As soon as she returned to the stage, Marilyn pointed her wand at her adversary’s hand and attempted to disarm her. The attempt was unsuccessful and Marie protect herself, but wait! Marie reflected the spell, sending Marilyn’s own Disarming Charm against her! Her hand jerk and she almost dropped her wand! That was close

Success!

Marie had managed to block that spell and keep her wand. Not only that but she watched in joy as Marilyn almost dropped her own wand. Now that would have been something to celebrate. However, it wasn't time for celebrating just yet. No, Marilyn was still standing... and not in enough pain to satisfy Marie.

Using the only spell she could think of right now that was sure to cause pain Marie pointed her wand. "MORDERES!"

That should sting just a bit... or a lot.

Marilyn was hurting...Her whole body was throbbing...

She'd definitely be feeling this later...

Trying her best to regroup, she coughed into her hand...seeing blood. The blonde wasn't surprised...She hurt bad enough for there to be blood.

Marie was sending something else her way. UGH!

Marie tried to distract her opponent with a Stinging Hex, but it was futile. Marilyn successfully shielded herself, sending the hex out into the audience, almost hitting a second year who was a little too close to the stage.

Marilyn was ultimately unsure about what to do...Her entire body hurt. She could hardly move.

What was there to do, really? She'd obviously underestimated her cousin...Marie had done well...and Marilyn was impressed with it. Maybe she wasn't a stupid cow face...Maybe she wasn't a nasty slag...

Hmm...

The blonde fired a weak "Flipendo..." back at Marie. She hurt too bad to do much else.

Marie could see by the look on Marilyn's face that the girl was in extreme pain. That still didn't make her feel sorry for the girl. She had been waiting a LONG time for this moment.

Not even bothering with a shield she cast at cousin IT again. "Flipendo!" She had a feeling it wasn't going to take much more and Marilyn was going to be down which suited Marie just fine. She herself was starting to get tired, not to mention she knew her body was going to be in a world of hurt once her adrenaline rush wore off.

For the next round of turns, both duelists exchanged a Knockback Jinx, but Marie’s was strong. The orange light shot from Marie’s wand, right past Marilyn’s and knocked her back. Marilyn dropped her wand as she struggled to balance herself, giving Marie the opportunity to summon it and take possession of it.

Marie Salazar Wins!

Gnaeus climbed the stage and announced the winner to the entire club. ”Congratulations, five points for Slytherin!” He nodded towards Marie. “Both of you dueled fiercely.” It was good for the club to have a demonstration with two students who really weren’t holding back, and tried to hex each other. This was how duels really were. The man took Marilyn’s wand from Marie, and returned it to its rightful owner before he spoke again. ”That concludes all the demonstrations. Thank you, duelists!” With that he waited for the girls to exchange some final words and climbed off the stage.
