He shook his head when she had thought he had been bored.She seemed nice,there had been no need for a small,subtle apology,it had been all well."No problem.Wasn't bored just admiring nature through the stained window..I know you're a fourth year an all,but I've never seen you..Unless I've gone blind.Then I should go to the hospital wing."Adam said poking his eye gently,an testing his sight by putting on finger to his nose an then moving it around,having his eyes dart behind it.

After waiting a while for the girl to reply to no avail Elsie stated to look around to see who she could talk to. Hoping everyone would be nice she walked up to a boy who she remembered getting sorted and a girl to introduce herself
"Hi I'm Elsie, I'm not interrupting anything am I?"

That had been Ariadne's first thought as well. That the house elves were on some sort of strike. But as Kurumi said, they seemed very sorry and humble when they eventually showed up at the feast. Following this thread of logic, Ari was still surprised by the Prefect's conclusion. 'You're saying it's possible that their magic could have faded? But what could be the cause?' the second year wondered if her wise housemate had theories on that too. 'They can apparate at Hogwarts? I didn't know that. But I knew that witches and wizards can't, I've read it in Hogwarts:A History.' the girl nodded. Remaining silent for a while, she mused about the kitchens being locked and what that meant. 'Ummm...this will sound awful, but I can think of no other way to say it. What if we organize a break-in, to see what's going on down there? I know we're bound to get detention and loose points, but I believe this is more important than points.' Ariadne suggested. She did care about elves, but more than that, she was curious what was going on. However, she didn't take into account that Kurumi was now a Prefect, a model for other students, who was unlikely to break any rules.

'What did you like best about New York?' The list of memorable places and events was probably endless, so Ari was waiting to hear just one or two things, the greatest. 'So your father has moved to London for good?' the girl asked, wondering whether she understood correctly. 'Oh, I didn't know he was a journalist. That's great! And so is the fact that you can spend more time amongst magical people.' she commented, with excitement characteristic of her age.

The first thing that crossed Ari's mind was 'Why did she have to leave suddenly?' but luckily she realized on time that it was a silly question and therefore avoided to ask it out loud. 'Transforming trash in useful items? Wicked! Do you happen to remember the incantation and wand movement?' the young Gryffindor was eager to try that out for herself. 'And a band? That sounds hilarious! Though I wonder what I would've played, I'm as non-musical as they get.' she chuckled. 'Anyway, Professor Magnus seems a great deal better than Shaw. I mean, what did he teach us exactly? To use a chainsaw and to turn cats into hats.' Not to mention that Ari's hat had a tail and whiskers, and that it took her weeks to turn it back into a cat, which then scratched her all over before running away.

"You're funny!" Anna said loudly laughing "Most likely you will not need the assistance of a doctor. Just I have two strange habits - escape from the crowd and frighten people, when they are immersed in their own thoughts." She transferred her gaze to the window, but not stopped smile "I don't like to stand out."

"Wow!" Jordan smiled, taking the rose. He took out his own wand, he concentrated hard and flourished his wand. The rose levitated into the air and it's petals turned red. He handed the rose back to Josephine, "There you go!" he smiled. "I know a few spells too!"

Lucy had been eating cookies now for a while now. Her mouth was about to pain. Kurumi these are so fantastic, what do you put in these. hmm....yummy!! "You seem kind of weird today, what's the matter?" she asked seriously. She cared for the girl obviously.

Lucy went for a shock when she heard those words for the boy's mouth. She started thinking what kind of a gryffindor was he? For a while she was speechless. She had no clue how to respond to such a question.

She was kind of getting tempered now. For a while now Lucy only thought the slytherin boys were one of these kinds, careless and disobedient. The boy really needed to get some make over in his behavior and manners.

She took a closer look at the boy and the way he was sitting on the sofa. She could make it out that this one wasn't the gentleman type. He was more of a lazy kind.

Relaxing herself she took a deep breath which made her cooling her down. She thought of giving a cool answer for his question. She gathered some smile on her face and said "Okay....So are you really sure you wanna learn it my way?" raising her left eyebrow.

"Hey thanks!" Willow smiled at the girl with shoulder-length brown hair and cute freckles.
"I'm Willow! Are you a first year too?" said she said hopefully, she liked making new friends and this girl seemed really nice! Tossing her long, blonde hair over her shoulder, she took a seat next to her.


Willow looked up from where she was standing and saw girl walking over to her. She was quite tall and had very long, golden blonde curly hair.
"Hi Elsie! Yeah, I'm Willow Draconis!" replied Willow, smiling at Elsie, she was quite pretty. "Pretty cool place huh!"

