All the color in Kurumi's face vanished when she saw Evelyn pick up her badge.

Oh Merlin...someone save her now. Forget Professor Lafay turning her into a newt. The seventh year Slytherin was going to turn her into a dung beetle and then squish her under her shoe.

Kurumi swallowed and looked up at the older girl and smiled even more awkwardly than she had the first time.

"C-C-C-Could I have my badge b-b-b-back....p-p-please?"

Aurora grinned. "Yep, I'm really hungry. Couldn't eat a thing at breakfast I was so nervous." Looking at the space next to Erin, she nodded, "Of course, I'd love to!"

She sat down next to Erin, "I'm new at being magical. Up until a few weeks ago, I didn't even know that I was a witch! it was a complete shock." she grinned at Erin.

"Same here, girl! I didn't even remember when did I used magic to be admitted at Hogwarts," she said as she chew some of her gums. They were now both leaning at the wall adjacent to the floor. "So, are you a Muggle just like I am?"

"Um... Is there room for me and my owl, Addison, to sit next to you guys? I'm Raven Sloan by the way... What country are you from? I'm from America, I was so surprised when I got my letter of acceptance. Do they have anything besides snacks to eat? Since we came here from America, we couldn't pack food because we don't have a kitchen here. I'm so hungry. Do you know what happens when we first get to Hogwarts?"

Even through the awkward smile, the stuttering, and the...the everything, it was quite clear that this belonged to Kurumi. THE Cookie Girl. THE Gryffindork! THE Sutters of all Stutters (besides Mr. Stutters).

Kurumi was a Prefect.

Slowly standing up, her expression turned a bit more back to normal, what with being blank and everything, as she...dare she do it...handed the badge back to the young lion. Mmph. That was hard. It was hard seeing Kurumi with that BADGE.

Erm...goodies. Sweets. Candy. She was here for those. Probably best that she went back to choosing the licorice wands and whatever else as quickly as possible. Mmmph. Pfft. Pfffffffft.

"Congrats." What? She didn't just mutter that either. NO! She didn't.

Aurora chewed on some chocolate frog. "Yep, I think so. It really was a surprise to find out that I was magical. It is cool isn't it? I wonder what dorm we'll be in. I suppose that they will use a magical way to decide don't you?"

Looks up to see another girl standing next to them. "Hey, of course you can sit next us." Smiles a big smile, "I'm Aurora and she's Erin. We're also muggles. I supposed that is what they call people with no magic in them.

She noticed another one coming to their direction. It's really becoming quite fun to stay in a place like these instead of the compartment.
"Yeah of course. But don't you want to find a compartment first for your owl? You love it don't you?" she beamed. "I left my cat at my compartment. There's the trolley there, you can buy some food if you're hungry."


"They said, it's the sorting hat that will put us into our respectable houses. I hope to be sorted where I truly belong."

Aurora nodded at Erin's reply to Raven, "Yeah, why don't you find a compartment for your owl. We'll still be here. In fact, my compartment isn't far from here- about two-three compartments that way." She pointed to the left. "You can't miss it--my own owl is there-- she has hazel feathers."

Turns back to Erin, "Really? A sorting hat? that sounds interesting. Yeah, I hope that I end up in a house that I like. Do you know what qualities they look for?"

Hands shaking slightly, she just didn't know if the girl would try to hex her or not, she took her badge back and thought about putting it back in her pocket. Instead, she simply held it in the palm of her hand.

"T-T-Thanks," she whispered back. She finally brought her head up to make eye contact with Evelyn.

She didn't look all that pleased....

She felt glad for Aurora's agreement at her suggestion then aswered her question.
"Just the basics. They said Gryffindor's for the bravest, the wisest at Ravenclaw, the loyal is at Hufflepuff and the cunning and ambitious will be sorted at Slytherin"

Aurora thought for a second and said, "I wonder which I am. I don't really know. But it is likely that the sorting hat would know right?"

She's really nervous about this. Quite a big deal for her."Well, it would. Definitely. And I hope we get sorted on the same house. You seem so sweet and nice. I remember my little sister in you."

Evelyn was quite aware of her own badge in her pocket, though refrained from saying anything about it. Instead, she took the licorice wands, some of the fizzing whizzbees, peppermint toads and...that was it.

Paying for her items, she heard the quiet thanks, and finally looked back to the young lion as she stuck the licorice wands in her pocket so she was able to carry everything else. If the seating arrangements were like how she heard them to be, Cookie Girl would be finding out other news soon enough.

"See you later then." she muttered, glancing to the others and started to make her way back to the corridor to hopefully...find Josh.

Aurora nodded, "Yeah, I really do hope that we end up in the same house." She blushed at hearing Erin's compliment, "Thanks. Oh so you're a big sister as well? I've got a little sister too. She's only 5 though. It's just the two of us. Do you have more brothers and sisters?"

There's really something in her that would let you engaged into her deeper. "Well, she's 3 years younger than me. 8 years old she is. I've always been like a mother to her. My Mum died when she was born."

Aurora was taken back. She had never known anyone without a mum before. She leaned towards Erin and said quietly, "I'm sorry. My mum's alive and I couldn't imagine not having her in my life." She gave Erin a little hug. "Did your sister also bug you about wanting to come to Hogwarts as well? Mine threw a tantrum when she realized that she couldn't come."

