Eat, drink, and be merry, O Lions. Classes begin again tomorrow.
The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.
And what's this? The silverware is tarnished and askew, almost as if thrust on the table willy-nilly. Take a seat and search for a clean spoon while the Sorting Hat ceremony commences. The House Elves have done their clean up work quickly and effectively, and the silverware and dishes are now set to right.
"aha, thats good then! How did you get them? Too much too eat? Or drink? I must say its so cool all this food!"
"aha, sporty? Thank you?!" Hayley laughed, she wasnt sure if it was meant to be a good thing or not! "The ceiling is pretty amazing, growing up in the muggle world I've never seen anything like it!" Hayley looked up and smiled.
"Yes I am, you are too? Awesome!" Hayley smiled. "Im Alice!"
Joaquin then asked Hayley. "Did you perform any weird magic? I changed one of our teacups into a rat. You should've seen the look on my parents faces." said Joaquin with a smile.

"haha oh nothing like that, when I was at muggle school, one of the kids teased me and I got angry and made them float in the air! The children were defientely scared of me after that!" Hayley chuckled.
"Once or twice yes! Once, this boy started teasing me, I got annoyed, and by accident I started lifted him up! I was very confused at the time..." Hayley laughed. "But now it all makes sense I guess!"
"Wow! What did your parents think!" Sage asked knowing that some Muggles were scared of the idea of magical people, or at least thats what her mother had told her.

"Wow! What did your parents think!" Sage asked knowing that some Muggles were scared of the idea of magical people, or at least thats what her mother had told her.
"Well my parents were annoyed at me, but a bit worried. They thought I had something wrong with me, thats when they took me out of school.. I got taken out when I was 10, then had a year of homeschool, and then I got my letter!" Hayley said.
Carter headed to the Gryffindor table and sat in an empty spot. His mind was currently in overload. Caroline just acted like the past few months never happened. In his hand he clutched a letter that she had dropped. A letter, he guessed, she never intended him to see.

Nathan suddenly noticed a much older boy who was not talking to any one yet so as much a he was a little scared he plucked uo the courage and said, "Hi, I'm Nathan Rubel, Gryffindor 1st year.

"I am very excited! I'm, not too sure really; flying sounds cool, and I really want to learn how to do some spells and stuff." It felt weird saying all these words like magic and flying, it just seemed so abnormal almost as though she was living in a dream.

Kurumi smiled, and perhaps even wibble just a little at the first year's comment. That may have been the sweetest thing she had heard all evening, and it really made her feel better,
"That means a lot to hear you say that, Skye," Kurumi blushed, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. "How did your sorting go? Did the Sorting Hat know right away?"
"the sorting hat said something about hufflepuff but then placed me in Griffindor, do you remember much of your sorting?" skye asked kurumi.
Josephine had been laughing with Maxwell and Joseph, her brother when she found a familiar face "Anne! Hello, I'm Josephine we met at Madame Malkins, remember?" God she hoped the other girl remembered, she was so tired of being the only girl between two boys.
Finally, someone she met before! "Oh my! Hello, Jo! Of course I remember you!!" Anne said.

I would not reccomend you going for the quiddich team this year cause flying well takes a fair bit of skill and it takes about a year or so to truly be good enough to play in a real quiddich match. So you like football, americano football or English futbol. Cinsidering you are good at kicking a ball I am gonna guess English futbol. And I am rather good at that sport myself. Maybe can play sometime if we can find an open field that is big enough around here.".
Emily stomped into the great hall and slumped into a seat. She was not in a good mood and upon seeing the state of the table it got even worse. What was with it? The knives and forks were everywhere! And not at all clean.
She pulled some soup towards her and grabbed the nearest spoon. She rubbed it clean on her sleeve and began to eat, still deep in thought. The sooner she could get to the library and read the better.

Anna headed to the Gryffindor table when I noticed a guy with absolutely bewildered air and decided to sit beside him. "Hi! How are you doing?" She asked him with smile.
"So what happened when you got you letter? Sage decided to rephrase her question, "I mean, did like a wizard come and help you go to Diagon Alley and explain everything?"
Sage herself thought it was a stupid question, but the Muggle world was something very new to her, she had known magic her whole life...

Ella said, being muggle-born did have some dissadvantages, but she would soon know loads more. She really wanted to have a go at Quidditch, she has always liked playing sport... well muggle sport anyway.
Lauren made her way over to the Gryffindor table after seeing Orchid join the Slytherin one. She felt awful, honestly, like her stomach had dropped out from under her. So far today she had said goodbye to her closest friend, her father, for three months and now she'd been sent in the opposite direction to Orchid, her newest friend. This bites... she thought.
Frowning, Lauren looked down the table in front of her, wishing she could speak to her Dad right now. Maybe she would send him an owl later...
" Are you ok?" William asked the girl. " Did you lose a close friend by any chance and that is only a guess" William said to the girl. " My name is William Montcenaggio aka William Starr. " Trust me, you will like HogWarts" Willaim told her. " Did you know you can go to any table during the feast?" William asked the girl.

