Drat, the girl hadn't reintroduced herself or anything. Kurumi was going to feel awful if she didn't figure out the girl's name. Maybe someone would stop by and say hello. She could always hope anyway.

"Nothing official," Kurumi said shaking her head. "Last term, we had a Defense Against the Dark Arts assignment in which we had to sing to people, so some of us made our own little singing groups." She smiled at the girl, hopefully that was a good enough answer. "You are more than welcome to try and start a choir with your friends. I would be sure to come and hear you all sing."
Kurumi looked up and her smile winded when Gideon came and joined her. "It was," she nodded. Perhaps a little too much so. "S-Sorry for, um, fainting in the Great Hall like that." Her cheeks flushed and she fidgeted with Walnut's ears for a bit. "I hope I didn't worry you too much..." She was glad that he, August, and Carter had rushed to her side though.

Kurumi kicked her legs up and tucked them under herself so she was sitting Indian style on the sofa.

"I actually went to the kitchens after the feast...but the house elves had closed it off. No students allowed." She looked at Gideon and had the sudden urge to play with his hair "I'm really worried about the house elves, Gideon. I hope they are alright in there..."
Kurumi shook her head. "It's alright." To be honest, Kurumi had been distracted herself meeting and greeting, and then the house elves, and then her fainting, and then the Headmaster's speech...it had been an eventful opening feast and she was glad to be back in the comfort of the common room and off her feet.

"My holiday was busy," she laughed, tossing some of her long black hair over her shoulder. "I spent the first month in New York studying abroad, then I visited a friend in Orlando, Florida for a week, and then returned back home to Japan for the remainder of the summer." Those last weeks at her home had certainly been interesting and NOT what she had expected at all. The more she thought about it, the more is made less and less sense. "How was your's?"
Kurumo nodded her head to the boy Jordan as he entered. He seemed to pop up everywhere she was and he always had a look on his face like he really REALLY wanted to speak with her.

She waved to him, and then returned to petting Walnut.

Oh.

Tom hadn't meant to offend with his comments.

He waved his hand dismissively. “Dun' 'pologise! I'm only sayin wot I've 'eard.” He frowned at her words. He couldn't see why anyone would be mean to this girl. She seemed nice enough. “Well tha' ain' nice.” He mumbled. “I could 'av a word wiff em if you like. Give 'em a piece of me mind.” And, boy, would he. He smiled a bit and nodded when asked if he was pleased with being a Gryffindor. “Yeah. Very. Freddie fought I woz gonna be a Snake. Lost a bet. Now 'e owes me twenny quid.” *grin* “You like it, I take it?”

Oh, she was a third year too! Well that was nice. His ma would be proud of him making friends so quickly with someone his own age. The people he hung around with at home always tended to be older and his ma worried he was influenced by his older peers. Emily? That was a pretty name. “I'm Tom Broadmoor.” He introduced himself. “Bu' me mates back 'ome call me Broadmoor.”

Cos it sounded well 'ard.

Innit.

"Carriwitchet" Ivan said to the Fat Lady. She opened up and let him in. "Thank you" Ivan walked in and went straight upstairs and found his dorm room. Then grabbed some books and went into the common room. "So how do we know what classes to go to?"

Aw. She liked this kid. He was cool. And would actually put up with her, which was probably something short of a miracle.

"Aw, that's sweet of you. But it dosn't matter. It was back in me first year anyway, and I'm used to people being mean. I used to be bullied at my old muggle school, I just shrug it off now."
Gosh, she hadn't thought about that in ages. She'd buried those memories long ago, never to be brought up again. But thinking about it now... she was alright with it. It was years ago, in the past.

She grinned at his next words. "Ha! Well done. My sister was a Gryffindor and I so wanted to be like her. That's why I was so hoping to be a lion." And she was... Yey!

