Ok so maybe some would consider Gideon to have the rotten fortune or correctly luck, but it didn't matter much as his card was looked over before Selina's card was chosen. He couldn't help chuckling at her enthusiastic response that he seemed to notice more then the ones given by his other housemates as they won their round. Pushing a head he watched as the next card was played, the fourth year looking once more at his own cards and debating on which to choose.

Hmm there were a few that had some connection at last to him but finally he settled on one not wanting to delay the game.

Selina was still reveling in her epic win the previous round. She kind of wanted a crown or something. Maybe it would say the supreme overlord of all green cards- had a nice ring to it. Regardless, she was in control right now. All of her red card subjects were waiting on her choice. So she took all of the cards and started to flip through them.

Whoever said games was severely wrong. Quidditch was a game and was, by no means, hostile. Maybe a little, but it was fun. Siblings... that one stung a little, but she ignored it as best as she could. Aliens, that one was amusing. But then she flipped over the last card and saw Chocolate Frogs. She threw the card away like it was burning coal and said, "That one wins. Those things are evil."

Kurumi giggled and flashed Selina a smile. Chances were, Selina already knew that it was her who had put down the card, but Kurumi still pretended to be shocked as she took the green card. "They really are," Kurumi nodded, placing the green card in front of her. Really, still had nightmares from time to time about the bloody things.

Kurumi looked around the table, going over in her mind who had played a green card and who hadn't. "I think...it's your turn for a green card, Gideon," she said nodding her head in his direction.

"No way!" August stared at Kourtney open mouthed, stunned at her recent luck. She was about half-way up the blasted board from him.

Her appology was of course not necessary but the third year appreciated her kindness for not wanting to be mean and completely rub it in his face. "Well good," he paused and then smiled. "for you Kourtney."

He took the spinner with a somewhat forced smile and spun it. He wasn't good at losing. "Oh an eight!" August moved his marker to the last space on the row. Still far away from her spot, but at least he wasn't on a chute.

Kourt giggled a bit at Auggie's shocked reaction to her recent spin. It was really just a stroke of brilliant luck, as were most board games, but it was rather exciting when you happened upon such luck.

Pleased that Auggie wasn't a spoilsport, Kourtney leaned over slightly to watch as he took his turn. "Not a bad spin." She murmured, leaning over to take the spinner from him.

Spin, spin, spin. The spinner spun rapidly before slowing down to rest on..4. Oh wow. She moved the girl marker to the number 88. She had just been one off from hitting square 87, which would have shot her back down to square 24 thanks to the chute on the square that showed the boy sneaking cookies from the cookie pot. Merlin, thank her lucky stars! "That was just a bit...too close."

"Aye...alright," Gideon remarked with a nod of his own as he looked to Kurumi at her suggestion that he go next when it was technically her turn. He gave her a smile in thanks even though a part of him though she was doing it to just be fair as a whole not because it was him specifically. Folding up his hand temporarily and placing it face down in front of him before turning to the pile of green hards.

The fourth year reached out and took the card off the top of the pile, wondering about what it could turn out to be before finally turning it over and placing it face up on the table for all to see.

Ira was having fun playing this game. She had never played this game even in the muggle world and was happy playing in a group.
She watched as Kurumi passed her chance to Gideon. It was nice to see that Kurumi tried to maintain a fair game for all...
Then he picked out the card, Admitted. Ira thought about it. It could mean a lot of things in different contexts. But she spotted a perfect card for it, at least according to her. She put it down:
Ira hoped that this card would help bag her another green card.

Admitted? Well, that was a strange adjective to appear on a green apple card. Kurumi wasn't even sure she knew what that meant to be entirely honest. Sorry Gideon, but it seems like you are going to get a throw-away-card this round.

Kurumi scanned her cards and, having no idea which one to play, closed her eyes and shuffled the cards in her hands. Not even bothering to see what she had selected, Kurumi put it face down on the table.

Selina looked curiously between Gideon and Kurumi. Why would Kurumi give up her green card? This was a competition, a game if you will. Then it hit her- Kurumi was being nice. Selina had to refrain from applauding her right then and there. When it came to competitive games all of Selina's niceties flew out the window. Kurumi was a much better person than Selina was in many ways, but this made the small Gryffindor respect her even more.

Getting her head back in the game looked down at her cards and picked one card that she wasn't sure would work or not. HE was admittedly crazy.

