The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Carriwitchet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby.

"A bi-sickle? Who would want to ride those puny coins?" Rafe shook his head. He never really understood the whole muggle lingo, but Larentia gave him a lecture on how fascinating their lifestyles were compared to wizards and wants to start a division in the pack that helps them. Rafe was always open to expanding. "And why would I ride something that's made of silver? Don't you remember what I am?" Rafe's tone was more stern and he gave Carter a low growl. "I'm always irritating Marilyn these days and I can't blame her for wanting space after telling her everything, but I'm just happy to see that she's safe." Carter was a good chap and knew Marilyn could be perfectly happy with him. "I've extended my hand in friendship to her and that's all I ask of her. And even if she can't do that, just knowing she's alive and never has to worry about her father again and can live a life where's she's free to choose is fine by me."
Carter laughed. "Well, it's been 6 years since we meet." which was practically half their lives. Kinda. It was a little weird to think that he hadn't always known about magic.
"It's a muggle thing. Nevermind." he said with a shrug. "My point was, I don't think quidditch is something that you forget how to do."
Did he just growl? That was... weird.
He smiled and slapped his friend's shoulder. "I'm sure she'll come around. You know how she is." And once again... was he just giving him Marilyn advice?
This was just weird. He needed to turn their conversation to something else.
"So everything turned out well then?" he asked when Rafe mentioned her father. He hadn't had any updates and really wanted to know that everything was safe for her again.

Septimus drifted into the Gryffindor common room, his sharp gray eyes flicking from lion to lion. He was reminded vaguely of himself as he eyed a group of bashful first years. He saw some new prefects walking with a new spring in their steps. He saw a few familiar faces and thought of saying 'hello,' but instead made a beeline for his favorite couch. He started doodling in his notebook some more. He was almost out of pages, so he made a mental note to get another notebook.
Lucy stared at the new face entering the class. Well she didn't see the boy earlier so she thought of saying a friendly hello to the person. He looked as if he was i the first or second year. She looked at him and said "Hey, i'm Lucy" and smiled.

Kurumi nodded. "I-I saw, but I think the only list up right now is for writers...and I'm a photographer," she half mumbled.
But, Kurumi could take a hint when it was being forced in her face. Not knowing why the girl who had been a mentor for her the past three years was suddenly pushing her away, Kurumi stood up. "I guess I'd better get going..." Doing whatever it was she was going to do.
Seemed like a lot of people she always turned to in need were the very people she couldn't go near anymore. Not the best timing for all this to happen.

From what he had heard though Professor Lafay, the Potions Professor was definitely someone that he should avoid at all costs. "I haven't gotten around to introducing myself to all the professors, but I hear Professor Lafay is kind of frightening," Adam said with a little frown. After all she had been the most sour looking professor at the staff table when Louisa was pointing out the professors to him.
Adam noticed that Kurumi's cheeks had blushed at his compliment. Well...it seemed like she was just as modest as him, and if Adam was able to blush he probably would have blushed right then as well. "I may not stutter but that doesn't mean I'm not collapsing from nerves on the inside," Adam said with a laugh before giving Kurumi another smile. "And..um...thank you." Adam knew there were some people out there that were not a particularly big fan of him, but he figured that as long as he didn't focus on them, maybe they wouldn't be as noticeable.
It was impossible for Kurumi to keep a neutral face when Adam mentioned Dragon Lady. "She is intimidating," Kurumi said bluntly. "She is the one professor that I almost always find myself stuttering in front of. No matter what I do, the first sentence is always a stutter...I thought she was going to turn me into a newt...still do really." Kurumi shivered for a moment remembering the one time she had been called to the front to test a potion and had had one of the bones in her arm removed.
And now it was awkward. Really awkward. Kurumi simply sat their playing with the hem of her skirt.

