It's that time of term again, when the weather is fine, the sun shines and students are seldom seen outdoors as Finals are taking place. On this particular day the Herbology Finals are set to take place, the theoretical component is up just before the lunch break, so be sure to be fed and watered before entering the makeshift classroom to sit the Final.
As you walk into classroom, you see that the desks and chairs are arranged in neat single file rows and each has a special quill and inkwell sitting on the corner of each desk. They’re obviously bewitched with an anti-cheating spell. Professor Bentley is standing at the front of the room, wand in hand and a stack of parchment on the desk beside her, which could only be the theoretical paper.
"Alright everyone you have one hour to complete the theoretical component of the Final, please be seated, if you have any questions raise your hand."
Seren pointed her wand at the tidy stack of parchment sitting on her desk and with a flicking motion they rose and began to distribute themselves, falling neatly in place in front of the students. "Your time starts now."
SPOILER!!: Theoretical Exam

Later in the day, some time shortly after lunch, you arrive at the greenhouses for the practical portion of your Herbology Final. You bring with you your dragon hide gloves and your wand.
As Professor Bentley calls out your name, you enter the greenhouse (one at a time) to complete the practical portion of the Final. "Good luck dear."
You are confronted with a workstation, here you find a potted Fanged Geranium, it has three heads of flowers, its bright red petals contrast beautifully against its pointy, sharp, white fangs. Other tools and supplies are found beneath the table, including pruning shears, twine, fertilizer, a packet of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, an empty jar, pliers and a number of other items. Basically whatever you might need, will be there.
"Your task today is to safely harvest these six fangs from the Fanged Geranium, in a considerate manner." Meaning do not hurt the plant, or else you'll fail and you'll find that you'll end up spending the remainder of your time at Hogwarts this term weeding the student garden. "Once you have collected the fangs and placed them in the jar provided you are to administer general maintenance care for the plant as well." Yes all that basic stuff they should know off by heart by now.
"Once you have completed the task to the best of your ability, you may clean your space and go."
OOC: You do not need to wait for us to actually call your name. Post ONLY ONCE, completing the activity and leaving.
OOC: The Herbology Final is worth a combined total of 35 points. 15 for the Theoretical and 20 for the Practical. You may chose not to do both, that is entirely up to you. Both portions of the Herbology Final is due on Wednesday the 30th November at 10am GMT.

Minerva walked into the greenhouse very nervous. This class was her first final. The first part seemed to go well, but this part scared her a bit. She smiled at Professor Bentley but couldn't get out the words to say hello. She placed her gloves on her hands and pulled out her wand. Minerva jabbed at the plant without making contact and said "Viro Torpeo" She then placed her wand down and gently put her hand around the first fang. She twisted and wiggled the fang until it came free. She placed it into the jar. She did this to the rest of the five remaining fangs. None of which gave her to much trouble except the fourth one which she had to wiggle a little longer. Once all six fangs were in the jar she closed the lid. Minerva set aside the jar and cleaned up the area around the plant. She checked to make sure no harm was done and watered the plant. Everything looked in order so she took her jar to the front of the room and handed it over. "Thank you" Minerva said as she walked out of the class.

Harvey entered the greenhouse very very nervous. This was his first final ever! in this school and he wanted to do well. He went upto the Fanged Geranium. He pulled out his wand "Viro Torpeo!" he then jabbed his wand towards the Geranium but not making contact with it, he then put his wand beside the Geranium. The spell seemed to have made it drowsy-like.
He put on his gloves and he gets a hold of a fang and gives it a gentle but firm tug downwards, the fang comes loose into his hand and he puts it into an empty jar. 1 down 5 to go. He does this with about 3 fangs and putting them into the jar.
But the Geranium now seems to be coming out of its drowsey-state, so Harvey gets his wand again "Viro Torpeo!" he jabs towards it still not making contact, Harvey again puts his wand next to the plant. He then firmly but gently tugs out 3 more fangs and puts them into the jar.
He then gets some pruning shears and prunes the Geranium a little, to make it look better. He then gets some fertilizer and sprinkles it around the base, and he then picked up his wand again "Aguamenti!" he says as he waters the plant, but not too much. He stops and takes off his gloves quickly before the Geranium comes out of its drowsey-state. He feels the soil around it and sees that it is wet and moist so he is satified.
He then returns the shears and the fertilizer to where he got them from. He then picks up his wand again for the last time "Scourgify!" he cleans up his workspace. He then gets his gloves and makes sure that everything is at it should be. "Goodbye Professor, thank you for a very eventful first year. Looking forward to seeing you next year, and most of all looking forward to your classes." he said, then all that was left was to leave, but he didnt want to, it pained him that he had to leave.
But he knew he had to, so waving the Professor Good-bye he left the Greenhouse for the final time this year.
Angelina walked into Greenhouse feeling nervous. This is the first final she has ever took at Hogwarts. She was scared she would mess something up and it would cause lost in points. She looked over at Professor Bentley, smiled and said hello. She headed towards Fanged Geranium. When she was in front of it she looked at it for a while tilted her head and then pulled out her wand. Without making contact she pointed her wand and said,"Viro Torpeo." She looked at the fanged geranium once again. After placing her wand back away she grabbed the first fang. Gently she twisted and wiggeled the fang out tell it became free. Like the fanged geranium she looked at the fang to examin it then she placed it in an empty jar. Each seemed the same as the first, but to her each one got easiler each time. After she has all six in the jar. She looked around her and cleaned up her area. She made sure everything was somewhat in the same place she could remember and checked the plante to see if she did any damage. Nothing was damaged in her sucess. She grabbed her jar and headed to Professor Bentley. She gave her the jar and said, "Thank you for the lovely lesson professor. I have enjoyed this class alot!." With one last smile she headed out of the greenhouse.

Alyssa was nervous as she entered the greenhouse. This would be the first Herbology Finals for her since she wasn't in Hogwarts the year before, and didn't know what to expect. She hadn't been able to eat much for lunch because of her nervousness but was able to drink down some orange juice just to help fill her tummy.
She waited nervously with the other students until she heard Professor Bentley call her name. Taking a deep breath, she entered the greenhouse and greeted the Professor, "Good afternoon Professor, Alyssa Potter present and ready to take my practical finals."'I hope,' Alyssa thought to herself.
She then walked over to the workstation where a potted Fanged Geranium sat. She listened as the Professor gave her the instructions on what she would be tested on. They were supposed to remove 6 fangs from the plant without hurting it.
Alyssa studied the plant first, quickly walking around it, avoiding its 3 snapping heads, as she walked around. While studying its movements, she unholstered her wand. She recalled her first lesson in this greenhouse where they had to remove the fangs off the Biting Toadstools. 'Here's hoping the same concept works here,', Alyssa thought to herself.
She approached the plant and without making contact with the first red petalled flower head, she jabbed her wand, she cast the numbing charm, saying, "Vee-row Tor-pay-oh."She then quickly jabbed her wand at the second flower and cast the same spell again. "VIRO TORPEO' and then again for the third flower head. She knew that she had to move quickly before the numbing spell wore off, but at the same time, she needed to make sure that her numbing spell had worked.
She noticed that all three heads weren't moving as fast as they were a few seconds ago. In fact, they looked drowsy and were moving sluggishly. 'Looks like the numbing spell worked', Alyssa thought to herself. Now to remove the fangs.
Alyssa holstered her wand and put on her dragon hide gloves. She then moved her hand closer to the first red petalled head. The head tried to bite her gloved hand but couldn't seem to find its mark. "Okay I think you're ready," Alyssa whispered to the plant. "Please don't fight me and I'll try to make this as quick and painless as possible for you."
Gently taking hold of the head, in one hand making sure that she didn't break any of its petals, Alyssa took a good grip on the fang and yanked in one swift downward motion. The fang came out quickly without a fight. She put the fang in the bottle and quickly proceeded to work on removing the other five fangs. As she placed the last fang into the jar and closed the lid, she noticed that the Fanged Geranium was becoming more active again.
She quickly moved away from the plant to avoid its bite while she got ready for the second part of the task which was to administer general plant maintenance. She took out a bucket, a pair of pruning shears, and a bag of fertilizer from under the table. Jabbing her wand at the plant making sure that she didn't come into contact with it, Alyssa cast the numbing charm again,"Viro Torpeo". She needed the plant to be calm while she was pruning it because she didn't want to accidentally cut off one of its stems and hurt it.
Once the plant started behaving sluggish, Alyssa picked up the pruning shears and pruned off some of the dead twigs of the plant and placed them in the bucket. Once she was done, she lay down the pruning shears and started removing the dead petals and leaves from around the plant and placed them in the bucket too. Taking out her wand, she pointed it at the base of the plant and said "Aguamentiminia Sprinkaled". Water started sprinkling out of her wand. She removed her gloves and tested the soil with her hands to make sure that it was sufficiently moist, before she holstered her wand.
She then quickly dragged over the bag of fertilizer. She put on her gloves, dug her hands into the bag, filled them with fertilizer and sprinkled the fertilizer around the base of the plant, making sure that she was breaking up the fertilizer with her fingers as she did so. She then swept all the excess fertilizer that had fallen on the workstation into the bucket.
Stepping aside she dusted off the soil from her gloves. She was done, and just in time too, as she could see that the Fanged Geraniums were waking up from their numbling stupor.
Alyssa cleaned her pruning shears with the Scourgify spell and returned that and the bag of fertilizer back under the table. She then took out a broom and a dustpan from under the table, swept up the dirt and any dead leaves around the workstation with the broom and scooped it all up in the dustpan, before pouring the contents of the dustpan into the bucket. She carried the bucket full of dead leaves, twigs and dirt and emptied it onto the compost pile at the back of the greenhouse. Alyssa then walked back to her workstation cleaned up the broom, dustpan and bucket with the Scourgify spell and once they were clean, she returned them back under the table.
She then walked back to the workstation and checked on the Fanged Geranium. It tried to take a bite out of her, so she figured that she hadn't really done any damage to it. It looked okay except for minus 6 fangs. Alyssa then remembered that she had noticed a packet of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor beans under the table, so she went to retrieve it and removed 4 beans from the packet before returning it under the table. She tossed a bean to each of the heads, which was snapped up immediately. "That's a reward for not taking a bite out of me. I do hope that the Professor doesn't mind me feeding you,"Alyssa whispered to the plant. She then popped the last flavored bean into her mouth. "Yech! cigarette ash. Here's hoping you guys had better tasting ones than I did."
Taking one last look at the plant, Alyssa packed up her things, picked up the jar of fangs and headed for the entrance of the greenouse where the Professor was waiting. "Here's the fangs that I removed, Professor. I just want to take the opportunity to thank you for an interesting year of Herbology lessons and that I look forward to being in your class again next term,"Alyssa smiled at the Professor as she handed the jar over to her. As she left, Alyssa took one last glance at the greenhouse. It would be a few months before she visited here again.

