Carter chuckled. "Oh... it gets more complicated than that." He blinked twice. "Positive and negative arguments? What are you suggesting...? That I make a chart or something?" Because that would be weird.

"Yeah. I am." he said a little surprised. He hadn't realized that had gotten out yet. ...But then again... he was sure that Caroline caused a scene on the train when she found out.

Or maybe Marilyn said something?

"Yeah. Exciting and a little weird." Carter responded.

And nerve-wracking. It was a bit of that too.

He smiled. "Definitely quidditch." he said with a warm smile. Quidditch had really been the thing that kept him going. "I've been playing since I was a first year."

"Is there anything you're looking forward to?" he asked. "I hadn't heard much about Hogwarts before I came, so everything was... new and exciting my first year. In fact, I still learn new things all the time about magic."

But he assumed that all muggleborns felt that way.

"Great thanks, you? The foods good isn't it?" Ella said through another mouthfull of scones. "Have you tried these scones? They are sooo addicting!" She added

Anna noticed surprise Carter "Rumors quickly diverge." She smiled and said. "You love flying on a broomstick?"

That girl was caught up in that ceiling, wasn't she? Maybe the whole night sky-ceiling had some sort of hypnotizing power, too. Gahh. But when she seemed pleased to see him, Paulie was quite pleased, too. Aaaand she even switched seats! Good, 'cause he liked being closer. "Yep, sure am," he nodded. "I've only been sorted for, like... fifteen minutes, but I really like it." The fifteen-year-old gave a short chuckle and tilted his drink back and forth.

"So, what's new?" He turned to her as he asked and waited for her to enlighten him about her summer holiday. As an afterthought, he added, "I see you like the enchanted ceiling..?" His chin lifted as he took a glance up at the so-called moon.

Sage was getting quite warm with all the other bodies in the same room so she pulled her dark brown hair up into a pony to get it off the back on her neck.

"What is netball? How do you play?" Sage asked looking for a clean fork.

"I'm a Half-Blood. My mum was a Pureblood, but my dad was Muggleborn. I have a older brother too, I also have a younger sister and brother. Do you have any other siblings?" Sage asked also grabbing some baked beans after Emily.

Samuel was completely space as all this was going on then he came back to reality and notice some of the people he shared that crowded compartment with. "Oh hey guys sorry abut that, I think I am just overwhelmed by this place," He told the group sheepishly. Then Jayden came over and poked him in the back, "Hey Jayden, why are you not hanging out with your table?" It was then that he noticed the state of the dishes, "wait I wanna try something out I read," then he gets up, points his wand at a pile of messy dishes, "Scourgify," he says, and the dishes, while still in a haphazard pile, are now moderately clean.

"Sure, why not?" Ronnie said. "The Gryffindor common room is amazing! You'll love it!" she said. Ronnie watched as Plumeria took a mushroom out of her mouth. "I don't like them either. They're very disgusting!" she said, searching her food in case it had mushrooms or any other gross vegetables. Luckily, she found none. "How is that Pumpkin juice?" she asked.

Kurumi continued to make her way around the table, charming more cookies when needed and just trying to let the wave of rage from earlier completely wash away. He stood there silently,letting her talk.Besides,he wouldn't be able to interrupt because in all reality his voice would be drowned out by her's .

Thomas looked away from the only girl he knew to the other students around the table. They were all locked in conversation and suddenly the lad felt very alone. The ones his own age had two years of magical education over him. He frowned a little, only looking back at the girl when she'd finished playing with her hair and spoke again.

His eyes widened and his hand flew to his cheek where he scrubbed vigorously. “Where?” He asked her. “Is it cockroach clustah?” Urghhh.. Blaady 'ell. He KNEW those things were going to come back and haunt him. “It ain' funny.” He protested to her giggles.. but she'd already stopped and was looking scared again.

Then she started waffling... about Slytherins being mean and about her family and Tom blinked. “Me bruvvah ain' mean.” He said plainly. “'E's dead quiet an' tha'. I dun' fink 'e's evah been mean to anyone on purpose.” He shook his head. Surely they wouldn't use the hat if it was faulty. “But it's maagic.. it ain' human. I'm sure it jus' KNOWS. Wot makes you tick an' that. You must be ambitious or sneaky... or somefin'?” He frowned at her. She didn't look either of those things. “Wot 'ouses woz your bruvvahs in?” He asked her curiously.

She looked so sad. Tom didn't have a clue what to do. He looked towards the staff table and then back at the girl, reaching out a hand to pat her shoulder in an awkward manner. “Well if you ain' brave enough, why d'you wannah be a Gryffindor?” He asked her quietly. “An', like, no offence, bu' maybe you should be gettin' to know yer own 'ousemates instead of 'idin' ovvah 'ere.” Although he really didn't want her to go. He was trying to be kind.. but he was in the same boat as her here. He knew NO ONE. :/

He placed the cupcake down, taking in the state of the cutlery for the first time. His ma would not approve of this.

But, he had spoken too soon. He DID know someone else and he spotted her as she approached the table. Fee. Another Slytherin girl.

He gave her a smile and nodded in her direction as she sat not too far from he and the brunette girl he still didn't know the name of. “I got Gryffindor.” he stated obviously.

Ivan sat down at the Gryffindor table and began to eat while looking up at the floating candles thinking it was the coolest thing ever. He wondered what was going to happen next and what classes where going to be like.

