SPOILER!!: Hugo Eino and Ino both listened attentively to Hugo but for different reasons. Eino was genuinely interested in how his friend had spent his summer, and Ino was interested in knowing when the staring boy would leave. She quickly poked her head out, then back in. Nope, she wasn't leaving until he left. Eino, on the other hand, had listened to everything Hugo said. "France does sound like a delightful place to spend the summer." He finally said, slightly disappointed that Hugo hadn't done much, thus having nothing more to report. However, he could agree that being back in school and London was much better than summer anywhere. "I did have quite an eventful summer, I should say." He began as he now closed his book and placed it on his lap. "I left to Finland the day after the last day of school, I do recall, and only returned seven moons past the last." He recounted with the intention to report every single day he had spent away from England, but that would take an awful long time, so he would skip to the most exciting parts. "Let' see, I did win first place in a fencing tournament in Finland, and second places in Germany and Sweden." Yes, that had been very exciting. He hadn't participated in any fencing tournaments last summer since he had lost one arm, but all was well now. "Oh, and I did see a Swedish Short-Snout dragon while I was in Sweden! Sadly, it was dead... It had been terrorizing a wizard town, and the wizards were forced to kill it because it would not be driven away. They later found that it was a female and she wouldn't leave because she had nested nearby. They did capture her eggs, two of them, and I believed they planned on sneaking them onto a different dragon's nest." Eino had finally realized one of his dreams, but he would have preferred if the dragon was a live. Still, it was fascinating to see a dragon in person, even if it wasn't up close. "Besides that, I worked in my grandparents shop and I also found out that my father isn't my real father and that my name is Philip. Curious things." He said at last as he shrugged. He realized he had been talking for an awful long time. SPOILER!!: Trinity Then he noticed a different student enter the compartment. It was a girl, and she looked like a first year. He could tell because everyone else usually had House crests on their trunks and other objects, but she had none. "Hello, there!" Eino called her attention and waved. He had noticed her speak to her animal carrier, and hoped that it would be occupied by some sort of animals. He probably should have gotten one for his cat, but she hadn't proved to be mischievous so he didn't worry too much. |

"Adam! Hi." Sure, it hadn't been THAT long since she'd seen him, but they were bestfriends so of course Ellie was excited to see him. The dog, however, went unnoticed. |

Uhhh, non-check. Paulie really should not have been this late to the train, but how could he help the fact that Archimedes was in an uncooperative mood this morning? As he hurriedly boarded the trian, he gave the owl one of those narrow-eyed looks, but when he found that Archimedes was already staring back at him with big, intense owl eyes, Paulie quickly diverted his attention to the aisle in front of him. He passed by compartment after compartment. Occupied, occupied, occupied. The next one that's somewhat open, he told himself, he was going to sit in. And, lo and behold, the very next compartment had but one student in it. He slid the door open and knocked on the frame to get the girl's attention away from her book for a second. "Hi, uhh.. do you mind if I sit here?" Huh.. she looked a lot like this girl who went to Beauxbatons with him. Then again, maybe he was just bleary-eyed from a lack of sleep last night. Shifting his weight a little, Paulie stood waiting for her approval. |

A big smiled practically took over her face as she saw who the person walking in was. "FEEE!" She let out a small squeal and smiled to herself seeing her friend take a seat in the compartment. "I like your dress!" She let out a small giggle and looked at her own excuse for an outfit. "I wasn't wearing this sweater before I got here... It's just really cold." Well for Nika it was cold. Then again, she's always cold. "Oh, pretty much same old same old." Nika smiled as she pulled back a peice of hair, with her oversized sleeves, that was getting into her eyes. "I missed you too." It had been a whole summer! And even though she did see a few familiar faces in Diagon Alley she hasn't talked to most of her friends since the last school term. "How are you doing?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. The two had some catching up to do. |