Should she have said her last name as well? Ah. She smiled at Broadmoor wondering if she could call him that, or just Tom? "Well it's nice to meet you Broadmoor. Or Tom. Which would you like me to call you?" Just so she was clear.
"So did you go to a muggle school before here?" she asked pulling her legs up on the chair as well. She was tired, but still full of energy... if that made sence. Probably not

Lucy was now bored sitting all by herself, she wanted to talk, she's a talkative person. So to welcome the other first years she looked around at a few entering the room. Some of them were there in a group sitting having some cookies. Lucy loved cookies definitely, she remember the first time when Kurumi handed out a few to her. It was really a pleasant experience for her.
She walked over to them and said "Hey guys! How’s everyone?" She said and grabbed some cookies and dumped them in her mouth. "Hmm, lovely cookies, Kurumi, love them!" she said smiling at her. "Thank You."

Jordan really wanted to confront Kurumi and ask her if she was a metamorph, but he didn't want to scare her off. He'd much rather have a metamorph friend than one that didn't like him.

He waved back but he'd speak to her later he thought to himself.

Any familiar faces in there? Sarah gave a quick glance at the Common Room before entering. She felt re-assured. Casually, she entered the room and smiled at the few students there. "Hey people" she called out. Too cheerful. But then, it was back at Hogwarts!

Selina stalked all the way up the stairs of the tower to reach the Portrait of the Fat Lady on her way into the Common Room. The third year Gryffindor was already exhausted by the long day she had just had and all of the food she had just digested. She knew that once she walked into the Common Room she would have to go and talk to Kurumi, it was what the two planned on, but the last person she wanted to see at the moment was Adam Burn and he was bound to be in the Common Room as well, being that he was also a Gryffindor.

Finally Selina uttered the password and made her way into the Common Room through the Portrait Hole. She said a few words to the Fat Lady who welcomed her back and then she was in the warm and comfy Gryffindor Common Room. The whole room just filled Selina with warmth. She missed this place so much; it was more of a home than her own home.

As she scanned the room she did not see any sign of Adam, thankfully. She did see Kurumi though, as well as the other Gryffindor Gideon that Selina was still slightly embarrassed at not knowing about his existence. Ah well, she would get over it.

She waved at the two and nodded to Kurumi gesturing toward the dorms. Time to get this over with, she had a lot to say.

First year? Oh well that was a long time ago. Not even worth bothering about. He glanced at the girl as she admitted she was bullied and he looked at his feet. Yeah.. he knew how that felt too. Not necessarily being bullied, but being made fun of. Tom would give back as good as he got.. until he just gave up on school completely and stopped attending. “People ain' nice sometimes. They fink it's fine to make fun a'yer if yer a bit differen'.” He frowned and shook his head. “Bu' yer away from it all now. Bes' not dwell on the past.” He gave her a small smile.

The smile grew into a grin. Yep. Twenty whole smackeroons. “An' you got wha' you wan'ed. 'av you got many friends in this 'ouse?” He asked her curiously.

He chuckled. “Broadmoor.” He stated with a nod. “Sounds bettah than Tom I reckon. It's nice to meechah too, Emily.”

He nodded. “Yeah. I'm maggleborn. Didn't fink I'd be maagick like me bruvvah an' sistah, bu' 'ere I am. Wot 'bou' you?”

Lexi gave the password and climbed through the portrait hole. She couldn't help but sigh a tiny bit as she caught sight of her sanctuary. The common room was HER place. Mhm.

As she was making her way over to HER sofa -- yeah it was HERS. It had been hers since her first year. There was probably a Lexi sized lump in that sofa by now... Oh yeah... she was making her way over there when she spotted TOM! EEEEEE.

Smiling brighter than she had all day, even when she had been down by the water, she approached him and tapped his shoulder. "See there! I KNEW you would be in Gryffindor! Welcome home, then. Wanna go set something on fire?" she asked as she bounced up and down with the excitement of things. Hehehe.

Lucy looked at someone entering the room. She felt as if she knew her. Lucy waved at her and said "Hey there, how have you been? I'm Lucy Smith." Saying that she smiled at her waiting to see how the girl reacts.

Josephine's eyes widened and she nodded "I loved it! And Hogwarts is absolutely amazing!"

Josephine smiled "Yup! Did you like the feast?" her eyes sparkled happily.

Josephine looked at Helios and smiled "He's so extremely beautiful! Can I touch him?" she asked Maxwell.

