Willaim thinks of something else to do to the broom. It rwauires a little bit of a change. " William gets the paintbrushes again. Hr moves to the middle of the broom, He then paints the Gryffindor crest in the middle of the broom. Of course, it was red and yellow.

Kurumi continued to fuss with her broom's tail twigs a bit more, pulling out a few damaged ones and doing some more trimming here and there until trimming had become overkill and she returned the clippers to where she had taken them. Next up was polishing the handle and foot holding...things.

Sitting down again, Kurumi set her broom on her lap and reached for the polish and towel before applying an ample supply of it to the cloth and taking it to the broom's handle. Slowly and methodically, Kurumi rubbed the cloth up and down the handle, making sure that the polish was applied evenly. Her broom had a few small cracks and splinters in its wood, but they seemed to vanish as soon as the polish touched them. That was good, at least it seemed like this wand would somewhat return back to its original state.

Once she could see her reflection in the handle, Kurumi set to polishing the foot holder-things and once those were all clean, she returned her supplies before heading over to the boxes and taking a peek inside. There was so much to choose from, but Kurumi couldn't help but feel a bit surprised that Professor Vindictus was allowing them to do arts and crafts on his pitch. What if someone accidentally spilled paint?

Deciding first to just grab some paints in her house's colors, Kurumi picked a lovely crimson and a gold color and returned to her broom. Opening up the container to the gold paint, Kurumi dipped her brush in it and began to paint the entire handle with the color.

William thinks hard about what to do to his broom now. He has got it. He ties red and yellow streamers to the back of hs broom. He got the streamers from the decoration box. He still had string and tiend the streamers to the back with the string.

Isobel was exhausted from painting, but pleased at the work she had done. She was a horrible artist, but she had managed to stripe her broom and paint Hufflepuff on it. She grinned at her broom and carefully set it on the grass. Luckily the paint was dry, so it did not smear.

Isobel kept the paint in case she decided she wanted it later. She walked over to the bin and rooted through it. She found some ribbon and a tub of magiglue. She took both of them back to her spot and sat cross-legged in the grass. The ribbon, of course, was colored in yellow and black. Isobel took a long piece of yellow ribbon and placed a little bit of magiglue on the end. Isobel placed the end of the ribbon very carefully right where the body of the broom intersected into the tail. Then she took a black ribbon and proceeded to do the same thing.

Willaim thinks about what to do next. He takes a rag to clean the broom . William decides to use a second coat of paint to his broom. Wow, it is going to look real shiny. " Willaim waits for the paint to dary again.

Kennedy frowned when a twig he was trying to smooth down popped up and pocked his finger. That twig was going DOWN! He positioned the clipper at the end of the bend of the twig and clipped it off.

HA!

He set the clipper down and examined that the broom didn't have any twigs sticking out. There were none. Next, he reached for the bottle of polish and poured some on a towel. This broom was going to look all spiffy after this, m'hm.

Kennedy ran the towel on the broomstick several times until the sun reflected of it. Then he went to repeat the process on the footing bars. When he was done, Kennedy made sure that there was no smudge left on the wood.

While the black paint was still tacky Justin pulled a small sack from his schoolbag. In it was gold glitter that he sprinkled on the the still slightly wet tail of his broom. Wile that was drying he went and found a clear coat paint. When he returned to his broom the glittered black paint was dry. So, he covered it with the clear topcoat to protect his master piece. As it dried he inspected his work and was happy with it's progress, But still it lacked something.

Once the background paint was dry, Alyssa picked up another thin brush and painted in the words,"Hufflepuff" in nice cursive letters on all sides of the broom with yellow paint. She made sure one side was dry, before she rolled it over and painted the words on the either side. It was a long process and she was worried that Professor Vindictus would ask them to stop before she was finished. But she was going to the possibility of lack of time force her to do a shoddy job or worse yet make a mistake. She was almost done with the wordings. Once the words were dry, she would move onto the next task which would be to decorate the top portion of the broomstick handle below the house badge and above the middle black line.

Ira first cleaned her broom thoroughly using a wash cloth. The broom looked clean enough. Still taking the wipe cloth she had grabbed, she rubbed it once more. Then she polished it. She took the cloth and the polish and set the broom down and sat down herself. Gently she rubbed the polish all way to the bottom of the broom. Now the broom looked ready to be decorated.

No! Still the tail twigs were showing. Ira had forgotten about them. She wondered to whether just join them or cut them up. She looked around at others. Most of them were cutting them with clippers. Ira decided to do the same. She went to the supplies cabinet and took clippers. She then proceeded to carefully trim the twigs and shaped them the way they should be. Then she just polished that tip of the broom again. Now the broom looked nice.

Ira returned the polish to the supplies box. Then wondering how to decorate her broom, Ira first took her house colors- Red and Golden and went back to her place.

Willaim decides toi tighten the string in the mane of the lion in froint. Then he tightens the string on the red and yelllow streamers.

Selina sighed. So much for a flying final. There was going to be no flying, no gigantic spiders or balloons or anything obscene. She lived for this final every year and now they were completely grounded. This was not fun. Then again... she did like to paint and create. It was not a terrible idea to be honest. Okay she was on board with this final now.