SPOILER!!: The theoretica
Elise stepped into the classroom, hair in a secure french braid. She didn't need it falling into her face for any of her finals today. Beaming at Professor Bentley, who was sitting at her desk, she waved a cheerful hello before taking a seat somewhere middle left.
She stared at the quill set on her table. No doubt it was charmed with an anti-cheat. Not that Elise would ever cheat. Never. As the papers flew onto their desks, Elise fidgeted nervously before turning her paper over to see the questions as soon as they could start.
Her quill flew quickly across the parchment, pausing only a few times for her to phrase her thoughts correctly or correct her spelling errors. After finishing, she scanned the parchment once. Twice. Checking for errors, and correcting them, Elise set her quill down and with a huge grin and a cheery wave, was out for lunch.

SPOILER!!: The Practical Portion
After lunch, Elise waited outside the greenhouse nervously, unbraiding and rebraiding her hair quickly, fingers used to the motions. Securing it just in time, Elise stepped in as soon as Professor Bentley had called the name Elise Fairfield.
Beaming at her, she whispered a grateful "Thank you, Professor." She needed all the helf she could get.
Turning around, her eyes fell on a slightly hunchbacked fanged geranium. A. Fanged. Geranium. Listening carefully to Professor Bentley as she gave the instructions for her task.
Summoning all her nonexistant Gryffindor courage even though she was a Ravenclaw, she took a step towards the fanged geranium. Spotting a box of Berty Bott's, she smiled. Professor Bentley was the best. Taking two, one a bright blue and the other a brownish black, she grinned. Nibbling the brown one, she flinched. Fertilizer. She ate the blue one though, blueberry flavoured.
Offering the bean to the plant, Elise watched as the flower scoffed it down and seemed to bow its head in thanks. Beaming, she walked closer, whispering. "You're welcome. Now, I'mm going to make this as painless as possible okay?"
"Viro Torpeo!" she said, jabbing her wand in its direction. The first flowerhead seemed drowsier. "Viro Torpeo, Viro Torpeo!" she continued for the other two flower heads.
Drowsy, not in controll of their actions? CHECK!
Once she was sure that they were numb, she took one flowerhead in her right hand and in one sharp downward motion, yanked out the first fang with her left. Placing it into the jar, she repeated the process for the other fang. One swift yank and it was done.
She turned to the other two flower heads and repeated what she had done, successfully pulling out all six fangs. Then, while the charm was still in effect, she pulled the shears towards her and began pruning. Snip, snip. Making sure that she didn't scar the stem or hurt it in any way. There, much better.
Taking a wooded splint and some twine, she stuck the splint into the soil near one particularly hunchbacked geranium and wrapped the twine around it, straightening the stem as she went. Once the stem was straight, she tied a secure knot around it and cut the balance off. Perfectly neat.
Then, she pulled towards her the small bucket of Hippogriff dung and sprinkled it carefully around the plant, patting it down into the soil snugly. Once done with that, she whipped her wand out again and cast a controlled Aguamenti. A small flow of water flowed out from the tip of her wand, watering the plant just enough. Pulling off one glove, she stuck her finger into the soil, testing its moistness. Perfect.
Then she proceeded to clear her workspace of the dead leaves and twigs and soils, sweeping them into the dustpan and adding them to the compost pile at the back. Scougifying all the equipment, she grinned. Awesome!
Taking some Bertie Bott's beans, she tossed 3 fertilizer flavoured ones to the fanged geranium, one for each flower head. "Thanks for not eating me!" she called, before popping one more into her mouth and picking up the jar.
Elise grinned widely as she made her way towards Professor Bentley. "Here're the fangs I've collected, Professor. And thanks for an awesome year," she beamed. "I can't wait to come back next year to see you and the greenhouse again."

So, today was Herbology Final Exams! Raven walked to the greenhouse with no expression. She never like this lesson, but she MUST to join it, al least until OWL.
A fanged Geranium? That was soooo easy. She still remembered what did she do with the biting toadstool and it was same actually (except, there were no pixies in exam) She took her wand and casted the spell
"VIRO TURPEO!!" she jabbed her wand to the plant.
Then, Raven wore her gloves and tried to harvest the fangs.
First fang, it kinda hard... Then she got it.
Second fang, she easily tugged it
Third fang, she harvested very easily
Fourth fang, Hmm.. It was very harder that the first. But she could take it.
Fifth fang. It was easier than before.
And... finally the last fang!! The tugged it as easy as pull out the grass.
After finished the exam, she clean the workspace
"Scourgify." She took off her gloves and leave the greenhouse
"Thanks, Professor Bentley." said her short.

