All this yelling about a centaur...Had she really been that upset that she'd miss something so crucial?

Raising her hand, "Numerology...and Geomancy." There were many, of course...but Marilyn just liked these particular two.

Woah! another loosing points class! But he couldn't blame the centaurprofessorthing... for taking away points. Daichi held his arm in the air to answer the first question. "Uhm.. there is floromancy?" he said uncertain. "I think we learned that last year..." he wasn't sure though because he was suppose to learn so many things! He was going to have a troubled time when he was fifteen. Siiigh.

"Floromancy is a flower divination right?" The second year lowered his arm and looked nervously at the professor. He hoped he was right.

WHAT?! How many points had been taken from gryffindor?! Were people trying to come in last?! She was so mad at them, especially at Nika. She should have know better! Mabye if she read about them once in a while...

Oh a question! She raised her hand. "We've used tarot cards before." Though they totally did not impress her. She douted he would be using trivial things like that though.

Nora was surprised when Thereos started taking points because some students were (indeed, rudely) staring at him, but she managed not to stare with her wide eyes. She didn't stare at all, actually, because she didn't want to lose any points.

Her hand shot up in the air when he stopped speaking. "Is astrology a form of divination?" Well, it could be, from her point of view. The movement of the planets and all those stars and everything that was up there.

Louisa had settled down and her eyes widened at how MANY points were taken from students in a remarkable short period of time - talk about seconds. Gulp. She was not to mess or play smart with Mr. Centaur. Once the horse-man started talking, she had focused on his face and raised her hand to answer, "We've learnt bibliomancy last term!" She replied enthusiastically. The did use The Tales of Beedle The Bard for it and her own paragraph was totally senseless... but it was part of Divination, no?

W-WHAT?!

She had lost points?! But what had she done? She was shocked, she thought Centaur's were things of fairytales, why should that mean she should loose points?

"I-I'm sorry" she spoke, her bottom lip wibbling as she spoke and sinking down in her seat. She didn't answer the next question, primarily because she didn't actually know the answer, and secondly because she was scared that he would shout at her or take more points and Gwenyth simply couldn't have that.

Was it really hard for some students to be considerate of others and NOT be rude to the new professor. Sure he was different then most...ok all of the other professors nowadays but hello there once was a GHOST professor at Hogwarts.

Gideon did his best not to winch as points were taken off of various students including a few Gryffindors like Selina and a few newer ones. Instead focusing his attention on Thereos as the centaur started the class asking a question on types of divination they might know about and the fourth year raised his hand to supply an answer. "Theres astrology, the studing of the stars, moon, sun and planets to predict events." His mother wasn't a fan of this one since people tended to confuse it with her own area of study

Presley tentatively raised her hand. "We studied Floriography last term, sir." Presley had already known that, but he'd asked, and that was all she could think of. Presley was definitely never going to let him know, but as of right now, he scared the living daylights out of her. Weren't teachers supposed to be human? She'd never seen a centaur before. He was half of a horse! Did that mean he thought like a man? Or a horse? Or something completely different? She sank back further into her seat, hoping he wouldn't take much notice of her at all.

Sitting in her seat with her mouth open Nessie stared at the Professor's legs hooves. When she had walked into the classroom she was too tired to realize that the new Professor was a centaur, but now that she had sat down in her desk she couldn't stop staring. No it can't be she tried to convince herself, I'm probably just day dreaming. She rubbed her eyes and opened them again to see that the Professor's hooves were still there.

She looked at her desk and then up. It was rude to stare, even if she couldn't help it. She raised her hand after the professor had asked his question."First of all Sorry Professor" she said..incase he'd notice that she was still staring at him. "Theres Crystallomancy..but I haven't studies it yet, I've just heard about it" she continued to stare. She just couldn't stop.

Eino raised his hand. "There is capnomancy, which is the study of smoke rising from fire."

Marie looked over at Destiny as this horse Professor started taking points away. Really, was it a plan the professors had this term to see who could take the most points or what?

Raising her hand she answered the question. "We've learned about Aeromancy." Looking around she decided to elaborate a bit more, you know for the younger students who might not know what that meant. "That would be the reading of clouds."

Whaaaat?

Forget about losing all those housepoints, because really, everyone should be used to it by now, did Professor Thereos just say they were going to venture into the forest? The forest that had all those creepy creatures? The forest that had all those creepy creatures that she wanted to keep as pets!?

So very exciting!

Hearing the question, after the million gazillion housepoints were taken away, she slowly raised her hand. "There is Tasseography. We learned that." When, though, she might have forgotten.

He was a Centaur? Isobel had noticed, of course it was kind of hard to miss, but she hadn't said anything because that would be rude. She liked him. When he asked about Divination Isobel thought hard then raised her hand. "There is Palmistry, professor-er...I mean Thereos, and I don't think we studied it." Maybe. But she didn't think so. Last year she remembered studying fairy tales.

