His attention turned from the table a bit, Gideon had simply backed up to sit back on the bench to regain his seat now that the drama seemed to end. He felt the tap on his shoulder and turns around just as an unknown girl spoke, questioning him about Selina. "Selina?..." he questioned repeating her name, his gaze looking over at the mentioned younger girl who now was a bit further away from him...something he hadn't been aware of.

"I guess so, why?" he asked looking confused. He for one hadn't witnessed the earlier violence between the two best friends and a certain returning boy.

Speech now finished, Kurumi looked around at her fellow lions and...Caroline!? It took her a few moments to register that the Slytherin had appeared at the table, but almost no time at all to notice the obvious tension between her and Carter.

Wait, weren't they a couple? Kurumi hadn't seen them together since Simon's surprise birthday party last term, soo anything was possible.

She also noticed the rather large red spot on August's forehead from where her head had collided with his. Her brothers were often telling her that she had a hard head, hopefully she hadn't done him any brain damage or something.

Before Kurumi could say anything that would make everyone feel awkward, Gideon spoke. "Oh..." Well, the house elves were very busy beings. They probably didn't have time to stick around and talk with students when there was a feast to be had.

Kurumi looked around at everyone who was speculating about just why she had fainted. Carter's words made her squeak and begin flailing about. At least everyone knew that she was alright, right? "NO NO NO NO NO!" said said, complete with more flailing. "I-I-I'm not afraid of house elves at all. I quite enjoy their company when I am in the kitchens. It was just...I was appalled by the manner in which the elf was punishing itself. Sticking one of those insanitary forks in its eye like that!" Why, it was far worse than putting a clean for in ones eye. "It was just too sad..."

Kurumi followed Josh's gaze towards the Slytherin table where Cookie Hater and Salander were sitting. Hmmm, maybe he was missing Salander? They were friends, right? Kurumi was pretty sure she had seen them speaking to one another before.

Then the conversation moved back to her father. "He...went a bit overboard, didn't he?" she asked nervously. Now it was just a matter of HOW much overboard the man had gone.

Carter smiled. "You're muggleborn then?" he asked. "Me too. Don't worry, things will get easier. I didn't know anything about anything when I first came." And now... well, he didn't know a lot... but he was comfortable being a wizard. In fact, he found something that he loved doing and intended on doing as long as he could.

He clapped the younger boy's shoulder. "If you ever need help let me know. I've been through everything that you're going through now."

And then some. He'd have to warn the boy to stay away from Slytherin girls.

Carter let out a relieved sigh. "Oh good. I was going to say that it was a little weird to not like house elves... they're very nice." And accommodating. And were makers of the world's greatest potatoes.

Speaking of which... he needed to claim a bowl for himself. (A WHOLE bowl.)

"Kurumi..." he said slowly. "I'm... uhh... not sure you can do anything about that..."

From what he'd heard it's just what they did. Sure it was... disturbing... but that didn't mean it could be changed.

At least... he didn't think they could be changed. But he'd never had a house elf before. He looked over to Caroline to double-check that. She was a pureblood, so she probably had one... or was at least more exposed to them then he was.

"Haha thanks," Tori giggled a little. "Yeah, this is my first term at ole Hoggywarts." She looked up at the enchanted ceiling and smiled. Now that everything was clean, it truly was a castle fit for a princess. "I'm originally from California, and my dad homeschooled me there until he married this evil super-British witch and moved us all back to England."

She stuck out her tongue a little. "I miss Cali weather."

When he turned around she paused for a second and nodded her head to answer him after he repeated Selina's name. "Yeah, the redhead over there." She then pointed to Selina and looked back at the young Gryffindor and she lowered her hand back down onto the table and then paused- who was this gorgeous Gryffindor? Usually Elektra had to admit that Gryffindor's had something that put her off, maybe it was just her best friend. But he was FIINNNNEEEE. WOOOOOOOW!! She did a double take and said, "Hey there." She batted her eyelashes, "My name's Elektra and yours?"

Ronnie looked at her food and wondered what to eat next. She looked happily around the table at her friends Jordan, William, Rose, and her sister Plumeria. She loved having such good friends like these in her life. Hopefully, she'd make more this year. She then went back to food. "What to eat?" she said to herself. So much! She finally began piling her plate with chicken, potatoes, jell-O, bacon, and that was about it. She then poured herself some Pumpkin Juice and began to eat...yet again. This was her second plate so far. Suddenly, out of nowhere, she slipped backwards out her seat and fell on the ground. "What the-?!" she cried getting up again. "Rose, I don't think seats like me much." she said, remembering the ice cream shop. She laughed at the thought and sat back down, slowly to make sure she didn't fall again.