It's a fairytale evening, and you want the entire event to be totally dazzling and
a real experience with the friendliest people around you.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
The moment his name was called, Daichi jumped up from his seat and walked with a confident look on his face towards the door. He flashed the Professor a bright smile before he entered. Was he nervous? NAAAAAAH! He had even fallen asleep with the Herbology book on his stomach the night before when he studied. And he had the feeling he was going to pass this exam with ease.
Taking in his surroundings once entering the greenhouse, the Second year saw the workstation and walked towards it. He looked on the table and saw the red petals from the Fanged Geranium. Which lesson had they dealed with these plants again?
Daichi shrugged his shoulders before grabbing his wand from his wristholster. But when he moved his hand the Fanged Geranium snapped at him and he yelped. "WAH! No snapping!" he said and actually pointed a finger at the flower. He quickly withdrew his finger away when it snapped again. Mweh so far for having an easy flower...
Succesfully grabbing his wand, Daichi pointed it at one of the flower heads and without touching it he shouted "VIRO TORPEO!" The flower went slightly numb as he looked , but then it snapped at him again when he got too close. "Viro Torpeo!" he shouted again and watched how one of the flower heads was now succesfully numbed.
Pointing his wand at the other, he repeated his steps until all three heads were numb and had no control of what they were doing.
Daichi held his hands on his hips and grinned at the Fanged Geranium. "HAH! Who's the boss now, huh?" Yes he talked to flowers, whatever.
He holstered his wand and ducked under the workstation to grab the dragon hide gloves. With the gloves wrapped around his hands, he got up again and bit his lip. Next step was to remove the fangs right? Daichi grabbed hold of one of the heads , careful not the break anything and with his other hand he grabbed hold of the fang. In one swift motion he yanked the fang out and held it in his gloved hand. Quickly letting go of the head of the flower , he grabbed a jar and placed the fang inside.
The next fang came out easy too, same was with the third. But on the fourth the flower seemed to get hold of his actions and in a clumsy way he almost bit the Slytherin. Re-grabbing his wand, Daichi pointed firmly at the flower head and shouted the numbing incantation again. The flower went numb for a second time and he took this opportunity to take hold of the head with one hand and carefully yet with precision he yanked the fang downwards. Four fangs were now in the jar. This was going gooood~~
Two more to go. Daichi wiped the sweat from his forehead with his upper arm. It took him a couple of minutes but finally he had removed every fang and had placed them in the jar.
Now that all the fangs were missing he checked if the Fanged Geranium was still numb before grabbing a bucket from under the table, a pair of pruning shears, and a bag of fertilizer and placed it on the surface. The flower was still sluggish and slow so it was a perfect time to move on. Grabbing the pruning shears , Daichi removed the dead twigs , petals and leaves from the plant and placed them in the bucket.
Taking out his wand again, Daichi pointed it at the base of the plant "Aquamenti!" he said but failed. Grumbling something under his breath, the boy tried again. "Aguamenti!" this time a slow jet of water came out of the wand. It wasn't much but enough to soil the ground.
Still with the gloves on, Daichi grabbed the bag of fertilizer with much difficulty because it was heavy for him but eventually he managed to place it on the desk and grabbed a handful. He sprinkled the fertilizer around the base with his fingers and smiled when he was done.
Taking a deep sigh of relief, Daichi cleaned his working station and it was then that he saw that the Fanged Geranium started to come back to life again. Making sure that everything was cleaned up, he removed his gloves and grabbed the package of flavour beans from under the desk.
........was he suppose to give those or something? HE COULDN'T REMEMBER! O_o
Maybe he did, but what if it lay there as a test and people who gave the beans failed?! Still with the package in his hand, Daichi shifted his body back and forth. Biting his lip and deep in thought. WAAAH! Remember the thing that this was going to be easy? Well, scratch that! He was seriously hoping he was doing the right thing.
Taking a glance towards the Professor, he took a deep breath and threw a bean in the direction of the Fanged Geranium. The flower ate the bean and he giggled. IT WAS SO CUTE~! When it was not snapping.... Another bean was thrown in the flowers direction and Daichi grabbed one for himself too.
He placed it in his mouth and ate it. Hmm it tasted normal... Daichi grabbed his jar with fangs and walked towards the Professor. "Professor! I'm done, look!" he held the jar up and laughed. But then his laughter changed in to a frown and the frown changed in to wide eyes. The bean he ate? Yeah it was a hot pepper bean. "HOOOOT!" He shouted and quickly placed his jar down before flailing his arms up and down. "HOT HOT HOTTTT~!" His eyes started to water and his face turned slightly red too. He stuck out his tongue and waved his hand over it, hoping to cool it down.
It didn't work of course and he quickly bowed before talking in top speed. "I-had-fun-with-the-herbology-lessons-this-year-and-can't-wait-to-start-next-year!" So basically that meant, *please don't fail me!* With another bow , the second year waved his hand over his tongue again and left the greenhouse in a hurry.
He needed milk to sooth his throat, mouth and tongue. And right NOOOOW~!
Nathan entered the greenhouse for his Herbology final feeling a bit nervous yet excited at the same time. This was his first Hogwarts final completion. He tok a seat and then quickly heard the professor give instructions. So I have to collect 6 fangs from a fanged geranium, wait, what!!!. Nathan looked to the side and saw a plant with fangs and assumed that was it. He had never seen anything like it. As he approached it he prayed the plant would not attack him. He practiced the spell he had learned in classes over and over again in his head just in case. Viro Turpeo, Vero Turpeo, Vero Turpeo... With a gloved hand he finally got hold of a fang, the plant did not move one inch which surprised Nathan and helped give him confidence that he would be ok. He yanked hard and it came loose. The plant rose up and snapped. His heart started to race and his confidence was now out the window. Nathan jumped back just barely missing the blow. His mind blanked out of fear for a moment as the plant came at him and snapped again. He crawled underneath the work station and then he realized just how much of a coward he was being. He knew the spell to knumb this beastly plant so why was he not using it. He rose from beneath the table and raised his wand, "VERO TURPEO", the plant collapsed back as if it were going to sleep. Nathan approached the plant again and carefully removed the seccond tooth with only enough force as necesary. He did the same thing for the thrird and the fourth. By the 5th tooth the plant was starting to wake up again. He raised his wand again, "VERO TURPEO". The plant collapsed back down and Nathan quickly grabbed a 5th and then finally a 6th tooth. He jarred the fangs. Yes, I did it. Now for the final maitenance. NAthan raised his wand, "augmenti", water flowed from his wand onto the plant which he quickly did his best to control before too much water flowed. He felt the sil and it was nice and moist. He was done. Now for the clean up. Nathan raised his wand, "scorgify", THe area was now clean. All the dirt from fanged geranium gone wild was gone. He looked toward prossor and said, "I'm finished, thanks for a grat year", and with that Nathan left the greenhouse onto wharever.
William walked to one of the workstations and confronted his Fanged Geranium. He didn't want to hurt the poor plant, and he remembered the spell he had learned in class. "Viro Torpeo," he said, pointing his wand at each of the three clusters of flowers. The plant would be much more cooperative with him if it was properly numbed. Just like having a bad tooth pulled, William thought to himself.
William put his dragon hide gloves on. The plant was behaving in kind of a sleepy manner, which was good. It was time for him to harvest the fangs. He approached the first cluster carefully, took out his pliers and pulled one of the fangs loose quickly. That was one down! He dropped the fang into the jar he had been given and proceeded on to the next one, which was in the same cluster. He obtained that fang easily and then moved to the other two clusters, taking the remaining four fangs easily. Now he had all six fangs in the jar and screwed the lid on tightly.
Now William had to perform maintenance on the geranium plant. He began to trim the leaves with the pruning shears, making them neater in appearance. Fortunately, the plant was still numb enough that it wasn't resisting his efforts. He made sure to get rid of all the dead stuff like twigs and leaves and the plant was looking much nicer now. "You look good," he told it. "Much prettier than before."
William then proceeded to add fertilizer to the plant's base. He noticed that one of the plant's branches seemed loose, so he used a bit of twine to tie it back into place so that it could grow properly with the rest of the plant.
"You've done very well," William said to the plant. "Here's a treat for you."
He offered the plant the bag of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. He watched as the plant began to feast on the candy, noticing that it was eating an earwax bean. Definitely not his favorite, but the plant seemed to disagree.
To each his own, William thought as he finished up at the workstation. Or perhaps in this case, its own.
Finals. This is what Janice is realy scared of. She headed for the greenhouses and took her theoritical first, and waited for her name to be called. Being a 'T', it took her quite a long time to wit. When her name was called she sighed, took her wand, water bottle, dragonhide gloves, and other things in it.
Her first impression of the Fanged Geraniums are: scary. Aren't geraniums supposed to be beautiful flowers with soft petals and without fangs? This really freak her out. And the tools Professor Bentley provided. Bertie-Bott's every flavor beans? Seriously? She laughed silently as she started her work.
She took her wand out from the foldings of her robes and a jar closer to one of the geraniums' heads while putting on her dragonhide gloves. Remembering the Numbing Charm they had learned in the first lesson of Herbology about Biting Toadtools, she jabbed the air surrounding the plant and said "Viro Torpeo!" The charm worked as the heads stop moving. She then put her wand to the side of the plant pot, far enough to ensure that the fangs won't reach for it and snap it to pieces. She put her hand on one of the razor-sharp fangs, tightened her grip, and pulled one out successfully. She put the fang in the jar and continued pulling the other 4 fangs.
The last fang, she thought uncomfortably. Her mouth suddenly dried up and she had to take a drink from the water bottle she brought in. Someone had told her that if she wants to succeed, don't think that the thing you're doing is familliar and just get through as fast as possible. It's a bit hard to do it, now that she had been 'familiarized' with the pulling routine. To ensure that it is still safe to have her hand around the geraniums, she performed the Numbing Charm again before continuing for the last fang. She pulled the fang out cleanly, and put it with the rest of the 4 fangs. Then, she put aside the jar of fangs and took the pruning shears, fertilizer, a small shovel, and another pot.
First, she trimmed some leaves of the Fanged Geranium and made it a bit less bushy. After that, she dug out the plant from the pot, putting it in the other pot after she cleaned its roots from the soil. She then used the empty pot to mix some fertilizer with the soil to put some nutrients in it, and while the soil mixture is still there she made a hole about the geranium's root size. Then, she put the plant's root inside, patted to smoothen the soil and to make it to ascend a centimeter up near the stem, as if it had pulled the soil up together as the plant grew.
She took her wand from the pot's side and said "Aguamenti" to water the plant. Not too much, she thought, and the water's output became smaller until it came out in sprinkles. She put the water just to wet the soil, and made sure there is a hole at the bottom of the pot that water could go out. At last, she's finished.
But what about the Beans? she thought. Could the plant eat it? Deciding that she would not take chances, she leave it there and continued on cleaning her table. She gathered up her stuff, sort the tools she used and put them in neat rows.
"Thanks, Professor!" she said after she's done. "I'm really looking forward towards next year's lessons!" With a smile, she went out of the greenhouse.
Luna entered the Herbology greenhouses hopefully she would be alright! ''Hello Proffeser,'' she sat at a desk and wrote down all her answers for the test part! The task hm? It was normel that's why she enjoyed Herbology so much everything but the mud bit but rest was ok-ay
''Viro-torpeo,'' she jabbed her wand she had to practise she didn't want to make a fool of herself ''Viro-torpeo,'' jab
''VIRO TORPEO,'' she said and made a jabbing motion near the plant she closed her eyes and for minute than opened one maybe not perfect but who is in second year? They hadn't exactly stopped moving but she wanted to keep it that way because she often got frustrated and probably would have thought the plant died
Luna put her gloves on and caught hold of a head and care touched one of the fangs she held it a bit tighter and pulled it slightly then stopped and did it again it and again and again felt like forever but she did eventully got it out
One down six more to go!
She carefully got another tooth and tugged it this time not to hard of course but she wanted to try different ways it would be good to have those notes in her notebook for next year she put the teeth in the jar and carefully twisted the next one and put it in the jar she started doing the pull and stop thing again since it seemed to be the best way pull stop, pull stop, pull stop....... Third tooth out! Gentle tug gentle tug!!! and another one! Carefull Twist! Last time!!!! pull stop, pull stop...
Glad that was over Luna collected all the teeth and put them in the jar then she placed it carefully on the table! Care for the plant so as in water it and fertilize? ''Aguamenti,'' she said watching the plant get it's well desvered drink! Then she moved her plant over to the sun for growth! under the window perfect!
CLEAN UP worst bit ever she decided not to use magic well not for all of it ''Scourgify,'' she said at the worst bit of mud she got a brush and sweeped up the rest of the mess on her spot of the ground and the leaves which was spuprising she took that to the compost! All done and dusted ''Thanks proffeser,''
Violet entered the greenhouse for the practical part of her Herbology final armed with her gloves and a lot of determination. The written part had been harder than she'd expected--there were a few questions there that she could swear had not been covered in class. Still, she generally had no trouble coming up with something to say about practically anything, and she knew she had been prepared, so she was pretty sure she passed, at least.
Fanged geraniums, hey? She remembered those from their first Herbology lesson, and she remembered the spell for it, too. She approached her three-headed lab partner, drawing out her wand as she approached it. The heads began to snap slightly in her general direction, but she was not afraid. She jabbed her wand at one of the heads, being careful not to touch it (see what all that practice pointing at her egg for Charms had done? She had excellent wand control now!), and spoke the incantation: "Viro Torpeo!" Immediately the geranium head began to wobble from side to side as if it were sleepy. She repeated the process twice more for each of the other two heads, until she had a groggy geranium in front of her with no more fight in it.
She stepped forward, firmly but gently grasping a head in her left hand while she firmly grasped one of its fangs with her right and pulled downward firmly in one smooth motion. The fang slid right out! She dropped that fang in the jar she found at her workstation and repeated the procedure with the second fang. She had a little trouble with the second fang of the second head--she didn't quite pull down straight enough and had to wiggle and pull for a bit longer to get it out, but out it came. She put those two fangs in the jar to join the pair she had already harvested, then turned to the third head. Did that head look just a bit more active than it had before? She hoped the spell wasn't wearing off--she had taken a bit of time on the second head. Just to play it safe, she repeated the spell: "Viro Torpeo!", and was pleased to see the head began to nod sleepily again. She completed harvesting the last two fangs with no further trouble, then screwed the lid onto the jar and set it aside.
Next she got looked at her workstation and found some fertilizer and fresh soil, which she spread carefully around the base of the still-sleepy geranium. She saw some Bertie Botts Every-Flavour Beans there, too, but didn't think that was probably good for a geranium--what if it got a booger-flavoured one or something? That would be adding insult to injury. She didn't particularly want to take a chance herself, so she left the beans where they were. She did fill a small watering can with the Aguamenti spell and watered down the new soil and fertilizer to make sure everything was nice and settled. She hoped that would make up for taking the geranium's fangs.
The plant was still groggy when she finished cleaning up her spot, and she cautiously stroked one of the flaming red heads gently for a few minutes. Then she took off her gloves, picked up her jar, and turned it in. Another final out of the way!
Salima walked into the greenhouse nervous about the final task. But she knew she could do it. She walked to her work station, took out her wand and pointed it to the toadstool and muttered "Viro Torpeo!" jabbing her wand at it. She got a firm grip of the cap and yanked out the fang. 'one down' she thought 'five to go'. With the second fang Salima had done well but it took a few yanks to try to get the fang out. The third, just as well as the first. The fourth terribly. The fifth it took a longer time to remove the fang. Finally removing the sixth fang went perfectly and didn't really take much time. She picked up all of the fangs and placed it in a jar.
After that, Salima took out her wand once more and waterd the plant with the incantation "Aguamenti." Once she was sure that the plant was watered she placed her wand on the table and put on her gloves and brought the fertilizer bag back to her work station and sprinkled the fertilizer around the plant.
After she had done with thee plant she took of her gloves and, she was sure was the final time she was going to do so, she aimed her wand at the work station and said "Scourgify" and within no time her area was clear. She took the pack of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans from under the table took out 5 Pink, Orange, Brown, Yellow, Peachy and a teal and gave the Fanged Geranium three beans, the nice looking ones of course she had already caused it enough pain. She then threw the Brown and the Teal beans in her mouth and had a mixture of dirt and salt water in her mouth which made her regret ever eating the beans.
Salima made her way towards the greenhouse door and turned to Professor Bentley and said 'Bye Professor, I've had a great year in Herbology. I now know alot more about toadstools and moon planting.' She waved and walked out of the greenhouse then muttered 'Well not so much about moon planting.' and ran excitedly up to the castle hoping there would be good news about the Quidditch match.