Josephine smiled "You would? Thank you! My twin brother, Joseph would help me, but he doesn't like to sing, aren't our parents original? Joseph and Josephine, my older brother's name is Hikaru, he was born in Japan, me and my twin were born in Ecuador" she rambled

She knew he was right. She deffinatly need not think about it which is what she tried to do. Why anyone cared that she was a 'nerd' she'd never know, let alone use it to make fun of her. "Yeah, your right. Are you always like this?" Right she meant. 'Cause she was always the right one.

Her smile faultered a bit at his next question. "Yeah, I-I've got a few. I'm actually not that good at making friends to be honest..." Which was probably why her and her best friend were in such a big fight at the moment. And why she prefered books. They had less issues than people.

"Ok Broadmoor." she nodded, laughing a little.
Ah, this was where the complicated bit came in. "I'm actually half and half. My mam's a witch and dad's a muggle, but it's kind of complicated after that, 'cause I now live with two muggles." She'd probably now have to explain about being adopted now, but she didn't mind that much. She'd changed quite abit during the summer and broadmoor seemed nice enough, she could probably trust him.

Maxwell looked at Helios, then back at Josephine. "Of course You can, Josie. He's very freindly. and He's useful if I get hurt His tears can Heal Me." Maxwell said with a smile.

Jordan smiled and sat down, "I loved the feast, it was smashing!" he replied, "Yourself?" he asked.

"Hey Maxwell," Jordan said to the other boy. His mouth dropped open, "Is that a pheonix?" he asked incredulously.

"Carriwitchet!" Ella said to the painting of the Fat Lady which had taken her ages to find. Upon muttering the words Ella noticed that the painting had swung open to reveal a hole in which she could see the Gryffindor common room beyond.

Ella clambered through the hole and into the common room. She then just stood there and started looking around hoping to see someone she knew from the feast.

Ariella entered the common room and breathed a sigh of relief. She was home at last! After making her way up to the dormitories to claim her bed, she returned to the common room and flopped into a chair, happy to relax for a few days before classes started.

Ariella noticed a young girl looking a little bit confused and worried in the common room. "Hiya!" she exclaimed to the first year, sticking out her hand. "I'm Ariella Adler. Second year. Nice to meet you!" she said cheerfully.

"Hey, I am Ella Wood, first year. Nice to meet you too." Ella said.

Sage nodded in agreement.

"I can't wait for classes to start! Which ones are you looking forward to?" Sage asked, glad to meet another first year.

When Ella Wood crawled through the hole and into the Gryffindor common room, Sage perked up immediantly.

"Ella! Over here!" Sage called, waving her over to the large chair that was practically swallowing Sage.

"Sage! Hey!" Ella shouted and ran over to where Sage was sitting with some other people. "Well, move over a bit." Ella said to Sage who was sitting in a chair so big that you would think it was there for a giant.

"Hi, Ella!" Ariella replied. "So are you excited to be starting at Hogwarts?" Why was it that she always had to small talk with everyone? She seemed to always ask the newbies if they were excited. Of course they were! She hadn't met someone who hasn't been excited for Hogwarts.

Rose walked back in with Maxine and the kittens following her. 'COOKIES!' Rose beamed as she walked forward and picked one up. 'Thanks, Kurumi!' Rose grinned as she went to sit down and got swamped by kittens and their mum.

Sage laughed and wiggled over, making room for Ella on the chair.

So," Sage said once they were situated, "What do you think? Really puts everything into perspective, huh?"

Sage said referring to the common room. She waved her hand at maroon and gold walls on which sat a banner of a lion. Below the mighty animal it read 'Gryffindor' in big shiny letters.

"Oh, yes I am very excited! Those paintings really freaked me out though. I diddn't expect to see them moving let alone talking, and when I had to give the password to that painting covering the hole then it moved and I was like wow thats amazing." Ella said the last bit really quickly all in one breath, the experience of joining the wizarding world was so overwhelming.

"Yeah, it is really nice!" Ella said still looking around at the room with her mouth half open. She closed her mouth suddenly and snapped her head around to look back at Sage and asked. "Do you know when classes start?"

"I think it said on the Notice Board that we have a Herbology Lesson on the 9th," Sage said turning around in her seat to show Ella the notice board, or at least she tried to turn around!
