Cassie needed to see head Master Tate like right now. She felt a bit nervous because she had never really been to the head master's office before but this couldn't be left a lone. Josh was going to be unfairly punished and before that happened she needed to fix it.

Instead of sitting and taking a seat, Cassie paced in front of the stone gargoyles occasionally glancing up at their ugly faces.

A old and short man, only three feet in size, slowly marched through the second floor corridor in the direction of the Headmaster's office. He was wearing long red and green robes, decorated with gold, and a matching pointy hat. He had a long beard, almost as long as he was, and long and white hair, so long it almost reachedthe ground. With him, he carried a wood staff that he used for support, and a small pouch on his shoulder. Panting, the old man reached the entrance to the Headmaster's office. He first examined the locked door before moving towards one of the gargoyles and whacking it with his staff. "Open already..." He murmured as he returned to the door, but nothing happened. He shook his staff at the gargoyle threateningly before he finally decided to take a seat on one of the couches. The problem was he couldn't reach them. "Dugbog dung..." He complained and decided to wait by the door instead.

While Ryan waited he sat down on a chair and started to read a magazine

Melina was ready for this meeting; after all, she'd rehearsed her proposal the entire summer. What would be the big deal about having a Muggle activity in Hogwarts? And if he said yes, how deleriously happy she'd be!

She took a seat and grabbed the closest magazine. Ugh. Hunting and Fishing. She tossed the magazine back in the pile and leaned her head back against the wall, closing her eyes. It would be her turn soon.

Jez sat down on the couch, and glanced at the Muggle magazines. Knitting? you could enchant a pair of needles to do that! She smiled at Nate. "Thanks for ... you know." She chewed her bottom lip nervously. "Do you think Tate will count the Great Hall incident a success or failure? We might have just made it worse."

"Youre welcome," he said, smiling. "I'd say success, because we stooped the fight, even if we did turn them on us," he added insightfully.

"Yeah, you're right." Jez sighed and picked up a Muggle magazine on gardening. "I'll never understand why Muggles like gnomes in their garden," she mused, flicking through the magazine. She wondered when Tate would come back to or out of his office. Maybe he lived there full-time and only came out for meals?

"Muggles like gnomes because the Muggle view of a gnome is a chubby midget wearing 'old tyme' clothes and a large pointed hat. Oh, ad they're made of porcelain usually. Our magical gnomes, as I'm sure you know, are pretty freakin annoying. And ugly, they're ugly..." Nate said. He had never seen or experienced one, only read about then in the library. Nate liked to make sure he could keep pace in a wizard conversation with only his muggle background, so he read a lot when he first got to Hogwarts.

"As ugly as they come!" laughed Jez. "Our garden's plagued with them. Mother and Father absolutely loathe them. I have to de-gnome the garden once or twice a week at home. Had to," she corrected herself, feeling a rush of delight when she remembered she wasn't at home with her awful family anymore. Thank Merlin's starry cloak. "Did you have porcelain garden gnomes?" she asked curiously.

"No. My neighbors did. That's what started my obsession with explosions, because I would set firecrackers under them, and occasionally inside them, just to watch them shatter. They always were replaced though, with exactly the same ones," said Nate, having a flashback to fourth grade at his muggle school, "My neighbors were freaks. Well, I was a wizard, so I guess that counts me as a freak in that situation, but they were just plain weird. Gnomes and cats. They had about 30 cats..." said Nate, smiling and shaking his head.

"Being a wizard isn't freaky," reminded Jez. "Not here, anyway. But your neighbours ... I can't vouch for their sanity." She giggled. "Firestarter suits you! But those things really hurt ..." She pulled down her socks to reveal red welts from the firecrackers Nate had thrown in the courtyard. "Really big explosions, though," she grinned.

Nate looked at the welts, shocked. "Wow, they did that to you? I didn't know I was that accurate of a throw..." he said, not quite catching that he was focused on the wrong thing at the moment.

"It doesn't hurt anymore," smiled Jez reassuringly. "Just stings." He'd missed the point entirely. Ah well. "I've been meaning to ask, what music do you listen to in the Muggle world?" She giggled sheepishly. "I've heard students talking about their favourite Muggle bands, but I have no clue who 'Simple Plan,' 'Green Day' or 'Avril Lavigne' are!" Jez blushed. Merlin's beard, she must sound so naive!

"Green Day, for the record, are amazing," said Nate matter-of-factly. "I also like The Offspring, Queen, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and others like that. Most of what I listen to is from about 100 years ago," he added, "I like punk rock, but also classic rock. They don't match up that easily, but I like it all."

Lexi made her way to the Tatertot's seating area quite empty handed... which was fine. She reckoned so anyway. She just wanted to talk to the man a bit. Term was winding down and she needed a hug perhaps. Heh. Looking at the others gathered there she sighed and plopped down in a seat before picking up an old quidditch magazine and idly flipping through.

Checking if his school uniform was all presentable on him and not its usual messy self, Josh walked to the headmaster's seating area and looked around a bit. Normally those places around the man's office were not his favourites in the castle but of course things did change when there was...stuff to do. So...well...there he was.

Eyeing the seats there a bit, he moved towards one to sit down yet...something made him stop. Eh...maybe waiting on his feet was better, right?

Probably...

He was not feeling anything particularly but he very well knew that this was going to be different than the other professor visits that he had done before. What could he do? He was going to see and experience. So, checking his uniform again to make sure, he mentally readied himself to patiently wait for the man to allow him in...that was...if he would allow him in at all.