Kurumi had hardly been able to touch her lunch seeing how nervous she was for the practical part of their Herbology exam. It was from a lack of confidence, but more wondering if there were going to be fangs involved in this final. It was a fear that came before every final since Professor Vindictus had temporarily taught the lesson when a plant had eaten the former Herbology professor. Kurumi waited nervously outside until the door opened and she saw a younger Hufflepuff...feeding Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans to a Fanged Geranium? Huh? Weren't Fanged Geraniums more of the carnivorous variety of plants and...sugar and artificial coloring bad for them? Not to mention where had then gotten the candy from? Surely they hadn't brought it in themselves, right?
Perplexed by the scene, Kurumi waited for the student to exit before she entered herself and offered Professor Bentley a small bow. "Thank you, Professor," she squeaked in response to the professor's kind words before she stepped up to the table to see what all was there...which was a potted Fanged Geranium. Fangs...fantastic. Kurumi tried not to show her disappointment on her face - and it helped that the back of her head was towards Professor Bentley - but a small groan escaped her lips, surprising the plant that then turned all three of its bright red flowers towards her. Wait, was it smiling at her? It was certainly showing off its pearly white to her.
She jumped a bit when Professor Bentley spoke again, explaining to her the task of the final and she nodded in understanding. Time to get down to work. She set her bag on the table and first put on her dragonhide gloves to make sure that if the plant decided that it was feeling...snappy...that he hands would be protected. And, just to be double safe, she put her goggles on. Six fangs in a considerate manner. Got it.
Seeing as there was nothing on the table, she checked under it to see what all was there. Aha! So that is where the candy came from. Grabbing the box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, she slowly opened it, peeking up at the plant that seemed to be completely disinterested in anything other than swaying back and forth slowly. Good, she hoped that it stayed that way. Nodding her head in gratitude towards Professor Bentley, Kurumi popped one in her mouth and was relieved to find that it was one of the normal flavors of Toffee pudding. Just the pick-me-up she needed to get through this final.
Now, to the task at hand. Upon popping one more bean in her mouth - horseradish unfortunately - which caused her face to wrinkle up in disgust. Sure, the flavor was fantastic for clearing up ones sinuses, but the flavor was so strong that Kurumi began coughing and squeaking...which the potted Fanged Geranium did not like AT all. It's peaceful swaying was now jagged and ritualized and its three mouths snapping open and shut like how one would do in the middle of winter without a coat. She needed another bean...honey, good. It balanced out the sharpness of the horseradish.
Removing her wand now and trying to take aim at one of the red flowers - it was hard because they were ALL MOVING - Kurumi jabbed her wand towards it. "Viro Torpeo!" Thankfully, the spell hit one of the flowers right smack in the middle and its chattering teeth stopped and flopped over backwards in its pot. One down, two more to go. Jabbing again, Kurumi uttered the incantation and now there were two red flowers on pause. The third, well, it was swaying back and forth in agitation that its two friends had been hit with her spellwork, making it harder for her to focus on. "Viro Torpeo!" Oops...she missed and ended up hitting the shed behind the plant. No harm done. The shed was always in a state of being stunned anyway. One more jab and "Viro Torpeo!" There, now all three had been numbed and she could safely remove the fangs, hopefully.
Tugging on her gloves a bit, Kurumi gently pulled on the flower closest to her and stuck her finger in its mouth, slowly pushing it open and using her thumb and index finger on her left hand to keep it open. None of the Fanged Geranium's teeth would happen to be loose now, would they? Using her right hand, Kurumi wiggled a few of the fangs, but had no such luck. Oh well. Firmly grabbing a fanged, Kurumi pulled downwards and POP! One fang came out. Still keeping her left hand opening the Fanged Geranium's mouth, she bent down to grab one of the glass bottles and dropped the fang in it before returning her attention back and pulling out a fang on the other side of its mouth and dropping it into the jar as well.
Using the same two fingers she had to keep it's mouth open, Kurumi closed its gaping mouth and then moved on to the middle flower that had flopped over forwards onto the table, faceplanting on the table, and lifted it up. It's mouth was sort of opening and closing, but too groggy to do anything serious. Kurumi grabbed a from from this one and pulled down, adding it to the jar before tugging on another one and adding it to her humble collection. Gently, she set the flower back down, titling it to the side so that it wasn't faceplanting this time. She then turned her attention towards the third flower that was...chomping a bit too much for her liking. "Viro Torpeo!" she said with a small jab. The thing had already been numbed and was waking up, no need to perform too strong a spell, right? The flower flopped over with a sort of loud thud on the table, causing the Gryffindor to wince a bit, she hadn't meant for THAT to happen, and promptly lifted the blossom up and pulled the remaining two fangs from it. There, two from each of the Fanged Geranium's flowers. It would be rather terrible to take them all from the same blossom after all.
"Flipnsnipwitit," Kurumi chirped, swishing her wand back and forth around the still numbed Fanged Geranium, trimming off any dead leaves and excess foliage that could prevent growth on the plant. After placing these bits of plant in the compost pile, Kurumi grabbed some hippogriff dung from the shed - perfect for this time of the month according to her moon chart even if she found the whole thing to be rubbish and mixed that in with the soil. Picking up her wand again, Kurumi pointed it at the soil. "Aguamenti," she whispered as a small stream of water came from her wand and coated the soil with a thin layer of water. There that should do it.
Kurumi took a step back now and pointed her wand at the potted plant. "Finite," she chirped and instantly the effects of her Numbing Charm were erased. It's stems straightened and its mouths slowly opened and closed, clearly noticing that it had had some of its fangs removed.
Kurumi grabbed the jar from the table top and looked things over. She hadn't really made a mess to begin with, so there wasn't much to clean up. The Gryffindor removed her gloves and goggles, placing them back in her bag, and she took out another bean from the box and popped it into her mouth before spitting it right back out into her hand. Earthworm...strangely fitting given the circumstances, but also terribly disgusting.
Having placed the partly chewed candy in her other pocket, Kurumi brought her jar over to Professor Bentley and handed it to her. "Thank you for another fantastic term, professor," she smiled. "And for the Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans." Bowing once more, Kurumi adjusted the strap on her bag and popped one last bean into her mouth before heading out of the greenhouse to allow the next student to enter. As she did, she popped one more bean into her mouth. Mashed potatoes....not exactly what she had been hoping for, but it did remind her that it was almost dinner time. The prefect glanced over her shoulder one last time and saw that the Fanged Geranium was moving more at its usual speed, mouth snapping open and closed per usual, and smiled once more in Professor Bentley's direction before exiting the greenhouse.
One more final down...several more to go...