Kurumi's jaw just dropped when she saw her two housemates going at it. Lexi, the seventh year and...the girl who knew who Barbie was.
Maybe...Kurumi should just...duck out of this conversation. She had delivered the T-shirt like she had wanted to, and Lexi wouldn't try and doing anything too severe to the little one, right?
Slowly...Kurumi began to slink away to the side.
SPOILER!!: Selina & Adam
Kurumi flailed a bit when Selina drew her away from Adam, tears still streaming down her face. How DARE he just show up out of the blue and expect her to be the same as she had been the last time she had seen him. She was a forth year now, and the time he had been away had changed her completely.
He, however, based on his comment about them not being able to punch properly, hadn't changed a bit.
"You know what I would have expected," she said, trying not to allow her voice to break. "You to uphold at least one of your promises. You wrote me ONCE...and it was after it was too late. Not only that but you...you..." Her voice broke now. "I waited you know...like I promised..."
He knew what she was talking about. He couldn't try and hide it from her.
"And YOU weren't even the one to tell me. Do you know how much you hurt me?"
She took a step back and her prefect badge caught in the candlelight. Her hair color began to change back to black as she attempted to control her emotions more.
Now it was her turn to pull Selina away. "Selina, one more hit and...well...you know I have to do something about it." Best to just leave that vague. Kurumi wasn't sure WHAT she was going to do. "Save it for Quidditch tryouts, you know we need you."
"I can't reveal all my secrets you know," she winked. "They are part of my mother's cookie recipe. I had to beg her for a long time to finally teach me."
Kurumi glanced down at the table.
"Jai...we need to do something about these forks and everything," she picked up a spoon for emphasis. "Constant vigilance, right?"
Maybe, the two prefects could put their wand power together and clean the table before the Headmaster gave his speech?
"Welcome to Gryffindor, Anne," Kurumi smiled, waving as the young lion who had just finished her sorting and had joined them at the table.
"I go to the kitchens often enough," she laughed. "You are welcome to come with me sometime if you want. Just look for me in the common room."
" Of course, we are going towards the same goal" Willaim told Kurumi. " We will win the house cup for Gryffindor this term" William said to Kurumi. ' I really thought we had it last term until the last week when Slytherin slipped ahead of us, but not this term" William explained to Kurumi. " You just present a great challenge to me because you are very, very intelligent" Wiliam smiled. " Go Gryffindor" William called out.

Adam made sure to give JB a bath right before they left for the train...after all no one would appreciate him having a pet if the pet smelled as awful as the pen at the wizarding carnival had.
Adam gave Paulie a little smirk at the comment about the neighborhood moving. "So far they're still at the same house, but we'll see when it's time to go home for a break." Of course, Adam's parents hadn't even been there to say goodbye, so he wasn't even sure if they knew when the next time he was returning was going to be.

Yes indeed, a frog was quite an interesting thing to find in your living room. "Yep. I almost brought him here, as a pet, but then I figured that I would forget to feed a thing like that and he'd probably end up dying." Thus, it was back into the forest for toady. Adam went on to tell him that he had gotten a puppy, and Paulie perked up some more. "A puppy? That's so cool - what kind? I hadn't realized that Hogwarts allowed dogs here." A faint smirk crept onto his face as the other Gryffindor made sure to mention that the canine did not smell. Just wait 'till it was pouring outside, and good old Spot needed to go to the loo - then Adam's comment on that might be a tad different. "Definitely - you can probably introduce me tonight," 'Cause Paulie figured the common room would be buzzing with people anyway, what with no homework yet.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that they haven't picked up and moved just yet. But you'll have to let me know come Christmas break." And if Adam was telling the truth about all that gypsy-traveling, which Paulie of course figured he was, then the boy's parents may very well have moved again by winter break.

Emily sat herself down at an empty seat, thrilled to have been placed in gryffindor.
"I can't wait to tell my brother about this!" She told the person beside her, "he said I'd never get into gryffindor. Shame I won't get to see the look on his face.. could you pass the sprouts?"
Tucking into a chicken leg, she grinned at all the students around her, "my name is Emily!" She said with her mouth full.

"How about you? Things well for you?" It was only polite to ask her back.
"I have-then everything is fine." She smiled again, her it seemed for a moment that he is not configured for pleasantries. "If I'm interrupting, then you tell me about it, don't be shy. I totally understand. I just have one very bad thing--I like to pester people." She said and laughed.
