As you enter the Muggle Studies classroom, you instantly notice that it has been changed to match the lesson again. The room seems to go on forever and each wall is covered by mirrors. The floor is a hardwood floor and there are chairs lining the west and east walls. In the distance, you can hear a variety of Muggle songs playing. They all have a great rhythm that make you want to jump up and dance.

From the ceiling is hanging a mirrored ball, also known as a Disco Ball. There are also a variety of lights and laser machines hanging around the room. The lights are just dimmed slightly.

In the middle of the room on the East side, there is a break in the chairs and there is a table covered with Muggle refreshments. This time there are no cokes or sodas. This time there are bottles of water and Gatorade and a huge punch bowl full of a pink punch. The bowl has been charmed to instantly refill itself when it gets low. The water and Gatorade are iced down and have been charmed to refill as well. There is also a cake in the shape of a musical note but it is encased in a safety charm to insure that no one touches it until the time has come.

In the middle of the room on the West side, there is a break in the chairs where a dry erase board sits. On the board, the professor has left the following note:

Please come in and have a seat in one of the chairs lining the walls! Also don't forget to grab a drink from the refreshment table. Trust me you are going to need it....

Class will begin shortly!

Please come in and have a seat. You may chat but keep it to a minimum. Remember that when class starts, you need to cut out chatting. Also don't post yourself coming in late, Gemma hates late arrivals and will not give you a warning, she will deduct points from the first time you are late.

Zomg. She got to pretend to be a chicken! That was SO cool. This was going to be fun, and at least Indiana knew she wasn't going to look that much like a fool. Because everyone else would like a fool too. That was perfect. She giggled a bit as she watched everyone had a go. They did look so stupid. But Indy was totally up for having a go. This was going to be fun. She stood up, and grinned. She could totally get away with looking like a fool. She was only 11. It would totally work. Okay. So becks. Yeey. So she kind of bobbed her head to the side, as she made a beck action with her hands. Perfecttt.

Trying to remember the moves, she tried not to look at Alyssa as she went through her moves - this class was too funny !!

Raising her two arms up, Penny made the shape of beaks with her hands and started the moves...Open and close the beaks four times, then flap elbows in and out four times..She felt ridiculous, but having loads of fun too..

Next move was the twist, first knees to the left then right, and doing the same again...and then finally clapping four times.....

Chancing at look at Alyssa she saw that Alyssa had finished he dance and was looking at Penny finishing up her dance...

"That is such a crazy dance - but so much fun!", Penny said to Alyssa between giggles..

Wait...they were going to do the Chicken Dance? Kurumi stood in horror as she saw her classmates around her begin to wiggle and giggle and flap there arm. Kurumi looked down at her spot on the floor and then back around the room. She...had been expecting that they would be doing some awkward things this lesson, but starting off with this dance right off the bat? It was all a little too much for her.

She slowly stepped to the side and slipped on someone's foot. Looking over her shoulder to bow in apology, she saw that it had been Jonathan's foot that she had stepped on. "Oh...s-s-sorry," she blushed. She hadn't really spoken to him since...the time they had shared in the pathways, and she blushed at the memory of it.

"So...um...I guess you start with your hands first," she said as she held her hands up at about her shoulder's height and began opening and closing them like a beak. Should she cluck while she did it? Chickens clucked.

Jonathan finished with his chicken dance practice. It was simple and easy but embarrassing. Everyone in the room was flapping and were doing chicken actions, it looks hilarious. So after one practice, Jonathan decided not to do it again. It felt weird doing a silly dance and probably many agreed with him.

He stood still and looked at the class practicing, so that's what they look like. He laughed softly to himself and then suddenly out of nowhere someone stepped on his foot again. Jonathan had been worried of that, seems like everytime he is involved in dancing someone steps on his foot. The step wasn't that painful but it made him glare at the person who stepped on him...

.... which was Kurumi. After seeing it was her, Jonathan's glare turned into a smile in a millisecond. "I'm okay" he said as he waves his hand. The last time they spoke was back when Jonathan came back after the break. "How are you doing so far?" with the chicken dance.

