Anyoneeeeee?

Maria walked to the front of the train. She sighed and plopped down in a random empty compartment. Her sister had fallen ill again...just after she got better. Leaving Maria in a very bad mood for the last few days of summer. She pulled out the picture they had taken the week before she had fallen ill again and sighed. "Why, Ad? Why can't you be here?" she whispered softly.

"Or would we cancel each other out? Hm..." I went into thoughtful mode. Would we cancel each other out? I doubt it. I definitely wouldn't want anyone relying on me to keep their balance. They would probably die at some point. "Maybe..."

"Maybe because we know we're around each other we'll attempt to be more careful because we're both outlandishly clumsy?"
I didn't mean to say this out loud, but I did.

I looked thoughtfully into her eyes. Gosh. I missed those chocolate eyes. "Oh yes. I've gotten to know every door in America personally." Which was pretty much true. I was working on England now.

"A moving catastrophe...hm. I guess you could call us that." She laughed, brushing her curls over her shoulder. Her cheeks were a light scarlet, just looking at him.

"I don't think we'd cancel each other out, though." She said, thinking about it. "In all honesty, I'm the last person you want around to catch you if you're going to fall. Because chances are, I'd fall before I managed to catch you." She giggled. It was the truth, though.

Really, it was rather strange why she was so clumsy. She had been taking ballet since age two, and that alone was supposed to make one graceful and poised. But not Adelyn. Dancing, she was poised and precise; it was walking that was difficult.

She caught glimpse of his eyes; wow, she had missed those eyes.

"Well, how are you liking the doors here?" She smirked, teasingly.

A young and at first awestruck looking first year boarded the Hogwarts train; with wide curious blueish grey eyes taking in the bustling setting and a hand clutching an ebony trunk so tightly to the point of the hand turning a ghostly white. Rather short and small, the crowding of the train encompassed the child in every direction like a small fish in the middle of a stormy sea. Occasionally, a bustling older year would turn and give a small nod and grin as they passed by what looked like a rather cute 10 year old boy, with rather oddly long dark hair.

Only Eris wasn't a boy.

Used to being called "young man" or whatever mistaken name in the same reference, from her journey to Diagon Alley, the stout witch tried her best to go on ahead through the waves of tall students and their luggage till she found a compartment that seemed like the niche of safety in the storm.

Then, a ineludible flaw came to play as the young witch stared up almost in pre-known defeat at the rather high shelf where the trunks were meant to be stowed. The small 1 foot and a half height difference seeming to be a mile away from the tips of her fingers.

Unsure if she should just quit while she was ahead at the task, Eris lifted her trunk up like it only contained feathers, which was rather shocking in contrast to her body's small frame. With her neck craned and toes lifted to their max potential, she began to fail at sending it high enough to land safely on the shelf, looking quite pathetic in her vain efforts.

Ba humbug.

After hussling through the corridor for a period, Aiden finally finds an empty compartment. Well, not really empty. There's already a girl in there. And she looks about her age. Aiden doesn't want to force through the corridor again just to find a bloody empty compartment. Maybe she should sit here. If the girl doesn't mind...

The door slides open and Aiden's pale figure stands still by the corridor. "Excuse me," she says as her grey eyes gander around the compartment. "Do you mind if I sit here?"

o_______O
That's an inhaler for an asthma! She's had asthma too when she was younger. Now, for some reasons, she'd never had an attack since the letter from Hogwarts came. Weird, she thought.

She entered the compartment and the boy was quite shock with the sudden movement. "Hi there! I notice you're alone. Can I sit here? Just that my friends are sleeping now and I just needed some air."

William jumped with shock as the compartment door slid open and a young girl, who looked about his age, entered. His inhaler flew from his hands and fell beneath the seats across from his. He bent forward quickly and hastily picked it up and threw it in his pocket.
"Uh, hello," he said, his face getting red with embarrassment. "Sure you can!" he said, smiling. He had yet to make a friend who was magical and his own age. Those older kids he encountered during the carnival in Diagon Alley were just plain weird. Excited, Will rose his hand to shake the girl's. "I'm William. William MacGhilleseathenaic. But everyone just calls me Will." He smiled again and hoped there wasn't any unsettled dust flying around in the air; the last thing he wanted was yet another sneezing fit.