But then she heard a knock on the compartment door, and she glanced up for a moment. Oh, doorframe, she mentally corrected herself, as she saw that the door was in fact not closed anymore, then a bit of a quizzical look crossed her expression at the boy standing there. "No, of course I don't mind," she responded, still thinking about how he seemed familiar. "Will your owl have any problems with my kitten?," she went on to ask, closing the book as she decided it was more polite to not be reading if there was someone talking to her, but leaving a finger marking her spot anyway. Besides, that weird familiar thing was way too distracting, and finally she couldn't hold back her curiosity. "Did you go to Beauxbatons?," she asked, "I'm sorry if that sounds weird, but you just look like someone I remember from there." |
I hope you don't mind if Jasper joins. :) Quote:
This was it. Today was the day he's been waiting for since his fourth year. It's time for Hogwarts. His first and last year. The Seventh year walk all the way to the front of the train to look for Fee but he couldn't find her so someone else would have to do because he just didn't know that many people...yet. So he found a girl. She was rather short but he thought he was short but he guessed wrong because he was taller but not six feet...yet. |

She picked up her bag and walked in completely, before shutting the door to keep out the havoc in the corridor. Toni took a seat and put her bag next to her. She looked at the older girl and then to the owl. "She's cute." Toni said in her usual small voice... but she really loved owls, she beg daddy to get her, her own owl... instead of the family owl. But for now she simply smiled at the owl. It really was adorable. Manners? She let her stay, wasn't manners? But then the girl extended her hand... oh... that silly thing. She had never understood the whole, 'shake my hand' thing. What was the point... just squeezing someones hand, who you barely knew was awkward. "Toni" she said, and took the girls hand for a moment before letting go. She then took out her wand, rolling it between her fingers, as was habit when she was nervous. She looked out the window, hoping to see a first glimpse of this Warty Hog, and prepare herself for the Dementors. She really hated those things, and their terrible chill. |

Once her eyes focused she saw a new girl that she had never seen before asking if she could join Selina in the compartment. Nodding her head slightly she replied, "Sure, come on in." She gestured to the seat opposite of herself and said, "Sorry, I've never seen you before. I'm Selina Skylar." |

"Hi!" She exclaimed, relieved that she had found one friend. Smiling now, she gestured towards a compartment. "Want to sit? You haven't seen Brady, have you? I've been searching for you two forever!" |

"Hey Ellie!" Adam said, his voice happy but not coming out quite as enthusiastic as hers. It wasn't meant in an offensive way, Adam just didn't get all that excited about stuff. "Excited to be heading back?" |

So this was it. The Hogwarts express. For some reason, Daniel was leading the way, even though his cousin was a sixth-year. Lucas had told him to pick out a compartment, preferably one with people in it. Interaction was nice. He spotted an open compartment door. Perfect. He poked his head inside to see if there was any room. |
Anyone? With his bag dragged behind him, Marcelo wanted to scan every part of the train before settling down somewhere. So he had been travelling since the back, thinking there would be a little peaceful since it was the... back. But he had admitted the first minute that that place was even more noisy than the machine of the train itself, so he was now looking for a seat at the front. Where to sit, really? There were too many options. |

"Okay, thanks," Paulie smiled and proceeded to push his trunk into the compartment. Whoaoa, she had a kitten? Blimey, the thing was so teeny tiny that he didn't even see it there. "Oh, your cat's cute," he commented, fighting the urge to squeeze it real tight or something. Anyway, the owl. "Nah, he'll be fine, so long as he's in his cage." If he were let loose, that'd be another story. He took a breath, then hoisted his luggage up above the seat. When she mentioned Beauxbatons, he turned around again. "I did! And you know, I was thinking the same thing." Finally, he plopped down on the seat opposite her. "Paulie Foster ring a bell..?" Probably not, 'cause he wasn't on the quidditch team, nor was he particularly brainy or popular. "I'm really rubbish with names, so what's yours again?" He felt embarrassed having to be reminded, but now was the time to find out. |