Beatrice inhaled deeply as she placed her wand in her wand holster and her dragon hide gloves inside her cloak's pocket while she walked down to the Grounds. She was on her way to the Greenhouses to take the Practical Exams for their Finals test in Herbology. The Theoretical exam which was conducted earlier that same day had ended rather successfully for her. Okay, so not to boast or anything but the set of questions given by their ever pleasant Herbology Mistress wasn't too hard. It was average. And if something was average then the first year would be able to do it.
As she entered the Greenhouses, she noticed that a bunch of students were seemingly posted on either corners. She wondered at first, but when she saw Kurumi emerging from inside, it occurred immediately to her that they were actually being called one by one, and given each one's turn. She had an absolutely lucky timing though because next to the Gryffindor prefect, her name was called. How it went down to her going after Kurumi she did not know but one thing was sure, she was just in time for her turn.
"Thank you Professor Seren." Beezus said and gave their Professor a beaming smile as she headed over to the workstation. Time for the plants to roll!
**********
"Geranium." She identified upon seeing the fanged plant. Sure, the plant was majestic in a sense that it had three heads of flowers that gleamed beautifully under the sunlight and that its pointed and sharp fangs had rather complimented its features. Honestly though, it was one healthy looking Geranium.
Six fangs? That would much likely mean that she was to take two fangs from each flower head, correct? And in a considerate manner too? Well of course..their main objective was to take into consideration every plant's welfare. "Yes Professor." She said with a small nod and proceeded to the table. Dear potter fanged Geranium, please be kind to me. Beezus mumbled in her head.
Now, time to face the task at hand. Beezus focused hardly on the very first lesson they had this term because that time, they were taught by Professor Bentley herself how to correctly harvest a toadstool's fangs. First was the make the plant numb. Yes, that was it. And the incantation..."Viro--" She closed her eyes as she concentrated on her memory. "Something like torpedo..Viro..uhm..Viro Torpeo!" And there was a snap of fingers. "That's it."
After being able to remember the Numbing Charm, she walked nearer to the plant. It was rather a calm one, it was snappish at all but proper caution must always be observed. She pulled her wand out. "Viro Torpeo!" She muttered with a wand jab. Her wand emitted a light that hit one of the flower heads and it sort of started nodding. She aimed for the second one on the center. Of course she would need to stun all three heads first right? "Viro Torpeo!" And hit, with a groggy effect on the flower. "Viro Torpeo." Then the last one started shifting on the sides uncontrollably, causing some of its precious petals to fall. "Oh goody.. I better hurry."
And with that, Beatrice quickly took out her dragon hide gloves and placed it on her hands. She would be taking out the fangs now. Moving closer to tha plants, she took hold of one of the flower heads, firmly holding it as she yanked out a fang. Success! She then placed it on the jar provided for them to use. The second fang she was able to harvest without much difficulty for it was soft to pull out.
She walked over to the other side of the table, carrying the jar with her. She wanted to have a better view of the plants while she do the harvesting. She stopped a little to the right from the center and pulled the head of the flower on the center towards her. Firmly hold the cap. But not too tight. Then she pulled on the third fang.
Pull. Pull. Pull. But it won't be pulled out. "Come on." Her hands were starting to get sore with the pulling. But it still won't budge so she decided to move on over to the one on the other side. Fortunately enough, it didn't gave her any problems for the fangs from it were yanked out quickly and easily. Yet..she needed two more fangs and she needed to harvest it from the flower on the center or else her plan to take only two fangs from each flower head would be ruined. Maybe I should hit it with another numbing charm? And the Ravenclaw girl did. And then with much hope, she held the flower, touched the fang she wanted to harvest and EEIINK! There goes the fifth fang. After placing it on the jar, she held the flower again and with another long EEEEEIIIIINNNNNKKK! The sixth fang was yanked out!
Beezus wiped the sweat on her forehead as she bent down and grabbed a pruning shears. They would need to make their unfanged Geranium look beautiful. She inspected the plant carefully and started pruning some deranged part near the stem and some damaged portion of its leaves. Prune. Prune. Prune. Then she scooped a fair amount of fertilizer and plastered it near the roots. Her eyes caught sight of a ball of twine too. And it occurred unto her, a twine? How would they be able to use it? Maybe they should have tied the Geranium when they were harvesting its fangs? Gaaahhh, no chance. She wanted to wonder more but she knew that she ought to hurry up for the plants started moving and swaying now which meant that the Charm must be wearing off. Being satisfied with its appearance, she grabbed her wand once more, "Aguamenti." And water spurted from her wand. A little while after, the plants had moved lively again, the charm was now removed completely.
She started cleaning afterwards, returning the tools she have used and such. Beezus also noticed a packet of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans beneath the table together with the tools. What in the world is a treat doing in there? Will they feed it to the plants? She smirked at her thoughts. They would feed the plants with such? It didn't sound good so she took the packet with her and decided that it was just a treat for them given by their lovely Professor.
"Here you go Professor." She said, handing over the jar with six fangs inside. "And thank you so much!" She bowed. "See you around Professor Seren.." Beatrice beamed. Then she walked out of the Greenhouse, propped a bean inside her mouth and shrieked all of a sudden.

