The driver and snack lady sit up front in the driver's cab, but there are plenty of other compartments up here. Prefects have their very own! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Adelyn Grace Bennett-Black Fifth Year | for Slitherclaw (:
Adelyn dragged her trunk behind her, her spotted owl balancing on top, as she wandered through the tiny aisle to find an empty compartment. She hadn't spotted any of her friends on the platform, but it was always difficult to find people there; it was usually packed with families, saying good-byes. Her mum had just dropped her off at the station, leaving Adelyn to get onto the Platform and to the train before eleven. She'd been doing it every year since she was a first year, so it really wasn't anything new.
After a few minutes, she managed to find an empty compartment and pulled her trunk in, sliding the door closed behind her. She placed her owl, Sirius, on the bench and tried to put her trunk on the shelf above her head. However, being about the size of a first year and owning a very heavy trunk, this was just not going to end well.
Adelyn sighed aloud, tucking a curl behind her ear and crossing her arms in front of her chest. She sat down on the trunk, frustrated.
Sirius hooted happily from his cage. "You think this is funny, don't you?" She stuck her tongue out at him, and stared out the window. At least she was finally going home...

And once she was settled she looked like she was sitting in the middle of a cloud with her poodle skirt and petticoat flared out around her on the seat.
Harlow rather liked the effect. "Pleased to meet you. I'm Harlow." she told him with a nod. She pulled a pinwheel lollipop out of her little purse and began to unwrap it. Legalos swiped at it with his pure white paws. She giggled and dodged him. "Are you from England?" she asked asked noting he spoke with a slight accent. So, right, he also had to sit to give her his full attention.
Pulling his luggage up to the seat with him, Marcelo sat across her and did his best not to glance at his watch. Not that she was boring or anything; they had just met to decide anything, but he hadn't imagined his first ever train ride with a maximum thirteen year old girl. And that was if they pushed the limits. "Pleased to meet you too." He was. He believed in the power of the youth, after all. Eyeing that animal for a moment, he looked up at her as she asked another question. "Huh? I... no, I'm from Brazil." Was Harlow even an English name? He had to study those, really. "You? Starting Hogwarts?" Better to ask all fast. Quote:

The Slytherin couldnt help but giggle and smile brightly as she heard him complimenting her in german."Hey there handsome",she winked,"where did you learn that, huh?"Long time?Well that depended on what you saw as a long time but nontheless the girl nodded."Yees, what have you been up to all the time?",she asked raising an eyebrow. Well, who wouldn't miss that smile now? Marcelo grinned even more, as if that was possible. He didn't really want to read much, but that was flirting in his book and considering she had a boyfriend... it only made things even more enjoyable, like he could just slip things like they had seen each other in London alone. "Yeah, London wasn't the same without you." A playful wink there, as he stepped inside to sit across her despite the seat next to her she had pointed at. He wanted to see her face freely to read her expressions, like her giggling face when she said handsome. He also had to find out if she was like this with her other male friends. "I attended a full-German Muggle school in Brazil." And he was just collecting its fruits with her. "Well, I have mainly wandered in Diagon Alley and got bored." No, he hadn't been bored with Louisa at all, but who would know now, as long as the two girls kept away from each other. |