Then Kurumi started dancing. It's not that she's hilarious or anything, it's just that Jonathan really find this choreography funny. Who invented it anyway? Do muggles really dance like a chicken? "I'm sorry. You're doing great." with a smile still stuck on his face.

"Aahhh!" Jory thought to himself. "The Chicken dance? Well, here goes nothing." He took a deep breath, raising his hands up to shoulder length and started opening and closing them like a beak.
"This is so crazy,'' Jory muttered but starting to enjoy himself.
Next, he "flapped" his arms like a chicken beating his wings and moved from left to right. "Not bad,'' Jory thought clapping four times.

When the video was over, the young professor turned towards the class and slowly explained how to perform the Chicken Dance....it would look something like this:

As soon as she was done showing each of the moves she turned back to the students and then said, "Okay let's give it a try..." instantly the music started going very slowly and it was time to do the Chicken Dance.

OOC: Alright everyone have fun RPing learning and doing the Chicken Dance. I'll be back in the morning and we'll start our next dance...have fun with this but keep you talking to a minimum....*huggles*

The Chicken Dance? Oh, that Muggle dance. Yeah, Uncle Kurt and Katrina's cousin had danced that during a visit. And Katrina knew that dance to.

Katrina positioned her hands and began to move, imitating a chicken. She soon started to be fond of it and laughed. She looked like a hen! But then, everybody was doing it so no embarrassment done.

Well, she had gone through the movements once, and she glanced back up at him. "Practice makes perfect you know." Yes, Jonathan, that was a hint for him to go through the motions again.

Kurumi looked around and saw Selina looking equally as awkward and she was with this dance. "Ooooooooi! Selina!" Kurumi called, grabbing Jonathan's hand as she lead him towards her Gryffindor friend. "Do this together? You won't feel as awkward."

Harvey could not believe what he had just heard? they..were...expected...to...do...the...chicken dance?!!!??!! Him being muggle-born he knew this dance off by heart, as even the muggle schools taught you to dance like this when you are like FIVE!!!!

He could not believe his ears or eyes as he watched the video of the dance. Then his professor got up to demonstrate the dance

She told them to do the beak opening and closing motion 3 times as she demonstrated, then they would have to stick out their elbows and do a up-and-down flapping motion also 3 times. Then they would have twist their waist right-to-left-and-back-to-the-right-again and finally clap 4 times. She looked funny doing it Harvey stifled a laugh and decided to smile instead. Then she told them to get up and DO IT!! He absolutely did NOT want to do this but knowing that they needed the points so he reluctantly got into postion on a white dot.

He then reluctantly got his hands up to his face and did the beak opening and closing motion with his hands 3 times

Then he stuck out his elbows and did the up and down flapping motion 3 times

He was feeling stupid doing this dance but he carried on swallowing his pride, the points were more important than his pride right now.

Then he twisted his waist from right-to-left-and-right-again and then he clapped 4 times.

He had done it! but he saw that others were still doing the dance so he carried on doing the dance over and over again. Each time he did it he did it with a little more energy and soon he was dancing like he had never danced before and he was actually laughing and having Fun doing this dance that he himself not long ago had called stupid.

He laughed and laughed and had so much fun doing this dance that his shoulders, elbows, hands, waist and knees were starting to ache now as he put all his energy into this dance.

Selina was standing awkwardly doing the chicken dance in the midst of all of her peers. She felt like she might run if she had to stand there any longer embarassing herself. Why was she doing this? What was she learning? When was she ever going to implement this lesson into her daily life. She hardly believed that the chicken dance was cause for major importance. Actually she severly doubted it.

Then she heard a bubby voice saunter by and Selina smiled with her lips pierced at Kurumi, "Oh... I highly doubt that. Hey Johnathan." . Selina waved at him in the midst of her cluck.

Jesifur giggled, the chicken dance! We are all going to look so funny to anyone who passes by the doorway. But she went ahead and jumped in. Beak beak beak, twist twist twist, Flap flap flap flap Clap clap clap clap. Over and over til the song ended. dancing is fun chicken dancing is funny.

