Studies, so it was out of the question, but it would be fitting. Maybe they could just use their hands? Kurumi set both of her hands on top of her head like rabbit ears.
Yes, whenever Selina was around she felt ten times less awkward.
Two? Last time Kurumi checked there were three of them, but Gideon probably didn't associate Jonathan, a Slytherin, as being a part of their little group. The lions and a snake. Sounded like the title of a really bad television show.
"Sure," Kurumi nodded. "The Bunny Hop is a conga after all." It made sense that you would perform it with more than just yourself. Conga for one? That was rather lonely.
Kurumi's hands were still on her head, but she was standing behind Selina. Oh, um, maybe she shouldn't be standing there. Gideon would want to be the one in her spot, right? But then that meant that she was supposed to put her hands on Gideon's waist and that made her feel even more awkward.
Not knowing really what to do, Kurumi continued practicing with her hands on top of her head like floppy rabbit ears.
Right foot. Tap tap.
Left foot. Tap Tap.
Hop forwards. Hop.
Hop backwards. Hop.

The next step was to put your hands onto your partners shoulder. So he's quite surprise that Kurumi put her hands onto his waist. He didn't oppose though, in fact he's practically okay with it.
"D-d-do I have to be in front?" if he's in front then it means he has to lead right? So he waited for everyone to prepare themselves before they all start hoping some more.
Looking at the gryffindor guy, Jonathan decided to introduce himself. You know, just for formality. "I'm Jonathan by the way" he said as he gestured his hand for a hand shake. He has seen him class but he forgot his name. Well, they haven't been properly acquainted with each other. Plus, Kurumi hasn't mentioned him yet to him.
When Kurumi mentioned conjuring up some bunny ears Selina chuckled and rolled her eyes, "Thanks, but no thanks Kurumi. Besides, no magic in Muggle Studies." This was the one time Selina was happy that this rule was in place. She did not doubt that her best friend, if given the opportunity to, would conjure up some bunny ears for the lot of them. Her and Johnathan did not need any help to look stupid, but Kurumi was all giggly and happy so it was contagious. Merlin, why was her best friend so genuinely funny? It always made saying no to her extremely hard. But that was the way the two girls worked. Best friends, partners in crime, saving the world one chocolate frog at a time.
Then Kurumi started to speak to someone and Selina turned around. It was Gideon. He was going that silly grin thing that drove her up the wall. So when he asked if he could join in with them she was going to throw him a smirk and say no, but Kurumi beat her to it. It seemed as if Kurumi had gotten over the awkwardness of Gideon being around since Johnathan was there now. Earlier in the class she wouldn't even look at him. Selina had to thank Johnathan for that later. There was nothing to be awkward about. Selina and Gideon were friends... friends who like each other... but friends none-the-less.
For a moment there was an awkward moment trying to figure out who stood where, thankfully Kurumi fixed that quickly. The order was Johnathan, Kurumi, Selina, Gideon. Selina took note of the fact that Kurumi took hold of Johnathan's waist, poor thing was small. Then again Selina had no room to say anything, Kurumi was an inch taller than Selina. Leperchaun? Everyone else thought so.
Giggling a little at Kurumi's antics she placed her hands on her friends shoulders and turned around to look at Gideon, "Well come on then you. Don't get all shy on me now." If she had a little bit more courage she would have commented that they had kissed before in the locker room so this should not be that hard to put his hands on her shoulder.
But then she head a whine coming from Johnathan. Selina poked her head out from the line and said to him, "Oi, you big baby, just deal with it. Not the end of the world your first."

Kurumi tried standing on her tip toes so that she could rest her hands on Jonathan's shoulders, but she nearly lost her balance when she tried to tap her feet. So....Jonathan's waist it was. "I like the scarf," she laughed. Besides, shoes were so expensive and he probably didn't know her shoe size - which was small.
Kurumi then turned to Selina when she denied the greatness that was the bunny ears. "Suit yourself," she laughed as she stuck her tongue out. Her smile only widened a bit more when Selina's hands rested on her shoulder. They were all set to go once Jonathan started them off. She was just about to open her mouth to offer to switch with him if it would make him more comfortable when Selina beat her to the punch. "Just lead us in a loop around the room," she nodded. Heck, maybe they could pick up some of their classmates along the way?
She glanced over her shoulder at Selina and winked before checking up on Gideon. "We all set?"

Jesifur was all too familiar with both the dances from muggle primary school. They had learned several fun dances and some not so fun ones. She grabbed the shoulders of the person in front of her and mumbled about hoping not to get hopped on. Then she followed in suit with the other students. Looking back down the line she giggled, to a bystander they prolly looked like a strange human centipede. Or a crazy footed train that does not follow and tracks...

She repeated the whole thing twice, quickly the second time. She was getting the hang of this and laughed as she did. "Are you done?" she asked the boy as she stopped. "I'm Sarah" she said, watching him doing the steps.