Ari was afraid she might seem ignorant, so it was better to change the subject and make a mental note to do some research later.'Okay, I will go too, see if he tells me the same thing he tells you.' the young girl nodded.
'I've never had caramel apple. I miss up on many delicious food products, since my mum is such a terrible cook.' Ari laughed, remembering her mother's experiments in the kitchen, which looked more like Alchemy than cooking. 'Mayonnaise? Yuck! I definitely wouldn't like that on a pizza. But corn doesn't sound that bad...' All this talk about food made her suddenly hungry.
Ari got the hint:'Sure, I'll help with the trunk whenever you're ready to go.' The second year prayed it wouldn't be too heavy, since she couldn't really be trusted not to drop things.
"Be sure you do," Kurumi nodded. "His story is a fascinating one. Really makes you rethink house elves and what you know about them. She nodded a bit more as their conversation about house elves came to a proper close. Perhaps they would be seeing each other in the Headmaster's office."
Kurumi frowned. Caramel apples were really delicious. "Tell you what, maybe I can throw a small Halloween party or something here in the common room with some caramel apples." Then the little lion couldn't say she had never had one. "It isn't all that terrible to be honest, but New York pizza is just ten times more delicious."

"No problem," she chirped with a wink. The Summoning spell wasn't really anything to brag about in terms of ability, but certainly was the one that she used often enough at school. Banishing things, now THAT was a spell that brought back some horrible memories. "I hope it isn't too bitter. My mother likes her green tea that way."
"Oh, no, it's nice! I'm not fussy, but I like green tea in any form," Lauren explained with a smile "Nice cup too," she added with a wink.
"So, how are you enjoying classes? You seem like a total whizz kid!"

"Yeah she is, I don't know what I would do without her." Ivan then thought about sending Moon with a letter to his uncle with news of what school was like.

Maxwell was happy with Her reaction. "I'm not sure, but i don't think you get to pick. From what I've read it seems like it's a reflection of the animagus' true nature and is most likely the same as one's patronus. But I'm not sure how long it will take Me to learn it. It's difficult magic."
Josephine nodded and took some chocolate frogs from her bag, handing one to Maxwell she said "I can help you if you want, of course, researching and all, and then with the practice... I would like to be an animagus, but I'm sure it would be too hard for me to try, my uncle is an animagus, he transforms into a raven and knows a lot about it... maybe I can ask him" she started rambling absentmindedly.

But Josh, Master of Getting Detention, was never one to go back on his word. "I really wish that you and my cat could make amends," she sighed. Not only that, but it seemed very VERY strange that a seventh year and a cat were in a fight for dominance over the common room.
Her attention was distracted for a few moments, but her head snapped back around when she felt something hit the back of her head and tumble across the ground. A chocolate frog box? Kurumi immediately felt a bit sick. Was she having another nightmare about those jumpy things?
On the plus side, there was a chocolate frog card inside. Picking it up, she turned it over to see that it was a Merlin card and that he...WHAT? "Slytherin? Merlin was in Slytherin?" she squeaked, her jaw hanging even more open now.
And then Josh opened his mouth again.
o_____________________O
At first, she blushed a deep pink at him calling her Pretty Prefect Princess. Although, any nickname Josh gave her made her blush, so this was nothing new. However, her jaw was now gaping like a fish out of water when she heard her new, and unofficial title.
"P-P-P-Personal secretary and manager?!"
Kurumi tried to hide her cheeks in her hands because they were practically on fire right now.
She felt a momentary sense of relief when it seemed like Josh was going to take care of the twins that were rolling around in a sibling rivalry fight in the middle of the common room, but that ended up now being the case. Kurumi smacked her forehead with the palm of her right hand.
I should have known...
Make amends with that cat?
After that Josh had to lift himself again to have a better look of Kurumi's pretty face. For sure, he was not enjoying it when he found his stuff damp and smelling like urine and he was always too lazy to get them washed so making amends was not a bad idea yet the cat was...not the kind to do. At least Josh thought that way. ''It is him who started that for no reason, though. So i demand him to suggest it.''
Yes, he was talking about the cat. Or maybe it was not a cat and something in disguise in a form of a feline. Well...because now Josh himself had a cat too and it had not peed on anything despite the fact that he was a baby cat yet. Now he was feeling the need of mentioning this to Kurumi however what the girl said next made him completely forget about it.
Merlin.......Slytherin?
The boy could not help laughing out rather loudly. ''Such lies!!'' he said between breaths ''Those snakes are very creative when it comes to lying. No doubt they are.''
Of course, as it always happened when Slytherins were mentioned, Josh's mind wandered off to the thoughts about a certain she-snake...which did not last much because of Kurumi's reaction to her new title. Well? Was not she happy with it?
Giving the girl a charming smile, Josh sat up and nodded ''Yes. Exactly.'' He was sure that this girl would make an awesome personal secretary and manager....with her means of doing everything perfectly. If Hogwarts chose her as prefect then Josh was giving her the honour of being his manager....which was no doubt a biggest thing than the former. ''Don't worry i am not going to ask you to do stuff like dressing me up.''
Bwahahahaha...