Selina looked Chris dead in the eye and said as seriously as she could muster, "I appreciate it, really I do. But Christopher, you need to understand, that sometimes things just need to be private. Even from you." For if he knew, she wouldn't be his sister anymore. He would hate her; Merlin, she hated herself after all that she had done. But it was not time to worry about that. She was trying to enjoy the feast. She would talk about it with Kurumi later and even talking about it with her lion sister make her nervous enough to throw up.

Then she laughed at his comment about her punch, "If you think that hurts than you need more guy friends. Seriously Chris, you wouldn't last a day on the Pitch if THAT hurt." It was only the truth. Selina was beat on so bad during the games that she was surprised her face was still in tact. Bludgers were a pain. And then her face got suddenly very serious, "YES! Please say I won't make the team. Karma is weird like that."



Selina smiled at Gideon when he took the cookie. Again, he was a nice guy. She rustled his already unruly hair and pulled herself out of her seat, "I'll catch you later. I have to go and grab another cookie..." Honestly she hoped that she would not run into the maker of the cookies. She was not ready to talk to her yet. After what had happened on the Platform it was so much. Just the anxiety of it all was too much. Besides, she had a bad feeling about her encounter with Kurumi. Things were bound to go wrong.



Selina's face was now red with anger. If she didn't have Quidditch try outs on the line she would pummel him with her Beater bat. Maybe that would wipe the smug smirk off of his face. A year in Mexico City did not improve his attitude. In fact, from what she could tell, it only made things worse for him. But she was never going to take that from him, not again. Selina had found herself a new set of skin that NO ONE, especially Adam Burn, would strip from her.

She poked his chest, "You know what Adam Burn? I'll admit that some of it was my fault, the way I'm feeling. I trusted you when I shouldn't have. I mean if anyone is to blame, it's me. I didn't want to see you for the self-centered, pompous, jerk you are! Now I do though. My rose colored spectacles were ripped off of my face and I am so glad. Good luck trying to fix whatever you did here. It is an impossible task."

She spun around on her heel and did not wait for him to reply. Nothing out of his mouth was worth anything!

Selina stormed her way back over to Gideon and was about to sit down when she saw Elektra talking to him. What was going on there? Was she... flirting him up? Seriously? No, she had to be seeing things. Her eyes were just twitching, that was all. But she was not going to lie, it did look rather odd- seeing Elektra Draven flirt. If that was what she called it.

So with a smirk she approached the two and said, "Hey there, Lek, Gideon. I see you two have met." She was trying really hard to suppress a giggle. This was too good.

Mickey bodly went were no Darley has gone before... The last table to visit, the Griffindor table. Her heart started to beat rapidly, she wasn't too sure ofwhat to make of the people who were sorted there. "Oh Ronnie. Hi. Do you remember me? I'm Mickey we had ice cream with a whole bunch of other people before..."' She stated to the girl shoving food into her mouth like there wouldn't be any left if she took her time.

"HEY!" Gideon exclaimed as Selina ruffled his already messy curls, the 4th year feeling her hand in his hair ever so briefly. He made a face as she walked away for some reason, the boy reaching up to uselessly try to resettle what she had messed with.

"Aye...that we have," he answered, an ever so slight scottish burr returning. Gideon raised a gentle eyebrow at her smirk wondering what was up being a little clueless as a 14 year old boy could be seen as.

Ok so Kurumi seemed to be alright and perhaps they wouldn't get the attention of too many people, August never was one for being in the limelight. He much perferred to be in a quite place reading or just talking with friends anyday. Then out of nowhere the gryffindor girl began to shudder and flail about telling all of those around her no.

"....ok."

So she was not afraid of House Elves, Auggie still was, but this girl was adiment that she wasn't. Ohh but the way it had acted freaked her out, that made sense. "I understand, it kind of scared me the way it just shoved that fork right into it's eye and was talking and shouting at itself like that." he said a bit concerned as he remembered the bizarre event.