"Okay, thanks," Paulie smiled and proceeded to push his trunk into the compartment. Whoaoa, she had a kitten? Blimey, the thing was so teeny tiny that he didn't even see it there. "Oh, your cat's cute," he commented, fighting the urge to squeeze it real tight or something. Anyway, the owl. "Nah, he'll be fine, so long as he's in his cage." If he were let loose, that'd be another story.
He took a breath, then hoisted his luggage up above the seat. When she mentioned Beauxbatons, he turned around again. "I did! And you know, I was thinking the same thing." Finally, he plopped down on the seat opposite her. "Paulie Foster ring a bell..?" Probably not, 'cause he wasn't on the quidditch team, nor was he particularly brainy or popular. "I'm really rubbish with names, so what's yours again?" He felt embarrassed having to be reminded, but now was the time to find out. Stella could almost tell immediately that the fact she hadn't ignored him had made some sort of impact, or at least he was relieved, and that wasn't just because he had thanked her for letting him join her in the compartment. Talking to people always helped time pass quicker anyhow, but maybe he didn't know that. She smiled as he complimented Lyra, though. "Thank you. Lyra's kind of nervous about the train ride right now. I think it's the movement," she explained, before nodding as he assured her that his owl would be fine. Oddly, that reminded her of other owl conversations, honestly, but she didn't say anything.
She set her book down next to her as he verifed her theory about why he seemed so familiar, however, giving him another smile. "Well than that must mean it's right," she said in amusement as he finally sat down across from her, before lapsing into thought as he offered his name. She couldn't really remember it too well, but then odds were he hadn't hung around with her and Risa, or known Ethan and played Quidditch. That could explain it. "I think I remember it from a class or something, but that's about it," she said, a bit apologetically, before the smile came back at his self-deprecatory way of getting her name. "Stella Gardiner," she offered without pause. There was no reason to feel disappointed if he didn't remember her name, if she hadn't really remembered his. Plus, maybe now she'd find out if he knew anyone else from back there.

Literally.
So there I was, dancing and leaping around on a train with ipod earphones in my ears, drumming on random surfaces and tapping toes. I'm sure it was quite an exquisite experience for any purebloods hanging around watching. I know it sure seemed like I was a ballerina rocker from my point of view.
Since my luggage hadn't actually arrived from the states yet (weird, I know.) all I was carrying was a little knapsack that contained a few essentials (phone, notepad, scripts-to-read, tons of picture, a toothbrush/toothpaste, Lord of the Rings and a few other smaller books. This along with a few pairs of clothes. Ah...the benefits of having a magiked bag.
Eventually I tired myself out. At least that's what I told myself (really, I was just wary of the strange looks). Hm...Well. I looked around...and saw Cinderella! I missed her smile.
With a strange burst of energy, I almost practically cartwheeled into the apartment. Well, I failed. One, I had no idea how to cartwheel. Two, the door was closed. Thump. Ow.
I have a special relationship with doors.
I got up and gingerly opened the door with my recently smashed fingers. To find Cinderella staring resentfully at her luggage. I tried hard to outright grin. "Hey." LAME. "Need help?" Also lame, but better. |

She gave Legalos a few licks before she turned around to stare out the window.
She looked up and caught him glancing at his watch. Her face fell. He didn't really want to sit with her. He was just trying to be nice to a little kid. She hated when older kids did that.
Harlow didn't really think he was pleased to meet her, but she wasn't a rude person. "Nice to meet you." she said in a quiet voice and she licked on her lollipop. He was firing the questions at her just trying to be polite enough so she wouldn't cry and he could feel free to run away. Well she wasn't that big of a baby, she wasn't going to cry, but she didn't want to be friends with someone who didn't want to be her friend. "You don't have to sit with me you know. I only asked to be nice and make a new friend." she finally told him. "You must have other pressing appointments, so please don't let me keep you." She was too much of a lady to rude about the unpleasantness of her current situation.

The blonde just shook her head at the overjoyed grin on Marcelo's face. What was going on in his head?Sometimes Fee really wished she could look into people. That would be sooo much fun.Of course Marcelo wouldnt admiot it but pffssh, who wouldnt miss her?!Hehe.
Awwww London wasnt the same without her? Here he was going all cute mode again ."Of course it isnt the same without me",the Slytherin chuckled ,"the awesomeness and my genius mind were missing"Yep,she could be obnoxious too.Wrinkling her forehead for a second as he took place on the opposite seat and not next to her the blonde raised an eyebrow. "Afraid you'll burn yourself if you come to close, huh?",the girl stuck her tongue aout at her friend.Really,it was definitely soo much fun to just joke around with him.
Waaiiiit ,he attended a full german muggle school? Why hadnt he told her about that before?Tsssssk." Thats pretty cool",the fouth year wiggled her eyebrows, "you should have told me,duuuh."He got bored? How could you get bored in only two weeks at Diagon Alley and with the carnival?Something definitely had to be wrong with him." Didnt you go to the carnvial?",the blonde asked, "didnt you meet new friends?Come on dont kid me."That was almost impossible.