Gemma smiled and even giggled at some of the students doing the Chicken Dance. It was always fun to see young wizards having fun doing Muggle things even if they were so simple and...well..useless...
She gave them plenty of time to play....no dance the chicken dance and then she flicked her wand and the music stopped.
Through a little laugh..."Alright, let's do it all together once...Everyone back to their starting dots...please..." she waited for them to scurry back to their spots and once everyone was set she flicked her wand and the Chicken Dance song came on....
Her arms came up and she flapped her beaks...then she flapped her wings...and then she shook her butt with a giggle...over and over and over again with a huge smile on her face...who couldn't have fun with this song.
When the music stopped, she smiled at the students. "I'll give you a quick two minute break to go grab something to drink and then hurry back to your dot." she said with a quick motion towards the refreshment table.
As they took their break, she walked to the other end of the classroom towards another screen. As everyone settled back in to their spots, she started with the next dance.
"Another fun and crazy Muggle Dance is the bunny hop. Now they have recently remixed the Bunny Hop to a more rap kind of style, but I'm still a huge fan of the original..." she said with a nod before continuing. "Here's what I need you to do. We are going to make three straight lines facing the North wall of the classroom...you need to be about arms' length apart from each other..." she waited for them to re-situate.
With a flick of her wand, a video played on the screen.
She smiled at the class as the video ended..."So here's how it goes...everyone place your hands on the shoulders of the student in front of you...the moves go...step out and back in with your right foot twice...then twice with your left foot...then we are going to hop forward once, backward twice, and then forward three times and repeat...and the whole line will move like a little inchworm together..." As she said each direction, she modeled it at the front of the classroom.
"Let's do each move by ourselves first and then we will connect and give it a try..." she said encouragingly...
OOC: Alright everyone have fun RPing learning and doing the Bunny Hop. I'll be back this evening and we'll start our next dance (3/4)...have fun with this but keep your talking to a minimum....*huggles*
Penny took advantage of the break and grabbed a bottle of water off the table - this dancing was thirsty work....

Ok, she did admit that the silliness of the chicken dance was fun. It was nice to be able to let go for a moment, but honestly, a Slytherin could only take so much silliness before she grows irritable...and that was exactly what was going on with her...as fun as the Bunny Hop looked to be, she was sort of getting tired from all the dancing. But nevertheless...

This was actually kind of fun..if she was feeling any less tired

Orr was really loving this lesson as she hopped in tandem with the rest of the class and she giggled to herself looking at some of the other students who were confused as to why and how muggles danced. She figured that it was no different from how wizards danced. The main aim of dancing was to have fun and move your body.

Gideon listened as the Slytherin boy took the initiative and introduced himself to break the ice between them. "Gideon...nice to meet you," he returned, accepting the offered hand and giving it a polite shake. He turned his attention back to the group as a whole, fighting the urge to look sheepish as Selina called him on his hesitance, her own hands on Kurumi's shoulders in front of her.
The fourth year Gryffindor realized then that the hand placement dealt more with heights then anything else, relaxing when she in turn gave Jonathan a hard time about not wanting to be first. Easy up Gert....he berated himself fr overthinking things. His hands moved to Selina's shoulders for a not-to-tight hold, giving a nod as Kurumi asked if they were all ready and paying attention to her instructions on what they were planning on doing for the dance.
"Yep...all set I believe," he answered wordlessly glancing at Selina to confirm even though it wasn't entirely necessary.
Nate drew a line here. He enjoyed making himself look like an idiot, but he couldn't do this one. He moved himself over to the side of the room and snatched a water bottle from the table, quickly downing the entire thing. Gemma smiled at the students as they went through the Bunny Hop...it wasn't a hard dance until you connected and then the students quite often looked like dominoes on the edge of teetering to the floor. She smiled at them and then flicked her wand and announced, "Okay everyone! Great job..." she said loudly through her giggles at some of the students.
"Let's all connect together and try doing one big Bunny Hop line...now this is going to be hard because of the whole balance issue, but I think it'll be fun..." she walked out to the end of the classroom and stood by one of the dots. "Okey dokey...here we go everyone connect together at the shoulders..." she said looking over her shoulder to make sure everyone connected together across the room...She flicked her wand and the music started and she started the Bunny Hop.
As the song ended, she finished with a laugh and clapping heading towards the front of the room and towards the other two screens.
She smiled at the screens and then back at the students. "Right...we are going to watch two more videos of muggle dances....when they are done...I want you to decide which dance you would like to learn..." she motioned to each end of the classroom. "If you would like to learn the Cupid Shuffle go towards this end...and if you would like to learn the Cha Cha Slide go to the opposite end..." she shook her head and waited to make sure that she made sense to the other students.
"Now let's start the last two videos...both of these are a little bit more than the Chicken Dance and Bunny Hop, but these are still fun nonetheless..." she flicked her wand and the videos started up.
As the videos ended, Gemma smiled at the students..."Okay now choose a side and start learning one of the dances!" she said excitedly.
OOC: Thank you for having fun with this so far!!! Please choose a side and RP learning whichever dance you want. Have fun but keep all the talking down...it was a little crazy last segment...only simple talking about dancing and such would work...thanks everyone!!!