Ah! Look at there!
While Josh had nothing against firsties, he knew sometimes they could give one a headache yet apparently this one was a good girl for she had apologised for her previous behaviour. Good girl. Good Girl!! But what was with bowing? Whatever...he could ignore that yet...sunimasen? Huh? What was that? It was not an insult, right?
Eh, apparently not since an insult would not fit in that sentence. ''That's great. Good girl.'' maybe he was going to ask what that sunimasen meant later on ''And for being such a good girl, you have just officially won a dinner with me.''

She was kind of getting tempered now. For a while now Lucy only thought the slytherin boys were one of these kinds, careless and disobedient. The boy really needed to get some make over in his behavior and manners.
She took a closer look at the boy and the way he was sitting on the sofa. She could make it out that this one wasn't the gentleman type. He was more of a lazy kind.
Relaxing herself she took a deep breath which made her cooling her down. She thought of giving a cool answer for his question. She gathered some smile on her face and said "Okay....So are you really sure you wanna learn it my way?" raising her left eyebrow.
Ha!
Was the girl getting angry with him? Umm...though he tried to have a closer look of her, Josh's attempt of figuring it out did not really work. Well...things were always difficult with girls anyway. They were complicated beings and hard to understand.
So, the lion boy just waited in silence for her response, staring at her. Once he had heard that Gryffindor girls generally had short temper yet he had not believed it since he knew Kurumi was nothing like that...but this girl...eh...he could not see that either. He did not know. Whatever...
And finally she spoke...uttering words that made the boy smirk. Really? ''Why not?'' so he asked and his smirk grew wider. ''Are you going to start from how to arrange my underwear?''

He glanced over at the 'pretty prefect princess', as Josh called her. What was this he TALKING about? :S A fight? His eyes shot back to Josh. He didn't WANT a fight. His ma would kill him for getting into a scrap so soon. Although he did like the idea of smacking Josh one for being so.. so..
Ajajakdaoruaohf!!!!
So Tom didn't have the right descriptive word in his vocab for what Josh was being. Freddie would've been good to have around right now because. A) He was a walking dictionary and, B) He was pretty sure Josh wouldn't be acting this way if big bruv was present. Freddie was mild mannered and a gentleman.. but being tall, unsmiling and shaving your head had it's pluses.
“I dun' want a blaady fight.” He replied frowning. “I jus' want an apology.”
Yep.
And he wasn't budging until he got one.
So he stood and waited..
Boy boy boy boy....
Upon hearing the younger lion's words...or more like insult...Josh raised his eyebrows and sat up. There was no angry expression on his face though. Not at all. He was never going to get angry at someone who did not know who he was and insulted him with some prejudicial idea. Not to mention he was young and apparently needed to learn...things. ''Now, dude. I don't see any reason to insult anyone.'' If he wanted to insult then he had better save those words to more suitable moments. Not so simple ones like that.
''And good thing you don't want a fight. I did not think you did at first place but you kind of looked like you did, y'know?'' Grinning some, Josh glanced back at Kurumi for a moment before turning back to the boy. Apology huh? Apology? Well...he did not see a reason to apologise to anyone either. ''Apology for what exactly?''
Then he started to search his pockets for another chocolate frog or other sweets.
"The differences are always there, but believe me it is better friends than your family you'll never find." Anna smiled at the girl. "They'll never betray and will not leave in trouble."
"Yeah, your right," said Plumeria agreeing. "I'm glad I'll always have my siblings to protect me." She looked around the common room, and then snuggled into the couch even more. Despite the warm fire, Plumeria was quite cold.
"So," she began, ignoring the goosebumps peping out of her skin. "Have you got any plans for later?" she asked, wondering whether Anna had somewhere to go later on.
Maxwell accepted the chocolate frog. "Thanks, Josie that would be great! I'll take whatever help I can get." He said with a smile before eating the chocolate frog.