She was just about ready to start having another argument with Sirius about her trunk and her mother and well, everything, when she heard the compartment door slide open and a familiar voice. It took everything in her to keep herself from grinning.
Looking up and seeing him, she forgot everything that had been wrong only seconds before. 'Hi." Could she get anymore lame? "Yeah, I could definitely use some, uh, help." She sighed, kicking the trunk; pretending it didn't hurt as she smashed her toes, forgetting how heavy the trunk was. She smiled sheepishly.

I carefully raised an eyebrow and stuck my hands down my jean pockets. "That looks heavy...didn't that hurt?" Even I know that if you kicked a heavy trunk it would hurt like hell. And believe me, the fact I knew this was a major accomplishment. I guess I learned from experience.
I proceeded to troop over the the trunk. It was definitely heavy (why did girls pack so dang much?) but it looked almost manageable. With a flexing of my not-so-buff skinny arms, I bent down and lugged the trunk up a foot or two. Suddenly I wished I worked out more. "Uhh...." I said in consternation. "Wheerre...do....I put this?" Ug. This WAS really heavy. |

It's no big deal, though; I've gotten used to it." She shrugged, then realized this statement wasn't very clear at all. "I'm kind of accident prone." She smirked, and looked back up at him.
He was trying to help. Okay, this was definitely adorable. She tried hard not to giggle as he clearly tried to pretend that it wasn't as heavy as she knew it was. Really, it wasn't all that full; it was just the books and other magical instruments that weighed it down. "Up there, please. On the shelf?" She pointed, smiling gratefully.

He hadn't slept too well the past few nights, mainly because he was so excited to be heading back to school. He had been a total ball of restlessness. His familiar, a bat called Vlad, was perched on his shoulder, sleeping peacefully like a baby. The Gryffindor wished he could do the same right now. It was tempting but he had to stay awake, in case someone decided to join him. It would be so great to catch up with his friends again, perhaps make a few new ones on the ride.
Levi glanced out the window, watching the scenery roll by contentedly. Just think, he would only have three more times to experience this come next year. Best make the most of the rest of his time at Hogwarts. Levi really wasn't sure what he'd be like when he finally reached his seventh term. Would he be wiser? Maybe a little bit, but not an entirely different person. He knew he'd definitely be taller. He had grown nearly a foot since the year before. His voice was already starting to deepen as well. It had moved past that scratchy mode it was in last year, thankfully. Growing up could be so weird but in a way, it was exciting too.
Levi rummaged through his bag for one of his muggle comics. He figured he needed something to pass the time while he waited for his companions/students he hadn't met before. He flipped the book open to the middle and started to read, getting sucked into the usual world of crime-fighters and over-the-top villains. He knew tales about superheroes could be a bit corny but they were his guilty pleasure. They always had been, even when he was a kid. As Annabelle pulled her cat carrier down the train corridor she glanced in windows looking for a space for the trip. She glances in one and sees a boy reading a comic.
"Hi, can I join you? My name is Annabelle Edwards, first year. I won't be a bother."

Plus, maybe now she'd find out if he knew anyone else from back there. Lyra. Huh. He'd never heard that name for a cat before. Was it a human name, too..? Eh, Paulie was getting sidetracked. "Oh, I see, his eyes lowered to the feline who was looking rather frightened and, somehow, even smaller than before. "The load of kids all around probably doesn't help any either." Maybe. He couldn't know for sure because he never owned a cat. Only Pudge, and that dog was a big galoot.
It was ironic, the chances of him stumbling upon a Beauxbatons - or, former Beauxbatons - student rather than a usual Hogwarts one were pretty slim, but voila. Here he was. Before she even answered, the mixture of expressions passing over her face told him that she didn't really remember anything but the face. "Better than not remembering at all, huh?" He smiled and slipped his fingers into his pocket in search of a pack of gum, but to his disappointment, there was none. Looks like he'd be making a stop at that food trolley.
Stella Gardiner. "Yeah, yeah! I remember," he told her. "Well.. I remember now that you've jogged my memory. You were in my year." After reaching one hand up to his face, he rubbed his fist against one eye. He was no longer drowsy, but the irksome stinging that went along with early rising still bothered him.
"So, how come you transferred?" If she cared to tell, that is.