As she was standing up and beginning to get her barrings about herself, Riley noticed a glittering object on the front of her robes, a badge of some sorts. "Oh Kurumi, what's that badge over your Gryffindor crest for?" he said pointing at it curiously.
"Yeah I'm a Muggleborn alright, didn't know anything about magic until I got my second letter from Headmaster Tate explaining to my parents that Hogwarts wasn't just some scam and that I really could attend here. They took some convincing you see." he chuckled remembering how his parents had just barely decided to let him come, ensuring him if he wanted to leave at anytime they would send for him to come back.

The next thing Carter said to him rose his spirits even higher. "You are too?! You're the first one like me I've met so far! So your saying I will be able to fit in better later on as I learn more things?" This as definately promising, if this guy had been able to survive until his seventh year, Auggie surely could do the same. Besides he was a great reader and he was positive this Castle had a killer Library for him to explore.

Just as the boy had mentioned if he ever needed anything to just ask him, AUgust noticed he too, just like Kurumi, had a special badge on his robes. "Carter, what is that badge for? Is it the same as the one Kurumi has on her robes?" All this badge business was confusing, where was his? Did everyone get them? He started peeking at the front of the other kids' robes to see if he had just forgotten to buy them at Diagon Alley.
"Well that's great! It's good to know I won't be the only one, who's tranferred and doesn't know exactly what is going on. People would just think I'm a dunce since I am obviosuly not a first year." But now she could look like a dunce with him?

"America, really? I've always wanted to travel there." He really had but the Goldstein's didn't come from money, his mother worked in a small women's clothing store and his father was a teacher at the Jewish Muggle school Auggie had attended back home. "I live here in the Uk, Manchester to be exact." he nodded, chuckling slightly as Princess called her step mother a super witch.

"Oh is the weather over there much different from our's?" August ask curiously, finally giving in from his original horror of the bossy girl towards the Elves and taking a drink from the lemonade the creature had brought over.

Ronnie heard her name and turned around. "Oh yeah, I remember you! Hey Mickey!" she said. "Would you like to sit down? There's plenty of room."

"Sure," Mickey sat down and kept looking down the table as if she was looking for someone... She turned to Ronnie and messed up her hair to try to wake herself up a little bit more. "What's up?* Been a while," She yawned before taking a chicken wing and taking a bite out of it.

Kourtney was a bit disappointed, she had to admit. Her friends weren't in the same house that she had been sorted in. Oh well, they'd still have classes together....or at least she thought so.

Sighing, she glanced around her, noting the other Gryffindors around her chatting. She didn't know anyone here (of course she didn't, she was merely a first year), but that shouldn't stop her, should it? No. She could just approach anyone at the table. They all looked fairly friendly.

Just as her mind was made up, a voice came from the direction of the table where the professors sat. A man stood up and began to make a speech. She could only surmise that this was the Headmaster.

She listened intently, not wanting to miss any important information, and glanced around at the remark that the hall was not in the state that it usually was. She, of course, couldn't tell. And then....house elves? House elves? Her gaze darted around the hall, attempting to pick up a sign of these house elves. What did they do?

Her attention strayed momentarily as the professor continued speaking about the start of classes and the busy upcoming year. She felt a tingle of excitement. How cool was this going to be?!

And then suddenly...food appeared on the table; mouth-watering pieces of food. She'd find someone to talk to....after she ate. She didn't realize she was so hungry until this meal had appeared.

Elektra controlled herself from letting her jaw drop as she looked at him. THIS IS THE THRID BLOODY GORGEOUS GRYFFINDOR I HAVE SEEN!! Why am i being tortured here?! She shouted in her mind. Outside she was just staring and was finding it hard to put words together to reply to him, but inside she was just having a little fit of how cute he was, and that Scottish accent: Oh, Sweet Merlin! Then she realized she was staring just a little too long and she shot a little smile to him snapping out of it. "Nice to meet you-" Elektra paused when she heard a familiar voice and she looked up seeing Selina and she nodded. "Yep, we have." she said looking back at Giddeon. "I was actually just asking Giddeon if you were alright considering you lost your mind and punched someone...again."

Selina smiled at Gidoen who looked a little lost as to why Selina was smirking. She wasn't sure when she first sauntered over if Elektra was flirting with Gideon or if she was just imagining that, but now she knew for a fact that she was not imagining anything. Elektra was being as blunt as the third year Slytherin could be. Although she never really saw Elektra as subtle, in anything she did.