Adam looked out the window at the stream of people, thinking that it was obvious, but perhaps it was just that to most this was a common occurrence. Adam gave Ellie a little smile. "So, can you believe we're on the train already? I feel like that last week just flew."

She set Kent back on her head and hoped he decided to stay there and not wander... in other words, she hoped that the pygmy puff wouldn't fall off her head again.

"Thanks, I'm not sure about the graceful part though," Selena said sheepishly. She had fallen countless times so she wasn't really graceful at all. "Does it sound like the name of someone who's going to rule the universe though?" Sel asked, seriously. Because that was going to be her job in the future with her bestie. Sel had basically decided that already and she was not going to throw her plan into the trash can. She liked her plan. As long as evil Dragon Lady was willing to help, the plan was foolproof. "Archive makes it sound old," Selena sighed before realizing she said it out loud. Whatever, it was always good to voice your opinions, right? "And awesometastic is fantabulously great," Sel said with a giggle, mostly because it sounded weird... but they were making up words so it shouldn't matter.

She glanced at the hand, and was tempted to put Kent in it. Realizing she was supposed to be polite, she smiled and shook it, with Kent still on her head. "You have a pretty name and yes, this is the best compartment ever, it's full of awesomeness, as a matter of fact, it's so awesome that this compartment can't even hold it all," Selena said with a smirk. Oh yeeeaaah, be jealous people.

Ruling the universe without age, awesometastic and fantabulously great vocabulary and accessories and a compartment ready to burst with the pure win of it all. Really, she shouldn't have had to think about the answer to Selena's question but given the seriously-serious expression it was asked with, she had to. Or at least had to pretend to think about it.

Her crow on the other hand was surely thinking of dinner, and it's eyes weren't even on her lolli-pop but rather the creature on Selena's head.

Charner however, didn't notice. Too engaged was she in her thought process of ruling the world with wintastic that the bird shifting from one foot to the other on her shoulder didn't even factor in. That was not until she gave her head a diffinitive nod that put the creature off balance. And even then, distractions abounded.

"I think it is definitely a name made to rule the universe. Your parents must have the gift of foresight." A slow grin moved across her expression as her toes wiggled in her shoes. "How do you plan on doing it? Besides exploding this compartment with awesomness and infecting those crazy people acting like a herd of startled sheep with fantabulous edict...errr...behavior." Because edict was probably 'old' sounding too.

"Of course you have to kiss him!" she exclaimed, pushing the adorable thing closer to the boy's face. "There is nothing wrong with eating bugs. They are full of nutrients. Besides, wizards eat them too. I am sure you have heard of Cockroach Clusters." Also, didn't he ever eat ants as a kid? Granted, her brothers had tricked her into eating some by covering them with chocolate and saying that they were raisins.

Salariel was not going to accept that as reasoning. He had never eaten Cockroach Clusters before, because they sounded horrible. Who wanted to eat bugs?! Maybe some kids who couldn't taste anything past chocolate, but Salariel did not not not want to have crunchy bug parts all over his tongue. He shook his head.

He preferred kissing girls, not bats.

Oh. Muggle movie. Ellie found those dreadfully boring. When she spent the summer before last at her cousins, they tried to make her watch some. But the witch couldn't see the entertainment factor of staring at a box for hours at a time. "Why'd you name him after a spy?" Was Adam going to dub JB his spy and send the pup out to watch people and report back to him?

She looked back up at Adam and sighed. "I'm glad. Can't wait for the feast tonight." Even if it would most likely be semi-uncomfortable for her. "You think? I thought it was rather slow... But my mom was on me the entire time about OWLs. It's nice to get away finally." Not that she didn't love her mom, just...OWLs were too far away for her to be worrying about right now.