Herbology final. One of her favorite classes, and one of her favorite professors. With a bright smile, she stepped into the greenhouse and greeted Professor Bentley with a hello. She thought that her theoretical portion had gone well, and she hoped the practical was just as good.
As the professor detailed the task, Kourt passed a wary eye over the Fanged Geraniums. They looked sort of dangerous, especially with those lethal looking fangs. She only hoped that she wouldn’t get bit, but she wouldn’t if she did as she was supposed to.
With a resolute nod, Kourtney pulled on her dragonhide gloves and raised her wand. For a moment, she studied the three heads of the plant, its vivid red petals catching her eye. Alright then. She needed to make use of the numbing charm to make this easier.
“Viro Torpeo !!” She cast, jabbing the wand at the first head of the plant, but not too close to where she would have hit it. She studied the first head and gently stretched her hand forward towards it. The charm appeared to have worked for the head attempted to make a snap at her hand, but it was a weak one and she was able to withdraw her hand quickly.
Fantastic. She repeated the “Viro Torpeo” on each of the other two heads. The first charm hit its target right on, but the second just grazed the other head as it moved at the last moment. Oh dear.
She drew a target on the moving head, which was moving slightly slower now. The initial spell appeared to have hit it, but not in full force. Kourtney cast the spell again, this time hitting it squarely in the middle.
Now to remove the fangs….She made sure that her gloves were secure and approached the first head. She placed a hand on top of the head, closing her fingers in a gentle, but firm grip and used her other hand to grab hold of the fang. The head made little attempt to stop her, and she yanked her hand in a quick, downward motion.
The fang easily slid out and she dropped it into the nearby jar while still holding onto the head so that it didn’t move. There were two fangs per head, so she had five more to go. She repeated the process with the second fang, yanking it in a downward motion once more. Success!
Before she began the work on the second head, she studied the plant for a moment, just to make sure it was still numb enough. It wouldn’t be a fun experience to get a bite. Once she had determined that it was safe, Kourt began to work again, pulling out the two additional fangs with little to no trouble.
One more head to go. And this was the one that she had to hit twice with the numbing charm. The head appeared woozier than the others, bobbing slightly on its stem. Again, she held onto the head with one hand, and yanked with the other. Uh…..oh.
The fang wasn’t moving. She yanked again. There was a little give. Now why was this one being so difficult? Yet another yank, this time pulling with all of her strength.
Eh..that might have been a little too hard. She nearly lost her grip on the head of the plant and the fang nearly flew from her hand. Sheepishly, she dropped the fang into the jar. Now to the final fang. This one didn’t give her any trouble at all, sliding easily from the plant.
Now that the collection was complete, she surveyed the rest of the items on the table. So she would prune, water, and fertilize. No problem.
Picking up the shears, she walked around the plant to determine which parts needed to be pruned. Once she had determined this, she set to work, pruning bits of the plant that could possibly stunt its growth. It didn’t appear to need much pruning, but it was always best to keep a plant neat without the excessive stuff.
Now to water it…She picked up her wand again, waved it, and cast Aguamenti! A stream of water flowed from her wand and she walked around the plant, making sure that the water was evenly distributed. There had to be plenty of water for the plant to grow, but one shouldn’t over-water it. Then it would just make the soil a sopping mess.
Next step was the hippogriff fertilizer. She scooped up a handful of it and sprinkled it around the base of the plant. It appeared as though the numbing charm was starting to wear off, as the plant seemed a bit more vigorous. Kourt finished distributing the fertilizer, and stepped back.
Done.
With that, she removed her gloves, cleaned her workspace with the Scourgify charm, and picked up the bag of Bertie Botts. Yum.
Kourtney carried the jar to the professor and lifted it towards her. “Here you are, Professor Bentley. Thanks for the great year and for the sweets!” She grinned again and then made her way out of the greenhouse. “Goodbye!”
Ira was getting a bit fidgety and nervous...After all, this was her first final at Hogwarts. Well, her Herbology theoretical paper sailed smoothly but she was in doubt about the practicals. She hoped that the practicals were also gonna be easy.
As her name was called, Ira entered the greenhouse along with her gloves and wand. "Hello, Professor Bentley" she greeted. She headed towards the table which contained a potted fanged Geranium. Oh, so she had to harvest six fangs. That wouldn't be so bad. And also administer general maintenance. That too seemed fine.
Ira got out her wand and jabbed it without touching the plant and "Viro Torpeo". The plant appeared to be drowsy. So she hoped her numbing charm had worked correctly. Then putting on her dragon hide gloves, Ira got to work. Carefully she approached the plant and touched it. It didn't seem to protest or anything.
Remembering the lesson in which professor had taught them to harvest toadstool's fangs, Ira gently yet firmly, grabbed hold of one head of a flower and with her other free hand, quickly pulled out the fang. It came out quite easily. In the same way, she pulled out the other five fangs and put them in the jar provided. Finally the difficult part was over. It seemed that the plants were ready to wake up. Now she had to administer general care.
She took out a bucket, a pair of pruning shears, and a bag of fertilizer from under the table. Ira cast the numbing charm again on the plant. She of course wouldn't want the plant to get hurt. She then pruned the dead twigs, and leaves. She then took some of the fertilizer and sprinkled it on the plant. Then she cast the spell, "Augmenti" and poured some water too. Now the plant looked all nice and green and fresh. Her numbing charm was now wearing off. It seemed that the plant could notice that it had lost its fangs. She collected all the dirt from the ground and put them into the dustbin. She also cleaned the table. Yayy Herbology Finals Over!!!
"Professor Bentley, I'm done with the practical..."she said, "I'll be looking forward to the next term." Smiling, she went towards her tower.

Herbology final. Yay. Indiana loved herbology, so she was looking forward to this a lot. Even if it was a final, which were kind of stressful. With a smile, Indy entered the greenhouse. She was feeling ready for the final though. It was one of her best subjects. So it was going to be fun. She smiled at Professor Bentley, before wandering over to the bench. Even though this was a final, she was going to have as much fun as she could with it. Yaay. Ooh. They had to harvest fangs! She knew she could harvest the fangs well, so she figured that she would be good at this. She pulled her wand out, as she stepped closer to the plant. This was going to be fun.
"Viro Torpeo!" She tried to say it as confidently as possible, and luckily the first head of the plant looked like it was sleepy, and numb. That was good. She knew the spell had worked now. Okay. She continued to do the spell onto the other two heads of the plant, watching as it went all sleepy. Good. Now she wasn't going to hurt the little plant. Indiana pulled on her gloves, and moved on to pulling the fangs from the first head of the plant. They were a little tough, and she had to yank it a little harder. But it came out. Perfectly. Indiana moved on to yanking the rest of them out. Six right. She stuck her tongue out a little a she yanked them. Having to hold onto the bench a little to stop herself falling over. Maybe she wasn't as good as this as she had though. Hmm. But she'd managed to get 6 out. So that was fine.
Ooh. Look. There was some Bertie Botts on the desk. Indiana giggled, as she placed her jar of fangs down, and popped a Bertie Bott into her mouth. Ooh Popcorn. Yummy. Moving on though. She picked up the sheers, and sheered the plant where it was necessary. Making sure to be careful not to hurt the plant too much. Ahh. It looked nice and pretty now. The last thing Indy was going to do was water the plant. She carefully filled the watering can with water, before watering the plant gently. There. All done. The little ravenclaw smiled, picked up another bertie bott and put it into her mouth before leaving the greenhouse.

Oooh! Herbology final. This was surprisingly enough the final Kennedy has been looking forward to. He took a seat in one of the front desks and waited for the written part to be passed. When he got it he quickly wrote down his name and the usual information in the corner of his paper. Then he raked his brain for all of the needed knowledge for this part of the final.
Once he was done, he turned it in and made his way out and into the castle. He was glad that he was getting a lunch break, at least there he could study a bit more before they second part of this final.
_ _ _
Right after lunch Kennedy headed back to the Herbology greenhose where the last part of this final would take place. Truth be told, he spent his entire lunch hour re-reading his notes over and over. Sure his mom has told him many times that he couldn't always do everything perfect, but at least he could try. So, with a mind full of Herbology related matter he stepped inside once his name was called.
“Hello, Professor Bentley,” he greeted with a nervous smile. He was always nervous about finals, they determined a significant amount of his grade, so yeah.
He walked over to the working area where he would be performing the extraction of six fangs. “Soooo, we meet again,” he said to the Fanged Geranium as he put his dragonhide gloves on. Yeah, the thing didn't know him at all, but acting made him feel less nervous. He snapped the gloves on and winced when when they pinched his arm hair. He shouldn't have done that, but oh well, the boy was a Herbology “dentist” for today.
“Okay, so I'll make this as painless as I can,” he said, attempting to pet the Fanged Geranium, but it snapped at him. He quickly jumped back, craddling his hand. That was a close one. Phew. “No, no, no,” he said, wagging his index finger at it. “No need to be mean.” Yeah, he just told it that he was going make this painless, but then again who would react happily to knowing that they teeth, in this case fangs, were going to be extracted. He would be trying to bite whoever tried getting near his teeth.
He took out his wand and pointed it at the Fanged Geranium. “Viro Torpeo!” Waalah! The plant suddenly got a dazed look and began to slightly sway from side to side. He did it!
Woooot!
Now, for the extraction part. He poked it once, then twice, then a third time to make sure that it wasn't so vicious. Kennedy did not want to lose a finger in his favorite subject. He firmly placed a hand above the Fanged Geranium's mouth and positioned his index finger and thumb from his other hand around a fang. This was the part that he didn't like. He was never going to understand how dentists could live with themselves knowing what they did to someone's mouth. He decided to make this fast and pulled down, fast.
YANK!
SHUUUUUDDER!
That was a sickening sound to his ears. He didn't like the sound of the fang detaching from flesh. He didn't was to be a dentist anymore. Couldn't he plant a Puffapod instead. They would be great for decorating the greenhouse. He looked over to Professor Bentley and felt his cheeks go red.
No.
He was going to get this done. For her. Yeah. He could do this. He returned his attention back to the Fanged Geranium, who was still swaying in a confused daze. He pulled the second fang, then the third, fourth, fifth, and...
SNAP!
Just in time, Kennedy pulled his hand away from from the very alive Fanged Geranium with a suprised look on his face. When did it stop being all dazed up? He looked down at his hand to make sure that he wasn't missing any fingers. Nope...wait! The tip of his gloves was missing. He glared at the Geranium. “You!...You owe me new gloves!” he said, grabbing his wand. “But, i don't think you have enough money to do so...Viro Torpeo!” The thing went back to its previous state and Kennedy took advantage of it and pulled the sixth fang. He gathered the six freshly plucked fangs and placed them inside a glass jar. He took a piece of tape a paper and put it on the jar with his name and house on it.
He gently poked the Fanged Geranium to make sure that it was still out of it, which it was. Now it was time to do the general maintainance. He raised his wand once more and said, “Flipnsnipwitit,” clipping all the diebacks in the plant. He made of pile of all the dead leaves and hoisted the hippogriff fertilizer up on the table. Oh how he didn't like this stuff, but it was good for the plants so he wasn't going to complain about it. Before touching the dung he looked under the table for an extra pair of gloves since his had a hole. He found them and put them on. Then he grabbed a handful with his dragonhide covered hand and sprinkled it around the Geranium and ran his hand gently through the soil like a rake. There. The plant should like that when it came back to its senses.
Kennedy rubbed his hands together to get rid of the left over hippogriff dung on his gloves. He was almost done. Pointing his wand at the plant he said, “Aguamenti.” He revolved his wand around the Geranium and some accidentally splashed near the plant's mouth, and he was about to clean it off when the Fanged Geranium began snapping once more.
IT WAS ALIVE...and just in time.
He was done. Instead of glaring at it, Kennedy smiled. “We are done here, thank you for your patience.” Pfft, yeah right. That thing wasn't patient at all, but he still enjoyed it nonetheless. The Fanged Geranium began to sway, trying to get as near to Kennedy as it could, but they boy was too busy cleaning his work area.
“Scourgify,” he said, cleaning the fertilizer and water that he had accidentally spilled on the table. When he was done with that he took the dead leaves to the compost pile so they could...do whatever they did. He saw the Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans packet and grinned broadly. How did Professor Bentley know he LOVED sweets, especially after a day of hard work? She was cool.
After making sure his area was clean and the Fanged Geranium was crasily swaying to attack him, Kennedy picked up the jar with six fangs and made his way to the Herbology professor. “Here you are,” he said, with a bashful smile and handed her his labeled jar. “Thank you for this great year, Professor Bentley.” And now his face was growing red. “I hope you have a fun summer,” he said, sincerely and made his way to the exit.
Why was he acting all weird and stuff? And his cheeks...they were bright red. Kennedy gulped as he walked out, he did not just think Professor Bentley was pretty. Asdfjkl...He DID!

