Av moved quietly to a chair, he was soo tired that he wanted more then anything in the world, his bed "I wonder who will be my roommate" he thought while looking around the common room.

As soon as skye had unpacked she went downstairs into the common room she sat in one of the arm chairs and looked at the blazing fire in the wall next to her. skye spotted a notice board which mentioned that one of her new lessons herbology will be starting on the sunday. she cudnt wait to start classes espeally the care of magical creatures.

Tom frowned in a confused sort of way. Always like what? Right? He shook his head and chuckled. “Nahhh.. I'm usually wrong. I ain' good at much b'sides drawin' an' tha'.” Academia. What the heck was academia? Tom could barely READ. He didn't even know the meaning of that word :/

He listened to her and shrugged. “Well I ain' go' many friends 'ere, so if you evah need someone to 'ang araun' wiff.” He gestured at himself. “I ain' good at makin' friends neevah.” And, lets face it, that wasn't going to change any time soon.

*grin* He successfully managed to get someone to call him Broadmoor. Girls tended not to like the second name stuff in Tom's experience. He nodded as he listened to the girl, although he frowned in confusion once again. “You woz adopted?” He asked lowering his voice and looking at her very seriously.

Poor girl.


And there was a FAMILIAR and friendly voice. Tom smiled broadly at Lexi. He was finally starting to relax. “You said tha', yeah.” He nodded. “Fanks! An' Fred owes me twenny quid now cos I ain' a Snake.”

He seemed more pleased about being twenty pounds richer than being a Lion. Well.. the houses meant very little to him yet, and twenty pounds was a LOT of money to young Broadmoor.

FIRE? His eyes lit up, then narrowed mischievously. “Wotchah go' in mind?”

First day here and the thirteen year old was already being led astray..

Ivan decided after some time of reading to go up to his dorm room and go to bed.

Wait... "Freddie owes you twenty squids? Whatchu want with sea creatures, Tom? That's just gross!" Lexi said and wrinkled up her nose a bit. Seriously... she would NEVER understand boys. Or Muggle money for that matter. Heh.

FIYYYYAAAAAHHHHHHH! Lexi was BOUNCING more now. Hehehe. She flexed her wrist and sent her wand sliding into her hand and began to twirl it between her fingers. "Weeeellllll, perhaps we could go down to the grounds and just... set stuff on fire." Gigggggles! "I do it all the time." Truth that was. She DID set fire to stuff a lot. "I set fire to a flock of conjured canaries last term... or the term prior to... I can't recall." FIIIIIIIYYYYYYAAAAAAHHH.

" Yes, I am a quicky" William laughed. "So are the classes up right now?' William asked Anna." I just wanred to hang out on the couch' William said to Ann. " Are you going to classes?" William asked Ann.

" Will I do as a friend again?" Willaim asked Sarah. ' I felt very close to you last season as I was polyjuiced as you and yo uwere polyjuiced as me" William explained to Sarah." Ready for classes?" Willaim asked Sarah.

" Hi, we never met, my name is William Starr" he introduced himself to the girl. " How do you like our common room?" William asked the girl. "are you ready to take on HogWarts?' Wiliam asked the girl.

Tom began to nod.. then it slowed and a confused look came over his features. The nodding ceased. Was this a joke? Tom wasn't sure if he should laugh or correct the girl. But she seemed serious, so he went with the latter. “Not squids, Lexi. Maggles ain' tha' weird y'know? I mean quid, pands.. like..” Um.. this was harder to explain than he thought it would be. “..Galleons, y'know? Money.”

There. Explained. As clear as mud.

The girl was bouncing and reminded Tom of his older sister in that moment. He smiled as she brought out her wand from up her sleeve ('Tha' woz clevah.'), and twirled it. “Wiff maagic?” He asked, eyes widening with awe. He chuckled as she enthused about setting things alight. “You'll 'afftah show me though, Lexi. I'm still clueless abou' maagic ain' I?”

He stood up and started towards the door. “You comin' or wot?”

The prospect of magic and he couldn't get out there sooner and start learning. This was certainly a first for Thomas.

..."Oh. Muggle money confuses me... I dun know anything about it really," she said with a furrowed brow. It really did her head in, money did. She had TRIED to understand American money when Salander had started trying to educate her in the ways of Muggles, but it had all failed miserably. "Well good on you getting some money out of him, then." SMIIIIIRK!

Lexi got up and started after Tom as he urged her along. HEHEHE. A little partner in crime! WOOOO. He was MUCH better company than Evelyn. Mhm.