"My friend helped me name him, and it's kind of a long story, but we were talking about superheroes, and one thing led to another, and somehow JB just fit." Adam looked at Ellie with an apologetic face, feeling like maybe he had been rambling a bit too much.

"Do they have good food at Hogwarts?" Adam asked. He had gotten somewhat accustomed to European food from his time in Diagon Alley, but the change from American food was definitely still there.

sarahlooo 09-01-2011 03:34 AM

Anyone? :D

Was it Ellie, or were there a whole lot more people on the train than usual?

Not in all her five years of stepping on this train had Ellie seen so many people aboard the Hogwarts Express. And there was so many first years running around, it was insane! But she managed to keep her calm and cool, and lug her things down the corridor. Trying not to step in any little firstie toes, the sixth year finally managed to find an empty compartment.

Finally. She thought to herself, dragging her things inside. She left the door open in case anyone else needed to share a compartment.

A lot of first years, I think, try and figure out the entire castle the first day." Herself included. "They usually end up getting lost." So BAD idea. Food. Beam. "The best." Beam. "The House Elves make it. They're incredible." The food was incomparable. Ellie had wanted a House Elf to make their food at home. Her mom promptly opposed the idea, though. Unfortunately.

Nika covered her mouth quickly as she let out a small yawn. She had woken up extra early this morning and checked her trunk at least five times, just in case, before she even walked to the kitchen for breakfast. She was the first one awake in the house and even if she normally liked to sleep in going to Hogwarts was all she could think about during the holiday so naturally the red head was beyond excited! "I know," Nika smiled sheepishly and let out a small giggle. "I guess I'm just always cold." Well at least she came prepared with a sweater. Looking ridiculous with a sweater and shorts better than shivering the whole train ride. Hehe. "Oh really!?" Wow, isn't that a coincidence. "We should totally wear them on the same day and walk around! We'd be like twins!" She bounced up and down excitedly just thinking about it.

Nika shook her head sadly answering Fee's question. "Nope. My summer's are always real dull." Well it wasn't like that when she was way younger, but lately her dad's been obsessed with work and he didn't really "believe" in vacations anymore. "Well... Erm not exactly." Nika replied again wishing that she could say something exciting happened or describe a boy she met, but really her holiday was just as boring as it was last time. "But one of my friends told me that she saw a bunch of new third years in Diagon Alley! So maybe I'll meet a few cute boys this term." She beamed at Fee just hoping that she'd be able to meet them all. When Fee mentioned Hugo Nika's eyebrow shot up immediately as she tried to remember who he was. OH YEAH! "Hugo as in your boyfriend Hugo? Well maybe you to can try to make plans for during the term?" She suggested hopefully. Nika had no idea how it worked, having a boyfriend. "Can you maybe introduce me to a few guys this term? You seem to know everyone here!"

That seemed reasonable, right? He gave Ellie a little smile of thanks about the dog name. "He seems to like it," Adam said, rubbing the puppy's back.

Adam gave a little nod. "Yeah...people like Superman and Spiderman...they're all superheroes." Of course, Bond wasn't a superhero...he was just an incredibly talented dude. "Well, Bond isn't technically a superhero since he's just a regular guy, but he's very skilled at tracking down bad guys which is very superhero like of him." Perhaps Bond could be considered a superhero that didn't need special powers...yeah...Adam kind of liked that idea.

"Oh, I read they use House Elfs," Adam said with a little nod. "I've never seen one though..." None of the other academies that he went to used House Elves...they all hired chefs...he wasn't sure why exactly but for some reason that seemed to be the thing to do in the states. Although, there was a good chance that they did use house elves and just lied about it. After all some people viewed them as mistreated..

Zhenya looked around, having just said goodbye to her parents, for a free compartment. It wasn't that she was shy, but she didn't want to try and barge in on groups of people. When she found an empty compartment she went in, and sat down.

"Well, this is it. I'm finally going to Hogwarts," she thought to herself.

Giggling, Ellie nodded. "That's all that really matters." It was very true. Even classes were debatable, though. At least, she didn't think they were really necessary. She couldn't wait to drop some after this term, either.