Sierra boarded the train and headed down the aisles. Being back on this train sort of made her heart sink a little. She hadn't rode it back home after last school year, because she'd been headed to her old house, the one she used to share with her father. He lived in Hogsmeade, and well, thanks to her mother, Sierra had been hesitant to actually ride the train.
...but now she had to. She wasn't living with her father anymore, ...or anyone for that matter. It seemed a strange concept to know Hogwarts was the only real home she had right now. She sighed, wondering if she'd even feel the same this school year. She hadn't even spoken to anyone yet. She actually hadn't even looked up. Only time would tell whether or not her unfortunate summer would make her ease up a little, become even more ill-tempered, or pretty much stay the same.
Truth be told, Sierra was hoping for the last one. She just wanted her normal life back...

Why was I doing this? I had no idea. I shouldda intimidated one of those smaller kids into doing this. Hmph. Actually, I shouldda just magiked it up onto the shelf. But putting the trunk down mid-lift wasn't gonna gain me any Cinderella points.
Right.
This wasn't that heavy, right? I had carried heavier things. With the help of others. Cross that.
As I lifted the trunk she called herself accident prone. I laughed so hard I almost dropped it. Once I tucked away I turned to her. "Accident prone, eh? I just ran into your apartment door." Not to mention accidentally getting rid of my clothing. I wasn't gonna mention that just yet. |

Never one to be down in the deeps for long Harlow let the sticky sweetness of her lollipop sooth her bruised...well she wasn't sure what was bruised, but her feelings were hurt. But her father always told her not everyone was going to be your friend. She wanted to prove him wrong. But it seemed he was moving ahead in the points in that game.
She sighed and got out of her seat to look into the corridors. People were moving about and she wanted to see what was going on.
It took some heaving and pushing but she finally got he door to slide open and with a bump in the train the little girl flipped right out of the compartment and straight into someone. Her lollipop went in one direction and her poodle skirt when right up over her head. "OW!" she cried as she landed hard.

Hogwarts RPG Name: William Atticus MacGhilliseathenaich-Dwinkendorf IV Second Year | James is my REAL name | Pokah Face | Scheming Marauder | True Marauder | Foster the People
William grunted and groaned as he attempted to lift his unbelievably heavy trunk up the train's steps. After heaving and pulling for much longer than it should have taken, the small, frail first-year dragged his trunk into the first empty compartment he saw, which was just a few doors down. Panting and holding a stitch in his side, Will collapsed onto the cushioned train seat, leaving the trunk on the floor; he would wait till someone older and much stronger came by and he would ask them for help. Until then, Will rummaged in his robes for his small inhaler; he was having an asthma attack. After puffing his albuterol for a few seconds, his breathing calmed down as the train lurched forward. He stared out of the window, waving to his parents and wishing his twin brother, Robert, was there with him.
As the train began to pick up speed and leave Kings Cross, Will resided to starting out of the window, his head propped up by one hand. He sighed as the rolling, verdant scenery flew by in blurry shapes and hoped he would make friends at Hogwarts. |

August had been on trains before but he had never been this excited to arrive at their destination. With his turtle in hand and his trunk dragging the floor behind him, the thirteen year old began to look for a compartment to sit in while he waited for their journey to Hogwarts to come to an end.
Finally coming to a stop beside a nearly empty compartment, Auggie opened the door and looked at the slightly older, brunette girl who was in there. "Umm hello there, can I join you in this compartment?" he sure hoped she said yes, his trunk was getting pretty heavy.

Damon headed back to his compartment and opened the door, carefully coming in so he would not wake Isabelle who was sleeping away as usual... He quietly took down his trunk and took out a few bags of his candy and tried to make sure that they were in good order, each bag was the same item so he would have to grab more bags if their was a different flavor of candy that he wanted... He started snacking on one of the bags.

As she is walking down the Front Train, she saw a compartment where someone was alone in there panting so hard clutching something she knew all her life.