"Professor I don't know if this is the correct term for here, but muggles call this type of reading psychic readings. When someone can see the future by reading a palm or sensing the persons energy." Hoping she was correct she waited for others to answer.

Whaaa?????? They were going to go INTO the forest???? THAT'S SO- Oh. Never mind... I just lost points. I'LL NOT LET THE MAN TELL ME HOW LOUD I CAN BE!!!

Well.... Divination was not one of Jonathan's strong suits... But, being in nature quite often, he knew one. "The, um, tea leaf reading, one...." Yeah.... That one.

Yikes, Launna hadn't realised that there were so many different types of divination! She felt stunned as she listened to everything her class mates were saying. She didn't know much about the subject, but so far she was definitely finding it interesting. What other types of divination are there that haven't already been mentioned? she pondered. Then her hand shot up. 'Professor, isn't Arithmancy a type of divination - a way of predicting the future with numbers?' It was worth a try at least.

Heh. Their teacher was a HORSEY! CENTAUR! Awesome.

Tori shifted in her seat slightly and raised her hand. "Cartomancy is a type of divination, which is the reading of cards, like tarot cards n stuff."

Wow, he liked to take points too... was this was a Professor trend or what?

Nathan found it pretty awesome to be taught Divination by a centaur, the creature of divination. With the first question Nathan raised his hand and said, "First of all I find it an honour to be taught by a creature like yourself. I here centaurs are amazing divinaires. As for you're question I know aeromancy which is the study of weather is one", Nathan responded with a smile.

Divination. Wot the 'ell woz Divination?

Or... more to the point, wot the 'ell woz tha' fing? Tha' 'alf man, 'alf 'orse fing standin' right there!

Thomas blinked, trying his best not to stare because: A) His ma always said it was rude to stare, and B) Fing was a little bit scary.

..and grumpy.

He sank in his seat a little, chewing on the end of his quill and drifting off when the students around him began naming forms of Divination. Tom, of course, had no clue whatsoever. He would have been a lot more interested if they'd been learning about the horse-man. Questions like, did he go to the loo in the same way humans did? Did he eat nothing but straw and the occasional sugar lump? Were his SHOES PERMANENT? needed answering.

But Tom refrained from asking because: A) It wasn't his style to speak to professors unless he really had to, and B) He didn't want to lose any housepoints. If that quiet girl Gwen wotzit could lose them so easily, Tom didn't want to risk doing the same.. so he sat there in silence.

Raising her hand, Em suggested "Isn't there something called Meteoromancy? I believe it has to do with meteors." Wouldn't it be cool to study that at night?

Jesifur raised her hand and when called upon she said, "Sir, would astrology be a form of divination? Also palm reading and tea leaf reading." She turned a bit pink after giving three answers quickly and quickly lower her head.

Kennedy was still amazed of the fact that he was going to get taught by a centaur. At first he had thought the creature professor had broken into the school and stuff, but his classmates called him professor, so...yeah. The fourteen year old thought about the question. He's never been one to believe in Divination. He raised his hand and said, "Using crystal balls in a form of Divination." Kennedy didn't know all the fancy terms everyone else was saying, except for Tarots. That one sounded familiar.

A Centaur as a teacher...that was SUPER COOL!!!

Well...actually a centaur alone was awesomely cool to Josh's eyes for very well known reasons. So he spent the fist minutes of the class with only watching the new Divination professor carefully.

Now, Josh wanted to be a centaur too. Was that possible? Like if Thereos bit him or something like werewolves.

Eh?

Anyway the awesomely cool horse-man was asking a question so Josh supposed he would have the honour of providing an answer ''There's Scrying too, Thereos'' he did not want to be called professor, right? ''You know, with reflective objects.''

Sage raised her hand high in the air before answering the question,

"Isn't Astology and Numberology apart of Divination. I think my aunt also said something about Tarot Cards..." Sage trailed off, mumbling down into her lap.

Two bloody house points for looking at his horse body? Was he bloody serious? She didn't even say anything, she was just caught off guard. So because she was not expecting him to be a centaur she was supposed to be penalized? No, she did not like this man at all. He was going to ruin her favorite class. Merlin forbid one of his lessons spurred on a vision. Was he going to dock points from the other students because they were starring at her shaking body? Well, according to his logic he would. He wasn't the only person here who was different and the fact that he took off points from her because she simply noticed he was different and tried to cover it up really got her going.

So she sat back in her seat slightly put out at all that had just occurred. She folded her arms over her chest... two BLOODY house points.

When he started the lesson she raised her hand to answer his question, "Bibliomany, the art of Divination through books, we covered last term with Professor Bishop." Who Selina really wanted there teaching at the moment, not him.