As Willow looked at her Elsie noticed her eyes. They were verily big but very pretty. "Willow what a nice name! Yeah I know! I am so excited about everything so far!" Elsie was glad everyone had been nice to her so far though she had never had any trouble socializing.
"So have you been enjoying everything so far?"

Josephine smiled and wiped a single tear "It's okay! I want classes to start soon! And I hope you get in the team" she laughed "I won't try out this year but the next one"

Josephine took the rose and placed it behind her ear "It's pretty cool! Can you teach me how to do that?" she asked.

Kurumi's attention was momentarily turned away from her conversation with the first year boy when she heard the shy voice of a girl from behind her. Looking over her shoulder, Kurumi smiled at the girl. "Not at all," she replied, shaking her head. "My name is Kurumi and this is Ivan. We were just discussing classes."

She patted the open space next to her for the girl to sit down.
"We are in the wizarding world. Everything that seems impossible becomes possible, right?" she laughed, tossing her head back a bit. As ridiculous as what she had said sounded, it was very true. With the aid of magic, her and her classmates were able to do all sort of things that she had never dreamed imaginable. Not to mention last year she saw her professors and friends enveloped by blue smoke and releasing the spirits of dead pirates who had taken their bodies over. Next to that, house elves contracting some sort of illness that made them unable to use their magic seemed to be more realistic. Har har. "Well, we have historical evidence that they could," she said with a wink. She was, of course, referring to Dobby the Free Elf. Kurumi frowned a bit. "I...I don't think a break in would be the best idea, though it had crossed my mind. I can just imagine the house elves beating themselves for not putting up enchantments or properly keeping students out. Putting us in danger as it were." She paused for a moment to think. "We COULD go and speak to the Headmaster though. The sign does say students are not allowed, but it doesn't say anything about...adults..." Kurumi's eyes widened. Was it...possible? She was not sure she really wanted to risk losing Gryffindor THAT many points for brewing the potion...nor the wrath of Dragon Lady.

However...she did have the notes for it now...

"The people," she said with a slight blush to her cheeks. Her thoughts drifting temporarily to Vickers. "Everyone spoke so differently and they always seemed to be in a hurry to go somewhere. Very different from the countryside life I am used to," she continued, trying to cover up her blush just a bit. "Oh, and the pizza. No mayonnaise on pizza is fantastic." Or corn for that matter.

Kurumi shook her head. "Only part time. He apparates between Diagon Alley and Japan. He has a flat here, just in case he needs to stay longer to finish reporting." As strange as it sometimes seemed to her, there was no way that her father could go very long not seeing her mother.

"The incantation is Covadium and the wand movement is very simple, just a swish to the left and then tap the piece of trash," Kurumi nodded. "Professor Magnus actually gave me permission to use the Transfiguration practice room, so you are welcome to come with me and I can try and teach it to you." Hopefully, Ari wouldn't melt her trash like Kurumi had.

And she wasn't going to comment on Shaw. The man was too scary.
Weird? Well, Kurumi certainly felt weird to be completely honest. Between house elves and boys, life made no sense. Had she really just put boys and house elves in the same sentence? House elves were easier to understand in Kurumi's book though. At least they followed some sort of pattern. "Really, I'm alright now," Kurumi replied. "Just, some bad things happened and, well, they happened. Nothing I can do about it now...." Just, you know, lost two very important people.

Charles walked into the common room, he was tired and he just wanted to sit down and relax. He didn't feel like going to the dormitory either, it was too quiet there and Charles disliked the quiet. Oh yes he did. He wondered vaguely about the whereabouts of Cheryl, and decided to look for her later. Perhaps the twins being in different houses has not been the best thing, them being close friends and all. Yet, Charles thought with a yawn, maybe that was best as Cheryl would've pestered him day and night about studying. Not that she doesn't that is.

Looking over the heads of gossiping girls, Charles made his way to a corner beside the fireplace and propped himself down of one of the comfortable couches. He relaxed and looked around the familiar common room, appreciating the fact that he's a Gryffindor for the first time.

Elsie happily sat down next to Kueumi.
"Thankyou! I'm Elsie? Classes? What ones your favourite I am so excited to start!"
As Elsie looked closely at Kueumi she noticed her purple eyes! Elsie was so intrigued by them as she had seem anything like them before. She did not want to seem rude so she didn't mention anything.