Gideon watched and waited as the rest of the players played their hand, having caught on the process that made up each round. He would need to pick whichever card he felt fit better, whether logically or in his opinion. Once he was sure it was time, he reached over and picked up the ones that had been submitted by being discarded face down on the table top.

Lies...Ticket...William Shatner?

Not having much of a clue on the third option, Gideon focused on the first two when trying to pick which one to wind up going with. "Hmm....I think I'll pick this one," he mused finally picking one and holding up the following card for all to see and for one to claim as their own.

She waited to see the cards put by others. This was an easy one!

Tayla sat at one corner of the room. She looked fondly at the Gryffindors who were playing some kind of card game. She wanted to join them, but needed to finish her Charms homework.

Turning back to her work, Tayla rubbed her forehead and tried to concentrate. She didn't feel like herself today. She stared hard at her Charms homework and kept reading the first question over and over.

"What do the incantations learned in class mean and how do the meanings relate to what the spells do?" she finally read aloud, trying to put meaning to the words. Why couldn't she concentrate?

"I know the answer to this!" she though angrily to herself. "Come on Tayla!"

She thought of her grandmother who used to be a spell inventor. And like she always did when thinking of her grandma, Tayla touched the locket around her neck. Her grandmother had enchanted it and given it to Tayla before she started studying at Hogwarts.

"How will I figure out what this locket does if I can't even answer my Charms homework?"

Tayla closed her eyes, tried to compose herself, and opened her eyes again.

"Okay," she said determinedly and started scribbling whatever came to mind. "Incantations..."

Yes, he knew before this game had nothing to do with real apples, which he liked pretty much, yet still apparently it was a fun game. He had this fluffy card after all. Fluffy was not a bad word and most people liked fluffy things anyway, did not they?

Hehehehehe...

Looking at the next green card, which was the word 'cute', he first stared at the girl who had put it for no apparent reason then turned back to the cards in his hand. Hmmm...what could be cute among those?

Okaaaaaaaaay...maybe that was not so cute but......it could be cure if you wanted to see it that way, right?

How could William Shatner not win? He was perfect in every single way for the previous card, but Gideon had spoken and Ira took the shiny, new green card from the pile. To say that she was a little jealous was an understatement, but she kept her mouth shut and put her head back where it needed to be... in the game.

When she saw that the card was cute her eyes flickered across the table at Gideon and then she burrowed her head back into her deck. Where had that thought even come from. He had to stop distracting her. First during Quidditch practice now during this. It was all his fault; if she could grumble she would.

Then she saw the perfect card for cute. She placed in the pile very proud of her choice.

Hmmm....Striking, Going to grandma's......
Whats with striking? How does it even relate to cute, Ira wondered. Maybe it meant striking cute? Yeah, maybe so.
But going to grandma's was a perfect match.. It is so fun!
So Ira selected the card:
"I think this is really cute! and great! So, whose card is this?"

Adam wasn't quite sure he was at the study tables.It wasn't as if he did hours of studying,he didn't do much studying,but after being put on the team he had to force himself to do more of his homework or fear of getting kicked off the team.Yet,he was still confused,he had already done his homework,so he was just sitting there.He did have a small tardis notebook in his hand.He wasn't doing much with it besides flopping it in front of him.

Adam was looking for some place to do some light reading other than the library, since he spent most of his time at the library these days, when he remembered that Gryffindor had its own study tables. Coming into the common room Adam headed over to them, spotting his twin sitting there as well. Grabbing one of the chairs and pulling it out, Adam plopped down. "Hey Adam," Adam said with a warm smile. "How's it going?"

Adam looked up an saw his brother taking a seat across from him.Before he answered though Adam wrote into his notebook.

Selina=Has forgiven me.
Kurumi=Friends but has not forgiven me.

"It's going decent.A little hectic but nothing I can't handle.You,how have you been?"

"I've been doing well. I...uh...I have a girlfriend," Adam said with a little smirk. "Her name is Rubiey...she's a Gryffindor actually." Adam noticed that his twin had written something in the book in front of him. He could see what it was, but he didn't want to seem nosy so he thought for a moment before he worded his question. "So...how are things going with the girls in your life?" Adam asked. He knew that Adam had been in a tight spot the same time Adam was going through some drama with Louisa himself. That had fizzled down, although them both having their own significant others led for an unexpected awkwardness in their friendship. He was hoping that it went away eventually though...

Adam's eyes bugged out of their sockets when he heard his fellow buddy had a girlfriend.He clapped Adam's back in a congratulatory manner."That's fantastic.I've never heard of her,but you have my approval since she's from Gryffindor."His attention went away momentarily as he peeked once more at his notebook."Oh,umm..Well things are better than when they were at the beginning of term.But now,I gotta prove the girls that-well-they can trust me again.I'm gonna go through many trials this year.."

