Ira rubbed her hands together and tugged at her robes...It was turning colder now. Being from India, she had never experienced such climate.
But she was excited for what was to come...

Selina crossed her arms and followed the divination Professor out of the castle. She did not like him and if she was correct, which she was pretty sure she was, he wasn't very fond of her either. Divination was her favorite class and her most important class for certain reasons. A part of her found comfort in coming back to this class after she had gitten her visions somewhat under control. Now, though, he had stomped all over her excitement. This was going to be a long term.

Jory followed the Professor as he led the students to a place where Jory presumed he would continue their class. He was curious to know what would be thought next.

Beezus gently tucked her hair behind her ear as she walked outside along with the swarm of students taking the subject Divination. It was a wonder to her what they're going to do was. But she followed nevertheless.

He was just curious to what they were going to learn other than the bird pattern they just drew moments ago. Has the kid not been paying attention AT ALL this lesson? Corey went ahead and grabbed a bowl, not wanting to be one of the kids who had to sort out duplicating one. Medium sized stones and filling the bowl with water? Right, he was on it. He went off to the lake with his bowl and filled it, then returned to the main group and found a spot to sit at, stones now in his pockets. There were a bunch right by the lake shore after all.
He lay the stones out and spent some time adjusting them and thinking about food. |

Harvey did exactly as was instructed by the professor or risk having points taken away from him. He was working hard to gain points not lose!
He got a bowl and off he went to collect 10 medium sized stones, he put some in his pocket and some he cradled in his left arm. Then off he went to collect water from the lake, he wished he knew the spell that the professor was talking about.
He then put the bowl of water down and carefully lay the stones around the bowl as instructed.
He then waited for further instructions from the professor, as he watched his classmates complete the task given to them. |

Kimalia arrived nearly out of breath by the time the professor stopped. She needed to start building her stamina again. Wait what? 15 more points gone? Geez, this term was filled with strict teachers.
After hearing his instructions, Kimalia took a shallow bowl, smiling in thanks.
She looked around gathering 8 appropriate-sized stones before getting started with the process. Kimalia first began laying the stones carefully around the edge of the bowl. Let's see... add water. " Aguamenti." There! Fresh water. She decided to look at other students who might need help, maybe try a duplicating charm for the first time for them.

He looked more like he belonged now and not so oddly out of place, like he looked in the classroom, plus the natural light bouncing off him made him look even more glossy. She really wanted to pet him.
Right..they had something to do. Cassie quickly got a bowl and headed towards the lake. She took her time finding nice smooth medium size stones before filling her bowl and returning to the rest of the class.
Squat. Cass carefully lined the bowl with her stone and waited..tapping the surface of the water and watching the ripples to kill time.

Kurumi could practically see the house points flying away. Bye bye house points... Maybe they were all migrating south for the winter? And by south she mean in the negative numbers.
Head hanging for just a moment, Kurumi looked up when class resumed. Kurumi walked over to the bowls and grabbed one, tucking it under her arm, and walked down to the lake. She then knelt down and set the bowl to the side while she searched the bank for rocks. Using her robe as a make shift sling, Kurumi picked up seven rocks and then returned to where Thereos was waiting and laid the stones and bowl out like he had instructed.
Were they...making bird baths? She was afraid to ask.

Nathan walked outside with the professor and the rest of the class and was shocked hearing the teachers lack of respect for the students. Taking 15 points away just for asking what they were doing, thatss nuts. And no warning for talking during class. Sounded like Lefay, except worse. Nathan decided it best to just keep his mouth shut and learn.
And then the next assignment was given. Put a heavy stone bowl on the ground and fill it with water. Nathan grabbed a a bowl and put it on the ground. "augmenti", a bit of water came out but the more he concentrated the more that came out till he finally filled his bowl. This must be to attract the birds, cool.

She grabbed a bowl immediately once they were instructed to do so. Approaching the lake to get some water, she surveyed the bank for rocks and lucky enough, there were a lot of rocks around. After filling her bowl with water, she placed it on the ground and bent to pick up 8 medium-picked sized stones. After doing so, she returned to the place where Thereos was, carrying with her the bowl and the stones.
She followed the intructions, thus placing the stones on the edge of the bowl. Now what ?

Jonathan's jaw dropped. You have got to bloody kidding him. Fifteen points for asking that question? Jonathan stood still as he tried calming himself down. Fifteen points is a lot and that could only mean that he has to work extra hard to earn those fifteen points back. Not good.
Jonathan does not like this day. Quote:

Jonathan went to grab a bowl and as he heard the professor that one of the older students can help in duplicating the item, he took his wand out. "Geminio" he uttered.
Jonathan then went to get rocks for their activity. He did gather stones from where they were. It had a lot of stones lying around. So all you have to do was find the appropriate size. And now, for the water. "aguamenti". The stones were in place and as water squirted from his wand the middle portion began filling up.