Nate took this as a challenge. A challenge to to the best chicken dance he could, while not entirely destroying the wizard-raised kids who were new to this. What was a little humility to hurt anyone? Nate started tapping his foot to get on beat, then went into the dance, smiling wider and wider, not caring who or what could see. This was just as much fun as he remembered!

Chicken dance?!

Even the name was funny. Daichi watched as the students started to practise the dance and after a couple of minutes he too stood up from his chair.

Finding a place for his own, Daichi started to perform what he called the chicken dance.

Beak beak beak , Flap flap flap , wiggle wiggle aaand skipping around a invisible partner~
Beak beak beak , Flap flap flap , wiggle wiggle
Beak beak beak , Flap flap flap , wiggle wiggle

Daichi was highly liking this dance, it was different than from what he practised in front of the mirror at home. Ahem. The music was rather slow but when he got the feeling to it he automatically started to move faster, a rhythm was playing in his head.

Beak beak beak , Flap flap flap , wiggle wiggle

"ONE MORE TIME~" He shouted in his own enthusiasm and started to Beak beak beak , Flap flap flap , wiggle wiggle and skip again .

Chicken... dance? Awesome! This was right up Keefer's alley.

He flung his quill down onto his notes and got up out of his seat. Assuming the position, he waited for the music to cycle back around to the beginning again.

After a few seconds, he began to dance. I don't wanna be a chicken, I don't wanna be a duck... He flapped his imaginary chicken wings and opened and closed his hands to look like a quacking duck.

Wait, what comes next? He panicked as the music went by without him knowing. Glancing around, he saw some people twisting back and forth and moving their arms. Oh, right! He picked it back up again, this time remembering the third move. He rounded it out by clapping four times.

"Haha, this is fun once you get the hang of it!" he exclaimed. He continued to dance with more and more vigor as the dance began to be second nature. Muggle Studies was always a fun class.

That sealed the deal right there. Muggles weren't only non-magical, they were crazy, as well. Who in the name of Merlin found some sort of amusement in going about like they were a chicken?!

Looking around the room, Sierra realized that over half the class apparently did. Her facial expression fell to one of unamusement, and she headed directly to the back of the room where possibly no one could see her. If she was going to do this, she was going to do it far away from the others. This was reason number 612 why she needed to drop Muggle Studies next term. Blahhh. The only other alternatives, though, were the likes of Ancient Runes and Arithmancy. She inwardly grumbled as she found herself a new spot to stand.

...and then she ever-so-slightly began to do a few of the beak motions, and she may have even flapped her arms a little. No one was looking, were they?!?

Tayla felt somewhat disappointed, but after a looking at the professor demonstrate the steps, she laughed. This was no regular dance class, but it was going to be fun! She did the chicken dance as instructed and couldn't stop grinning as she watched her classmates do the step, too.

"Cluck! Cluck!" Tayla couldn't help saying and laughed some more.

Ahh the chicken dance! Ronnie was excited to get out there and make a total fool of herself.

She stood up and began doing the chicken dance, and singing to the song. She knew this song by HEART since her mum had done the chicken dance every night when she was little before bed. Her mum had also sang too, and after a ton of years of chicken dancing she herself had memorized the dance and lyrics.

Alyssa laughed when she saw Penny do the dance. She looked so cute. "Merlin knows what I look like doing it!" she laughed to herself. "Hey let's do the entire dance, including the twirling around part. I guess we do the hands and twist part eight parts until the music changes to the second part of the song, we hook our elbow together and first twirl one way, and then switch elbows and twirl the other way. Ready Penny? Let's do it".

Beak, beak, beak, beak

Wiggle left, wiggle right, wiggle left, wiggle right

They were dancing... the Chicken Dance? In CLASS???

Well this was going to be embarrassing...