Hahaha..Selina thought I was proposing to her...

He wrote down to make himself laugh

Adam smiled widely when Adam smacked him on the back in congratulations. "I'll definitely have to introduce you to her at some point in time. I think you'll like her. She's really sweet and she loves Quidditch," Adam said with another warm smile. He was glad that Adam was happy for him, even though Adam wasn't really sure why he wouldn't be. He gave a little shake of the head, more to himself than Adam, but listening intently as his twin explained how things were going with the girls in his life.

"Well that's good, right?" Adam said, optimistically. "At least now they're giving you the opportunity to prove that they can trust you again. That's certainly a better position than you were in earlier this year, right?"

"Ohhh..Quidditch.I don't think I've heard of a Rubiey on the team..But she must be a strong supporter,wearing red an black on her face during the matches.It'll be nice to meet her."He smiled brightly.At least one half of the Adam's were having a better year so far.They had both seemed to be on the same boat at the beginning of the year an now Adam was slowly departing with someone else,leaving his brother behind.

"Real good.I mean-it's not superb but it's horrible at the same time.Much better position I am in right now."

Rubiey,Adam's Girlfriend.Same Year.Like Quidditch.Sweet.

He wrote down.Adam wasn't sure why he was writing such random things,but he looked back up from the notebook."Sorry,just keeping tabs.If something were to happen-I mean-if you tell me an I write it down-it can be evidence for your part of the drama."

"She's wanted to try out for the team, but every semester circumstances have prevented her from being able to," Adam said with a slight frown. "Hopefully next try outs she'll be able to make it, but we have been doing our best to attend the Gryffindor games to show support and everything," Adam said with a warm smile. After all it would just be wrong if Adam wasn't there to support his buddy! He was glad that Adam seemed so happy for him, since he could tell that Adam was still having the same struggles that he himself had been having in the beginning of the year.

"You're an awesome guy Adam so I have the utmost faith that it will all work out in the end," Adam said, giving Adam a reassuring pat on the back. When Adam finally commented on what he was writing down Adam chuckled slightly. "Well I suppose it's good to keep track of things so in lieu of needing to defend yourself, you can," Adam said with a smile. Although he was hoping that Adam's problems weren't the kind where he needed written proof in order for Kurumi and Selina to believe what he was saying. "You know, if you need my help or anything you know I'm here for you, right?"

She isn't a drama lama is she?That can actually affect getting onto the team.I mean-a lot of stuff has been happening in my life,an Carter,the captain has been keeping a close watch on me.He doesn't want any fights amongst his teammates. An now that you guys are dating-well-I saw you were trying out also,maybe you guys can just practice around the quidditch-for both of your betters.."Adam suggested.Couples more than always spent time together an more than always had the same hobbies-they could spend time together with their favorite hobbies.

"Thanks for that comment.An,I know I can always come to you.You told me about your girlfriend-so I think that was the first sign we can talk about anything...I hope it all works out in the end.Of course I'll come to you if I need anything." Adam half laughed at hearing how his brother had thought he needed to express that,they both mutually knew that fact.

Adam chuckled when his twin asked if she was a drama llama. "No...not at all! Her first year there was the Triwizard tournament, and then the other times family stuff has kind of gotten in the way," Adam said with a slight frown. Really Rubiey's family seemed to be just as awful as his was, if not worse because they deliberately tried to make Rubiey's life difficult. At least, that was how he felt anyway. He listened as Adam explained Carter keeping an eye on him and such. He had never really thought about the possibility of them both playing for Gryffindor at the same time. "Knowing our luck I doubt we'd both be able to play on the team at the same time," Adam said with a bemused expression. "She'll probably be able to try out next year but for some reason something will come up and I won't be able to." Adam let out a little sigh at the end. "It's nice to know that Carter cares about his players as people too though," Adam said with a little nod of head. "I know some captains at other schools I went to weren't like that at all."

Adam realized after he had offered his assistance if Adam needed it that it really hadn't been necessary. Adam knew he was there if he needed him, and that was really all there was to it. When his twin thanked him Adam gave him a sheepish little grin. "With all the stuff you're writing in that notebook of yours, you better make sure that thing doesn't fall into the wrong hands," Adam said, eyeing the book curiously. Yeah...that could definitely be quite the weapon if someone got a hold of it.
