It was one of those days, it was clearly the end of winter, but it wasn't quite warm enough to be considered spring or summer. On your way to Greenhouse Three you stomp and slush through muddy puddles where the grass has grown thin and the dirt is exposed. The sky overhead is cloudy but the chances of rain are slim. No.. what the sky does hold is hope for the warmer days to come.
Inside Greenhouse Three you find that the Busy Bee had been rather successful. Everything was neat and orderly, even if there were no plants in here as yet. So why would Bentley be holding a lesson in an empty Greenhouse? Hhhmmm I wonder.
The focus of the Greenhouse is on the long raised flowerbed that runs down the middle of the space. Empty plant hangers swing slightly from the ceiling as a chilly breeze drifts through.
Professor Bentley isn't here yet, but she won't be long.
OOC: The lesson has officially started, do NOT announce your late arrival unless you want to lose points. Just pretend as if you were there all along. If you haven't done so already then please read through the Herbology Rules and Expectations and the SS Site Rules. All SS Board Rules apply. IC rule breaking will result in IC punishment, OOC rule breaking will result in OOC punishment. Please behave appropriately and most importantly... have fun. If you have any questions don't hesitate to send me a PM.

"Hello Professor, how are you today?" he asked eyeing the box that the professor had just brought in. "Cant wait to see what is in that box professor." he grinned.
Selina dragged herself down to the Greenhouse. She liked Professor Bentley and all; she liked Herbology as well; she, however, did not like the prospect of having to get up on a nice day and go to class. But she had never skipped a class in her life so she would go to class. Yes, even if the weather outside was beautiful, she would go to class.
She walked inside the Greenhouse and smiled at her Professor, "Morning Professor." Then she went and found her place in the Greenhouse and got ready for class to start.
Janice greeted Professor bentley as she strolled into the greenhouse. Everything was rather neat, now that they've had cleaned it before. Egg squirms every 30 seconds, which made Janice's pockets uncomfortable. She tucked her hand inside and seezed it, hoping that Egg would understand. She looked up, wondering what's inside the box.

As she took a peek inside she saw that there were already a fair number of students chatting to and fro. Then she saw Professor Bentley, holding a box that was errr--moving.. Uh-oh, doesn't look too nice.
With a breath she entered the Greenhouse, "Good day Professor." She said with a small bow as she walked over to a seat close to Kurumi Hollingberry.
"Morning Beatrice," she greeted the Ravenclaw brightly.

Hhmmm... never mind.
Well that was it, she couldn't wait any longer, this was just far too exciting. Positioning herself at the front of the room, just off to the side of the raised flowerbed, Seren cleared her throught and clapped her hands together to gain the students' attention. "Right, good morning everyone! thank you all for coming to this, the last Herbology lesson of the term. I'd like to firstly take the opportunity to thank those of you that vollunteered your time and came down to help with the clean up, I assure you it was very much appreciated." There was no way she could have done it all herself.. it wasn't so much the work that was involved, Seren didn't mind getting her hands dirty, but simply seeing the greenhouse in that state that it was... well it broke her heart. So the help was very much appreciated.
"Now as you can see," she said gesturing around at the empty beds and pots and hangers, ".. there is still some work to be done. And that's where todays lesson comes in."
"Today we will be sprucing up the place a bit and adding a little colour."
Pulling the medium sized box toward her she picked it up and gave it a gentle shake, just enough so that the seeds inside them rattled and clinked. She was rather fond of these beauties. Lifting the lid she exposed the seeds within. They were shiny, pea pods shaped like shells, in bright colours. They came in pink, purple and orange. Such lovely colours in Seren's opinion.
"Now can anybody identify what seeds these are?"
OOC: The lesson has officially begun, so please do not announce your late arrival (unless you WANT to lose points). The lesson will continue in approximately 16 hours from the time of this post. Don't be afraid to have a guess and be creative.