It was when she walked further into the compartment that she saw the dog. Itwassocute! "You have a puppy?" she asked. The Ravenclaw went over and sat on the other side of the canine, reaching her hand out to pet it. |
Mine! :) Quote:
She found a refuge in a empty compartment, but she didn't want to sit alone. There was a tall boy coming up behind her looking for somewhere to sit as well. Clutching Legalos she turned to him, "Would you like to sit with me?" she asked with her dimples twinkling merrily. |
Gwen entered the train with a cross between an excited and an apprehensive look on her face. Her brothers had told her how great Hogwarts was and quite frankly the girl couldn't wait to advance her magic but she knew no one. Absolutely no one. And she didn't want to end up sitting alone, or being friendless, especially as she was new like a lot of the first years. Even for a thirteen year old it was scary, leaving her home in Ireland, going to somewhere completely new. Though the escape from her younger brothers was definitely most welcome. Peace and quiet, that was what the third year deserved. As she walked on through the corridors, she tried as hard as she could to find an empty compartment, one where she could sit alone and read the book that Jude had leant her for the journey. Finding somewhere that looked fairly empty and wasn't surrounded by a load of excited first years, Gwenyth slid open the door and entered, seating herself on the seat furthest away from the door, pressing her cheek against the cool window and reaching for the book she had in her bag. She straightened the top that her mother had so lovingly packed into her bag without ironing, she had always said that the creased look was quite effective and fiddled with the fishtail plaits that her hair was scruffily placed in, trying to read the book but failing with the amount of distractions on the train. She was used to a lot of people, life in a hippy commune wasn't exactly the quietest of places and with the amount of kids and various adults running around the household, Gwen rarely found any time to be by herself but Hogwarts would be a change. She could be in the 'Common Rooms' her brothers had talked about, or up in her dorm, and during these quiet times she could read or study or do anything that she wasn't able to find the time to do back home. She moved back to her back, trying as hard as she could to visualise the words and pictures in her head whilst the various calls and noises of the other students echoed across the train. Right? So this was what she would have to get used to for the next few years? |

Adam looked down at JB who had slightly uncurled from his little ball like position, his nose reaching up towards Ellie's hand. "Yeah, I just got him at Diagon Alley...his name is JB." Adam gave the puppy's back a little rub. So far he had managed to hide the dog from his parents, and he felt like that had a lot to do with JB being...gifted...so to speak. |

"Yeah, okay, thanks," he said, trying to smile at her as he dragged his bag into her compartment. "I'm Marcelo." Better to be as fast as possible and exhaust all kinds of possible topics to excuse himself, right? Quote:
Bowing slightly, he said "Hello there, schöne." That was the right form, right? Right. MUST be, he couldn't have forgotten German that fast. "Long time no see." Even though they had met in the Muggle London not very far ago, he missed her smile. Heh. |

Harlow rather liked the effect. "Pleased to meet you. I'm Harlow." she told him with a nod. She pulled a pinwheel lollipop out of her little purse and began to unwrap it. Legalos swiped at it with his pure white paws. She giggled and dodged him. "Are you from England?" she asked asked noting he spoke with a slight accent. |

Ellie held her palm up for the puppy to sniff before reaching behind his head and scratching the back of his ears. "Hi, JB," she crooned. "Does it stand for anything?" she asked, looking back up at Adam. |

The Slytherin couldnt help but giggle and smile brightly as she heard him complimenting her in german."Hey there handsome",she winked,"where did you learn that, huh?"Long time?Well that depended on what you saw as a long time but nontheless the girl nodded."Yees, what have you been up to all the time?",she asked raising an eyebrow. |
The compartments were filling up quickly, as they always did. Levi sidled into the first empty one he found. He took a seat and emitted a wide yawn. He hadn't slept too well the past few nights, mainly because he was so excited to be heading back to school. He had been a total ball of restlessness. His familiar, a bat called Vlad, was perched on his shoulder, sleeping peacefully like a baby. The Gryffindor wished he could do the same right now. It was tempting but he had to stay awake, in case someone decided to join him. It would be so great to catch up with his friends again, perhaps make a few new ones on the ride. Levi glanced out the window, watching the scenery roll by contentedly. Just think, he would only have three more times to experience this come next year. Best make the most of the rest of his time at Hogwarts. Levi really wasn't sure what he'd be like when he finally reached his seventh term. Would he be wiser? Maybe a little bit, but not an entirely different person. He knew he'd definitely be taller. He had grown nearly a foot since the year before. His voice was already starting to deepen as well. It had moved past that scratchy mode it was in last year, thankfully. Growing up could be so weird but in a way, it was exciting too. Levi rummaged through his bag for one of his muggle comics. He figured he needed something to pass the time while he waited for his companions/students he hadn't met before. He flipped the book open to the middle and started to read, getting sucked into the usual world of crime-fighters and over-the-top villains. He knew tales about superheroes could be a bit corny but they were his guilty pleasure. They always had been, even when he was a kid. |