Josephine snapped out of her daydream and looked at Maxwell "Huh? Oh yeah! Help!" she opened her package and looked at the card "I got Harry Potter! I didn't had this card, and you?"
Lucy stared at the new face entering the class. Well she didn't see the boy earlier so she thought of saying a friendly hello to the person. He looked as if he was i the first or second year. She looked at him and said "Hey, i'm Lucy" and smiled.

Adam gave a little nod understanding...poor Kurumi. If Adam stuttered he was sure he would stutter in front of the woman too. "Some people just can't be nice...it's not in their DNA or something," Adam said with a little shake of the head. In fact, Adam wondered why he wasn't more like that himself. After all most people who'd had his home situation would probably be angry at the world and everything in it. Well...Adam was just glad that he was able to move past all of it. No point in dreading over what you can't change. "Well...if she turns you into a newt I'll turn her into a worm and you can step on her," Adam said with a little smirk. He was kidding of course, but he thought he'd make the offer anyway. She was a fellow Gryffindor so of course he had her back!
Adam felt bad for making the situation so awkward, but thankfully JB saved the moment. Adam thought that JB was sound asleep on his bed, but apparently not, because the dog came bounding and had tackled himself into Adam's lap before he even had time to react. The chair wobbled on the impact of JB ramming into him, and the next thing he knew the chair was down, Adam's legs up in the air.
Oh. Dear.

COMMON ROOM.
AKA, a place to sink into armchairs and rest your feet up for a bit.
And, this was precisely what Paulie Foster did. These armchairs were almost too comfy, and the fifth year was convinced that, one of these days, he was going to fall asleep in one and then end up being late for class the next day.
With a content sigh, Paulie stretched out his legs a little further and enjoyed these moments were he didn't have to think about Charms or DADA.
"Well, I'll give it a whirl." Rafe was going to try out, but he wouldn't be surprised if some firstie tried to show him up. "You're going to be a great leader, Sinatra." Rafe flashed a genuine smile his way. "And Puddlemore United will be lucky to have you!"
Rafe's smile left. He didn't know if it was the best idea to mention that he knew that information, but it was already out there. "Anyways...Yeah, the Benjamin situation is completely taken care of. Marilyn can finally live a life where she's free to choose and in complete safety." Hopefully that bit of news would make Carter happy. "You're a lucky guy mate, and I know you can make her happy."

Ronnie had just finished up her portrait, she had changed it up a bit to Rose's cat and her kittens. She was going to give it to Rose, once she found her. Ronnie hadn't seen her in the Common Room yet. She looked around longingly for someone to talk to. She felt very lonesome, she normally was about the common room chatting with her mates. She then spotted someone alone, stretched out in a chair, they looked around in their fifth year probably. She walked up to him, hoping that she wasn't disturbing a good relaxation time. "Hi, I'm Ronnie Weasley." she said, stretching out her hand.