Ashley moved to grab a bowl, taking it to get some water, wondering if he could put the rocks into it in order to carry them back. But he didn't know how this thing was supposed to work, and maybe putting the rocks inside the bowl would mess it all up. Although, if it was possible to do this without a bowl, just using rocks, then maybe letting the rocks and water touch wouldn't be such a bad thing.
So he went off to quickly gather rocks and water, sorting it all out when he returned, drying off the rocks with his robe before setting them around carefully. Halfway through, he looked around to make sure he was doing it right. Around the edge of the bowl meant on top, right? Not inside? He hoped so, because that was totally what he was doing, and he didn't want to get in trouble or get points off for... being too literal or something.

Louisa's eyebrows were done being raised in this lesson - this creature seemed to crave points loss and having a steel grip on students. Even aunt Brown was less strict! But that didn't make him less cool or interesting, of course, Louisa was still impressed by the fact that she was learning Divination from a Centaur. Maybe it'd do her good when she applies for jobs at the ministry..? Somehow..? Please...?
Snapping out of her pinky dream, she took out her wand and headed to get a bowl. Placing it on the ground she hurried to gather some stones - which wasn't hard to find - and placed them carefully around the bowl like the ma-- creature had instructed. Now, water. That was the hardest part. She stared down at the bowl with stones and then at the lake away from where they stood. Hmm. She didn't know the water spell, yet.
Groaning quietly at her stupidity she moved the stones away and ran to get some water from the lake.
Once there, she grabbed her robe with one hand and walked carefully to fill the shallow bowl with the water. Done! Releasing her robe so that the hems were wet she caught the bowl with both hands and slowly returned to where her stones were laid.
Louisa crouched, placed the bowl on the grass and rearranged the stones around it very carefully.
Now what?

Jesifur took a bowl and started gathering stones. Once she had nine stones she made her way to the lake and got some water. Back at the clearing she began stacking the stones around the edges of the bowl as directed. She had to overlap them slightly to make them all fit and hoped she was doing it right. She placed the last stone on and filled the center of the bowl with water. Jesifur looked back up at the professor awaiting the next instruction.

At least Nora got used to hearing that.
Trying not to think about that, she listened to professor Thereos and walked over to take a bowl. She could've just duplicate one, but she wouldn't risk ending up with a dozen of them, or even more. She also picked a few stones and placed them around the edge of the bowl, and then muttered " Aguamenti" to fill up the middle with water. At least that was a spell she knew she had no problems with. Hehe.
But still... what were they going to do with the stones and water?

| Watching as the students seemed alright with the first part of the task, Thereos couldn't help but feel envy at those who chose to cast charms. Darn Ministry; thinking centaurs were incapable beasts! They were just as capable, if not moreso to be able to handle a wand....
Relaxing his mind a bit before speaking, he nodded. "Right then. So you're almost ready. You have your bowl of water. When you look into water, there are good chances that you will see what exactly?" ooc: if you didn't get to do the first activity, feel free to do it later and add it onto the current stuff. She went back to where everyone had gathered in front of the Professor. She officially now had a headache in this class.
Lightly rubbing the temples of her head, she stared at the centaur professor, listening to what instructions he was giving. A bowl of water surrounded by rocks. How did any of that pertain to bird watching?
Nevertheless, she took a bowl, keeping close by in-case someone needed to have their duplicated as she searched for a few stones. Six of them was good, right? He said at least five to ten. Laying the stones carefully around the edge of the bowl like the professor said to do, she took out her wand and pointed it at the middle, before filling up the bowl with water. Oh, question.
Looking into the water for only a split moment, her gaze automatically turned up towards the sky. "The sky." she commented, frowning slightly. "Color, clouds...birds that pass over..." Might as well add in that part. She didn't know whether adding in 'ones reflection' would have...lost them points. It was a smart answer though!

The lesson will remain open for [about] another 12 hours to allow you to RP the activity =) Corey stuck his hand up.
"Well, depending on the angle you look at it, reflections of the sky?" It also depended on the bowl right? And how clear the water was. And how still. If the water wasn't still it wouldn't reflect anything.
... what were the bloody stones for though? |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Zahra Kettleburn Seventh Year | Inside Kitty | HIT ENTER | UNO Queen Aspen had taken up a spot as close as she could get to Thereos without being right under his... hooves. She was being careful not to stare, but was having a hard time reigning in her unbridled fascination and awe. Though others in the class seemed to have gotten over the Centaur shock factor, Aspen's curiosity and excitement was still blazing.
Right. Bowl. Stones. Birds.
...Could you read flight patterns of bats? She was too shy to ask, so Aspen just stuck to the directions given. She spent a few minutes digging out a little hole with her hands so her bowl would sit in the earth evenly, then easily filled the bowl with the Aguamenti spell.
"Reflections," she answered absently, already leaning this way and that to see different parts of the sky overhead reflected back at her. |