Josephine nodded "It's okay!" she giggled "Are you excited?"

Josephine smiled at Anne "So how are you? I didn't saw you in the train!" she said a little bit dissapointed.


Josephine looked at the girl and nodded "Hey! I'm Josephine! This is my brother, Joseph" she gestured at her twin brother.

Sitting back and taking a deep breath, Emily noticed the new student at the table.

"Heeey!" she said with a wave. "What's your name?"

Jordan looked around for some first years, he noticed the girl whom he'd met briefly on the platform. "Hey, its Josephine isn't it?" he asked.

"Hey my name is Ivan, Ivan Moonstone. What is your name?" Ivan looked at the girl sitting at the table too.

"My name is Emily," she replied. "Moonstone... that's an interesting name..."

She paused, unsure of what to say next. Scanning the room for something to talk about, she picked up the basket of profiteroles and shoved them at the boy. "Here, you should try these.. They are delicious!"

Aye..there was the aye again

At some point, she would have to ask if someone in his family was related to pirates or not. But, she had already asked her ridiculous question for the day - the one regarding his hair.

"Well, you are a lion after all," she said with a quick wink.

Her eyes went back to the less than sanitary table settings and her nose wrinkled. "I do hope the house elves are alright..."

Kurumi nodded, and blinked a bit as their conversation drew to a sudden close. Then again, she already felt like she was being pulled in a million different directions, so the gesture was kind of welcomed. "Hopefully I will see you in the common room later." And then she walked away, after another bow.
"Slytherin won Gobstones and Quidditch, so they had a lot of points added for that as well," Kurumi said with a slight shrug of the shoulders. Her cheeks flushed just a bit as he complimented her. "I just study hard. You are giving me too much credit."
Kurumi smiled, and it only brightened when he implied that things were all settled now. "I am glad to hear that," she nodded. "If anything starts to bother you again, feel free to come and talk to me." Hopefully she would be able to give some half decent advice.

Kurumi's face brightened when she saw Carter had finally made his appearance at the table. She had heard rumors about him gaining a certain position and she had been dying to congratulate him. She rushed over to him, but her school shoes made a noise like squeaking tires when she saw that his robes were badgeless.

Open mouthed and finger pointing at the spot where the Quidditch captain pin should have been, Kurumi gawked at the seventh year for a few seconds. "So...the rumors AREN'T true?"

How disappointing.
"Like it was yesterday," Kurumi nodded as her mind was brought back to the trembling first year who had sat on the stool in the front of the room. "I was almost a hat stall. Not sure I had been a proper one, but the Sorting Hat took a while deciding where to put me. Ravenclaw was mentioned...but that was discarded, as was Slytherin. Not sure what it was that made the hat tip in the direction of Gryffindor, but I am glad it did."
Coming to another part of the Gryffindor table, Kurumi was just in time to see another new lion joining the pride - but this one didn't exactly look like a first year.

"Hello, welcome to Gryffindor," she smiled. "My name is Kurumi." Her smile faded when she saw that he was playing with the silverware. "That would be the house elves...and they are usually very concerned with things being clean. The kitchens are always spotless whenever I go in there..." Concern was written all over her face. What if something had happened to Twinkle and the other house elves? "I think Scourgify will help take care of the problem though." Not that she had tried it herself just yet.

"Yes, it is actually American Indian. My dad was indian. My owl has part of my name too. Thank you." Ivan grabbed one and tried it. They were delicious."You are right they are delic. Thank you so much. So what are you looking forward to." Ivan asked while going for the basket once more.

Ryan walked into the Great Hall andd sat down.He began to start eating when an owl flew down and dropped the daily prophet right onto his food.Unannoyed by the fuss he rolled open the newspaper and scanned through it and continued to read

Angelina walked over to the Gryffindor table, as like the other tables, to say hi to the new students that would be her classmates.

Adrianna giggled. "Is it really shiny?" she asked him, wondering if she would ever have a friend that she could steal shiny things from. It sounded like such fun.

"Well, you have a whole YEAR! There's plenty of time!" she told him with a broad grin. "What position do you play?" she asked, wondering what else she could learn about Quidditch, since this guy seemed to be a pro.

" I know you like to have a ;ot of fun" William told Ronnie." Glad you had a great trian ride until that unfortunate accident" William said to Ronnie." Good thing everything is ok noq with you" William smiled. " Going to go swimming this term with me?" William asked Ronnie.

" I am very happy to see you, too" William told Anna." I am fine " Willaim said to Anna. " How are you?" William asked Anna. " This food is really good" Willaim smiled.

"Yes, the ceiling is fantastic" William agreed with Adrianna." No, I thought you might be in at least your third term" William explained to Adrianna. " Nice to meet you Adrianna" Willaim smiled. " Yes. all the food is good and right now I reccomend the chicken, red potatos, stringbeans and the berry pie" William said to Adrianna.

" This is my house, Gryffindor" William told Louise." So are you and I going to hang out together?" William asked Louise. " You are a realy sweet girl"William said to Louise.

" Nice to see you again" Willaim told Ivan." Are you ready for HogWarts?" William asked Ivan."Do you like all this food?" William asked Ivan.

"Nice to see you as well William." Ivan was glad to see a familiar face from the train. "I am as ready as I can be for this new world of magic." Ivan thought of the fact that most of this new world was a complete mystery to him. " I totally love all of this food. I was starting to get hungry on the train and was tempted to go to the food trolley. What about you William?"