Tori entered the Herbology final with quite a pep in her step. She settled down to take the theoretical portion of the exam, her quill flying across the page as if she were a professional scribe. Once that was done, it was on the practical portion.
Tori made certain her gloves were on nice and tight before she started anything. She eyed the fanged geraniums and wished they were just a little... nicer, and not so snappy, because then she might consider growing some at home. Come to think of it, as long as they didn't eat her pygmy puff, she might grow them anyway. Heh, why not... they could make a great gift for her evil stepmother. Yessss....
With that cheering thought in mind, Tori flicked her wand at the ducking and bobbing geraniums, casting, "Viro Torpeo!" as she did so. The first geranium was hit by the spell right away, and it froze in mid-snap. Awesome. Tori started to reach for its fangs when the second geranium saw what she was doing and went in to try to bite her.
"Oooh no ya don't!" the redhead murmured, quickly withdrawing her hand. "Viro Torpeo!" she cast on that one too, and then on the third geranium as well for good measure. With them all frozen in place, Tori quickly got to work gently yanking their fangs out. They sure made a satisfying POP! when they came out. Whew.
She placed the collected fangs into the provided jar as she went, and just as she finished with the third fanged geranium, the plants all woke up from their little stunned slumber. Ah crap, how was she supposed to trim them now?!
"Viro Torpeo!" the redhead cast again, once on each little plant so that they froze in place once more. She knew they couldn't bite her, obviously, but she also knew that she might accidentally chop an entire geranium down if they kept moving around like that.
She got to work trimming them next, deciding to use her wand as a trimmer with the aid of, "Flipnsnipwitit!" Hehehehee. Tori loved this spell. She trimmed the fanged geraniums into nice, tidy little flowers, and then went on to trim up their leaves and such as well.
Tori tidied the trimmings into a neat pile and deposited them on the compost pile. She came back to finish up with her plants by fertilizing them. Ugh, the hippogriff dung smelled horrid but whatever, it was all for the good of the plants. With that done, Tori hurried to water them before they all woke up and just as she finished casting, "Aguamenti!" on the last geranium, all three in her planter were animated and lively as usual, still biting at the air even without their fangs.
"Thanks for the stuff!" she giggled at the plants, shaking her jar of fangs at them as she waved bye. She made sure her work station was nice and clean, which it was because Tori cleaned as she went, and then she headed over to the professor.
"Here are the six fangs I collected, Professor Bentley," Tori said kindly, handing them over to her. She paused, and then gave the professor a surprise hug, much like she had done for Scabior. Only the BEST professors got hugs though. "Thanks for some great, fun lessons this term! Have a nice summer!" Tori smiled and then skipped out the door, as happy as she had been when she entered.