Aurora grabbed some Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans and handed some to Erin, "Here. Let's try these."

If she said it before, when she was still weak, sh'll probably cry. However, she's stronger now. She then gave emphasis on Aurora's question about her sister. "Oh yeah! She bugged me to death! Actually, I was with her when I received my letter from Hogwarts. She's looking for hers too! Well, I missed her. A lot!"
When Aurora handed her Bertie Bott's she said, "Oh no! No! I've had one and it tasted like rat. I'd prefer Chocolate Frogs" which she's now chewing at the moment.

Happy to be out of the crowded compartment, Jayden walked up to the trolley, ready to purchase some chocolate frogs and pumpkin pasties.

It had taken her a while but the tears, pouting and tantrums were finally over with and Mia now found herself quite hungry. Who would have though going all angsty...for about five minutes...could work up such an appetite?

Even if she wasn't hungry, she still would have headed to the food trolley. She had done so since her first train ride and she wanted to continue with the tradition. Hmm, after this year she wouldn't be able to do this anymore.

Perhaps Nik and Marie were right. She would regret not finishing her final year of school. Eh, she hated when others were right.

And of course there was a line up at the food trolley. Mia stepped up behind the rest of the kids waiting and put her hand in her pocket for some money. "Cauldron cakes, definitely got to get one of those. Maybe two. And yes a pumkin pastie." she murmured to herself. Not only were they delicious but they reminded her of Nik.

Aurora nodded, "Yeah, little sisters can be annoying like that but I'll miss mine terribly. We're really close." At hearing Erin saying that she had a rat flavored bean, Aurora immediately dropped the beans to the seat, "Gross. They really do mean every flavor don't they?" She too picked up a chocolate frog and found a card that had a moving picture of a sophisticated-looking old woman with red hair wearing glasses and holding a quill and a small basketball-sized ball. Over the picture read, Ginny Weasley-Potter

She held up the card to show it to Erin, "Hey look at this! The picture moves!"

Poor Gemelli. He didn't like it in Salariel's pocket, but it was daylight and he was so sensitive to that... he was a sleepy, grumpy little bat. So Salariel had hidden the poor little creature inside his teeshirt, hoping the dark colour filtered out a fair bit of the light that was keeping him awake. The creature clung to the cloth, his fuzzy back and soft wings pressed against Salariel's chest and shoulder.

He probably would have had a more comfortable time of it had Salariel not gotten hungry and gone looking for the food trolley. From what Miss Red Badge had said, he had plenty of time until they started getting near the castle. He cared not for the scenery along the way; that stupid castle and its lake and Forbidden Forest were all that mattered, so he could sneak off for a little snack, right?

Gemelli squirmed a little, and Sal patted the lump on his chest automatically as he stepped up behind the few students waiting for service. He was hungry but no so distracted by food that he didn't realise that he was standing next to...

Heyyyyy.

A grin tipped his lips as he looked at the girl he'd stopped next to; she looked a little older than him, and she was hot hot hot. No badge that he could see, but hey. The older women didn't need power to attract his attention.

"What's good?" he asked, trying to sound casual. As casual as a 13 year old boy standing next to a hottie hot hottie could be.

"Who's that?" then she looked a looked a little closer, "The wife of the famous Harry Potter! Cool!"

"She is? wow that is cool! I read about him in one of the books I got at Diagon Alley. Here it is"

Aurora pulled the book out of her bag which she carried around with her at all times. She and Erin huddled together looking through it-amazed at all the information and especially at the moving pictures.

Licorice wand?

Eh no. They tended to make your mouth go all black and usually that wouldn't bother her, but she didn't want to get to the feast and freak out the new students. They might mistake her for a goth or something. Not that there was anything wrong with that.

And she was totally getting off track. Again. Maybe a sugar quill instead. They were tasty and didn't leave any residue behind. Before she could decide if she wanted anything else a voice from behind her spoke and Mia turned around to see who it was that was talking to her.

She had never seen him before. Perhaps he was new. Or maybe she had just never seen him around Hogwarts. That wouldn't be hard, she often walked around with her head in the clouds. "Cauldron cakes are my favourite, along with pumpkin pastie's." Mia gave the younger guy a warm smile and held out her hand.

"Mia Gibbins."

Trying not to look obvious, Salariel examined the girl's face when she turned to talk to him. Good, good, it matched the rest of her hottieness. Giving her what he hoped was a winning smile, the thirteen year old examined the contents of the sales display, immediately spotting the two items she'd picked out as her favourites. It had been a while since he'd had pumpkin pasties; absently, he licked his lips as his gaze landed on the chocolate frogs.

He wondered if Gemelli would immediately notice the difference between a real frog and a chocolate frog. Did Gemelli even eat frogs? He'd only ever seen him eat bugs.

Hmm.

Taking her hand with the one not cupped around the bump of a bat in his shirt, Salariel shook it gently. Didn't wanna hurt a lady or anything, especially not a hottie lady.

"Salariel Caine. 's a pleasure, Mia."

Boy, was it ever a pleasure.

Maybe he'd offer to buy her sweets.
