Christopher sighed, running his hand through his hair. He knew he'd have to do it eventually, but now he was just sealing in his fate. "Fine... I'll talk to her. I'll try to be friends first, more than anything." He paused before adding, "But don't get your hopes up! I can't garuntee it'll work out. That'll we'll even be friends- but I'll try." He attempted a smile, but it barely came. This was going to be much harder than it sounded, and to him, it already sounded more difficult than climbing Mount Everest. Not impossible, but a huge challenge.

Selina shook her head with a smile on her face, "I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'm glad you're finally going to be a lion about this. Now get on out of here and go talk to her..."

It was in his hands now. What he chose to do with their conversation was his to hold onto. After all... they were growing up.

With a scowl on his face, Christopher shoveled as many of his books as he could into his bag. Looking back at Selina, he crossed his arms. "If I have to talk to Violet, you have to quit avoiding Gideon and go talk to him too. If you're going to make me do this, I'm pulling you with me!" He wasn't mad at Selina, no, of course not. He was mad at himself for giving in. He didn't want to talk to Violet! Not at all! He planned on avoiding her for the rest of forever, but that plan had crashed and burned when Selina decided she'd keep meddling! He knew she was just trying to make them both happy and not Hirt anymore, but he'd rather jump off of the Astronomy tower and face the now brunette Hufflepuff.

"Yhe for maybe a little more than half the summer ect. it just gets a little boring at my house during the holidays and im sure it would be good for Rose to have some extra company at times." Alex said witha a smile.

"Fine, fine," she said waving him off as he made her an ultimatum. She would talk to Gideon, that much she knew, but she did not say when she would talk to Gideon. It was key words like that that her brother needed to listen for whenever she struck up a deal with Selina. Of course, it was too late for him to go back on what he had just said because he was leaving the room and going off wherever Christopher's went.

Once he was gone she rested her head back on the chair and snuggled up with the rest of 1984. Time to get back to Newspeak and Winston. After all she could talk to Gideon tomorrow.... or the day after that.... or maybe a week from now. Yeah, she would deal with it later.

Kennedy stretched his legs on the sofa he was laying on. He had a book over his face and a metal egg resting on his stomach with his hand holding it protectively. If someone got close enough not only would they notice the book on his face was an Astronomy book and that he was sleeping. Lately, he's been feeling more tired than usual. He blames it on all the homework the professors have packed on him.

...He was flying...people in the stands were chanting his name...he was about to catch the snitch...he caught and...it was cold...?

Huh?

Kennedy woke with a start when he felt the thing in his hand change temperature. It wasn't the snitch, but the egg. He sat up and pulled his wand out. Right then his stomach grumbled. That was odd, he just ate like a few hours ago. Shaking his head, he directed his wand at the egg. He had no idea why it was getting cold, but it did excite him that there was some sort of reaction coming from it.

"Argentum," swish, "Calidus," and tap. He waited for a bit and then felt the egg go back to its original temperature. After he was done, he stared at it some more. What if there was an ice creature in there?

Pssh, yeah right. That was too farfetched...but they were in the wizarding world. Anything was possible.

Carrying several books under her arm, Kurumi made her way into the reading lounge and went over to a chair by the window and flopped down in it, folding her legs under herself neatly as she pulled her egg out of her pocket. Okay, today was the day. She was going to name this thing so that she could stop feeling guilty about calling it simply 'egg.'

Cracking the bindings of a rather large book, she balanced the egg on one side of it as she scanned the page. "How about...Benedict?" she asked, pointing to a name on the page and glancing up at the egg. She didn't expect it to react really, it was just a piece of charmed metal after all, but then it sort of spazzed out, rolling across the page and back doing one of those high pitched whistles again. She was surprised that the windows didn't break from the noise. "Okay, Okay...I get it. No Benedict." it didn't need to have a cow...or a chicken as the case may be.