The Herbology Final seemed good and ready for Sierra, but the only thing was--she wasn't at all good and ready for it. Did she know the material? Of course she did. She'd sat in class all school year long, hadn't she? There really wasn't anything she was unsure about; however, final exams and Sierra Greingoth just didn't get along. For one, she was completely sick of them. It felt like she'd been taking them night and day for the past week, and she was more than ready for the summer break.
She paused as she stepped into the greenhouse, her wand already flicked out in one hand and her dragonhide gloves in the other. When it was her turn to face the final, Sierra headed straight for the workstation, eyeing the Fanged Geranium that waited there. She mentally reviewed the instructions she'd been given and then immediately set to work. She actually didn't mind harvesting the fangs--they could be used as potions ingredients, and that was right up her alley.
She peered over at the red flowers of the plant, taking note of how they were snap, snap, snapping at her--just waiting to get a bite of her hand. With a sigh and another look toward the plant, she slipped on her gloves and checked to make sure they were securely protecting her hands. Goggles. She should put those on, too. You know, just to be on the extra safe side. No one can ever be too careful when dealing with these things. There was a pair beneath the table, so she scooped them up and put them on before doing anything else.
...and now it was time to get down to business. They plant was still snapping away, an action that endlessly annoyed Sierra. She eyed it again, this time giving it a not-so-nice expression. A glare, to be exact. Sierra ducked out of the way of a particularly snappy part of the plant, and then she aimed her wand directly at one of the red flowers. With a jab, she said, "Viro Torpeo!" In the blink of an eye, the first flower fell still, causing Sierra to breath a sigh of relief. Okay, ...now what? She felt a slightly strong gust of wind at the edge of her arm and realized that she'd nearly stepped too close to the second flower. It had snapped at her, causing the gust of wind she'd felt second earlier. "Viro Torpeo!" she said, jabbing her wand toward that flower, as well. Now there were two still flowers, a thought that comforted Sierra only slightly, but at least it was better than three snapping flowers. She was quick to turn toward the third one, not wanting to make the same mistake that she'd nearly made seconds earlier. "Viro Torpeo!" she said, but the flower was moving way too much. It managed to narrowly miss the spell, and Merlin it was not very happy now. Sierra wasn't about to give up, though. She hadn't fought off the first two for nothing. "Viro Torpeo!" she tried again, giving her wand a particularly forceful jab. This time, the spell worked, and she was left with three perfectly still flowers.
Now she needed to get a move on before they woke up, no doubt angrier than they'd been before. Sierra tugged a flower closer to her, and then gently pushed her finger inside its mouth. She felt around until her finger met a fang, and then she grasped it as gently as she could and pulled. Out popped one fang. Sierra used one hand to hold the flower open while she used another to drop the fang into a jar she'd opened at some point in the beginning. She then pulled a second fang out the flower, adding it to the jar, as well, only seconds later. Now then. Two down, four to go. Sierra removed her hand from the first flower, causing it to close quickly before the plant drooped back into place. With that, she pulled the second flower closer to her. She repeated all the steps she'd done before, beginning with opening the flower and then using the other hand to pull the fangs out. She took two fangs from this flower and added them to the same jar she'd dropped the others into.
That was when she felt a slight pull on the sleeve of her uniform. She tugged away quickly, knowing without even turning around what had happened. The third flower had awakened and had attempted to bite her! She turned sharply toward it. "Viro Torpeo!" she said, jabbing her wand in its direction. The plant stilled just as she'd hoped it would, but that didn't stop Sierra from eyeing the other two. Luckily, they hadn't awakened, but Sierra would need to hurry in case they did. She gently poked her finger into the third flower, and then she used her other hand to pull two fangs from this plant, as well. After dropping those two fangs into the same jar she'd been using, Sierra had harvested the six fangs she'd needed to.
...and now it was time to use the one spell Sierra disliked more than any other. Flipnsnipwitit. She thought the incantation was silly, and therefore she hated using it. Even so, if she wanted points for this final exam, which she did, she'd need to use it. ...and so the plant got a haircut. "Flipnsnipwitit!" she said, trimming off some dead leaves and some particularly unruly pieces. "Flipnsnipwitit!" She did this over and over again until all the unruly pieces were nicely trimmed. She gathered the cut pieces and added them to the compost pile. On her way back, Sierra grabbed a container of Hippogriff dung--ewww--and made way back to the plant. She packed an appropriate amount of dung into the soil and then aimed her wand toward the mixture. "Aguamenti!" she said, giving the soil/dung mixture a nice shower.
Sierra then set to work tidying up her work area. No sense in leaving it in a mess if house points were involved, which they were. She returned the goggles and grabbed a box of Bertie Bott's while she was at it. She scooped up her jar of fangs, and then, as much as she hated to do so, ended the spell she'd put on the plant. "Finite!" she said, aiming her wand right toward it. The plant sprang to life again, giving Sierra the cue to leave the area. Once she was in a safety zone, she removed her gloves and stuffed her wand back into its holster.
As she strolled over toward the professor to turn in the jar of fangs, Sierra popped a jellybean into her mouth. She immediately went into a coughing fit. "Rotten egg...," she mumbled, swallowing quickly and making a face as she did so. She tried to smile as she handed the jar of fangs to Bentley. "Bye, Professor," she said. Unable to speak much, she pointed to the box of candy. "Thanks..." With that, she exited the greenhouse, happy that at least one more final was out of the way.
Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna
Gideon returned to the greenhouses after lunch, armed with his gloves and wand as directed and pretty much assumed even if it hadn't been. After all it was the practical part of the herbology exam and one could natural assume they were to get their hands dirty. So at the appointed time, the fourth year Gryffindor was outside the greenhouses awaiting his turn to be called in and when his name was finally called, he entered the appropriate greenhouse as ready as he could be for the exam. He nods once simply at the Professor's words of good luck before glancing around taking in what he had to work with. His attention returning fully to Bentley as she speaks up once more explaining the task at hand, careful to listen intently to each and every word to know everything he needed to know.
Fanged Geraniums...not the nicest of plants but bearable to deal with. One just simply needed to know how to and since they had learned it in an earlier class either this term or last, one had to simply think back and try to remember what they had learned.
Right...now to begin.
"Viro Torpeo," he cast, aiming his wand and moving it with a jab along with the incantation at the plant to numb it. The fourth year wasn't sure it had much effect other then to cause the plant to react to it and trying to attack him for it. Gideon stepped back to get away and worked to focus before trying again. "Viro Torpeo!" The magic certainly appeared to work this time as the plant's movements seemed to slow until they were calmer then they had been before and very close to perfectly still.
All he had to do now was remove the fangs.
Easier said then done it was for the first two proved to be a challenge as he took a secure hold of each in turn, twisting and manuevering for a bit before they finally gave way. Gideon had almost taken out the pliers they had been given but they proved unnecessary and remained where they were stashed. The rest of the them were a little easier as if he had gotten the hang of how to do it and one by one after a bit of grabbing, twisting and pulling, he eventually had six fangs in the jar he had been dropping them in while he worked. He let out a small sigh of relief before realising that the hard part may be over but he wasn't finished.
"Viro Torpeo," Gideon cast once more to insure the plant was kept calm as he moved on to his general caretaking. First he added some fertilizer around the base of the plant, patting it down onto the soil before brushing the excess off his gloves. Then taking up the pruning shears, the Gryffindor gave it a nice trim around its three heads. Finally he gave the plant a small sprinkling of water with a quick "Aquamenti" charm.
Putting his wand away now done with his exam, he gathered up the jar of fangs and cleaned up his workspace before heading back towards where the professor was."Thank you Professor Bentley...for a great year," he replied coming in front of the woman. With a gentle polite smile, he handed over the jar before turning and leaving the greenhouse so the next student could come in.
Super Slytherin Buddy | | ⅓ She-Snake Trio | | a normal girl with normal knees
The theoretical seemed simple enough to her, though it was always the practical that had her surprised. Making her way down to the greenhouses, she’d waited for her turn not so patiently with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. She'd had better things to do than wait who knows how long to be called in for a final that dealt with plants. Alas though, her name was finally called, and after the quick smile towards Bentley, the Slytherin girl eyed the workstation. Meh, they were supposed to deal with toadstools that had fangs.
She should've expected.
Rubbing the back of her hand over her forehead, looking at the fanged geraniums, she leaned down a little to see what was underneath the workstation; forehead naturally creasing in confusion at the packet of Bertie Bott’s Beans. Thank Merlin there were gloves. She forgot to bring her pair.
Glancing towards the Professor, she nodded somewhat to show she understood as she shoved the gloves on, ready to get this over with. First thing was first, she had to 'numb' it or whatever it was called so Bentley didn’t get all RAWR!crazy at her for hurting them. Taking out her wand from its holster, she stared at the three, debating which one to go for first. Perhaps, the far right one. Jabbing her wand at the plant, as practiced in class, she said, "Viro Torpeo." Be numb you fanged thing from crazy Bentley land!
Placing her wand down on the side of the workstation, she pulled the jar she was supposed to put the fangs in a little closer so it wouldn't cause any difficulty before mentally preparing herself. There wasn't much she could physically prepare herself with, other than having the gloves on. Grabbing the plant, making sure to be gently at the same time, she searched for the tooth, or at least tried very hard to get a good grip on it. Why did the plant have to struggle, hmmm? It was making it difficult on the both of them, and Evelyn had half the mind to just stun the dang thing but…
Bentley was there. Stunning the plant would have to only been executed by thought process then. It was a total fail.
Finally grasping the tooth, she gave a good tug, grinning and giving a little noise of triumph as the tooth was now not part of the plant anymore. She was quite aware of the biting the other two were trying to do on her hand, but since she couldn’t quite feel it with the gloves on, it was ignored. Placing the first fang in the jar, beaming just a little more at the sound it made hitting the glass, she went in for the second fang, finding that it was a bit easier to obtain it than the first. With the second fang in the jar, she let go of the fanged geranium and picked up her wand once more.
"Viro Torpeo. Viro Torpeo." Numbering the second and third ones, Evelyn scowled a little at their continued attempts to bite. Not bite her hand though. Bite her WAND. That was not cool.
Scoffing quietly, the Slytherin put her wand down again, and went to pull out the third fang. Their biting attempts were in fact becoming more and more annoying as the third and fourth fang were quite a bit harder to get out than the first and second, and finally after one of them had missed her gloved and got her arm instead, she didn't play nice anymore. She had patience when it came to planting things like roses and daisies, but things that bit her wasn't worth it in her opinion. Alas, she continued to be gentle when holding the flower, but she pulled the fangs out quick and clean. Whether that hurt or not, she didn't quite care. The numbing charm should've worked anyhow.
The final two fangs were acquired in record timing (or so it seemed), and as the sound of them clinking against the class of the jar as well as the four other fangs, it was like music to her ears. That's right, geraniums. Don't mess with the Slytherin! Snakes had fangs of their own. Hissss.
Now for the general maintenance care, correct? The leaves looked fine to her, perhaps just one looking as if it were going to shrivel up soon. Aw, Bentley totally gave her the one that practically didn't need much care at all on purpose, didn't she? Yea, she totally did. Since she didn't particularly want to accidentally cut off something that wasn't supposed to, and since her aim wasn't a hundred percent accurate on things that moved like these plants (that had the tendency to BITE and jostle her hand), Evelyn bent down and searched the contents underneath the workstation, looking for something she was sure she saw before she started this task. Aha! There they were. Pruning shears.
While she was mostly opposed to doing things 'the muggle way', she made a great exception when it came to Herbology. If she'd seen those pliers, or even knew how to use them, she would've put them to good use for this task as well. Acting quickly, she cut off the part that was needed, and placed the shears back where they belonged. Wasn't so difficult now was it, Mr. Annoying Geranium? No, it wasn't.
Alas, it was the moment she wasn't looking forward to. She'd rather deal with a hundred fanged geraniums than to touch fertilizer; even with gloves on. On the bright side, these weren't her gloves, so it didn't particularly matter if she got them extra dirty. Why they would be extra dirty, she didn't know. But she didn't care! Picking up a handful of the fertilizer, she sprinkled it around the plant, avoiding the bites of she could. What kind of fertilizer it was, she wasn't all that sure, but it was the only one there; unless any others were hidden behind objects underneath the station.
Mixing it into the soil, Evelyn took the gloves off and let herself smile a little. Almost down. Picking up her wand, she pointed it towards the soil of the plant, and cast "Aguamenti" while keeping both her wand and hands away from biting length. Not too much water though because otherwise... Bentley glares would probably be earned.
Taking a look at her work, the Slytherin girl cleaned her space and breathed a sigh of relief. This was the last Herbology final she'd be taking. That felt like both a weight was lifted off of her shoulders, and something else she just couldn't quite put her finger on. It was weird though, whatever it was. "Good day, Professor Bentley." she grinned as she made her way back to the door to leave.
Done done done. Now back to studying some more for other subjects.
