Kita blinked. On her nerves? Boy, there was definitely something up with the girl! "Er... sorry about that!" she said, "But... is there something wrong?" 'Cause Louisa didn't normally attack her. She smiled, glad that the girl wasn't hurt. "I could have still... hurt you," Yes... she was about to start a little debate with a Ravenclaw... smart move(!)

Kita waved off Louisa's apology. "I fall over all the time, it's-" Wait.. floor? Dusty? Frowning, she looked down at the floor. "That's... weird," she said, looking back up at Louisa, "I hope not either. First the dishes and now the floor." Wait... they had to clean up?! o_O "Neither do i. Who knows what might be on these silverware," What? Volunteer? "No one in their right mind would volunteer to clean up this mess." For a reason, she had the funny feeling Hufflepuffs would... but this was one house trend she was NOT following.

Wait... Why was Louisa smirking like that? Was that normal for her now? Did she usually go around smirking and attacking people? Mental note: Keep an eye on Louisa this year.

Boring? No shopping? WHAAAAAAAT?!

"Merlin! Simon, that's... that's sad!" she said, looking at the boy, "Who bought your things for you?" 'Cause someone had to have bought his things for him, right? Unless he came to Hogwarts with his previous year's supplies. And he just landed the previous night... How the boy had any energy in him, she didn't know. "What happened to taking things easy?" she sighed, frowning slightly.

Her holiday? "Er, it was good," she said, a smile forming on her face, "I moved in with Caroline, we had a pool party," Which a certain someone didn't get the chance to come to, unfortunately. "And then i went to California for a week! Not that bad, i guess."

"Are you looking forward to this year?" she asked. Fine, he had his OWL's. But there had to be something that made him look forward to this year, right?

Just... HUH?! Taking sides? Protective? And who in the name of merlin were Rose and Emma? Wait... WOAH! Cheating? And William? Kita looked at the boy quickly before looking back at Alyssa. "There's nothing wrong with being protective," she whispered back, "Or looking out for your friends. But just go easy on the guy." 'Cause he seemed nice. "He's a nice person. And remember: there are always two sides to every story."

... She was going to have to stop turning so wise sometimes!

"Is he angry with you?" she asked. 'Cause... he could be. You never know.

" I think I am wrong because I think are silverware is dirty, too" Willaim told Kita. 'Are the houseelves on a muggle strike?" William asked Kita." I think it is just me, but I have found it easier to talk to a few boys and girls that are older than me now" Willaim said to Kita." Very good advice and I will take it to the bank" William explained to Kita." I really appreciate your advice" William smiled at Kita.

" My favorite subjects last term were Ancinet Runes and Herbalogy, the least was DADA" Willaim told Alyssa."What subjucts are you looking to this term?" William asked Alyssa. " I thank you and Kita for being nice to me and not judging me." William said to Alyssa. " There are two sides to every story" Wiliam explained to Alyssa.

"Nice to meet you Amethyst." Angelina said while she let go of her hand. Anngelina smiled and said, "Are you happy you are in Hufflepuff?"

Juniper sat down and looked around. Not seeing any faces she knew she just watched all of the other new students being sorted.

Something wrong? Pffft, where should she start? Huh? The awkward couple meetings with Dallin? The agitated meeting with his girlfriend? The disastrous one with him that led to one week of sickness? Louisa sighed, "I don't know, Kita. There are things that just...happened. I messed up big time this summer." She said looking down at the floor, "It's about Dallin." She murmured, very careful not to let anyone hear her. Would Kita understand on her own?

Nodding her head at her friend Louisa said, "I know, right? Who'd volunteer to such a hard work. Maybe they'll make it mandatory. Like a bunch of students clean the mess of their house for a week and so on." She pondered that for a second. Why was she insisting on the idea again? It was horrible to even consider it! "No. I'm sure there's some kind of a logic explanation. Maybe the speech will reveal something?" And speaking of which why didn't Tate already stand up and say something already about all this mess?

"Anyways, how's your new residence? I bet you're having a great time with Caroline. How did you spend the rest of your summer? I haven't seen you around at the Carnival." Furrowing her eyebrows at the thought.

Alyssa blushed when William said that. "I am so so sorry, William. You're being very nice to me even though I was nasty to you earlier. I know that there's always 2 sides to a story. I guess I was just being protective of Rose and took sides without even hearing your version. I hope that you will forgive me,"she told William. "Anyway I loved DADA when I was in Salem and charms. I don't know about Herbology. Somehow those plants don't seem to take a liking to me for some reason,"she laughed hoping that it would 'break the ice'.

Alyssa then turned heard someone mention California. She turned to see that it was the boy that was talking to Kita. "Uh excuse me. Did I just hear you say that you were in California? I live there. Well most of the time anyway, if I'm not in Salem or here?" she smiled at the boy. "Hi my name is Alyssa and this over here is William. William have you been to the States before?", she decided to include William in the conversation just because she didn't want him to think that she was ignoring him again.

She giggled softly as she nodded to Angelina. "Yes, I do, actually! What about you? How's Slytherin?" Amethyst tilted her slightly as she asked the question.

Angelina smiled at Amethyst, "Thats good! I wanted to get into Hufflepuff, but I didn't. Slytherin is pretty nice though!" Angelina was telling the truth, Slytherin house was pretty good, and she loved it.