" Omelet?" More squeaking. "Skillet?" SQUEEEEEEEEEEAK!! "Clucky? Ducky? Daisy?" The egg looked like it was having seizures now as it rolled around the page in disgust. "Humpty?" Now the egg was livid and began hopping around on the page. One of its hops caused the paper to rip ever so slightly and Kurumi gasped. For MERLIN'S sake couldn't this egg act like an egg for once? Then, the egg began doing something it hadn't done before and it sounded like it was coughing. COUGHING?

Now that was just plain weird. Kurumi shut the book and held the egg in her hand, looking it over with a very perplexed expression on her face. Why was it coughing? Then something else happened, seeming to appear from the design itself, little spurts of dust puffed into the air and it stood on its head. At least, she thought it was its head. It was the more narrow end of the egg after all. Seeing as she knew the signs for several of the other spells, she went over them in her head until she was left with only one. "Argentum Siccus," she whispered, performing two separate wand movements, twirl and point, after each word. The egg coughed again and then flopped onto its side and began rolling in a clockwise fashion around on the book.

"Understanding you is worse then thinking about riddles," she grumbled. What was that one involving eggs? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? She needed to stop, she was going to give herself a headache thinking about that.

WAIT! That's it!

Kurumi picking up the egg with her right hand and flipped through several books until she found the very person she was looking for. "You finally have a name," she smiled, pointing at the book.

"Oh cool!" she said. "That'll be fun!" she said smiling.

"Yip." Alex said smiling and pulling out a book incase the librarian came snooping around.

Once again back in the library, Kurumi had several books laid out on the table in front of her along with several pieces of parchment titled with the various subjects offered at Hogwarts. All this tutoring and studying with Jonathan had gotten the young Gryffindor eager to begin putting together her own study guides for her future OWLs. Merlin! They were already a year away! Time was running out!

Dipping her quill into its inkwell, Kurumi was just about to set it against the parchment to write begin compiling a chart of Transfiguration spells and wand movements when she felt something in her pocket begin to shiver. "Hmmm?" she mumbled. She hadn't brought Momotaro out with her today so why was...oh, right. Aristotle - ug, had she really just called the egg by its name? - had been very calm and quiet over the past several weeks. Kurumi assumed that this had to do with the winter months and it being very difficult for the egg to become over heated.

Slowly, she removed the silver egg from her pocket to see that it was in fact shivering in the same way that it did every time it wanted to be cooled down. "Ar-gent-um," she said while swishing her wand. "Frigid-us," and she tapped the egg gently. Not really giving the egg a second thought since she assumed that she had fixed the problem, Kurumi returned the egg to her pocket and continued to work on her assignment.

It was a rainy day in April, which was to be expected, but the sound of the rain drops on the windows was very distracting...and for some reason was getting louder and louder with each passing minute. Sighing heavily, Kurumi put her quill down on the table and marched over to the window, hoping to that drawing the curtains would muffle the sound, when she found that they were already drawn. Fine, she would just move somewhere else.

She picked up her things and went to a non-window area of the library and flopped down at a different table...only to find that the sound was STILL there and even louder than before. Was Peeves to blame for this? The Hogwarts' ghost hadn't been around recently to cause chaos and destruction, so it wasn't that far fetched that he would choose to act out now. The dinging noise resembling water on metal was getting really REALLY annoying. Wait...metal? Kurumi blinked several times in utter confusion...and felt something wet in her pocket.

"You have got to be kidding me," she groaned, reaching into her now drenched pocket and pulling out her egg that was now resembling a geyser explosion. Water sprayed all over her face and smeared all the ink on her parchment together. If she had been this sort of girl, she probably would have thrown the egg through the window for ruining her notes, but Kurumi had planned ahead and already had copies of the ruined notes in her bag. Go thing she planned ahead - mostly because Walnut had taken to turning her parchment into kitty litter recently.

Water continued to spew all over the place and Kurumi was going to need to cast a Hot Air Charm after this on the floor, chairs...a few books... Bloody egg, there better be something AMAZING inside of it at the end of the task. "GAH!" she flailed as a squirt of water practically punched her in the eye. "Argentum Siccus!" she whisper-shrieked, performing the wand movement at the appropriate times. The water calmed and began spurting here and there as if it were sticking its tongue out at her. "Argentum Siccus," she grumbled again and the water stopped all together. Then...the bloody egg began humming at her. HUMMING.