Ariana lifted her hands up to her shoulders, opening and closing them awkwardly. "I don't wanna be a chicken, I don't wanna be a duck.." the lyrics ran through her mind as she hummed softly to the song. She remembered back in fourth grade when the school orchestra had played the chicken dance. Ariana had been a newbie at flute back then, still her second year on the instrument, and she remembered all of the high schoolers laughing as the second graders started dancing along, and now here she was, a second year at a school of magic, doing the chicken dance.

She brought her hands down slightly and started flapping her arms like wings, then she twisted back and forth and back again. Ariana nearly started laughing, seeing some of the more dignified students refusing to dance, or just making tiny movements. She clapped four times to the beat and then started all over again.

"I don't wanna be a chicken..."

Victoria starred at the video with her mouth hanging open. She can't believe that the muggles would do such silly dance! After watching the professor's demonstration, Victoria felt even less eager to do the dance. It's even insulting to the chickens!

At last, Victoria lifted both of her arms, bending them slightly and moved her elbows up and down. Then she quickly dropped it. There, she did it...at least some of it. AND SHE WILL DO NO MORE!

While waiting for the next instruction, Victoria looked at the reflections of the mirror of other students doing their silly little dance.

"And what makes these dances even better is that the majority of them are easy to learn and you don't have to be a dancing expert or even novice to get them!" she said excitedly to ease the nerves of those students that might be nervous about dancing.

She smiled and glanced up and down the classroom and with a flick of her wand dots about a foot wide appeared evenly spread out on the hardwood floor. "Okay if everyone will get up, and quietly, head towards a dot on the floor....then we'll get started learning some of the dances."

She gave the students a few minutes to find a dot and she monitored them closely to make sure that the students weren't talking...she knew if she let them talk on this first move the rest of the class would be a disaster of talking.

Once she was sure everyone had a spot on the floor, she turned around and erased the board and then grabbed another marker.

"Let's start by listing some Wizard dances that we do at dances and events, such as the Hippogriff Shuffle..." she said with a nod and then she turned and wrote that on the board. "Can anyone name some other dances...remember to only name one and don't repeat others' answers."

OOC: Okey dokey...I'm going to give you a little bit of time to RP moving to your dots and then giving answers....now you can be as creative as you like with your dance names...I mean I made up the Hippogriff Shuffle. Just have fun with this. Remember NO TALKING, RAISE YOUR HAND, ONLY ONE ANSWER PER PERSON, and DON'T REPEAT OTHERS' ANSWERS (which shouldn't happen with this one since you're just making up dances)

Amethyst was seated quietly in one of the chairs against the wall already. She was eager for the lesson, and wondered what dances she would learn. Smiling as the professor spoke, her mind slightly wondered off, thinking if her sister knew any dance moves.

Hearing that they were needed to move to the dots on the floor, Ame got up and gracefully walked over to one of the dots. She looked around, seeing the other students and listened to the Professor as everyone settled down.

Name other dances? Hmm. She hadn't heard very many Wizard Dances, but she did hear about one in particular. Geleto raised her hand, "The Dragon Jive..."

Amethyst, unfortunately, didn't have an answer to this question. Though she lived in the muggle world up until then, she still hadn't an idea for a muggle dance. And if she did, it had already been named.

"Now remember these are all in good fun and this dance really doesn't require you to have any major dance ability just the willingness to laugh and have fun." she paused as the video started.

Oh my word. The Chicken Dance. She had heard the name before, and finally understood why that was the name. She giggled softly, watching the Professor. After She had finished demonstrating, Ame decided to go ahead and get some practice.

Angelina slightly raised an eyebrow. The chicken dance? Huh never heard it. She said to herself. She turned around to the mirror on the wall, took a deep breath and started with the dance.

Beak, beak, beak, beak?

Angelina stopped, narrowed her eyes and shook her head, no it was three.

Angelina smiled at her self she did the first part right she believed.

She then repeated it a few more times tell she thought she had it right. She didn't want to both anyone at that moment so she faked having a partener and went around by her self in a circle one and, then the other. After she looked at herself in the mirror and smiled a little. She believed she got this down!
