Slytherin vs Gryffindor
As Josephina made her way down to the Gobstones Arena for one of the last times for the term, she couldn't help but feel... relieved. It was lovely weather outside and she couldn't help but feel grateful for the windows in the court area. Removing the twin Gobstones bags from her tote, she set the one of green ones on one side, red on the other, and then took her spot near the one end as she waited for players and spectators to arrive
"You all know the rules. This match shall determine who the Gobstones Champions of the year 2075-2076!" Hadley spoke quickly, in an effort to get on with the match. "There is a zero tolerance for cheating. Play nice. And let the match begin." With her customary instructions out of the way, she set the Jack Stone carefully in the center of the court and stepped back to supervise. | |

And the players weren't dawdling this time with getting off to a start... Gideon Gert of Gryffindor takes the first roll, his red stone rolling steadily on the court... only to be joined a moment later by a green one, thrown by none other than Slytherin seventh year, Evelyn Flores.
Both stones roll quickly, spinning around each other and then into the center circle, eventually coming to a stop... the green one managing to pull a smidgen closer to the Jack Stone! Slytherin wins the first point of the match!

Evelyn Flores is determined; after all, this could very well be her last time engaging in the game of Gobstones... at Hogwarts it was for sure, but considering how rare professional games were.... Focused, she rolled her green stone well...
Only to be countered this time by another fourth year, only this time it was Miss Hollingberry... her red stone rolled onto the court, steadily toward the center. Meeting the green one, it was close as to which would end closer to the middle.... and the red one! Gryffindor ties up the first round!

But Evelyn isn't going to give up; at least not so early in the match. She rolls, which is countered this time by a VERY talented roll from first year Lioness, Ira Wilson. The girl might be young, but she's got some natural talents. Though her red stone didn't quite make it to the center as Evelyn's green one did, it wasn't bad for a beginner... a few rolls more to hone the girl's skills...
But wait, what?! Another first year, by the name of Lilly Deluise wanted to practice too!! Rolling her stone ahead of schedule and onto the court, a moment later the center Jack Stone ejected a spray of gob at the first year. Penalty to Gryffindor!
Slytherin wins the point... well they would have anyway, but Gryffindors got a penalty

Not letting her guard down, Miss Flores rolls her stone again, giving some of the spectators an all-knowing look as she turned back to watch her stone just as it enters the circular area. At the same moment, a certain fourth year Lion, Mister Gideon Gert, rolls his own stone. Good roll, but not quite enough, as the green rolled closer to the Jack Stone.