She hoped that she wasn't expected to befriend her egg, because Aristotle was being a pain in the butt...and there was no way she was going to be able to create a partnership with this egg. Kurumi removed her handkerchief from her other, surprisingly, dry pocket and wrapped it around the egg to remove any extra water that the spell hadn't dried up.

She then glanced around at the mess caused by the egg and sighed, waving her wand and casting the best Hot Air Charm that she could manage. At least things were not damp any more and the books had been saved.

Ryan walked into the Reading Lounge with his Herbology Book.He walked over and sat next to a boy.He said''Hello,My name's Ryan,Don't mind me I'm just reading my book.''He pulled out his Herbology book and began to read.

Isobel was starting to panic. The exams were coming up and she had to take her OWLs no less. She really needed to study, which brought her to the library. Isobel sat in one of the comfy chairs and tried to concentrate on the Herbology book, because that was her worst subject. She was aiming for an A, because she did not think she could get more than that. However, she kept in mind the saying 'shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land among the stars.' So she was going to study as hard as she could to try and get an O, hopefully she would at least pass.

Janice visited the library again, bringing her book and Egg. She is almost halfway through the book now. This time, she decided to go to the reading lounge again instead of the bookshelves. Within the comfortable couches, she dropped down and opened her book. And that is when she saw her old Quidditch captain who resigned.

Janice was a bit scared of her, now that Isobel is a fifth-year and Janice had only seen during the Quidditch tryout and the first practice. But that isn't an excuse to not to be polite. She laid down her book and approached her senior.

"Hello..." she said.

Ah! Isobel had been lost in her own little world; truthfully she had been daydreaming and not really reading, but shh; don't tell anyone. She had not been expecting a voice, especially not one so close to her. When she heard one she jumped and the book fell off her lap. Isobel's cheeks pinkened slightly as she bent down to pick up her book.

"Hello," she said to the girl who had spoken. She thought she looked familiar, but Isobel could not place why. She couldn't really place anything at the moment, her mind was a jumbled mess of thoughts. If Maybelle walked in Isobel would probably think she was Damien. Okay, that would be really weird. "My name is Isobel." She blinked a couple times and tried to clear her mind so this girl would not think she was insane. She was, she just didn't want other people to think that, of course.

Selina yawned as she hung her head over the book she was reading. Potions for Dummies was really confusing. Why did it have to be so hard? Honestly, if she wanted some hard literature she would have picked up Moby-Dick to confuse herself. However, she had to get through this... She had to get better. Gideon, Jonathan, Kurumi, Violet, Christopher could all get through the class with a level of understanding, especially Gideon. But Selina took the word horrible to a new level with potions. So she would read.... Yuck.

Cristopher had been wandering around the school all day looking for a certain redhead who happened to be a year older today. After giving up, he headed to the library, the package still in his arms, quite poorly wrapped. He usually had Violet wrap it, but since he didn't really come in contact with her anymore whatsoever, he did it himself. And it looked horrible.

He just nearly sat down in a chair, heaving a large sigh in exhasperation, when a blur of redhead her fidgeted agitatedly out of the corner of his eye. He immediately jumped up, and hid the gift behind his back. Of course, with his awful coordination, the Gryffindor hit the floor, knocking a chair down with him. The large noise made him wince, and he knew there was no way she didn't see him now.

Feeling her eyes looking confused and amused down at him all at once, he didn't even bother getting up. Rather pathetically, he mumbled as his present landed at her feet, "Erm, happy birthday, Sel."

Selina was getting dizzy. Why did potions have to be so confusing? For once couldn't a brew just be simple like water and then maybe a flame underneath it... If they were feeling adventurous. Then again just filling the cauldron with water suited her fine. She slammed tge book shut on the desk and sat back in her seat. She was done with this... If Potions for Dummies couldn't teach her potions nothing could.