Sierra didn't care which dance she learned. They were equally ridiculous and a waste of time. She better get a hefty amount of house points for this. Say...a hundred or so should do it. She paused when she reached one side of the room. Now, which side was this?
Ahh. Cha Cha Slide. Spectacular. Whatever...
Sierra watched the video, all the while trying to keep up with the movements.

Pffffffffft was that even a serious question? Who would want to learn the old, boring Cha Cha Slide when they could learn the awesome CUTE Cupid Shuffle instead?
Tori practically bunny hopped all the way over to the Cupid Shuffle side. To the right, to the right, to the right, to the right, to the left, to the left to the left, now kick, now kick, now kick, now kick, now walk it by yourself... walk it by yourself...

Alyssa was out of breath after doing the Bunny Hop with everyone. While catching her breath, she looked at the videos that the Professor was showing to them. The Cupid Shuffle and the Cha Cha Slide. They both equally looked complicated but interesting to do at the same time. For once, she decided to learn the easier of the two. The Cha Cha Slide, required too many steps and a lot of energy, so Alyssa picked the Cupid Shuffle to learn. She walked over the end that the Professor had indicated for those who wanted to learn that dance, and practised the steps while looking at the video again.
To the right, to the right, to the right, to the right
To the left, to the left, to the left, to the left
(keeping heel to the ground): Right Kick Left kick, Right Kick, Left Kick
Then walk on the spot while turning to the left
Then repeat steps again.

WOOHOO! Nate flew out of his seat and ran over to the Cupid Shuffle side of the room, waited for a beat, and jumped right into the dance. He would change sides later, but this was fun!

Er... What?! TOGETHER?! But... WHAT IF SHE HURT SOMEONE?! She didn't want to do that!
Kita bit her lip and joined onto the line by grabbing someone's shoulders. Maybe this was going to go better than she thought it would? She hoped so! Who knows, she could just end up tripping over her own two feet again.
HMPH!
Oh! Music started! Time to do the Bunny Hop! Teehee! That was a funny name! Now, time to start DANCING!
Right foot out, right foot out.
Left foot out, left foot out.
Hop forward once. Hop backward once. Hop hop hop forward.
Teehee! This was so FUN! And it wasn't even too tiring! Again again!
And... then the music stopped. Still in a fit of giggles, Kita started clapping. They should DEFINITELY have more of these kind of lessons. It's way better than sitting in a boring classroom taking notes and falling asleep.
Kita turned her attention back to Cerulean. Two more dances? TWO?! Oh right. They didn't have to do both. Only one. But... if both dances were like the Bunny Hop, then wouldn't that make it harder to make a decision?
... She wasn't happy about this.
But she looked at the video's. Yes, that's right... they BOTH seemed as fun as the Bunny Hop. Now this was hard. Couldn't they do one dance and then shift over to the other side to learn the other dance? Wouldn't that work?
Kita bit her lip and took a brave couple of steps over to the one with the Cha Cha Slide. In the video, the singer person was singing them the steps... that way she wouldn't forget. And she was less likely to make a mistake and trod on someone's foot. Now... time to learn!

Giggling, Kita looked over at the other end of the room. It looked interesting. Very interesting...
Kennedy stopped the dancing and went to where he had left his water bottle. He took a huge sip and then closed it. Were they done, yet? This was the most exercise he's ever done. His hung though, when the professor mentioned them learning two more dances.
Are you for real?!
He watched both videos and sighed. He wasn't doing the Cha Cha Slide. So, the Cupid Shuffle it was. He went back to his dot and began to move.
To the left, to the left, to the left...
... To the right, to the right, to the right...
... Kick to the left... kick to the right... kick to the left... kick to the right...
The Bunny hop was pretty histerical especially since Ness and Aaron were still both wearing their monster suits. It was a little hard to do wearing a suit but they coped right? As the music stoped Nessie gave all her attention to the Professor.
At last a dance she knew very well. The Cha Cha Slide. it was one of her favorite line dances and when the Professor played the video Ness felt like dancing along with it...but that would cause attraction which was something she did not want. Now onto the last dance it was the Cupid Slide. She had heard of it before, but she didn't really know how to do it so obviously she chose the Cupid Slide and she moved to the side of the Cupid Slides. She then looked at her badger friends hoping they'd might join.
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.
Victoria thought that the next two videos weren't as silly as the last ones. At least these ones are quite normal. She decided to try to do the Cha Cha slide first, 'cause it looks pretty cool interesting.
Making sure she has enough space for the slides and turns. Victoria followed to music and went with the flow...
Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap,
slide to the left...
take a step back...
HOP! one time...
Left stomp...
Right stomp...
And CHA CHA? Victoria dared not to sway her hips too much.