"It's not exactly simple magic. It's... conjuring fire to come from your wand. I WILL teach you, though. Just don't get discouraged if it doesn't come to you right away, okay? Magic will come easier to you once you have had some practice. I promise," she said as she winked at him. She went bounding right past him and practically leapt through the portrait hole. HEHEHE.

Well, Herbology is in the Greenhouse and you learn about herbs and which plants are dangerous," Sage said bring her knees to her chest and starring into the fire, "You know, stuff like that!"

Josephine smiled "I liked it too! It was fun, best meal I've ever had!" she smiled at the boy and noticed how his eyes changed "Wow! Your eyes!"

Josephine placed her hand in her chin, as if thinking "DADA and Flying! I wanna try out as seeker in my second year! And you?"

After a delicious feast, Ronnie excitedly walked up to the portrait hole. "Carri-carri-carriwizard! I mean carriwitchet!" she said, she could barley speak because of how excited she was for the new year. The portrait swung open, and she walked in and headed for her favorite comfy chair (which was luckily open) and sat down. "It's good to be back, eh Scabbers?" she said. Scabbers poked his head out of her pocket and squeaked. "I take that as a yes." she said smiling. "I wonder where Jordan, Rose, Will, and Plumeria are?" she said looking around through all the Gryffindors for them.

Kurumi looked up and wasn't entirely sure who the boy was speaking to, but seeing as no one responded to him, she took it upon herself to do the honors. "If you look over there," she said, gesturing towards one of the walls in the common room. "You will see there is a notice board that gets updated by our professors, Jai, and myself."

"Thank you Lucy," Kurumi smiled back with a slight hint of blush on her cheeks. "I'm...doing alright." Could be better considering that she was still worried about the house elves. Even the food had tasted off...

Was there some tension in the air? Had the boy suddenly decided that he hated her for some reason? Whatever the reason, it was clear that the air between the two of them had awkwardness written all over it.

Kurumi's head snapped back towards the fireplace.

Kurumi saw Selina walk in and a small smile crept across her face. Really, she should have scolded her for punching Adam in the stomach, but as long as the boy hand't fainted or anything, she was going to let it slide this time. Besides, Kurumi had made contact first.

When she saw her best friend gesture towards the dorms, Kurumi nodded and mouthed 10 minutes to her. She would finish up down here and then head upstairs. She had the feeling that neither her nor Selina would be sleeping much that night.

"You have a twin brother?" Kurumi asked. Her eyes widened a bit again. How strange that just because the boy had been born in Japan that he was given a Japanese name. Not only that, but it was the name of her father's dog. Kurumi tried not to laugh. "I am actually from Japan, but it is a very small town. You've probably never heard of it." It certainly wasn't Tokyo to be sure.

And then there was Rose again with the kittens. Kurumi sighed and walked over to her. "Rose, I am going to have to ask you to keep these guys in your room or take them to see our new Care of Magical Creatures professor." They had already discussed this in the dormitories. One cat. Not five.

Oh, there was the boy she had met earlier at the feast. Blushing a bit, Kurumi waved first and then called out. "AV! You should com join us," she smiled. Well, by join us she really meant her and Walnut. How awkward.

'R-R-Ronnie...' Rose sobbed. 'I have t-to g-give the k-kittens away, a-and I want y-you to have one...' Rose smiled waterly. She picked up the kittens and placed them on Ronnie's lap. 'P-Pick one.' she smiled. Maxine jumped up and licked her kittens.

'I'm giving them to my friends, they can have them, the ones that don't have a pet, that's why they're here!' Rose said angrily. She was already upset about losing them, she didn't want to be berated about it! 'Three of the four people are in Gryffindor, so I'm giving them away, like you said! That way, I only have one!' she said simply. She was not going to let Kurumi see her cry. Nuh-uh.

"What?" Jordan gasped, "They're changing? Dammit!" He was hoping that nothing would happen for at least a few days, but no on his first day it had already happened. He concentrated on them going back to normal. "All better?" he asked Josephine.

Tom nodded. Muggle money confused him too. And wizard money he just didn't get At. All. He grinned. “I fink I'll get somefin' from that joke shop on Diagon wiv it next 'oliday.” They had cool potions an' tha' in there. Tom had spent aaaages looking but he couldn’t afford anything. He thought about nicking something, but he wasn't sure whether he'd get turned into a toad if he tried to leave without paying. The magical world was unpredictable he was finding very rapidly.