Her smirk was gone though once Elektra brought up Adam. The fifth year made her blood boil, who did he think he was? She clenched her fists and tried to compose her temper. Gideon didn't know Selina that well and she did not want him to only know her temper. He just had met her on the wrong day, "Sorry that was nothing. I mean, well, it was nothing. Just some old person I once knew." She dropped her voice to a whisper and said to Elektra, "And it was Adam, I had good reason."

Then she looked back up at the two of them, "So when did you two meet?"

Gideon kept his attention between the two girls, only briefly noting the jaw drop and returning to his previous confused expression. However as he listened to the conversation, his gaze moved back to Selina.

Wait...punched?

Hearing the words coming out of Elektra's mouth he couldn't help but wonder what all he had missed. "Um...no need to appologize," Gideon assured Selina. " Must remember not to make ye upset though I figure," he commented with a shrug. He hoped his tone of jest would set her at ease that he wouldn't hold anything against her. The older Gryffindor after all didn't know the full situation surrounding the events.

"Just now actually," he replied truthfully.

A part of Adam was angry...of course she was going to take the tone that it was Adam's fault for not saying anything to her, and not place any of the blame on Joao for not mentioning it either. Perhaps neither of them had mentioned it because in the grand scheme of things the conversation wasn't that important? Adam put his cup down, making sure to control himself so that he didn't slam it. "It happened after you briefly mentioned him to me the first time, back when he was just someone that said he really liked you," Adam said with another little shrug. "And maybe he didn't mention it either because it wasn't really all that big of a deal," Adam said, making sure not to look at Louisa because he knew it would show how angry he was.

But at the last words that came out of her mouth Adam couldn't stop himself from turning to look at her. "You're acting like it's some big secret that I've been withholding from you. Yeah, maybe I should have said something, but maybe I would prefer not to discuss with you the guy that you're interested in. Maybe it hurts too..." But Adam stopped the sentence before he finished it. Switch...hit the switch. Lifting up the hand that was still scared from the hand incident, Adam rubbed his face. "I don't want to fight Louisa, I just wanted you to know that I already know who he is so you don't have to feel the need to introduce him to me." Really...if Adam never saw Joao and Louisa together that would be okay with him. The idea of them walking around the castle holding hands and laughing was just...too much.

The blond shrugged a bit uncertainly. "If you say so. I mean, it figured it, the sorting hat, wouldn't just randomly place me somewhere. That much i knew." She paused for a moment thinking over her words. "I guess i just want to know a bit more background about the houses. Well, other than the famous people who were in them." SHRUG. She was such a slacker and she'd just started a normal school. Well, as normal as a wizarding school could be. "Yeah? Well, since you seemed to be the expert.." Well, more so then she was. "Good to know."

Brookie nodded simply. Of course she got grounded. Minnie never got grounded, and Waverly's dad always blamed Brooke for being the bad influence. He didn't know how wrong he was. <____< "It was completely stupid and not my fault. At all. It was my neighbor's fault. We were hanging out, lost track of time, and didn't come home til one in the morning." Cue the blushing. "And my parents, being them, over reacted and grounded me. For a month." GRUMBLE. Meanies. "Hm? OH. Right, I need to find a friend of mine. We had this bet going- who could meet the most people before the train. And i couldn't find him on the train. And.. yeah.." No need to explain more. Brooke NEEDED to win.

"So, you like it alright? Well, that's good to hear, i guess." Although, she wasn't too sure about her feelings on Hogwarts just yet. After seeing the dirty utensils and the birds that were inside of the castle, she had yet to make a decision on her feelings of the place. Little did she know there were more birds here than she had seen. A lot more. "Well, i'll definitely keep that in mind." Remind self to ask Paulie again later. BEAM. Her head tilted to the side, as he stared at her, confused. "What's on your mind Paaaulie?" She grinned at him, remembering their little conversation on the ending of names. So, she made sure to stretch out the "IE" just for fun. "Well, that's a good idea. I'd be fine with eating either. They're both damn good." And both were good payback. She liked how he thought.

While she waited for her friends to finish eating, Willow looked around the table to see who else she could befriend...

Maybe Carter hadn't read the article written about her, but Kurumi was apparently part house elf, so it would seem rather hypocritical of herself to be afraid of them, right.