So she walked across the pitch and looked at all of the brooms that were strewn about. Her eyes scanned each broom until she found one she felt comfortable with. Alright... awesome... this would work.

William has a great idea. Unfotunately he can't fly this broom. This is reaaly can finish showing his house pride. He decides to use a banner, ties it to the broom with string tightly. A banner unfurls from the bottom of his broom. " Of course, every other letter is read and yellow. The banner says " Griffindor Rules!!! " Finished, whew.

Ira first decided to paint the whole broom golden. The color was shiny and bright. It would look good as a base. The she could paint the designs on it with red. That would really highlight the red color.

She first took a large brush and dipped it in the golden color. She painted the whole broom evenly and let it dry. It was looking so beautiful.

While waiting for the paint to dry, she thought of ways to decorate. Ribbons and streamers would look good. She went over to the supplies box and looked. Sure enough, there were ribbons and streamers too! Professor Vindictus had surely kept all options open. Ira took red ribbons and streamers and thought about it. She then also took what looked like tufts of hair of golden and red colors. She decided to attach then to the end of the broom handle. It would give a nice soft touch to it.

William handed his broom to Professor Vindictus. Creating a broom had been a challenge for him, but he was glad he had finished doing this.

Now that the paint was dry, Ira took one of the smaller brushes and dipped them into red paint. But then she thought that it would be better if she would first lightly trace the design she wanted on the broom on which she could then fill color. So using a twig, very lightly, she traced the word 'Gryffindor' in a circular manner at the top. Now she took the small brush having red paint and carefully, very carefully, painted the word on it.

She then thought of drawing the crest. But the broom handle was so narrow, that there wasn't enough space. Besides it would be difficult to do so especially on the curved surface. So she dismissed the idea. So how else to show house pride?

Ira thought about having some Gryffindor-like quote or saying on it. But what? She thought about it. She had read something about danger...waste of oxygen... Oh yeah! 'Life without danger is a waste of Oxygen'. This would be nice on the broom. She decided to write these words along the length of the broom. She first gently traced the sentence and then using a small brush, she wrote the quote on the broom. Yup! Now it looked somewhat like a Gryffindor Broom!

Minerva looks at the work she has done so far. She shakes her head not happy with it. She decides a second coat of paint might work, but it's still missing something. She pulled out the glitter she has and puts it straight into the paint mixing the black with glitter and the yellow. She then puts the second coat of glittery paint onto the broom.

Once the paint was dry on the bottom portion of the broomstick handle, Alyssa started working on decorating the top portion with decorations. She painted badger footprints in black and cartoon badgers in both yellow and black stripes all around the top half of the handle. As she sat back to let the paint dry, she took out two big bowls and filled one with yellow paint and another with black.

Raven took a better broomstick than before. Ewww.. It was awful. Then she cleaned the broom.

"Scourgify!!"

Aww, poor little old school brooms. Tori trotted over to them and picked one particularly raggedly-looking one up. She then headed over to search through the pile of resources to find some tail clippers, handle polish, and general cleaning utensils.

Poor poor broom was going to need a bit of work, but Tori patted it consolingly anyway. No worries, buddy, this super Slytherin Quidditch star was on it!

Hmm.. It looked cleaner now. But it was not very clean. Then Raven cleaned the broom again.

"Scourgify!!"

Hmm.. It looked cleaner than before. Time to do next job!

After neatly clipping her broom's tail twigs and setting the clippings off to the side, Tori grabbed a bucket and dumped some tail cleaning solution in it. "Aguamenti!" she cast, filling up the bucket so it was nice and soapy. The redhead then proceeded to dunk and clean her broom in it, making sure to rinse off the suds when she thought it had been sufficiently dunked.

There, the broom was looking better already! Now for a nice polishing...

Right... Now its time to clip the broom's tail twigs.

clip.. clip.. clip..

Then... VOILA!! It was better enough!

With her broom looking much, much better, Tori parked her bum on the grass and rested the broom in her lap. She gathered a polishing cloth and some polish to her side and proceeded to start carefully polishing the broomstick's handle, being careful not to put too much on but rather just enough to make it glimmer in the afternoon sunlight.

Whewwwwwweee. The polish sure was stinky though. Once her broom looked brand-spanking new and awesome, however, Tori patted her broom and took it with her to browse through the other supplies.

How was she going to pimp her ride?!!

Right. Cleaning the broom, check. Clipping the twigs, check.
Then, what would she do?? Raven thought what would she do next.

AHA!!

Raven decided to polish the broom. She poilished the handle of the broom until to the twigs.

Alyssa had just two more things she needed to do for the top of the broom. She took out a stuffed toy badger from her backpack. A friend from Salem had sent it to her as a joke when they found out that she had been sorted into Hufflepuff. She didn't find it funny at all but now realized that she could it to good use. Taking out her wand she pointed it at the stuff toy and said "Diffindo". A green beam shot out from her wand and cut the stuffed badger neatly in half.

Alyssa put aside the bottom half and picked up the upper body removing some of the stuffing from inside the toy. She then picked up some of the magic glue, picked up one of broom twigs that she had trimmed off and poured some glue on it. She then stuck the twig into the toy and smeared it all around inside. She repeated the process until she was sure that she had enough glue inside before sticking it firmly on the broom head. The head of her broomstick now had a ferocious badger head with claws.