He listened to Lexi and frowned. None of it was going to be easy was it? And Tom had tried using his wand at home but nothing ever happened. NOTHING. Not even a few sparks from the end. *inward scowl*

“I'll try an' be patient.” He said sincerely. Although Tom and patience didn't mix too well. “I wont. Fanks, Lexi.”

He followed her through the portrait hole and tagged along the corridor behind the older student.

She smiled at his answer. She seemed to be doing that a lot more than usual since her fight with her best friend. "Oh do you like to draw?" she asked, very interested. She didn't know anyone that was good at art.

"Thanks." She gave him a small smile. "I'm actually in this really big fight with my best friend at the moment. I'm not sure we're gonna get over it, which is really upsetting since she's, like, my only and best friend and I've know her since 1st year." She really hated thinking about Nika at the moment. Especially after she was so horrible to her.

She really didn't like him frowning. Or anyone for that matter. It made her feel like she'd done something wrong. "Yeah." she said simply, fiddling with the hole in her shirt again. "I-It's complicated, but all I know is that they're my real family. Family is just complicated." She shook her head to dismiss it. "Sorry to dump this all on you. It dosn't matter, and like I've said a dozen times already, it's complicated." That was becoming something of a catchphrase for her now.

" How are yo uand Scabbers doing today?' Willaim asked Ronnnie. " Time to head for the lake' William told Ronnie. ' No time like the present to rid you of yoru fear' Willaim said to Ronnie. " Last one there is a rotten egg' William called out to Ronnie.

"Thank you Professor. I was just wondering what the schedule would be." Ivan was glad for an answer.

"Hello, Jordan. yes He's a Phoenix My Mum gave Him to Me. His name's Helios." said Maxwell feeling very proud of his pet.

Gideon waved off her appology once more, smiling at her. "Its alright, just glad yer ok," he reassured her again watching as she played with her familiar's ears. He shook his head to the negative when she mentioned them worrying too much.

Getting comfortable himself, Gideon listened to Kurumi speak of where she had disappeared to after the feast, the boy frowning at what he was being told. "Odd...and getting more and more odd..." he mused. The kitchens had always been open to students even at odd times...you didn't necessarily have to wait for food at meals which was a good thing for hungry teenagers.

Catching sight of Selina waving to them, he turned more fully to see her gesture. When he looked between the two girls and saw Kurumi mouth something the boy figured it was a girl thing. He waved back before changing it to a come heither gesture.

"Ye can come join us...I don't bite," he teased in half jest in reference to her 'speaking' from afar.

Great. Now Rose hated her. She could stand there and try to explain that it was better Kurumi than a professor - Kurumi wouldn't take away points for breaking a rule like keeping too many pets - but she could tell by the girl's posture and tone that she didn't want to hear any of it.

Deciding that saying nothing was probably best, Kurumi simply nodded and continued to walk around the common room.

Professor? Kurumi's eyes widened and she tried not to laugh. "I-I'm no professor. Please, just call me Kurumi."

Selina looked at the two fourth years and smiled at them both. However, her eye did catch the sight of Kurumi mouthing ten minutes and Selina nodded. So then she mouthed back to her friend okay. By the look on both of their faces she knew that this was not going to be a quick conversation. There was a lot to explain and a lot of things Selina needed to get off of her chest... ten years in the making. But she could wait another ten minutes, it was nothing that difficult for Selina to do. She had, after all, waited ten years.

Then she laughed at Gideons comment and walked over to them both, "Well I don't know you Gideon, how do I know that YOU don't bite? I trust Kurumi over there." Then she laughed and pressed on, "No you don't seem like that kind of person. So what are you two talking about?"

"My apologies Kurumi just a misunderstanding." Ivan said to the girl who helped him. "Thank you so much for your help Kurumi."

Murmuring the password to the weird, fat and pink lady at that well-known (at least by Gryffindors) portrait, Josh walked in the common room with quite much of the ordinary overly-confident Josh Carter style yet there it also could be obvious to those eyes who knew him that that attitude lacked something this time as he made his way towards the fireplace right after voicing out a ''HEY EVERYONE!''

And he knew what that lacked; energy. Normally the boy was pretty much energetic all time but after the meal, for some reason, he had started to feel so...sleepy. Maybe the long train ride had tired him or it was the pay off for all the work he had done during the summer. Whatever it was...the eighteen year old lion boy slowly took his tie and robes off, threw them at somewhere at random without paying attention to where they would land on and jumped on a couch before the crackling fire.

Comfy!!!!!! It had been so long time since the last time he had slept on something so comfy. That was going to be awesome.