"I know," she said gloomily, casting her gaze on the clean table. "Those forks were just so unsanitary and I wouldn't want them to get an infection because they thought they upset us." At least, she hadn't heard many Gryffindors complain too much about the the dishware. In fact, many of the first years seemed to have been enjoying playing make-believe feast with them since it had only been after the Headmaster's speech that the food had appeared.

"I am thinking of going to visit them after the feast, just to make sure that everything is alright."
"They really are lovely creatures," Kurumi said gingerly. "Nothing to be afraid of. They are very accommodating and always looking to please others." Although, Kurumi was not pleased at how they punished themselves when they thought they had done wrong. Really, they were all witches and wizards who shouldn't be against getting their own hands dirty and cleaning the flatware. That's what they had wands for, right?

Kurumi was suddenly struck with an idea. "I know, I'll take you to visit them sometime. That way you can see for yourself just how lovely they are!"

Yep, that would certainly help Twinkle make more friends with some of Hogwarts' students.

Her head bent down to look at the badge pined to her robes. "Oh, um, this is a prefect badge," she said, lifting it up just a bit with her delicate fingers.

Raising her eyebrow hearing Selina mention Adam, it actually took her by surprise. Adam...he was back? How long was he gone for? "Adamn? Kurumi's ex? Wha- Why would you- Well...ok maybe you deserve to be mad at him, but punch him? i mean I know how your punches feel so I know for a fact that poor boy must be hurting." she looked at Giddeon. "Yeah, I was actually coming over to say hi to you Selina, but you seemed occupied so i asked Giddeon here if you were alright and that is how we met." she said with a nod and a light smile. ok Elektra you gotta control yourself. yes, he is cute and everything, but keep your composure. yeah it seems like these internal battles with herself aren't going to end for a while now.

Nothing to be worried about? What if the House Elves decided to punish him for trying to clean the silverware himself and came at his eyes with forks. He shuddered at the thought but then thought about something. Kurumi seemed like an upstanding student and a proud Gryffindor, she wouldn't blatantly lie to him about the elves saying they were nice if they really would harm him.

Auggie still got the creeps from them. "Wait go to visit them? Must we?" he asked, trying not to sound like a baby. He really didn't like to whine but after what he just saw he felt as if a nice distance would be nice between himself and the 'working staff' of the castle. But he had to man up, "Ok I will go with you." How was he ever supposed to become a wizard if he didn't at least try things?

The tiny badge on her robes glinted as she moved it with her fingers, showing the 'P' on it. "Oh well congradulations, we sort of had Prefect-type student leaders back at my Muggle School. They were always the really good and smart older kids." he said nodding at her. Which meant...she was a smarter, good older kid.

Selina shot Elektra a look when she was advertising to the world and to her new acquaintance, Gideon, that she had a harsh temper. Everyone at the Gryffindor table already knew that Selina, when provoked, had a wicked temper, but that was not the only thing about her. Most of the time she was a fun-loving and normal person to be around. Her temper was something that did not show up all of the time. So the fact that Elektra was painting her in that light was not something Selina was too keen on.

She turned to Gideon who was slightly joking about her temper and Selina defended herself, "I'm not all temper, I promise. Elektra here just likes that side of me best. Don't you Lek?"

He hugged Ronnie back, he hadn't seen her since the train, after packing his bags up with the Hogwarts Express. He was waiting for some other people to come along the area of his two bestfriends. "So, how was your summer, Ronnie?" Jordan's was terrible, except for the fact he got to get out of the house the whole summer. Something was strange with his Uncle. By now, he figured out how to muggle stuff on his own, he pretty much lived by himself. "Can't wait to start classes, you?" Jordan asked.

"Hey, Rose." For some reason, Jordan felt a little odd around Rose, considering he hadn't seen Rose hardly at all, all summer, and remembering that Rose, actually liked him, the second year giant, more than a friend. "I've been okay, I guess. Been living and spending most of my time by myself. Uncle's got major work at the Ministry, so he's hardly ever home. Just me, myself and a wand!" Jordan said laughing.

Adam was starting to get fidgety, probably from the rather intense conversation with Louisa and the fact that he needed to get some food in his stomach. Letting out a little sigh, Adam picked up his goblet and chugged the whole drink. With a little sigh Adam put his face in his hand, rubbing it slightly, before looking around at the other people at the table.