"Spiderman?" She wrinkled her nose. That just sounded....most unpleasant. Spike might like that one. But Ellie did not like the picture of an eight hairy legged man running around saving people. She'd rather fall victim to whatever he had intended to save her from if she was put in that position. "Oh. That's cool." Better than having six too many limbs.

Nod. "There's a whole bunch of them in the kitchens." She could probably show him some time. "They're...odd. Some people think they're cute." She shrugged. "They're not entirely ugly, though." There were far worse creatures in the Wizarding World. The important thing was that they were excellent cooks.

So, the back of the train hadn't exactly worked out, so here Dallin was lugging his things back up to the front of the train. Once again his arms felt like they were going to fall off from the weight of his trunk, owl cage, and guitar. But look! There! An open door! Dal bee-lined for it, hoping its occupants wouldn't mind some company.

He peeked his head in, blinking when he saw who was in the compartment. Then he grinned, shoving and pulling his stuff through the door. "Avoiding me?" he asked with a smirk as he lifted his guitar to the overhead rack. He wasn't going to try with the trunk; the thing was too heavy. Finally, he turned to Ellie. "Mind if I sit with you?" Because, of course, she had the option to tell him to get out of here and leave her alone. Although that would be sad, and quite shocking.

Looking out the window he asked "Has Hogwarts student's always travelled from Kings cross by train to Hogwarts?" Now that you could use port keys, apparition and so on it seemed slightly old fashioned, but a nice tradition none the less.

Straigtening his robes out Eddie listened to Tarzan's mewoing for a bit. "So houses? Why so many as four?"He asked curiously. Going to a school where they all lived in dorms after years and ages it was a little confusing why Hogwarts felt the need to sort student's into houses. But maybe there were a logical reason.

"No not at all, the Express has only been around since Ottaline Gambol was Minister of Magic for Britain. Before that it was portkeys, brooms, apparition, you name it, and not easy to keep the statute intact, or be sure that the entire student body actually made it to Hogwarts. The Express means that Muggleborn children aren't at a disadvantage when it comes to finding their way to Hogwarts. So the Express has only been around for a bit under 150 years." Thea answered pleasantly enough and eyed the kitty. Maybe it was hungry?

"There were four founders." More answers. "The houses each represent a founder and the qualities which each found most admirable." Ravenclaw was best of course, though Althea herself had been one, it had been a close call and the hat had been torn between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, holding the sorting up for six whole minutes. Thea hadn't had an opinion either way, hadn't cooperated over much, and had simply sat there with the hat on her head, waiting for it to make up its mind.

The kneazle kitten was still staring at her. She made a mental note to change into some comfortable, cat proof clothing at some point and oblige it with playing.

"Aren't you two too old to be on this train?" He immediatelly gasped and held a hand against his mouth. "Sorry!" he mumbled through his hand and his cheeks flared up. "It's just" he lowered his hand now. "I've never seen an adult in this train..."

way the go , Daichi! You just made a fool out of yourself~

Hearing a knock, Thea turned her head and blinked precisely once at the grimacing child standing there.

....

Too old?

Her expression flickered in response to that, the gasp, the mumbled apology and the blush and quite coolly she spoke.

"Except of course the conductor and the lady at the food trolley." She answered, clearly not impressed.

... but her expression did soften after a while.

"Are you alright?" The expression on the little boy's face, he almost looked in pain. She could almost forgive the rudeness if it were true.

"Well, this is it. I'm finally going to Hogwarts," she thought to herself.

Elsie looked inside all the crowded conpartments and decided against trying to Fit it one. Walking though the train she found one that only had one student in it. She waks in and confidently says

"Hi I'm Elsie, alright if I sit in here with you? Its getting pretty crowded everywhere else!"

Zhenya was startled as another girl entered the carriage.

"Hi! I'm Zhenya," she said. "Of course you can sit in here," thinking to herself that she was happy not to be alone.

"So what's your heritage?" Zhenya asked