She heard another slam into the ground and she spun around to see the source of sound. It was Christopher, of course it was. "Um... Thanks? Are you okay?"

"My name's Janice," she replied. Egg twitched around in her pocket, causing her to flinch and stiffen her right leg. She moved a bit, patted her pocket, and peered to the book she's reading. Something about Herbology, but she couldn't make out the title. Right, with the OWLs coming in less than 5 months, fifth years are supposed to study.

"Are you studying for OWLs?" she asked, trying to pick up a conversation.

Minerva sat down and pulled out the last transfiguration book she that was in the library that she hadn't read yet. She couldn't believe she read all the books on this subject this year. She traced the title Guide to advance transfiguration she then opened it and began to read.

Aurora was sitting in the library doing some HW when Ginger awkwardly rolled out of Aurora's bag.

Aurora looked up to see Ginger slowly and awkwardly rolling towards her. "Ginger! Now is not the time for games! Go back into the bag." Aurora whispered conscious of the fact that she was in the library.

She reached to grab a hold of the egg and saw that it was really hot to the touch. "Oh! you poor thing, I didn't realize that you weren't feeling good."

Aurora grabbed her wand and immediately said, "Argentum Frigidus" while swishing and tapping at the egg. Immediately Ginger cooled down and gave an appreciative twitch.

Aurora decided that it was probably time to really spend some quality egg time with Ginger so she gathered her things and headed out while holding Ginger in her arms.

"Nice to meet you Janice," Isobel said with a smile. She was glad that the girl had come to say hi to her, because she did not like studying. It was necessary, but that did not mean that she enjoyed doing it. Isobel did not think anyone enjoyed studying or doing homework. Well some homework at Hogwarts was fun, because it was magic, but that was beside the point.

"Yes," Isobel said with a sigh. "Be glad you are not a fifth year." Well, she didn't know that Janice was not a fifth year. She didn't look like one, but she could be for all Isobel knew. She hoped that she was not, because that would be embarrasing. "Though some of it is not that bad because of the magic aspect. It is much better than something like Geometry." Max had told her about it, and showed her some problems; it made her glad she was studying magic.

"Oh, geometry is actually fun..." Janice mused. Apparently, former captain isn't a fan of geometry.

"Yeah, magic makes stuff funnier than it is," Biology becomes Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures, Chemistry becomes Potions, history becomes History of Magic, and Math becomes Arithmancy. A neat transformation.

"Fun?" Isobel asked in disbelief. She was very glad that she never had to learn Geometry. She wondered when Janice had done Geometry, but it did not matter that much so she focused back on their conversation.

"Definitely," she agreed. "I would much rather do Arithmany than math." Arithmany was one of her favorite subjects. "What is your favorite subject?" Isobel asked curiously, mostly just to make conversation.

Trying to play it off cooly, the fifteen year old jumped up and brushed off his sweater, pulling the chair he knocked down with him back up. Leaning up against it, he nodded and said, "Yeah. Fine. Great. Never better," even though he obviously was still pink in the face from his embarassing fall. Nevertheless, he attempted to look cool, as most idiot fifteen year old boys did. He failed this attempt, of course.

Nodding over to her book to divert the attention from himself, he asked with his eyebrows raised, "The question is... are you?" Now that he thought about it, she did look quite frustrated, and the copy of 'Potions for Dummies' behind her basically told him flat out, why. He was no potions wiz, but he passed it without too much trouble. It was mostly following directions, and after living with his mother for fourteen years, he knew how to do exactly what he was told. It was either that, or a painful consequence.

Selina, on the other hand, was completely rubbish at it. The entire school knew that. At least, everyone he knew her did, and she was fairly popular around this place. "Do you erm.... need... help?"

"Mhmm," Janice answered with a slight nod. "Learned it in Grade 6. Muggle school, you know. We had to do graphs and stuff."

"Definitely not Arithmancy and Ancient Runes," Janice said when she asked for her favorite subject. "Maybe Herbology or Astronomy. I can't choose between them two."