Janice smiled uncomfortably, thinking, what could it be? Flesh-eating shrubs are colourfull indeed, but she thought that it would be too dangerous for Professor to teach.
"Erm, puffapods?" she said after raising her hand. It might be not puffapods because the trees would just pop out about now. It could also be Flesh-Eating shrubs, so... "Or Flesh-Eating shrubs?"
Spike was bouncing along merrily with his bulbs on his chair, his feet lightly kicking in front of him. He waved his hand in the air too, as he realised what the pods Prof Bentley was showing them were likely to be. "Are they types of puffapod, Professor?" he said, before wrinkling his nose. "I'm disappointed there's no blue ones though. Why are so many flowers pink?"
Pink was Indy's colour. Not his. He liked blue. Or maybe a bright sunny yellow like his honking daffodils.
Jilly loathed walking down to the Greenhouses. She thought the pathway was rather muddy, dirty and was poor for the health of her skin, most especially because she wanted to take care of her skin so as to keep its golden glow; of which she was sure was the reason that many boys liked her and other girls admired her for, to which someone might think was quite delusional of her. Well, it was.
Her face scrunched up in a frown as she took a step and the mud just horrifyingly splattered on her pristine legs! The ruthlessness of life to her!
On a happy note, Jillian had reached the entryway of the greenhouse, and in there she knew she could clean up her legs and feet. She quickly embarked, making it in time, into the house of green and shrubs and plants and dirty soil, rendering the Professor a 'Hi' upon doing so. She frowned, pensively. Where are the things?
Ooh, she knew what those gaudy seeds were. "Puffy pods, professor..."

Harvey saw the professor take out some very pretty seeds and asked what they were. He had never seen seeds like those before. But he thought he would take a guess "Well I have no idea but lets have a guess. mmmm.... the pink one could be some kind of a flower seed, I think there were some seeds near the puffapods but not sure if they were these ones. The purple one could be a toadstool seed and the yellow could be like a daffodil or some other flower seed." he said almost giving up as he did not have much knowledge regarding magical herbology.

Awww last Herbology lesson of the year. But oh well, they were going to sprucing up greenhouse three and making it look all bright and colorful and SHINEH!
Or at least that's what Tori hoped. She stole a glance at the bright seeds Professor Bentley was holding and took a moment to think.
"Are those...different varieties of puffapods, professor?" Tori answered eventually, stretching her hand up in the air. Oooooh she did like puffas!

"I am good also, thank you for asking professor." he was happy to see that the professor was nice enough to ask students how they were.

Mickey quirked an eyebrow at the boy standing next to her. He was obviously Ravenclaw by the color of his robes, when he start listing of possibilities she found herself nodding along turning her attention back to the pods. She was pretty much lost in the class, going back and forth from hogwarts to America has been messing up her learning but she could see what the boy was thinking. She desperately needed help with catching up.
Staring at the seeds she started furiously mussing up her short hair trying to sort out what they could be. It wasn't long before she was muttering to herself. "bright pink and purple tends to be poisoness a long with white. Probably medicinal herbs... Yellow..." most flowers are a beige or green. "I want to say it's a fruit baring plant, but that doesn't seem right." Mickey sighed giving up. 'And to think I thought I was good at this'.
It was the last Herbology Lesson. Yay! Vacation's following. She missed home badly. Feeling rather flattered about the Professor's gratitude on reviving the Greenhouse Three, Erin smiled widely. And now, what were those the Porfessor was showing them? Pink, Purple and Orange seeds. Awesome colors with her most favorite, pink. She was a Pinky girl.
Erin raised her hand to answer Professor Bentley's question. "Errr... Are they puffapods Professor with different colors?" Well, the only thing she knew about was that, it was only in color pink. Or were they dyed?
Ashley took a good look at the seeds, then raised his hand. "Jellybean seeds," he offered, only because a bunch of people already said the one thing he was thinking of, and he wanted to say something. Besides, somewhere deep down, he kind of hoped he was right. Even if they were the wrong shape for that. And there was the fact that jellybeans didn't come on a tree. Usually if he didn't have an answer, he would just keep quiet, but it was a weird day for him.