That's an inhaler for an asthma! She's had asthma too when she was younger. Now, for some reasons, she'd never had an attack since the letter from Hogwarts came. Weird, she thought.
She entered the compartment and the boy was quite shock with the sudden movement. "Hi there! I notice you're alone. Can I sit here? Just that my friends are sleeping now and I just needed some air."

She tried so hard not to giggle as he struggled to get her trunk on to the shelf. Seriously, he had to be the nicest guy she'd ever met, because no guy she knew would ever do this; except maybe her muggle friend back home, but they'd known each other since they were four.
After her trunk had been stowed away on the shelf above, she sat down on one of the benches, gesturing for him to join her; either across from her or next to her. "Yeah, accident prone. I'm basically a walking disaster." She gave him a small, slightly embarrassed smile. "Did you honestly? I've managed to do that countless times." She giggled.

Stella kind of watched as Paulie was looking closely at Lyra, especially as she could feel the kitten pressing closer to her denim-clad leg the longer the staring went on. But she simply shrugged as he finally spoke. "Usually she doesn't have a problem with people, but then, it might be all the other animals, too," she replied. As far as she could tell, Lyra didn't get scared of Talia's puppy anymore, but the pets of all the other students on the train were unknowns. She just hoped Lyra adapted soon, because it could be hard going to classes if she had to take her along to all of them. Especially Care of Magical Creatures, because she had the feeling bring pets to that was probably not recommended.
But then the discussion had gone back to them both having gone to Beauxbatons, which was a much easier topic to discuss. Not that she didn't mind talking about her pet, but not really knowing why Lyra was being so shy made it a weird topic. "True. But then I kind of made it a point to try and at least know the names of a lot of the people at school, even if I didn't really know them," she responded, giving him another smile. Obviously he hadn't really done the same, although at least it seemed her name had been in his head somewhere. "I'd imagine I still am," she replied with a laugh. "If you're going into fifth year this term." Something told her transferring in an exam year wasn't done often, but she hadn't particularly cared. She'd just wanted to go to Hogwarts, and hadn't gotten the opening til now.
And she grinned again as his question mirrorred those thoughts. "It's kind of a weird reason, really. I always wanted to go to Hogwarts. My sister got to go, but I was stuck going to Beauxbatons," she answered. Plus, there was that whole thing about not really feeling French, even though she knew the language. hard not to when you'd lived there since four years old. "Why'd you transfer?" Quote:

Stroking Lyra yet again, hoping the kitten wouldn't suddenly start clinging to her leg or something, she gave the boy a smile. "I can't say I'd mind. I wouldn't want you to have to drag your trunk further, at least." It had to be heavy. She knew hers was, and it had seemed like Paulie's was too, when he'd put it up above the seats. "It's fine with me, as long as it's fine with everyone else." Okay, everyone else was pretty much Lyra, Paulie and his owl, but she wasn't about to make the decision for everyone.

Even though Kat and Stephen aren't the bestest of friends she will still miss him when this term was over. I laughed. "Really? That's fascinating." This was really too ironic. "So together--" pause, pause. Blush, blush. "Together we're a moving catastrophe." Heh. "Or would we cancel each other out? Hm..." I went into thoughtful mode. Would we cancel each other out? I doubt it. I definitely wouldn't want anyone relying on me to keep their balance. They would probably die at some point. "Maybe..."
"Maybe because we know we're around each other we'll attempt to be more careful because we're both outlandishly clumsy?" I didn't mean to say this out loud, but I did.
I looked thoughtfully into her eyes. Gosh. I missed those chocolate eyes. "Oh yes. I've gotten to know every door in America personally." Which was pretty much true. I was working on England now. |

Harlow was blushing down to her feet as she felt the breeze around her bottom. She righted herself and smoothed her skirt back down in its proper place. She didn't think her knickers had seen so much sunlight.
It was a good thing she was wearing her new Herbology Periodic Table knickers. At least her bum was informative.
She pulled herself up rubbing her throbbing cheek. "Thanks ever so much for you crucial information." she told the girl as she tried to smile and her eyes watered. "I'm sorry for running into you. These doors aren't made for small people to open them alone." she admitted. She checked to make sure there wasn't any dirt on her skirt and frowned when a dusty streak skipped across the hem of her white poodle skirt.
She detested dirt.