Alyssa was glad that Amethyst was finally talking with someone. She was about to go over and ask her to join their group. "Godric knows I know how awkward and lonely it must be being new in this place, " she thought to herself. "Now all I need is to actually meet some 2nd year students. I can't keep hanging out with the first years, although I wish that I could. Oh wait, maybe they don't know that I'm a 2nd year like they are since I just got sorted myself. Oh well at least I know William, Daisy and Rose. Maybe later, they'll introduce me to some of the other 2nd year students," she came to the realization. "Oh well, I'll worry about it later".

Just then she saw another new student sitting alone by herself. She waved to her,"Hi there, would you like to join us over here....that is unless you'd much prefer some peace and quiet right now?" she grinned at the girl.

Amethyst nodded, surprised to hear a Slytherin say that they wanted to be in Hufflepuff. She smiled softly as she giggled. "Well I'm glad the Snakes are welcoming a Hufflepuff at heart!"

As she was chatting with everyone, she realized that there was a 2nd year student sitting near her. "Great! She's already talking with someone. I hope that she'll look my way. I definitely want to make friends with her".





Then she wondered about Nessie. She hadn't seen her since they got off the train. She wondered how Kinx was doing. She knew that she had been sorted into Gryffindor.



"Sigh maybe they all decided that they were tired waiting for the food and went to see what had happened. Talking about food, I'm starting to get hungry. I do hope that they start serving it soon." hearing her tummy start to grumble.

"I haven't heard lies; but I guess hearing your side of the story is good too." she sighed. "and sorry. I guess if I really don't know someone, I should just get mad at them for something I was told."

She smiled at Amethyst and said, "I'm not sure about the other Snakes, but this snake gets alone with everyone," Angelina laughted then said, "But don't worry about them."

Maria sniffled. "New chick. Lorelai. Evil. She didn't care when she saw she touched on the wrong subject. Didn't even apologize" she said, sniffling.

Amethyst smiled giggling. A light bulb went off. Sarah and Lana are in Slytherin. "Hey, You don't happen to know Sarah and Lana, do you?" She wondered if they had welcomed her with open arms. They as sweet as pie, but anything could happen.

Katie walked back to the table and saw Emma talking to someone by the name of William and sat down next to her and waited for the converstation to end. She was very patient and didn't mind waiting at all. Okay well that's not true she wished she had some to talk to!!!

Angelina thought for a moment, "No I don't think I know a Sarah or Lana... I'd love to meet them though!" Angelina giggled.

Amethyst purred softly as she nodded. "They will treat you like family! I know they did that to me..." She smiled and nodded once again. Family. A touchy word that she'd never had. "Well, I shall introduce them to you some time, then!"

Were they ignoring her? She had said 'hello' a full five minutes ago, but no one had acknowledged her. She frowned and looked around. Simon had come, and Kita was there, so at least there were some people she actually knew. "Hello," she said again to the first years. Do not ignore her. She was le Quidditch Captain. Humph. "Hi Simon," she said a few moment later and she turned to him. He was not going to try out for the team again this year. She thought it was stupid, because he was a great player. At least they weren't losing Treyen, if they were she would probably cry.

Amethyst's ears caught a voice that stood out among the others. Whether it was good or bad was the question. Seeing the voice came from an older Hufflepuff, she turned and smiled, speaking softly. "Hello, Miss!" She bowed to her; a habit, unbroken.

Moments passed, and Adanna realized that she had accidentally fallen into a daze. Maybe she was just tired.
Yeah, that must be it. It had been a very long and eventful day, after all. Oh, how she should've slept on the train.
Even still, she put on a happy face and listened in curiously to the conversations surrounding her.

Quirly was not pleased. Quirly was upset!

She had let the castle down!!! MMEEEEEEEPPPPP... dirty.

Dirty dishes? How could they let this happen? This was sad sad sad. Hurrying along the Hufflepuff House Table, Quirly gathered all the tarnished, dirty, dirty cuttlery and anything else she could get her little hands on.

"Quirly is terribly sorry missuses and mistersers"

"Sorry," she continued to mumble as she pedantically examined every knife and fort with her big elf eyes.

They should have been more careful, this should NEVER have happened. Working her house elf magic, Quirly made all the nasty dirty things hover in mid air before making them disappear. Only a second later they reappeared, dropping from the air into their rightful positions on the table.

Quirly bowed at the studentsies many times and eventually flung herself to the floor.

SHAMED! Quirly was a bad bad elf.

"It's okay Quirly! We all make mistakes!" Katie said to a worried looking House Elf

"Hi there, I'm sorry if I didn't notice you earlier. My name is Alyssa. Someone mentioned to me that you are our house's Quidditch captain. I think that's so awesome. I hope to play for the team one day. My brothers and I play it all the time in our backyard...when no one is watching...of course. I'm sorry for rattling on and on about the game. I'm sure you'd rather talk about something else instead".

"Okay, Alyssa. It's time to shut up. I don't think she wants to be stuck talking with you, a 2nd year!!", Alyssa thought to herself.

Minerva jumped out of her daze and found her self looking at something she had never seen before. What was this creature. Minerva thought she heard bad elf. An elf, like Santa's elves? Oh my Minerva thought looking around how long was she in thought..
