Personality:

Alex isn't much of a daredevil, which can sometimes make him seem unsocial. He is, in fact, quite the opposite--he loves talking to people and making new friends, he just likes to do it in a safe, non embarrassing manner! However, every once in a while he may be swayed into doing something...he tends to be too trusting at times which can get him in trouble. Another thing that might get him into trouble? Sarcasm, which is especially a problem when he's dealing with his sister!

He also likes to read a lot, just to learn random knowledge--in fact, he's like a walking encyclopedia at times, and knows a bunch of useless, pointless facts that almost no one would ever need to know. Don't let that fool you into thinking he ENJOYS school, however. He needs to force himself to do schoolwork most of the time (especially when it comes to Ancient Runes!) and would much rather be observing Hippogriffs than writing about them.

When it comes to being social, Alex is friendly to just about everyone, and usually won't be mean unless that person did something to him to warrant that kind of behavior. He tends to forgive pretty quickly though (again, going back to that too trusting thing).

Some likes:

+Watching Quidditch. Forget ever getting him on a broom, but he LOVES to watch the game and support his team. His favorite professional team is the Wimbourne Wasps
+Drawing and sketching things. He's particularly good at drawing pictures of magical creatures
+Muggle television. It's so addiciting!
+Music. Muggle rock, wizard rock, it doesn't matter...if it's rockin', he'll be listening to it!
+Being outdoors (unless its cold and snowy out)
+Christmas!!! (although again, being inside during Christmas and not out in the cold)

+FLYING

+Getting burnt. Some of his most terrifying memories of his childhood included dropping chicken soup on his hand, burning his arm trying to take pizza out of the oven...you get the picture.

History

Alexander Salazar Greingoth has always been the cautious one in the Geingoth family. He was born on March 17th, just 4 minutes before his sister Sierra, something he tries (and fails) to throw in her face sometimes. He was always rather hyper as a child when he was playing with his sister and neighborhood friends, but numerous clumsy accidents caused him to become rather timid and shy out of fear of hurting himself. All those years of scraping his knees and falling out of trees conditioned him to be a rather cautious fellow, but that's not really a bad thing, right?

Like many pureblood wizards, Alex and Sierra were both homeschooled during their early childhood, rather than being sent to public Muggle school. Alex didn't really mind it at all...he found it rather enjoyable to be able to study math in his living room with the family dog at his side. While his sister longed for the company of lots of students, Alex convinced himself that there would be plenty of time to make friends when he got to Hogwarts, and was totally content playing with the kids who lived down the street. He also liked playing with Anna, his older sister, until she went off to school and got sorted into Gryffindor

Ever since Alex can remember, he wanted to be in Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Gryffindor...anywhere BUT Slytherin. Not that he didn't like snakes, he just liked the other houses better--plus he really didn't think he could survive with all those cunning and scary people. Still there was lots of pressure from the family to be in Slytherin or Gryffindor (he was even named after one of the founders for Merlin's sake!), just like everyone else in his family, making his desire to possibly be--gasp, HUFFLEPUFF!--a rather strange thing.

Tensions arose last year when Sierra and Alex's parents went through a divorce, and the children were forced to decide who they would live with. Naturally, Sierra chose to live with Alexander (their father) while Alex stayed behind to live with their mother Bella. Many arguments escalated between the twins until it was to the point where neither of them were speaking to each other, but with the help of Professor Lafay, they made amends and are back on good terms (for them, at least).

Personality: Isobel is slightly shy, but she's not afraid to peak her mind. If she sees someone sitting alone, she'll more often than not invite them to sit by her. She loves people, any people in general. And she absolutely ADORES the outside. She loves to swim, play tennis, and most of her time is spent playing soccer. She is excitable, things excite her easily, and when they do she often starts speaking French. It annoys her siblings, all except Sara, who thinks it's all highly amusing.

She is very cheerful, and she skips everywhere. As she once pointed out to Damien, she likes to do childish things. Background: Isobel had never met her birth mother; she was too young to remember. When she was barely 6 months old her mom ave her children to her sister, their aunt. Isobel and her sister, Sara, lived with their aunt for four years. When her aunt's job moved her to France, it also made her busier. Her best friend had three children of her own, so she knew she would be able to care for the girls. So that was how Isobel and Sara were adopted.

Isobel grew up there; and they were her family in every sense of the word. During the summer she went to visit her aunt in France with Sara. Isobel loved France; it will always be home to her. When she was 11 the arrangement flip-flopped. She went to France during the school year so she could go to Beaubaxtons.

After her second year she decided to switch to Hogwarts. It was mostly because she knew Jaymie would go to Hogwarts, and she wanted to be with her. She knew that if she stayed there it would be harder to leave, so she left that year to go to Hogwarts.

During her third year, her first year there, she never once regretted it. Hogwarts had a soccer field, so she could play her favorite sport. She made a bunch of friends and got on to the Quidditch team. During the summer she went to France, and was reminded of how much she missed it. But then she got her letter, telling her she was Quidditch Captain, and she couldn't wait to get back to Hogwarts. In Diagon Alley she ran in to Treyen, who recruited her on to the Yearbook team, and she absolutely could not wait for September 1st.

Over the past summer she was reminded of how much she missed France. She sometimes wishes she was back at Beaubaxtons, but those moments don't last too long. Over the summer she also went to the carnival in Diagon Alley, she went on her first Ferris Wheel ride, got her first kiss, and her first boyfriend-both while on the Ferris Wheel. Her biggest goal for the year is to make said boyfriend, Damien Murray, ride a broom. She thinks he is extremely insane for never having done so before.

Leolaine is quick-witted, understanding, intuitive, overtly friendly, fiercely loyal, easily excitable, impatient, talkative, and she especially loves to fly on her older cousins' brooms, though her father expressly forbids it due to her being so small for her age. Slight of frame, though agile and determined, Leolaine tends to stubbornly overestimate her abilities and often lands herself in the school infirmary having stretched her emotional or physical abilities a bit too far. With any luck, she hopes to grow taller and stronger (both physically and magically) while at Hogwarts and grow up to be an Auror someday.

Background
Leolaine is the eldest of three in the Swiftkneazle household and thus, the first of her siblings to be invited to attend Hogwarts. Her father, Leonidas, is a tall, broad-shouldered, kindly Pureblood wizard who is the last and only remaining Pureblood son to carry on the Swiftkneazle name. Her mother, Lynh-My is a thin, prim, and exceptionally small Muggle woman, much to the mostly silent chagrin of some of the elder Swiftkneazles.

Her mother still doesn't seem to be taking kindly to the whole magic thing, but her father just kind of crossed his fingers when they married that his wife would still love him and their children enough to look past and hopefully come to also love their being magical. Being a Muggle, she was still coming to terms with sending her firstborn (and eventually, probably her two younger siblings) to a magical boarding school that: 1) she'd never heard of--she's a Muggle... and her father hadn't really ever expanded much on the whole being magical and whatnot until Leolaine showed some magical ability; 2) was so far away from our home in Southern California; and 3) emphasized just how much she wouldn't able to understand and empathize with a whole 7 years (and perhaps even many years beyond) of her children's lives.

Her family hails from Orange County, California, USA, and she's just finished her 5th grade year at her local public elementary school. She's known for a few years now that she and her brother are different from the other Muggle kids at school--basically, after she'd had a few magical accidents at her local Muggle school a few years back, her father realized that she must have some magical-inclination and he started sending Leolaine and her siblings to his older sister's house each summer to play with and learn from their magical cousins.