Midsentence in a book, Kurumi felt the soft move under her, signaling to her that someone had sat down next to her. Momentarily losing her place in her book, but not minding since it was a chapter she wanted to reread anyway, Kurumi looked up and saw a boy lounging on the sofa. He wasn't someone that she recognized from previous terms, but was sure she had seen him at the feast.

Now it was a matter of whether or not she had introduced herself to him or not.

"H-Hello," she said meekly, closing the cover of her book and resting it on her lap.

"I have always been partial to Care of Magical Creatures and Divination," Kurumi mused, leaning back in her seat. "Herbology with Professor Bentley is also fantastic, just be sure to wear comfortable shoes for class. The greenhouses can get a bit dirty." She refrained from commenting on Charms, although the woman and her eyebrow raise were etched clearly in her brain.

"All the classes sound so interesting!
Looking around the room Elsie noticed that all sorts of different people seemed to be socializing.
"I thought that only people in each others grades would talk to each other but everyone seems to be friends with everyone! Is it like this the whole year?

He saw a little left over tear and awkwardly wiped it. "Sorry." He said awkwardly. "What class are you most excited for? I'm excited for DADA and transfiguration. and I'm one of only like four or five people to try out for seeker, but i don't think i'll get it. There's people with more experience than me. But I also tried out for chaser. Why are you waiting until next year?" He said with a smile, trying to make her smile.

"Thanks! Elsie's very pretty too!" Willow blushed slightly, "And yeah, I have been! Everyone's so nice! How about you? Are you missing home?" she asked.

Adam gave a nod of the head. He wondered why Kurumi wanted to be distracted by her classes, but he felt like it would be inappropriate to ask given that they had only just met at the start of the term feast. "Herbology isn't my best subject, but I do enjoy working with plants," Adam said with a smile. Not to mention there were so many charms one could use in Herbology to help take care of the plants, and well, Adam really liked charms. "Why don't you think you made a good impression?" Adam asked, the surprise showing in his. Kurumi seemed to be incredibly nice from what the interaction he'd had with her so far.

Adam gave Kurumi another smile. "I was actually talking to another guy who told me the gazebo is new," Adam said, figuring that was going to be his spot to go if he needed to think or just be alone. It was so peaceful there. "I also heard that the waterfall is new? Have you gotten a chance to see it yet?"

Adam moved over slightly to Lexi had room to sit down at one of the open chairs if she wanted to. He noticed she seemed to be avoiding Kurumi, but he figured it really wasn't his place to get involved. He really didn't know either of them well enough...

"I'm doing alright. How are you?" Adam asked with a smile.

"Yeah I am a first year, my name is Ella! It's really nice in here isn't it?" Ella asked, whilst taking a muggle sweet out of the bag she was sharing with Sage. "Want one?" Ella asked holding the bag right under Willows nose.

"Ahh, look how cute he is!" Lilly cooed

"Nothing reealy. It's just that I really miss Vi."

Plumeria gazed up and found her staring into a pair of concerned pale blue eyes. A girl of around Fourteen or fifteen had come over to her and asked her whether she was okay. "Oh...I'm fine thanks. I'm just a bit tired from the first few days y'know?" She answered with a sigh. "And I think I'm homesick." Plumeria stared at the ground and could feel the pink tinge becoming more apparent on her pale cheeks as she blushed. "I feel as if I'm never going to fit in." Her nervous plum-coloured eyes met the girl's pale blue ones as she sighed again - before yawning and whipping a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I'm okay." She told her sister, leaning into the hug. "I just miss everyone. I miss granddad telling jokes and grandma always telling him off." I just feel...well I don't know how I feel. But i suppose it's just the first-week nerves." She said, staring at the orange and gold flames spinning around in the grate.

"Yeah, of course!" Jordan smiled, he told her the incantation and how to flourish her wand when performing the spell. He then demonstrated it again on one of his quills, "Now you try!" he said to Josephine.

She smiled at his happyness. She was glad first years will still so excited to come here. "I love everything here! But the library is really cool 'cause it's so huge. And the lessons are very good, the teachers are the best." She was rambling a bit, but Hogwarts was just so great. Everything was a dream come true!

Maxwell seemed almost troubled with the fact that Emily seemed sad and happy at the same time, but He figured He would get to know Her better before asking about it. "I haven't been down to the library yet, I'll have to make a trip down there soon. What's Your favorite class? and Who's the meanest teacher?"

"Aww, I'm sorry." Ronnie said. "Is there anything I can do?" she asked feeling quite stupid.

"Oh, I see." Ronnie said. "Yeah. You'll get used to it, and love it. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'll always be here for ya sis. If you want, we can send a letter to the family." Ronnie said.