Beezus immediately averted her attention from watching the other students talking to each other to facing Professor Bentley as she walked to the front and started talking.
It was their last Herbology lesson. That was definitely good to hear and not. Good because that means that the end of the term is fast approaching and that soon she would be a second year Eaglet. But not good to hear since she had come to love having those lessons and she would certainly miss them. Oh well, there's always next year.
Then, her thoughts were brought back to the lesson when she saw that content of the box. Oh, those were really beautiful seeds. Colorful too. And there's also purple. Prreeeettyyy..
Beatrice moved her head to and fro as she listened to the other student's answers. Her guess that it was a Puffapod seed, like many others have said. But she didn't say it aloud for many had already answered, instead she focused on the wonderful colors of the seeds.
Jesifur wasn't sure exactly what those were seeds of. They were very colorful and pretty though. Whatever they were it seemed like it was going to be another fun herbology lesson.
Aurora walked into the greenhouse and looked around. It looked pretty sad with no plants in it... "Hello, Professor Bentley!" she said brightly. Herbology always put a smile on her face. She spotted Kennedy and sidled over. "Hey," she said to him, grinning. "What d'ya think's in the box?" she asked pointing to the box the professor was carrying.
"Hi," he whispered as he smiled at her. He was also curious of what was in the box. Hopefully no man eating plants or poisonous for that matter. He was about to answer her when Professor Bentley began the class....

So they were going to be planting stuff. Kennedy liked this, it was much better than dealing with pixies that pulled on people's hair or tried to take their wand away. He saw the colorful pea pods shaped like shells, and that's what gave away what they were.
He raised his hand and said, "I believe they are Puffapod seeds." Yep, just don't drop them.
India looked up at the seeds, and felt herself smile. This was amazing - she loved these seeds they were Pink, Orange and Purple! She smiled before raising ehr hand and trying not to should.
"Pufffaaaapods - i mean um. Aren't they Pink, Purple, and Orange Puffapods?" Maybe her gleeful squeal would go unnoticed?

Violet stared at the brightly coloured pods--Puffapod seeds? She thought those only came in pink...but she had only seen a pod once, not the seeds within it. Oh, Merlin, what colours they were! Why couldn't they ever work with something a little more restrained at this school?
Aurora's eyes lit up when she caught sight of the seeds. "Oh! Puffapod seeds!" she squeaked. "They're going to be beautiful!" And did they get to plant them..? Because that was awesome!

Alex blinked at the seeds that the professor had set in front of them, completely clueless as to what they could be. He could barely identify the plants when they were full grown, let alone when they were seeds! Uggh. Not cool. He wrinkled his eyebrows and finally had to consult his textbook on the matter. He flipped through the pages and finally came to a diagram of seeds, but it still didn't really help him much. Drawings were hard to compare to real things sometimes.
"Erm, are they puffapod seeds, professor?" he guessed as he raised his hand. "The pink one is, at least...or I think it is," he said uncertainly. Out of all the seeds up there, he was sure the pink one was most likely to be a puffapod. Cause of the color, obviously.

Victoria starred at the colorful seeds in interest and amusement. They sure are beautiful seeds, and Victoria can see beautiful plants springing out of them. But what are they called? Victoria slouched in her seat, trying to think of its name. Something puffs...poffs...
Slowly, Victoria raised her hand, uncertain of her answer. " Puffapods?" Victoria had never seen a PURPLE puffapods before.

Having snuck in right before the lesson started, Evelyn stared at the...well, whatever Professor Bentley was showing them. Especially the pink ones. They were obviously the evil ones. Stella nodded, still with the smile on her face, as professor Bentley had assured her she was doing well, too. It was entirely the power of positive thinking, or maybe just the fact springtime had arrived and everything was just so bright and cheerful. She hadn't said anything else, however, still watching the box as more people had filtered in after her and she was forced to wait to see what they'd be studying in the lesson. She was still hoping for no manic magical beings to interrupt, although she made sure to pull her hair back in a braid before she slipped gloves on to be ready for the lesson. It wasn't abad idea to keep her hair pulled back in Herbology anyhow, even without crazy pixies.
She looked at the pods curiously as they were revealed to be the contents of the box, eyeing them as the lesson began and trying to decipher their origin. Everyone else was answering around her, but she waited a bit before raising her hand. "Did you hybridize some puffapods? They usually only come in pink, don't they?," she asked. The pods definitely looked like puffapod seeds, all excepting the fact they were different colors. If the professor had actually managed to create new types of puffapods, that would have been exciting. Even if Stella only had the slightest interest in herbology, knowing her professor could manage that was interesting. Of course, there was always the possibility all of them were wrong, too. That just wasn't what she wanted to think about right now.
